Really good resturant for a special occasion. Booking online was seamless. Pastas were cooked excellently, burrata was really good and the Tiramisu was second to none. Not the cheapest, but was an amazing deal, great atmosphere and stellar service, going as far to give us a card for the occasion we were celebrating.

TIPO is an absolute must when visiting Edinburgh. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was exceptional. The drinks were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal and adding to the overall experience. TIPO truly delivers on every level: service, setting, food, and drinks. I came here during my first ever solo traveling trip and I honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel completely at ease, so lovely, welcoming, and attentive without ever hovering. It made dining alone feel genuinely enjoyable and comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavour, beautifully done, and clearly made with care. The cocktails were just as good and definitely a highlight of the night, expertly made and seriously delicious. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and welcoming, which really stood out to me. I left feeling well looked after and already planning a return visit. Such a great first experience, I’d highly recommend it.

the restaurant is small but has a lovely, cozy atmosphere that really makes you feel at home. we tried the vegetarian lunch menu and the arancini was exceptional but the green pasta was a bit bland. overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

Totally recommended to foodies. This is an amazing place to go and eat some authentic Italian food. They have excellent seating and preparation of the food. No doubt they've been in Michelin Guide. Maybe still are - not sure sorry. I had a variety of dishes and none was less than excellent. The mixture of the spices, herbs and tastes of the starters, main course all compliments each other. No one thing is mismatched and it's a roller coaster of good food and drinks. I had a whiskey infused with cherry - had three of them, so you know how good it would have been. Each sip had a new note coming up in my mouth. A bit costly if you have drinks and food together but if you don't usually drink then it should be < 100 GBP for a party of two (taking into account you eat from each section). Definitely go with their Tiramisu and strawberry sorbet at the end of your meal.

Tipo is a Michelin BiB restaurant on Hanover in Edinburgh. A quaint space with charm. The service was extremely professional and respectful. And the food was spectacular. Great presentation and flavors. 5 x 🍲🍲🍲🍲🍲

Really friendly staff, especially the bartender. However, i surprisingly didn't find the pasta that tasty. The ragu pasta itself was rather tasteless and doughy. I struggled to finish.

A great restaurant to visit! Edinburgh is backed with restaurant so picking a good one can be hard work. Well this is on you should go to! It has everything, class, sophistication, really tasty plates, great service and is reasonibly priced. The menu has been clevely put together, and done to a high standard. For two people expect to have around 5 to 6 dishes. Total bill for us came to £120 which included drinks which on reflection is not much for this level of quality. Our waitress/bar tender Rachel was so friendly and helpful! What a pleasure she is for the business. A must go to restaurant!
