Tipsy Cow Burger Bar - Review - Redmond - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Tipsy Cow is the burgers/fries/shakes spot for people who are also really into beer. The massive bar has a huge lineup of taps to go with outrageous burgers like The Rockstar, which comes topped with beer-battered strips of maple-glazed bacon. if that gives you anxiety, they also have salmon sandwiches, turkey burgers, and decent salads. Another key detail: all of the milkshakes have the potential to be spiked with booze." - Aimee Rizzo

02.June.2025 First meal with my DD studying at Digipen Redmond. Family were excited and DD has not tired this Tipsy Cow yet. Server was attentive and polite. I noticed the service culture is very friendly and the vibe is on point. Asparagus beer battered was my favourite. Crispy, not oily, fresh, yummy

AMAZING! This is hands-down our favorite place since moving to Washington. Staff is extremely friendly, informative, and accommodating. Originally, we only went here because it was close and had food selections for the kids, but this quickly became a go to spot. Highly recommend the blue cheese chicken sandwich.

Google
Great place to grab a burger and drink. Their housemade sauces have fresh complex flavors that awaken your taste buds. And the burgers are full of flavor.

I have been coming to this spot for the last 8 years. They have been consistently good the entire time. I have tried about half the burgers on the menu and every single one of them are excellent. There is plenty of free street parking but there is also a garage in the building where you can park for free as long as you validate your license plate with the staff when you walk into the restaurant. I love this place and will keep coming back.

Google
Amazing burgers, fries, shakes and kids meals- you get a lot for the price, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the seafood and rockstar burgers

Google
Was given this as a recommendation by some people at post doc Brewing. I love a good burger, and the menu here does not disappoint. I grabbed a beer from post doc(lager) and the winemaker burger. The bean sprouts and cheese combo were just delicious. I also opted for the sweet potato fries. I got to try the regular fries as well but they were just 'fine' Highly recommend the sweet potato fries, and will be coming back here next time im in town. Staff were friendly. I walked right in as a solo diner and enjoyed the bar seating. Prices are a bit on the high side VS what I normally expect to pay for a burger but everything in the area is more expensive in my experience. Was crowded and busy, so plan accordingly. Street parking nearby was easy to find.

First set of fries with my burger were lukewarm. Server cheerfully and quickly replace them with fresh fries, a win all around. As for the burger, my Patty was cooked well but medium well was what I ordered. The beers were good. Service made up for the lack of a fourth star under food

Google
Service is good and friendly. I wish there were more outdoor seating. We ordered the fried pickles 4.5/5, Tipsy burger 3.5/5, chicken scratch 4/5, truffle fries side 3/5, and classic Caesar salad with turkey patty 3/5. Good beer and wine selections.

Yelp
We visited for lunch on Sunday with a party of four adults and two kids and it was an ok experience. We arrived and were initially at a high top, doesn't work with kids, and moved to a table near the door. Should have moved again, every time the door opened we enjoyed a nice, cold breeze. The waiter came by and took drink orders, their margaritas are tall and strong. We ordered appetizers; Buffalo Wings and Loaded Tots. For our mains we ordered the Tipsy Burger, the Arsonist, Beast Mode, and kids meals. Here was my first issue, if I order apps, they should come out first. The waiter brought everything at once. The food was delivered hot, fresh and tasty. The burgers were good, but a bit small for the price point. The service was spotty. He would not be around for a while, then visit more frequently. He would bring a drink, or plate, and deliver it to the opposite side of the table, to have it passed to the correct seat when he could have just taken it to the person. Overall, good food, sketchy service and a bit pricey.

Yelp
It has been a while since my last visited, but I remember I had a good experience at Tipsy Cow. This location was actually the first place I've ever had a burger from the Eastside, even before I moved to the Seattle area. I went with a few of my friends, I don't remember which burger I ordered since I asked my friend to order for me, but it was a solid choice! The burger was cooked well and the bun (I think it's a brioche?) was pretty nice. The fries were seasoned with what I believe was rosemary and salt which was fragrantly tasty! I'll have to come back here again when I am Redmond.

Yelp
For a place that specializes in burgers, Tipsy Cow was as average as it gets. The food didn't stand out as anything special, which was a bit disappointing given the expectations for a burger joint. Don't get me wrong the food was solid and service was great but as a burger restaurant I have to hold the burger to a higher standard. If you're looking for an extraordinary burger, you might want to explore other options.
google avatar

Yelp
Great burgers! Lots of cool and interesting options. Service is fast and there's lots of seating. Waiters are very nice and welcoming. I got the winemaker, I wish I can taste the truffle a bit more. But overall, treat and tasty burger. I got it with a side of salad.

Yelp
If you're looking for an expensive burger with interesting names, then you come to the right place in Redmond. We had a reservation for a dinner here and they were nice enough to keep our table since we arrived 15 minutes late. The food is expensive but the service is good, although they try to nickel and dime you for swapping one item with another on the burger. Net net not a bad experience, although I am unlikely to come back here during my next visit to Redmond.

Yelp
I recently visited Tipsy Cow Burger Bar with my friends, and we tried the Mother Clucker, El Bandito, and Notorious P.I.G. This place is amazing, and we absolutely loved the burgers here. Definitely the best TOP burger place in the greater Seattle area. The flavours are spot on, and the burgers were simply fantastic. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The Mother Clucker was juicy and flavorful, the El Bandito had a perfect mix of spices, and the Notorious P.I.G. was rich and savoury. The fries and dips were mouth-watering and perfectly complemented the burgers. Even thinking about them now makes my mouth water. The ambience is classic, giving you that perfect burger joint feel, and the service is great, making the overall experience even better. This is a place worth visiting--top-notch burgers that are truly top of the game. Just visit here, take a bite, take a sip of your favourite drin, and thank me for recommending this place. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Burgers were delicious! They were running a little behind but were so apologetic, we didn't mind the wait.

Yelp
Parking next door fast service food is fair, the best bargain was kids meals at ten dollars. Burgers are 20 and up. Fair quality fries are not crispy but good flavor

Yelp
We have been to Tipsy Cow many times. I am surprised that I haven't written a review. Oops. Always crowded. Always quick to deliver the order. Always reliable. It is not cheap. We think we get a good enough value to return again and again. The interior is basic with many booths. The merchandises for purchase at the front are quite cute. The Food: Tipsy Burger, $17.50 + 2 for Onion Rings - 4 Stars Menu: 7 oz Custom Ground Beef Patty, Bibb Lettuce, Tomato, Yellow Onion, Tipsy Sauce, and choice of cheese The namesake burger is a reputable burger worthy of the name. For a beef burger, less fuss is better. And always get the Beecher's Cheese. This is hubby's standing order. We tried the onion rings this time. Nah. Not going to do that again. The sweet potato fries are better. Seatwon, $20 + $2 for Sweet Potato Fries - 4.5 Stars Menu: Tipsy Spiced Wild Caught Salmon Filet, English Cucumber, Red Onion, Alfalfa Sprouts, Avocado Seatown, no sprouts, no tartar, and sweet potato fries is my standing order at Tipsy Cow. After trying other items, this is it. The Seatown is the only burger I order cuz it's fantastic! They always cook the salmon filet beautifully. (P.S. They regularly overcook the ahi tuna, i.e. Big Eye.) I always get a sea of sweet potato fries that I have extras to take home. Excellent upgrade.

Yelp
The burgers were so good and server Chris was very honest about things that were good and not as good on the menu and he asked for my preference on the cook of my burger and I also liked how there is rosemary in the strawberry lemonade and also I like the cows in the front because they're really cute and also the booth seating was pretty cool also there is a nice burger vibe throughout the restaurant and it makes you hungry

Yelp
Good place for a burger and shake (or spiked shake, in my case). We started off with some fried calamari and chicken wings. I got the Winemaker Burger, and really enjoyed it, and been stickingto orderingthis same burger here since. My bf got the Rockstar, and he really liked it. And we got spiked shakes, Northwest Berry and Cookies and Cream. Everything was tasty. We enjoyed the food. And service was great.

Yelp
Oh man... I had such a fantastic experience the last time I came, so I was super excited to introduce this place to someone else. Unfortunately, this was a far cry from my first time and this time, the high price tag of the burger really hurt because everything was kinda sad. I did discover this time that there is garage parking that they'll validate, which was nice. The Winemaker (2/5): Asked for medium rare and got a well-done patty, which was a huge disappointment. The combination of flavors is just greasy and heavy, especially with the brie and truffle aioli. It needed something lighter too help lift it, but the alfalfa sprout mostly just absorbed all the grease further. Fries (2.75/5): Sweet potato fries were burnt this time around and the truffle fries had the opposite problem where they weren't crunchy enough. Additionally, they just weren't seasoned as much as they were I had last time. Northwest Berry Shake (2.5/5): Unlike the last time I had it, the berries didn't taste natural at all. It might be because berries were out of season, but it definitely tasted closer to berry flavoring / cough syrup.

Yelp
The staff here are super-friendly. My kids love the milkshakes. But this place has one job, and it doesn't do it well. I have eaten here 7 or 8 times, and the burgers are always medium-well, and super salty. You can ask for medium, medium-rare, does not matter. I can't go back. Also, the onion rings are so over-fried that they taste like they're from a frozen package. Fries are decent. But just not worth it.

Yelp
Good spot for a quick decent burger but some of the burgers are too complicated and all the additions take away from the burger.
google avatar

Raven W.

Yelp
Seems like an upscale bar and grill vibe, with an Incredible menu of delicious fresh burgers and really sweet staff! I ordered a huckleberry cocktail that ended up being pretty watered down as opposed to the berry flavor I was hoping for, and I only had half of it. But, the burger was so delicious and the sweet potatoes fries were fresh, and my waitress was attentive and warm! I can't speak to their other cocktails, but it was one of the worst I've had in a while. Although, it seems like they have a lot of beers on tap so I probably should've just done that!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice ambiance but food could be a lot better. The service was great. The fries were terrible. Not sure what they tasted like but not one of the four of us ate them. We did enjoy the wings. The burger choices were great but I did t find the meat very good.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I came for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The place has an industrial vibe and was clean and comfortable. Our server was helpful and efficient and we discovered she was from our hometown! We were both hungry, but we decided to split a meal. I'm so glad we did! We got the Tipsy Burger and sweet potato fries. I guess the bucket of napkins on the table should have been our warning that the burger would be messy! But very tasty! The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection with just the right crispness. Both of us were satisfyingly full and happy. We had a great experience and definitely recommend Tipsy Burger!
google avatar

Dia G.

Yelp
Tipsy Cow was fine- not bad but nothing amazing. We got the milkshakes (both boozy and not-boozy). Be warned- you have to LOVE bourbon if you get the caramel milkshake with alcohol (thank you to our waiter for warning us about that before ordering!) because it is strong. We also got the cookies and cream one and coffee one- they were good but not good enough that I'm desperate to come back again. Truffle fries were also good, well seasoned and good quantity.

Yelp
Had a really great time here! Huge portions, very flavorful food, high quality and decent prices. Clay and Catherine were awesome- friendly, knowledgeable, and hospitable. Definitely come hungry because this is some serious food! Good tap list and full cocktail bar as well. I noticed even the pickles were special-- you can tell when something is small batch! Definitely planning on coming back.

Yelp
An amazing burger menu. You will not know what to tick. I chose one with fried bacon and an egg on top. The Rockstar. Great local beer menu service was excellent and a great atmosphere. Park in garage behind the restaurant they said they would comp the cost

Yelp
Great place with amazing choice of burgers and craft beer. Our favorite place around.

Yelp
I've heard many people speak highly of this place, so I was very excited to try them out when I was in Redmond. We came in on a late weekend afternoon with no reservation and had to wait 10-20 minutes--not bad. I really enjoyed the industrial vibes indoors. They have both stool and booth seating, as well as some space outdoors. The staff were attentive and quick. We learned that the Tipsy Sauce was their garlic aioli and that we could get sauce on the side for burgers. The food also arrived quite quickly after we put in our orders. The Experience: A delectable burger experience. The bun was soft and the sauces were tasty. I enjoyed the sharpness of the goat cheese. The burger was yummy as well. The burger eating experience was a bit messy for me, and I wish I got sauce on the side to avoid that. The fries that came with the burger were crispy and warm, but not too salty.

Yelp
A few things have changed about Tipsy Cow over the past couple of years - especially for a routine primarily take-out customer. The good news is overall, the burgers have remained somewhat similar to my original five-star review. The bad news, is that there has been a pattern of implicit and explicit cost-cutting/price-raising measures that combined, no longer warrant a five-star review. There have been very frequent price-increases, and most recently the addition of a 3% surcharge to both dine in and take-out orders. It now costs $20 for a basic Tipsy Burger (with fries), after tax and surcharge, before any tip - as the cheapest burger. During these past couple of years, Tipsy Cow was able to open a new location in Issaquah (which comparatively, seems to be rated poorer). I've also noticed smaller things over time in the quality that have made the burger overall drier. It's worth noting the front-of-house staff remain very pleasant and their servers, while busy, are usually great. I wish the business invested more in keeping the quality and value in their initial locations. Tipsy Cow remains an okay option, given the other choices in the area, but for me, is no longer a must-try option that I get routinely.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Got the tipsy burger ($17.50) with regular fries. The burger was cooked medium and very good. The best part was the crumbled blue cheese on top. The fries were good not great.
google avatar

Nena S.

Yelp
Love this place truffle fries are my fav! Strawberry lemonade with vodka is perfection! And the burgers are delicious! Service is always good servers there are always making sure we are good! Great location and great vibe every time!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here for lunch on Valentines day. It is a quick drive from Marymoor park. Parking was easy because it wasn't a busy time, but dinner time or weekends I'm sure it would be a challenge to find a spot. Seated right away, Kendra was our waitress. She did a great job. The food came quick and it was delicious! We had the rockstar burger and the chicken scratch burger. Plenty of sauces to choose from for the fries, and to top it off, the milkshakes were great as well. Really nice burger joint, with good ambiance.

Yelp
I tried the Tipsy Cow Burger Bar in Redmond on Thursday, 09/14/2023 for pick-up and I took it back to my hotel. This is my first time dining here. I can't comment on ambiance or service overall, since I ordered it online and picked it up from the front; however, I would probably give it a four star IF it tasted like it did and I ate it at the restaurant. I truly do believe that it is hard to accurately rate to-go and/or delivery food. What I ate in my hotel was four star quality; however, I feel it would have been five star quality in my hotel -- so it gets a five star. Parking is a pain. There is a retail parking garage for this apartment complex; however, there is so little space that it took me 10 minutes after I arrived to find a space nearby. That is the only reason I am deducting one star. Although parking may not be the direct fault of the restaurant, that has to be a consideration when choosing a place. I had the Arsonist. The burger was great with the Jalapenos and Aioli. However, I failed to read on the menu about the Roasted Habaneros (if you dare) -- as the menu states. Let me preface, I like spicy and often complain that "spicy" on a restaurant menu is never really spicy. These peppers are placed on top of the bun as garnish in the toothpick. Oh my gawd...they are spicy. Since I did not appropriately read the description, it shocked me. I truly mean, I was running around my hotel room for 10 minutes in shear pain and no liquid or beverage would make the burn go away. I am not joking, so please proceed with caution when eating the peppers on top of the burger. My side was the Jacked Up Fries which were absolutley delicious. I did like this place and would probably return again to try it in the future.

Travis G.

Yelp
Nice bartender and decent service I will say... although awful burger, I'm not going to lie. I ordered the winemaker and it tasted like I was chewing water. For the price this place is a joke. The "truffle fries" for a $5 up charge were basically sprinkled with parm. I mean I hate hating on a place but this place blows... and I was bummed because I was waiting to come here as I just moved.
google avatar

FaZe W.

Yelp
I don't get all of the hate with the place, super good food and pretty affordable as well. Burgers are cooked to order and there are a ton of options, i'd say everyone in this area should try before trying any other burger spots

Julie M.

Yelp
I think the burgers are delicious here. I've also ordered just appetizers and snacks. The only thing that keeps me from returning regularly is the pricing. It does seem a tad high for what it is. The service is always great and I love that they have outdoor seating.
google avatar

Wendi K.

Yelp
4.5 Stars Trendy casual spot with a HUGE burger menu with lots of variety as well as yummy fried sides/appetizers drinks on tap / boozy milkshakes. Prices are on the end of higher quality burgers. I tried the Big Eye ($17), with Onion Rings subbed for fries ($2). It was perfectly cooked, but maybe lacking on flavor a bit. Which is fair, it's hard to make tuna tasty. The onion ring side came with 4 large, perfectly breaded, crispy and fried. I also got an extra side of truffle aioli (+.50). My friends who got the beef burgers said they were great, and they came with loads of toppings. The fries are very plentiful as well. The Fried Pickles ($9.5) were delicious and crispy, and not too pickle-y (not a word, I know).
google avatar

Genevieve H.

Yelp
I've been dreaming of this burger for two years since I had it last ... still delicious. The truffle fries are very good but not the best I've had, however a winemaker paired with a tipsy lemonade is simply perfection. I recommend tipsy cow for a delicious not super expensive burger and cocktails.

Eric W.

Yelp
This place was pretty disappointing. The chairs are super high and a child in the party slipped and hit their head. The prices were quite high for food that wasn't very tasty. They gave a ton of very salty fries. A person at the party had a nasty nitro drink and they found their burger was too spicy. My friend and I had a horrible stomach issues after eating here. Don't plan to go back.

Redmond C.

Yelp
$90 (before tip) for 3 burgers, 1 drink, and 1 deep fried pickle starter. The service was amazing and the food was really good (7.9 out of 10), but not nearly good enough to EVER go back at those prices. P.S. - The prices listed on the menu here on Yelp are not even close to what they actually charge. E.g., - the Zeus burger is $19.50, not $14.00.

R D.

Yelp
We went for late lunch shortly past 3 pm. There were a few patrons but otherwise empty. The bartender/waiter was very friendly and sat us promptly. We ordered two of the same burgers, extra two slices of bacon and a side of onion rings. Total was $53 before tips. The burgers were their simplest one which touted a 7 oz pattie. The beef was overcooked, tough and was obviously from frozen as the edges were perfectly square, not freshly formed. It was more bread than meat pattie but it was enjoyable. The meal came with a decent amount of fries. The bacon was not grilled but deep fried to the point that it didn't taste like bacon. Onion rings were $8.50 for five rings which was complete overpriced. The waiter checked on us once at the end of our meal to ask if we were "okay". No water was filled, no offer of additional condiments at the start or middle of the meal. Overall it was an okay experience for very expensive burgers. Lastly I imagine it would be quite noisy if the entire restaurant and bar was full.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
The beef burgers were fantastic, bursting with flavor. We also tried the wings and chicken burger. The wings were excellent, but the chicken burger was a tad dry, fortunately an easy fix. However, the specialty drinks were a bit lackluster, presented more like something you'd find at a bowling alley than a restaurant. While the dill pickles looked appealing, they didn't quite deliver on flavor. On the bright side, the cheese curds were delicious!

Yelp
We chose the Tipsy Cow because it was listed as dog friendly. We are always seeking great furbaby friendly restaurants. Tipsy Cow was listed on BringFido as dog friendly but it's only on outside tables which is about 4-5 tables. We had our furbaby with us so Tipsy Cow for late lunch. Service was ok because only us and another group were seated outdoors. Food came pretty fast. My Tipsy Burger was way too dry. It may have been partially my fault as I should have ordered it medium rare. It was dry and not good. The quality of ingredients was good = delicious toasted Macrina bun, fresh bibb lettuce, and caramelized onion. PS those onions cost .50 additional because everything not standard is a cost Two burgers with fries and a shake (no booze) set us back $63. Too pricey for what we got. Customer be aware that medium well is how they cook their burgers so unless like dry chewy meat, consider order medium or medium rare.

Yelp
Best burgers in WA !! They have lot of variety.. we have tried almost all of them love this place!! The Service is also good and fries are so yummm I would definitely recommend this place for amazing burgers and beers.

Yelp
Best burger in east side. Patties are always so juicy. Grass fed beef is also a huge plus for me

Yelp
Did a take out. Good quality burgers - fast service. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Genuinely great burger. The shakes are amazing id recommend the banana foster! Got the tipsy burger with flagship and added pepper Jack.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today with some friends. It was packed so we waited 10-15 minutes to be seated. The customer service was great from the hostess to our server. I had the tipsy cow burger, lettuce wrapped, meat medium rare, and truffle fries. The burger itself was good, they really do cook it medium rare so that was fantastic. The lettuce was a bed of lettuce and not a wrap so I couldn't pick it up and eat it. The truffle fries smelled SO good! The fries were crunchy and meaty and it had a good amount of truffle oil and parm on them. We'll definitely be coming back to try more!
google avatar

Steven E.

Yelp
Great service, slightly loud, great assortment of food and plenty of fries (although a salad can be substituted- but no one did that). One had the ahi tuna burger which was in fact cooked very rare and was terrific, one had the arsonist a beef burger hot and yummy, the wine maker beef burger with Brie and caramelized onions with sprouts providing a terrific crunch, and the notorious p.I.g. a great pulled pork with coleslaw. The sweet potato, standard fry, and the truffle fries were all terrific. Again? Yes.
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
"Big Price, Small Patty" No argument that the selection is broad, the fries are very good, but the pricing is not of sync for what you actually get. The meat itself is not special in any way, essentially flavorless - but the stuff they mix on top of the patty is very good quality. So this place, for me has become a conundrum - I like the place, everyone is nice, but at this price point I expect more. Good luck, Tipsy Cow.
google avatar

Pranav K.

Yelp
Fast service and delicious burgers. You know exactly what you are getting everytime. I only wish they expanded their chicken and veg options to be more creative. Truffle fries on point.

Yelp
Solid place to get some tasty burgers and fries! I've gotten the Brewmaster burger both times that I've come here, and the burger is super juicy and flavorful. It does tend to fall apart easily though, and is a bit messy to eat. I do wish it came with a bit more lettuce, as it basically only had one leaf of lettuce at the bottom - the Brewmaster has a lot of heavier tastes like bbq sauce, fried onion ring, etc so I feel like more fresh elements like lettuce/tomato could help cut through that. I also shared the poutine with a friend, which was a miss for me. The gravy had a bit of a weird taste. Not sure if they waited to serve the poutine together with our burgers, but it was kind of lukewarm/cold by the time it came out. Service is pretty good here, the servers are quite attentive in asking if everything is going okay and if you need anything. There is a small validated parking garage next to the restaurant, but spaces are pretty limited.

Yelp
The four of us each had a different burger, and enjoyed them to the last byte, try each one you'll be glad you did ! Server was great too
