The One-Two Punch Guide: Summer Edition - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Once the sun starts to go down and it’s pleasant enough outside again, head around the block to Tired Hands Biergarten. They have most of their beers on tap, as well as a bunch in cans to take home if your arms are too tired from throwing axes to lift anything repeatedly from a table to your mouth." - sydney mcelwee

Tired Hands Biergarten - Review - Fishtown - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"A bunch of restaurants and bars in the city carry Tired Hands beer, but they usually only have one or two types, and if you want the full list, you have to travel 30 minutes deep into the suburbs. Fortunately, they opened a seasonal space in Fishtown, where they’re selling their whole repertoire in what used to be an abandoned lot. Now, it’s filled with picnic tables and tree stumps that double as stools, and it’s where you want to be until the temperature drops below 50." - Sydney McElwee

I love this place and it's really becoming a terrific hangout in Mt. Airy. Great place to hang out with neighbors and have a beer. It's been cool to see how the beer garden evolved since starting a couple of years ago and Tired Hands beer is always good. I like that there's a cool semi-indoor section as well as a big outdoor section. They've been adding more music acts, DJ sets, and other fun events too. They don't have food but are right next door to Melelani Cafe, which will even bring the food to you!

This is the second year that the beer garden is open. It’s a hidden gem off of Germantown Avenue across from the old subway car station. You can bring your own food. They have some of the most exciting beers that you can buy in Philadelphia. They usually open on the weekends and, have a great selection. Ask for the beer on tap it’s usually the most fresh and flavorful.

It's a fun place. Lots of kids running around. An open fire pit when it gets chilly. You better like IPA Because that's all tired hands has (my kingdom for a stinking Belgian). It's a hip scene!

Such a unique and understated spot. This little gem feels like you're in a friend's backyard, and that friend has curated not only delicious brews but also delightful local artists to play intimate live shows. Great place to chat, make a new friend, pet a dog, play foosball, and discover talented artists.

I hesitate to publicly review how fabulous this weird, delish spot is cuz part of its goodness is how local & chill it is. BUT. I'd be remiss if I didn't say what good magic this place is. The beer is wild and incredible, the staff are the freaking best, and the folks who come make it feel like a real, friendly neighborhood spot.
