A very lively place with great food! Trying to get a train? Going for a quick snack? Or just having a full meal with the family? I know the perfect place! You get great food for its low price compared to the rest of beacon! It you’re looking for tacos, don’t forget about their taco Tuesday deal! $3 per taco 😋

I’ve wanted to go here for a while so my expectations may have been high. There were a lot of vegetarian options, which is what I was there for. Visually, the restaurant is engaging. The decor is vibrant and has you looking everywhere. What we ordered: plant meat taco; portobello taco; tofu taco; grilled steak taco; basic burrito + steak; cheese empanada; kale & sweet potato empanada. Drinks are available in bottles/cans. They have an excellent selection of beers, ciders and premixed cocktails. The steak burritos were a hit, along with the grilled steak tacos and suffered no complaints - other than the burrito needing to be bigger. The plant meat taco was too salty. The portobello taco was good, needed a contrasting flavor though. The tofu taco was excellent. My favorite, by far. Perfect mix of flavor and seasoning. Unfortunately, both empanadas were a “no” for me. They both tasted like old fry oil and were soggy, not crispy. The kale & sweet potato were just that, no other seasoning. Notwithstanding, I would definitely return for the items I liked and to try a few more.

Update: Ordered the same stuff got a good avocado but they forgot to substitute the rice with lettuce. But everything was good. Updated review: I ordered extra avocado, and they gave me a brown avocado. I only attached one photo, but the avocado was brown all the way throught so it wasn't just a bit of it reacting with air it was actually overripe and going bad. What the duck. Paid extra for that, and they literally scammed me out of the money. Horrible. I used to buy takeout here a lot, well, not anymore. Ruined my mood. I really like the bowl with brisket a lot it's the best and a huge mix of flavors. I'm glad the cashier recommended me that bowl. The cashier was super nice, friendly, and patient, and she made sure to get my order correct and get the non spicy salsa. There's a lot of good in the bowl. The brisket tastes the best to any other supplement of meat, in my opinion. The beans are delicious. Everything else is very good mixed together the rice, guacamole, salsa, corn, Pico, cheese, and brisket. I also later ordered another bowl with Kale and Sweet potato and added a bunch of other things on top like avocados and lettuce and stake and it was a huge delicious bowl that I couldn't finish in one go but I was so glad to have left overs. 😋 I have also tried their nachos in the restaurant itself, and they were outstanding. Tacos were pretty good, too. But my favorite will always be the bowl. 🫶 The only concern would be the shrimp because it didn't taste well other than that everything is very good. Here's the picture of the bowl that I ordered. My little puppy Michael also likes the Brisket he is demanding some right now. 😄

Google
Ordered food for the family, and it was very disappointing. The rice and beans were bland and lacked any flavor. The tacos also lacked seasoning. No homemade sauces were provided, and the salad was unappealing with stale tomatoes, limp lettuce, and brown, spoiled avocado that smelled so bad no one could eat it. not worth it.

Google
Food was authentic and delicious! My girls are big empanada fans, they had chicken and pork ones and gave it a 10/10. Flavorful, fried just right. I had a chicken burrito and it was delicious. Lots of outdoor seating as well as indoors. Overall great experience. Recommend.

Colleen Zayas

Google
We had the crunch wrap steak & shrimp, chopped cheese, and gauc bites. It was all good and priced reasonably. Nice ambiance and ample seating. It wasn't so busy at 445pm on Friday (but also raining). The town strip is adorable and worth a walk after.

Google
Delicious! Made a quick pit stop here on a trip out to Connecticut and so glad we did. The crunchwrap was a generous entree size (so filling!) and the street corn side was awesome. Fantastic vegan/vegetarian options. Staff was great and service was super fast. Would be a staple if I were a local!

Had an awesome experience at Tito’s recently! Kye took care of us and was super friendly, easy to talk to, and really made sure we had everything my friends and I needed. The food and drinks were great. I Can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
Love the wall art and crafts though out the building, plus they have place to bus your tray and a sauce station with various hot sauces. It's great they have everything I need to customize my food. Service was friendly and on point. Roast chicken empanada was very good, plenty of well seasoned chicken and not overly salty with mild heat. Steak taco was good, though kind wish the steak was middle since medium well is bit chewy, onions and green bell peppers were stewed perfectly. Mexican street corn was bit salty, but well seasoned and covered in cheese, I will add other places don't give you a whole cob of corn like they do here and I respect that. Prices here are also very cheap and affordable considering how trendy beacon is, it's a relief a place is fair to its customers.

Yelp
Don't waste your time. We went here for a quick bite before making an hour drive home. We really wanted dinner but this was going to suffice for a little bit. We waited 15 mins for 2 tacos and 2 empanadas which came out cold. The sauce that came out was frozen. The place is cute, but the food/service could be better.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
I call it as I see it! I report the truth! Improve your service and your food and maybe, people who go there who have an idea about what Mexican food is.
google avatar

Saad H.

Yelp
The tacos with brisket are the best thing to order if you are staying to eat. If you are getting food to go they can get soggy so I would recommend the crunch wrap instead for preventing that! The service is always helpful and will even bring your food to you outside via the window and are great with recommending items. The overall setting gives like a small taco hole in the wall spot unless it's nice out and you sit at one of the picnic tables then there's a nice big open yard area that's not too crowded! The indoor area is painted with beautiful murals and different merchandise for sale. If you are in the mood for the best nachos in Beacon go here!

Yelp
Did not get a good vibe in this place! The cashier/server was very curt and looked like she didn't want to be there. The cook was glaring at me like I did something wrong when I moved to another table because the cashier barked "that table is being cleaned" upon trying to sit there. That's startling to hear when you first walk in, and I silently moved to another table. I did not know why the cook kept staring at me, like I was the one who did something wrong. And my basic veggie bowl was extremely sub-par. Literally I couldn't chew my food because all the rice was hard!! And no other element tasted good, like beans, guacamole, etc. Even the corn was not cooked well and had no flavor. With the added vegan protein, my $19 bowl was so not worth it. I got out of there very fast! Looking at how they respond to other customer reviews, these people are *unprofessional* and frankly *scary*!!

Yelp
Small Mexican food restaurant with a huge selection of vegan options. I don't eat any dairy and there were tons of options for me to choose between on their vegan menu. It wasn't just 1 or two options. It was more like 10-15 options. However if you aren't vegan there are many non-vegan options for you as well. I got a quesadilla with vegan cheese and chicken and chips with salsa and guac. All of which were very tasty and very filling. The inside of the restaurant is filled with bright colors and interesting art. The food is made very quick. It's not a conventional restaurant with waitresses or waiters mind you. You order at the front counter and if you are eating in they will bring it to your table.

Yelp
"Where's the beef!" Seriously that should be the slogan for this place because this is absolutely the WORST taco place I've been to. Where is the freaking meat!! I stopped in with some friends after a long day of hiking, we were all hurting all over and very hungry so we popped into here for a taco fix. The place is midsized with no table service (i.e. waiter) but you order and they kindly bring your meal to your table. If I had never had a taco in my life I likely would have enjoyed this place but who hasn't had a taco, a real life taco!?! I ordered 5 chicken tacos and a side order of fries because after my hike I came hangry! When my order of tacos was set in front of me I literally said out loud, "This is a joke right? Who put the staff up to pranking me? Where's the meat for my tacos!!" Lo and behold there was meat in my tacos but it was such a small amount that the veggies/onions outweighed the meat. The taco spot near my home serves tacos that has the meat falling out because they don't skimp and they use the same sized tortilla shells this place uses. I even pay less for those tacos local to my home. I ate 5 tacos at $4 a piece and I was basically still starving! So $30 later, including beverage which was the best part of my meal, for these dismal tacos that left me hungry. Thankfully I ordered a side order of fries, how can you mess that up right? Wrong! Fries they served were soggy and decent at best but maybe it was decent because I was hungry. If tacos were prices at like $2 MAX for the amount of meat they put in them then I'd bump my rating to a 3 star at best. When I tell you they put practically ZERO meat in your taco I'm not exaggerating just search reviews where others mention this. I thought they might have been exaggerating but nope they were not. I'll NEVER step foot in the place ever again! All that money wasted and I left starving only to make something to eat at home! If anyone thinks these tacos are awesome, please come here first before you walk in drunk from the local brewery down the road.

Yelp
Delicious fresh tacos, cool atmosphere and wonderful quick service. We had a great experience in general. Don't miss the chance if you ever around!

Nancy M.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Sell it or get a new chef. This place used to be really good What happened?
google avatar

Lise H.

Yelp
My friends and I dropped by right before a hike nearby. The inside decor was very cute to look at as we waited for our tacos. Inside, they have a nice small table for you to self serve your hot sauce for dine in or for takeout. Taste wise, they aren't the best tasting tacos - but a great snack pre or post hike!

Yelp
Reviewing again , love this place always a great vibe, + food is yummmmy I always get the tostadas with tofu absolutely delicious and worth it! If you're in beacon definitely visit

Melissa G.

Yelp
I am so appreciative of this place. I have extensive food allergies and they prepared me a custom bowl without making a mistake which is rare in my experience of takeout. The pulled pork was very tasty and the customer service was kind and nonjudgmental.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
Food had no flavor and very gross the elote taste like the cheese was expired and smelled like feet. Don't waste your time or money Tacos are filled with onions and no meat
google avatar

Eden H.

Yelp
Super yummy food. They have taco Tuesday specials and have vegan/dairy free options. When it's nice weather they have picnic tables to sit at outside.

Michael F.

Yelp
Taste less chicken and beans burrito. I'd go back to trying something else next time. Prompt convenient service for takeout. Nice physical location.

Yelp
I used to love this place. I've been going since it opened. Lately though, my food has been incredibly sub par. My quesadilla in front of me is filled with small, dry, burnt pieces of chicken. I have to pull it apart and remove them in order to eat any of it. The last 2 times I ordered tacos they were so dry I swore to never get them again. I'd love to know what's changed in the last few months are so to make me so disappointed with this place.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken tortilla soup which we have had in the past and it used to be worth the spend. What we received today was a watery broth with some tortillas and avocado. The chicken was in little tiny shreds like it was left in the bottom of the pot. Not worthy of being called "chicken" tortilla soup and not with the $7. We will not be going back.

Yelp
Was in Beacon for a few days and craving good Mexican food so stopped by at Tito Santana Taqueria thanks to the good views. It's a decent place for tacos. Service was a tad slow but the food was decent. We got the chops and guacamole (guacamole was great), in addition to shrimp and catfish tacos. The catfish tacos were great though the shrimp ones were underwhelming. Overall, decent food and reasonable prices.
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
You won't find a sombrero or tequila in sight here. But what you'll find is a brief menu with a nice bag of Tex-Mex Tacos, Burritos, Empanadas choices and more. Tito has a dramatic, vibrant and larger-than-life almost-Catrina mural in this Tex-Mex joint dreamed up by Kamel Jamal. About 4 tables around Tito's perimeter, improvised condiment counter in the center and refreshments on the right. Service was super nice and so incredibly attentive. Flavors in our meals and some of the ingredients used were a bit unexpected. But between Vegan items for my daughter, meat for hubs and Pescatarian items for me, this was an interesting spot to cater to all of our needs.
google avatar

Krystal B.

Yelp
This place was okay. I think the food was lacking flavor which is not something that you would typically say about a Taqueria. The kale and sweet potato empanada was incredibly bland. I don't even thing they bothered seasoning it at all. Won't return.
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
We were craving tacos and stopped into Tito Santana Taqueria for an affordable lunch. The restaurant was diligently following COVID-19 regulations inside the shop to ensure social distancing and sanitization and also offered a good deal of outdoor seating. I decided to order 3 tacos: the Barbecue Chicken, the Shrimp, and the Portabella. The tender pulled chicken version had been topped with a sweet barbecue sauce, onions, and cilantro. The crisp, grilled shrimp taco included shredded cabbage, pickled onion, radish slices, creamy salsa verde, and zesty pico de gallo. The shrimp were so well-seasoned, making this the most enjoyable taco of the bunch. Lastly, the mushroom taco was topped with the same ingredients as the shrimp put possessed an obvious, more earthy flavor. While the fillings of each taco were delicious, the tortillas really stood out with their smooth texture and robust corn taste. We really enjoyed our visit to Tito Santana Taqueria and loved the variety and quality of their tacos.

Yelp
Great looking casual restaurant with vibrant, custom murals. That's kind of where the hype ends. EXTREMELY expensive. The braised short rib is delicious as is the shredded Charles chicken that filled my soft corn tacos. $4 a piece was really underwhelming. The lowest price fillers such as cabbage and pickled radish or barely there. And short it felt a bit stingy for the price. My order: three orders of rice and black beans, three Mexican corn. Mexican corn was a dud with my family. Successful was the braised short rib filling in the tacos. The taco was overall not successful with a chintzy sprinkle of cabbage and a few sliced pickled radishes. Same thing for the shredded chicken tacos except I had asked for avocado which was horrifyingly well-past ripeness and black. The shrimp in the shrimp tacos was small but tasty. Cheese quesadilla was your best value and chicken and cheese quesadilla was completely ruined by the black mushy avocado that I added at a cost. Three servings of Mexican corn which was drowning in Crema and wound up in the circular file. Three delicious specialty sodas. The total before my 20% tip was over $100. For that, I could've enjoyed a sit down meal elsewhere..

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place in Beacon for a while! Got the burrito bowl with pulled pork for $12-13, which is an okay price. The portion size is good, but I felt it was lacking in flavor. In addition, there were some bits of the rice that were hard (or undercooked?) and that was a bit disappointing. I like that they have plenty of outdoor seating. They probably could have more staff on hand since it was pretty busy but only one person as the cashier and delivering all the food out so that led to slow service for ordering. After ordering, the food came out fairly quick.
google avatar

Yelp
On our way to Mt Beacon, we stopped at Tito Santana Taqueria to energize ourselves. It is located along Main St, a short walk from the train station. The tacos over here are $4 for the most part (except on Taco Tuesdays). We liked our tacos, ordering 6 in total, to be split among the three of us. Two would be filling unless you are really hungry. I had the steak taco and the tilapia, and liked the latter more. It isn't a cheap spot but it should help sate your hunger, especially if it is your first stop on a hike.
google avatar

Mark N.

Yelp
Marginal at best and WAY overpriced for essentially taco-truck quality food. We tipped but were expected to come pickup our food and bus our own tables.. might as well be a TacoBell.
google avatar

Joyce C.

Yelp
It's been 8 years since I've eaten there? Visited the area & was hoping this place was still there- wanted something quick & filling. For about $13, I got a catfish taco, pulled pork taco & a Mexican Street corn. All really good, generously filled & very flavorful. Fresh ingredients, I don't mind the coleslaw topping, had some mustard seeds in it too. Catfish was a bit oily, might have been buttermilk battered? Pulled pork had a nice green salsa on it & sliced radishes. The street corn was smaller than expected (it is December...), but the cheese, mayo & slightly sweet chili powder on top was delicious. The shells are griddled! Yay, and a bit bigger that street-style shells. 2 Tacos were pretty hefty. The young guy behind the counter was very helpful & nice. Food came out super fast. I like the layout & murals of the place, a few communal tables. it seemed bigger than I remembered. Interested in the kale/sweet potato burrito next time+pork.

Yelp
I brought my vegan friend to this taco spot in September. I was having a terrible day: My cat passed away that morning, and then I got 2 tickets! The service was phenomenal; The woman who took our orders was empathetic and kind. The food was delicious--as always; And the ambiance is colorful, fun, and creative! There is also a beautiful outdoor seating area. Santana Taqueria is always my go-to taqueria in Beacon!
google avatar

Frank W.

Yelp
Our first choice for dinner was their affiliated restaurant Ziatun, but it required a 20 minute wait for a table so we made the short walk to this informal Mexican restaurant. Orders are taken at the counter and delivered to your table. My wife ordered the burrito bowl while I chose the kale and sweet potato bowl with both of us adding chicken for $2 each. The food was served not in a bowl but in aluminum containers with plastic cutlery. The amount of chicken was deemed to be quite modest though given the add on price probably what we should have expected. The overall taste of our food was decent, but there is little incentive to return since the general area is replete with Mexican restaurants.
google avatar

Yelp
i had just one grilled chicken taco with onions, cilantro, and this creamy green sauce. very tasty! BUT a bit too much onion. there should have been half the amount. you don't need much raw onion for flavor. its a fast paced environment when you're ordering and they talk fast -_-. had to ask to repeat stuff a bit. but the taco was good. i'd like to try more stuff.

Rory M.

Yelp
I would be so bold to say best tacos in New York! Awesome atmosphere too! Really cool owner!

Yelp
Tito Santana is roughly in the middle on my list of favorite Titos. Higher than Puente and Jackson, but lower than Ortiz and vodka. On the advice of the friendly lady behind the counter, I rolled with the Daddy Mac 'Dilla. Brisket and lots of other things pressed into a cheesy tortilla. Quite tasty, and a very solid portion for $10 even. I think it was improved by a generous dousing of the Chili Garlic Cholula (the best Cholula), so it's a good thing that Tito has got all the Cholula you'd ever want. They do brisk business at weekend lunchtime, so you may have to share your table with an unlucky family of five. If there's a bee buzzing around and bothering them, you could kill it and be a hero like me. Or you could scream louder than the little girl who pointed it out, like that other guy who was there at exactly the same time. Wasn't me. I don't care what you heard.

Yelp
Inadvertently ended up visiting Tito Santana Taqueria on a cool Friday afternoon while casually walking through town. Their window had "gluten-free" on it and I figured I'd check out what they had. My partner and I immediately loved the vibe as soon as we walked in. With awesome music and plenty of space between tables, I knew we made the right choice for lunch. The man at the register was incredibky helpful with figuring out what food I could eat and even helped make some cider suggestions. My partner ordered a chicken burrito and I opted for mushroom tacos, both were delicious. They also had some vegan treats for sale, which I bought for a friend. This is definitely a place worth visiting while in the area, it hits the mark.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Really delicious, over and above other taqueria. The chicken burrito had the most tender and delicately flavorful chicken I have ever had in a burrito. And the cubano quesadilla is heaven. I highly recommend stopping here while in Beacon.
google avatar

Margie A.

Yelp
The food was quite good and it was fun to sit at the picnic table outdoors and watch the Main Street of this little hamlet. I wouldn't go in the cold weather as the only seating is outdoors. Ordering is done inside the restaurant and wait staff brings the prepared food out. The portions are ample. Tables are not cleaned between customers which is not that much of an issue but would prefer they were. Would go back again as long as the weather is decent. The restaurant doesn't have its own parking and there isn't much nearby. Definitely not handicapped friendly.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Honestly? We stopped in here on a whim, around 3pm... way after "lunch", and way before "dinner"... I had 1 Chipotle Taco & 1 Steak Taco. Steak taco was BOMB - wish I ordered 2 of those. Chipotle taco was solid, but after eating the steak one first, was a bit disappointed. Solid chicken taco though. SUPER fresh tortillas, and didn't need anything but a light squeeze of lime with either taco - no need to add other sauces!! Hubby had a Burrito with Chicken & Guacamole... he gave it a solid 3.5. Not the best he's had, but solid nonetheless.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
Best place in Beacon for tacos! Super cute and cozy vibes inside. Can't go wrong with any of the empanadas and be sure to try the queso bites. Kye was super knowledgeable in helping us decide what to try. Will always come back and bring friends!
google avatar

Madhur N.

Yelp
Loved the food and amazing ambiance. The guys behind the counter will tell you all about off the menu items.

James H.

Yelp
After having a very nice meal at Ziatun a few weeks ago we decided to try out the tacos at Tito's. And boy was it a different experience. Ordered the chicken chipotle, the bbq chick and the pulled pork taco. 1) the corn taco shells were cold. I don't mean not heated up. I mean cold. 2) the meat was so under seasoned and tasteless 3) and when I picked up the pork taco it fell apart because it was sitting in a pool of cold liquid (see picture). If you head to beacon definitely hit Ziatin. But titos taco.... Not so much. Additionally the service was equally cold and unwelcoming. Btw, my son did enjoy the chopped cheese.
google avatar

Michelle And JP P.

Yelp
Nice design, a lot of food options! Many drink options too, the prices aren't that bad either. The tacos definitely hit the spot!
google avatar

Joni S.

Yelp
I get food from Tito's at least a couple times a month. Today I ordered a burrito bowl. I picked it up 15 minutes later (when they said it would be ready) and it was already cold. Really disappointing. Are the chefs even paying attention to what they're serving? Makes me less likely to order again in the future.
google avatar

Julie J.

Yelp
Came to up beacon for a camping trip. We drove by and saw this artistic taco location. We walked in and it has a beautiful artistic wall and the shop is a very relaxed location. Amon helped our group with our orders. He was incredibly helpful and so friendly. The Tacos were so delicious and fresh. The Quesidilla was cheesy and hot. The Burrtios seem to be the most popular item. My friend couldnt stop speaking about it . The Cookies are homemade fresh and good and soft. Overall we had an amazing experience. Amon energy was honestly the greatest part but the food sealed the deal. Check it out!
google avatar

Samirah A.

Yelp
Amazing tacos here!!! I highly recommend recommend for the good eats, friendly staff, and aesthetic environment! I'd love to go back and try other foods here since I'm in love with the tacos.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Hey, so I'm being generous giving two stars, only cause the front counter woman was nice. However when I first started coming here years ago the food was amazing, like real authentic Mexican food. When we went there yesterday I have to say the food was very bland. My cheese quesadilla was okay cause of the dipping sauce, the tostada my boyfriend got was good he said. Our empanadas were terrible I'm sorry to say. I got beef and he got roasted chicken, the beef was just ground meat no seasonings, just meat and the chicken was very dry. Again I'm sorry to leave this review but that is not authentic Mexican it's more American Mexican, I don't know what happened but this place used to be really great.
google avatar

Ajith J.

Yelp
The part that sticks with you about this place is the vibe. The interior decor really pops out and the way they have set the place up is really commendable. They also have a very interesting array for alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The tacos tasted really good but the only thing is they were a little too juicy to the point where the taco just disintegrates and falls apart after your first bite. Definitely enjoyed the place.
google avatar

Can I.

Yelp
Nice taco place with a wide selection. Inside or outside seating available. It took a bit to get the tacos but they tasted good. Limited drinks. Overall, nice place.
google avatar

R B.

Yelp
Small Cold soggy gritty tortilla with lots of onions an very little meat.....,, Hope I don't get sick!!! And I was just thinking how do you mess up a taco?
google avatar

Smoth C.

Yelp
See the photos attached my review so you know exactly the kind of person you're supporting when you go to this business. Completely shocked at the response when I had emailed them about a bad experience I had. I wasn't asking for anything, and would have honestly gone there again because I had so many other good experiences there. I would have edited my Google review as well. But it seems that being butt hurt over honest criticism is a part time job for Mr Jamal. And that link in the last photo is to a YouTube video of Anthony Bourdain insulting Yelp reviewers. Well, thing is, Anthony Bourdain wouldn't have served burnt chips and brown guacamole.
google avatar

Reshard R.

Yelp
They struggled a bit yesterday. Not just with service but also with food quality. It was challenging for everyone to get the right order and they seemed slammed. I will give them a pass for how they showed up because maybe they didn't expect everyone in the world to want tacos too. I sure didn't. What I can't get past is the flavor of the salsa being so sweet, if this is their signature its fine but it was slightly weird to me personally. The tacos had fresh crunchy veggies but lacked for actual grilled fish so if they could figure out a way to fix that it would be a great taco for all of the flavor.

Brett T.

Yelp
Horrible. Just walk on by. Bland salty cold tacos. Yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
