This place is super cute—part café, part market—with an amazing selection of fresh, local New Mexican goods. You’ll find everything from produce and pantry staples to frozen soups, sides, and fresh-baked goodies. The café serves delicious made-from-scratch food (the burritos are a must-try!) and standout drinks—especially the matcha. Bonus points for the super dog-friendly vibe and the adorable patio. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited the Tiny Grocer specifically to pick up a couple of bottles of Zia Sodas, but we also perused the store while we were there. The Grocer has a nice assortment of locally produced goods for sale. We had already eaten, or we would have picked up lunch at their café next door. There is a lovely patio out back in the shade to sit and enjoy the day.

Sat for 90 minutes waiting for our food (nachos, /soup). Quality was ok, but mostly on par with what you would find in a co-op deli. If your limited on time and want to explore old town I would not come here.

I love Mom & Pop stores! We ran into this one on accident. Went in for the few items we needed to continue our field trip. Perfection absolutely perfection in every way. Greetings when we walked in asked if we needed help right off the back, the Man said I’ve never seen you before are you from here? Good conversation attitude and a great departure all that was left need was to be walked to my car groceries carried and my door opened. Now that is Business! Keep doing it.

I was only in ABQ for a few days but visited Tiny Grocer multiple times. They make an amazing matcha tea!! Their store has gorgeous produce fresh from local farms. The lettuce was wonderful and the tomatoes were beyond delicious - just the way i remember them fresh from my Mom’s garden. I brought home some green chili powder and red chili powder from their store and I am still enjoying wonderful memories of Old Town every time I taste these wonderful flavors. Lovely indoor tables and nice outdoor venue!

Google
Really unique syrups!! I tried the rosemary vanilla and it was so good. I also tried their lovage syrup in a matcha lemonade and it was the most intesresting thing I've ever tasted (in a good way).Too bad I'm from CA otherwise I would come back to try out all their other flavors. Very friendly service as well. Thanks for the lovely afternoon!

Yelp
Such a cute spot in old town! I stopped in for a small bite and got a piece of buttered toast and apple butter and damn it they delivered. That shit was sooo delicious, simple yet perfect. They have a good area and a grocer area, if you are looking for teas, herbs and local fare this is your place. I will be back soon for toast again and maybe a beer!

Yelp
We stopped into this place to get out of the New Mexico sun. It seems to be one of only a few places that offers NA cold drinks, such as Italian sodas. Yes they do have some local beers, coffee and tea along with mixed cocktails. They do offer some breakfast items, baked goods and carrot cake by the slice. They also serve up salads, sandwiches and burgers. This place has some outdoor seating which faces the public parking lot directly next to them. They do offer free water on their patio. They also have public restrooms. Connected to this bar is a really cool specialty grocery store. It has lots of herbal remedies, frozen meat, local artisan breads, aromatherapy items, local seeds for $6, artisan soaps and local honey. Definitely a nice place to cool off after walking through Old Town.

Yelp
Heard some folks talking about their beef stew when I was walking around so I figured I'd go in and try it. It was solid but nothing to really write home about. Beefy, green chili. Came with tortilla chips that were weirdly difficult to chew, but not in a stale way? Even some time in the stew wasn't enough to soften them.

Yelp
Another wonderful day in central New Mexico. Join Tom Neiman, Jim Tritten, and some of the boys from the VA Creative Writing Group as they venture into the heart of old Albuquerque. "Old Town" was the center of the metropolis until the railroad came and built a station in what was then called "New Town." We visited Tiny Grocer ABQ, which is directly south of the Albuquerque Museum between San Felipe and 19th and north of Old Town Road. Plenty of parking with no meters. Why would you go there? Because Tiny Grocer ABQ is a great community partner and doubles as a bistro (with superb burgers) and a marketplace. The friendly owner and staff are featured in our YouTube video report. Just click on the following link and enjoy watching us enjoy ourselves with the executive chef who rose to our challenge to create the best burger he knew how to make. It was G-R-E-A-T! https://youtu.be/cpUrVkT_Fsc?si=JevuLBA7HgWtIPX_

Yelp
This is my second time here to dine in. And I just have to say both times it was just a big okay. And never great. I can't quite pinpoint it, but for the lack of flavor, it is incredibly expensive. Two 8oz non-alcoholic drinks and two meals cost nearly $50. It's a very casual place too so can't quite marry the price tag and the atmosphere. The staff has always been very nice, so I appreciate that.

Yelp
Hands down the best breakfast burrito I've had in NM, it shouldn't be this good. Also, everything else is so generously flavorful and made with love. The BLT is also to die for. There's no reason to go to any other place in Old Town for breakfast or lunch. Oh and the brownie!!

Yelp
If you are on your way to a great day in Old Town stop in Tiny Grocer, next to Albuquerque Museum. The Ihatov pear/ pepper french toast is exceptional and red chile ( find the recipe on TG website) breakfast burrito competes with the best in the Duke City. Piñon coffee please, and served by a great staff. Thanks Liz.

Yelp
KNIVES TO GRIND Every first and third Monday an 88-year-old man comes into the "tiny grocer ABQ", at 1919 Old Town Road NW in Albuquerque, laden with boxes of scissors and knives, from red pocket knives, to a large hunting knife in a leather sheath. He settles down in his usual spot in this small store with his grinding stones already in place where he will sharpen your knives for free. He is there from 11am through 1pm. Doc is accompanied by his lovely wife who enjoys talking with the customers. This genial gentleman, wearing a black cowboy hat and one of his collection of large Indian necklaces (often bought from local Old Town vendors) will tell you what he thinks of your knives. I had taken three small ones and was complimented for not washing them in the dishwasher though one of them with a worn blade was deemed "on its way out." He gives advice and information about sharpening them yourself with a rod (metal just repairs rough edges, but a ceramic tool will sharpen) and in minutes he hands you back sharp knives, the blades protected by blue tape for the ride home. Sadly, these ancient skills seem to be few and far between, although I think blacksmithing is still being practiced around here. I thank Doc for the generous sharing of his time and expertise. As I am handed my now sharp knives I am urged to "come back again." There are more knives in my kitchen drawers so I probably shall.

Yelp
Love this place!!! About as farm fresh as you can get. It's like a growers market every day of the week!

Yelp
I really like this place. Very friendly staff, local and healthy food options, a nice herbal shop section, nice natural apothecary products. Good hot beverages, GF baked goods. They used to have their own menu that I loved, which I miss. There is now a new restaurant serving their own menu that does not speak to me as much, but still good. Thank you!

Yelp
This adorable little grocer is filled with high quality local products. I found everything from local honey and eggs to meats and chile products. I will definitely be back the next time I need a few essentials. I enjoyed sitting on the little patio and watching the hustle and bustle of Old Town in the summer. After almost 8 years in Albuquerque, I never do spend enough time in Old Town. My iced vanilla latte was refreshing on this hot summer day, however $6 (before tip) is pretty pricy for a basic coffee. Next time I'll probably skip the coffee and focus on the local produce.

Yelp
Kinda disappointed- the good: coffee drinks were great! Pastries were great! I had a great tahini scone that was perfect with my chai latte. I would totally come back for those two things. The bad - I got a grilled cheese and soup. There was only one soup - Hungarian mushroom- great! I love mushroom soup. This had no flavor or seasoning - not even salt. The dried mushrooms were still hard and chewy and there was little to no cream. The sandwich was also super bland. The description said it came with green chile, chimichurri sauce and greens. Mine was nothing but bread and cheese. I would have told them but it got busy right after we ordered so I didn't want to bother them. I work in the area so I will try them again probably because the place is cute and cozy and also has outdoor seating. Hopefully I just caught them on an off day.

Yelp
Such a really weird experience this evening. Went in to get some soup the person behind the counter supposedly could not hear me and asked me several times what I was saying and then looked at me and said "can you be a nice person?" I looked at her and said I am very nice person. I was confused and shocked for her to judge me in that manner. Completely uncalled for . We have been giving this establishment money since they had their tiny store at their first location. Won't be going back again ..... these gen Z aged people think they are owed something. How about girl with the dark hair who served me as I told you " can you please not be so sensitive!" And then when I asked her how long would it be she said awhile! To serve me soup .... Unbelievable! I asked because I was going to the other part of the store to stock up on produce but her smarmy comment did not help. I got my soup and went the La Montinita to finish my shopping. Please speak with this employee!

Yelp
Cool little shop steps from the Old Town Plaza. It is part coffeehouse / bakery / restaurant and part grocery store. We went to the restaurant side which is small with not a lot a seating. The coffee and baked goods (tahini scone) were good. We had the grilled cheese sandwich with Hungarian Mushroom soup. To be kind, the soup was average at best. Actually it was very watery and the mushrooms were hard. Not very good. The sandwich was good because it was made with bread from Ihatov Bread and Coffee company. However the menu said the sandwich had a sauce and greens with it but it was only cheese. The service was good. The menu changes daily so perhaps we went on a day when the soup was subpar and the sandwich was decent. Another day, another menu and perhaps the food will be better. I might go back for coffee and baked goods while sitting on the patio. Eating a meal will be dependent on the daily menu.

Yelp
Fabulous food. Really enjoyed the curry and community supper!

Yelp
This is a lovely little spot to pop into for a cold drink in Old Town. I was able to get an ice cold sparkling water and a kombucha, both from local NM companies to enjoy on a very hot day. And the two young folks working the store that day were charming and knowledgeable.
