"Austin bakery Tiny Pies is expanding with its third location in West Lake Hills at 3736 Bee Caves Road, Suite 8, starting sometime in May. The pie shop will share its address with smoothie and açaí bowl chain Blenders & Bowls, which is already open. Tiny Pies will have its own counter, though, but the two businesses will share seating. The bakery’s menu will remain the same: small pies, sweet and savory, and quiches. Its hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily when it opens. Ahead of the opening date, it will host pop-up sales at the space, with the first being held on Saturday, March 14 (aka Pi Day)." - Nadia Chaudhury

The beef pot pie was great for lunch. I chose to bring it home and heat it in the oven, but they can also heat it up at the store too. I originally just came to the adjacent Blenders and Bowls which shares the same space. So I thought to give it a try. The apple bourbon carmel pie was also very good. Perfectly sized portion, not overly sweet, and a good crust.

The crawfish pot pie was amazing! Great flavor, perfect single serving size, I can’t wait to try more.

Four stars for the Texas Two Step pie and key lime pie. Did not at all like the spinach pie. Crust is pretty good. But the filling is not good at all. Service was fine. If it were not for the two pies I really liked I’d knock a star off because for putting something from the case to the box they offer to tip themselves very handsomely. I was pretty surprised. Enough to do a triple take.

I stopped by the adjacent Blenders & Bowls, and I decided to try some tiny pies. I really enjoyed the pies themselves. However, I won’t be going back. When the person working there was charging my credit asked me my requested tip, and I said 15%. She nodded, but I saw her sneakily click on the 25% tip box on the screen. I didn’t say anything at the time, but that kind of dishonesty makes me question the quality of the products being sold.

This may have been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. I made a phone order on Friday for a key lime pie to be picked on Sunday afternoon. I arrived at the store and the poor girl behind the counter looked like a deer in the headlights when I told her I was here to pick up my order. There was no pie and no way to have it made. This was for a birthday. I felt like was in an episode of Seinfeld, "you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to HOLD the reservation." I purposely preordered and set a date and time for pickup because it was a 45 minute drive. I ended up spending 1.5 hrs on the road, fuel burned, money taken and no pie for the birthday party. They are refunding my money but I feel like I lost so much more. With some many other great options for pie in Austin, I won't be fooled by Tiny Pies again.

These are the best pies in Austin!!! 10/10 would recommend!! My personal favorites are- Apple, Chocolate Cream, & Lemon Meringue. Also the savory pies are sooooo good, my favorite is the Spicy King Ranch Pot Pie.
