Matt Rogers’s Grub Street Diet

"Found across from a museum while in Bogotá, this small place has an all-Spanish menu that can feel intimidating to non-Spanish speakers; service is casual and playful (the host laughed and welcomed the author in). The meal the author ordered featured rice and beans with an over-easy egg, a well-cooked sausage and ground beef, and was filling enough that altitude affected how much was eaten. We arrived shortly before closing and were well received and staff very friendly. The waitress Veronica, was very attentive, welcoming and willing to please. We had expresso's, lattes and drinks which were delicious. I highly recommend stopping for food and drinks. Love the ambiance and cozy atmosphere.

Nice looking restaurant at the inside garden of a building, where you can have lunch or dinner surrounded by the beautiful architecture and plants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. However, quality of the dishes is unfortunately quite poor. The menu of cocktails is quite extensive, but the wine options are very limited (and don't taste good).

Really nice place in the middle of Candelaria, very close to the Cathedral. Fair prices. Lovely yard. I ate the Ajiaco de Santa Fé de Bogotá 🇨🇴. Excellent. Note it has cilantro.

10 out of 10!! Just coming in it's definitely worth it! A great example of our colonial architecture! You'll love it and the great service is just the cherry on top 💓

This is a 400 years old house with an ambience that will make you feel super great. Once you enter the place you will travel back in time, my waitress was Laura, and she did an amazing service, she was very sweet, humble and friendly, I ordered a churrasco steak, I particularly like it medium rare, however they do not do it so they offered medium instead and I had to say I was really surprised, it tasted delicious, for drink, I had a red wine, my partner had a spaghetti carbonara that aso tasted incredible, I'm sorry I do not have picture of the food, they didn't last long on the plate :-) the ambience was so good that I was the last person to leave the place so you get an idea how good I felt here, I think that there is not enough words to describe the experience, the food, the environment, the service, if you are a local, this place is a must go, if you are a tourist, you won't 't be disappointed, LAST THING, you won't break your bank account coming here and that's an super plus, thank you everyone especially Laura, for such an amazing experience.
