"Tipografia Alimentare is well positioned with outdoor tables along the Martesana canal in the north of Loreto (Nolo) area. At breakfast, the counter-service cafeteria serves whole-grain pastries like cardamom buns with coffee from top Italian microroasters. Lunch and dinner bring table service, along with a menu of seasonal comfort food: warm root vegetable salads, slow-cooked bean soups, and charcuterie boards paired with natural Italian wines. Must-try dish: On Fridays, the shop’s talented bakers flex their talents with sweet and savory maritozzi (sweet buns)." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones
A nice place for a breakfast in the morning, business lunch or a nice aperitivo in the evening. You have tables by the canal (during spring to autumn) and seating inside. They have good options of beer from the tap, typically book a table else you will not find a place to sit. The place is open on Mondays and great if you are looking around. It is more a place for short eats and not a full fledged dinner. The portions are typically small and may be a bit pricy as you need to order more dishes.

Very good all around - the desserts awesome, especially the American-style chocolate chip cookie! Very nice menu that offers a variety of international dishes, not just the same Italian fare that every other restaurant serves.

Nice option for sharing small plates. The food was very good, combining new flavours in a modern way. Mostly vegetarian based.

Staff were brilliant- my Italian is poor but communicated my desire for local wine and a vegan nibble and enjoyed my server’s recommendation. Other sittings by the river. Cosy happening place. Thanks all. ( no salad on menu the night I visited or vegan options on pudding or main )

Lovely, cozy, small “garage” place with the great selection on natural wines. Food is more or less vegan but tasty. Simple as it is with soul.

The interior and atmosphere of the place is nice.
Went for aperitivo: Please be warned that this place does not serve any sides with your drink. Maybe the waiters could tell the customers that “aperitivo” does not include any sides (chips or olives) and that they have to order those separately? The olives and 2 almost bite sized focaccia cost €4 extra.
Ordered Negroni and the mix was a little light, like it wasn’t a 1:1:1 ratio.
I don’t understand why the place is famous for aperitivo at all. There are so much more better places for a more reasonable price.

I haven't have a lunch here yet but the snacks, coffee and dolce are top notch. Especially dolce... Homemade, not too sweet, very interesting taste, makes you crave for more.
Besides, the interiors are nice. Dressed with plants, bottles of wine, books and small artistic paintings. Very cozy atmosphere overall. We'll be back here definitely!
