Great new little gem on the high street. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would come again.

A hidden gem on Clapham High Street. We started the night with great cocktails. Everything we ordered was delicious, reasonably priced, and speedy out of the kitchen. The service was friendly without being intrusive. A few menu items were unavailable—I suspect that might be because it was a quiet evening, and that more people should be visiting this lovely restaurant!

A new favourite restaurant in Clapham. Food is fantastic, some great cocktails and excellent service. Looking forward to going again

Birthday Dinner! I’ve been looking forward to the opening of Tirak for some time. What a wonderful, unique, inspired, and delicious meal. Highly recommend!

I was SO excited to try this place, don’t get me wrong the food was great but sadly the service really let the whole place down. I booked a table, with one of the waiters saying “you can just sit there” (a two seater table) no name asked for and when I said actually I booked a table for four she gave a slightly snotty “ok just sit there” response. Honestly this was just the beginning with that particular waitress. Our food arrived staggered, with one dish being delivered that we hadn’t ordered and two that we did order never arrived, we had to tell two different waiters about the food that still hadn’t arrived . We had to consistently hassle the waiters for service (we are very patient people I can assure you!) We waited at least ten minutes for rice to arrive for a curry, when it did arrive the snooty waiter just plonked it on a dirty plate instead of making space on the table and swapping the dirty plate for the rice! By the time we got things the food was cold. There was next to none table service. We had to constantly ask for ice for wine (the ice was just served in a glass (one piece even had what looked like chilli on it??), dirty dishes never got cleared (seriously we cleared them ourselves on a nearby table). Generally speaking, the food was well made and very tasty but it was really disappointing that the food was cold and the waiters seemed to be really inattentive, and again - the one waiter was so rude I actually couldn’t believe how disrespectful she was. A bit of a let down as really had high hopes for it but maybe we were there on a bad day.

Lovely food and friendly service

A great addition to the high street! Clapham High Street now has so many chicken shops (I think there are eight between Clapham Common & Clapham North stations) and chains, so it is great to see a new independent place opening. Tirak serves a good menu of Thai and other Asian dishes, with curries, momos and more. It was great to see it busy on a Wednesday night - not a table to spare at 8pm. It's great to see independent places opening and doing well.

I lived in Asia for 18 months and it was great to find this restaurant with some of the delicious Asian food I miss, and struggle to find outside the West End. Khao Soi Gai is one of my favourites and they do this great. Service was good and food delicious.
