I came to this place a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered.
When I arrived, I asked if we could sit at one of the outdoor tables — there was a two-top and a four-top available. I asked to take the four-top since it had shade (it was just my husband, my dog, and me). The server looked me straight in the eye, completely expressionless, and said, “No.”
I politely asked why, and she replied that they needed to keep that table available for larger parties on weekends. Fair enough, I thought — so I asked if we could sit at the two-top but move the umbrella for shade. Again, she said “no,” with no explanation and the same cold tone.
At that point, I asked if we could sit inside. She looked at my dog and asked, “Is he a service animal?” We said yes. Then she immediately followed up with, “What is he trained for?” — again, dry and dismissive, as if she couldn’t care less. The whole interaction was so unpleasant that we decided to leave and have brunch across the street instead.
To make matters worse, when we finished eating across the street, we looked over and saw two people seated at that same four-top table we were denied. I went back to speak with the manager, hoping for some understanding, but instead received a generic, unhelpful response that completely dismissed the issue.
I used to really love this place, I pass by often, but since that day, I’ve notice multiple times that two people are seated at the same four-top tables they said were only for “larger parties.” It’s extremely disappointing and has left a bad taste in my mouth — not from the food, but from the lack of basic courtesy and consistency in how they treated us.
