Dined on a Saturday night and placed orders around 845pm. The food took a while like 30mins to be served even though the restaurant was relatively empty. Ordered the calamari, carbonara and alfredo. The fried calamari which was about $20 looked like leftover crusts. The carbonara was so bland even though I had paid for truffle oil which I couldn’t even taste a hint of it and the egg came out overcooked. I had to send it back to the kitchen and even then it took 10mins. Alfredo was bland too. We had requested for iced water but the staff gave us a cup with only the ice cubes too 😭
I think the staff knew that the food served was below standard as after they had asked if we enjoyed the food and we feedback that it could be better, they replied “yeah, sorry because it’s late and we’re almost closing.” I don’t think that’s a valid excuse as we had ordered before 9pm, during the time last orders were already being asked (idk if it should be asked that early) and there was still an hour before closing.
There were small black bugs on the dried noodles hanged and on the cushioned seats which was not pleasant to see while eating. I had to flick 1-2 off from the seat because they were crawling on it. Hope the standard improves, the staff gets trained better and the restaurant be more clean/hygienic.
