FYI: It appears that they only serve food on weekends, Friday-Sunday (per their website, although you have to click "menu" to find that info and they could do a better job clarifying on the main page). Plan accordingly.
A hidden slice of magic. Located behind an unassuming residential house. There's a sign in the front but it looks like a relatively normal house. Once you walk through the gate... you enter an entirely new world. I had no idea this was a décor shop until afterward, when I checked their website. I did not notice an entrance into the shop so it may be closed due to Covid. However, their patio is open for food/drink with limited hours.
ATMOSPHERE: Amazing. Mediterranean vibes. Beautiful furniture, gorgeous plants, and lovely outdoor lights. It's one of the most photogenic patios I've ever visited.
DRINKS: It's a wine bar so they have a variety of wine options. I had a wine spritzer made with local pixie tangerines. It was excellent!
FOOD: You order at the outdoor camper (not sure if this is a Covid improvisation or if it's there all the time). We ordered a cheeseboard, which was fantastic. We didn't get to pick the cheeses but it came with Manchego, Brie, and some sort of goat cheese. The Manchego was surprisingly good. I've had Manchego in the past and wasn't impressed but they made a convert out of me. I even enjoyed the goat cheese, which I'm usually not a fan of. Excellent quality. The bread that accompanied the cheese was also amazing. Warm and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I'm drooling again! Finally, we ordered a chicken empanada -- it was soooooooo good. Superb filling, tasty shell. Just blew me away. Do not hesitate to eat here!
SERVICE: Very friendly and quick.
PARKING: Pretty easy to find on the street. Free -- Ojai is cool like that.
