Hubby & my's 1st time here & we WERE NIT disappointed. Fried catfish was great but the grilled catfish could use a bit more seasoning as it tasted a lil seafood ish. Boudin balls had great flavor. We will be back

Google
Flavorful crawfish, potatoes and corn... very delicious but the heads were dry. No juice to suck. Which is the entire crawfish experience💜💚💛 I did 5lbs/medium.

I have been here several times after doing laundry next door at JJ Wash and Dry. The food is always freshly made to order, but always out quickly. The customer service is always great. Very courteous!! Quickly becoming a favorite.

If you're a fan of bold flavors and crave something truly satisfying, this fast-food gem is a must-visit! I dropped by recently and only had room to try two dishes — but wow, they made quite an impression. First up: the crawfish. Big, juicy, and bursting with flavor, each bite was a perfect balance of sweetness and that ocean-fresh aroma that real seafood lovers dream about. The meat was firm, not mushy, with a natural richness that didn’t need much dressing up. It's one of those dishes that instantly makes you say, “I need to come back for more.” Next came the Vietnamese-style fish sauce chicken wings — and let me tell you, they’re next level. No batter here. Just perfectly fried chicken, golden and crisp, then drizzled with a savory fish sauce glaze while still sizzling hot. The result? A naturally crispy skin that clings to all that umami goodness, with hints of garlic and a whisper of sweetness. It’s a bold, authentic taste that brings the essence of Vietnam to your fingertips. Even though I only tried two items, I left full and completely satisfied. But trust me — I’m already planning a return visit to explore more of the menu. If these two dishes are anything to go by, this spot might just become your new guilty pleasure.

Google
10 out of 10. I highly recommend! The service was great the food was amazing. The food was fresh and cooked to order. I got the grilled catfish with grilled shrimp and rice and Boudian balls.

Hem BK

Google
Grilled catfish, boiled shrimp, gumbo are good. We didn’t like fried chicken. Foods are great but the location of the restaurant isn’t good.

Google
I had the fried fish and shrimp. Food was hot and tasty. I would come back and eat again. Good customer service.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place because of the crawfish and they did not disappoint. Nice, spicy flavor and reasonably priced. They're still small this early in the season, but I'll definitely be back once the crawfish start getting bigger. My bf has tried the wings and the grilled fish and he liked both. This place is off the beaten path and pretty quiet, but if you're just worried about food and some good crawfish, it's worth a try.

Yelp
Just found out abt this spot since it's near my work, stopped by for lunch and have absolutely no complaints. I got the salt and pepper shrimp Definitely coming back to try the other menu items because they got a whole lot at great prices! Go support this place fr
google avatar

Derrick S.

Yelp
When in season, this place has some of the BEST crawfish in the metroplex at an affordable price. I usually get the extra spicy garlic. This spice is quite flavorful. The service is usually fast and friendly. The ambiance is plain. There is not much to view. Most people that don't live nearby order and take-out. If you like crawfish you must try this place when they are in season. Enjoy.

Yelp
Our food was fresh and delicious! I wish we had time to try more! It's not a fancy place. No table service, but good atmosphere; clean and neat. The young lady at the counter was nice qnd helpful. And once qgain, the food was really good!
google avatar

Yelp
We picked up an order to take home, I got the blackened fish and shrimp plate and it was ok but the shrimp were a bit overcooked and fish was on the saltier side and greasy. Part of this may have been because we took our order to go but it wasn't much to write home about. The fries were fine and the hush puppies and boudin balls were really good and seemed to still taste really good after the drive home. I'd definitely try it again but next time eat in instead of take out.

Yelp
What can I say, everything is good The boiled seafood is the best xtra xtra spicy. I love the salt and pepper wings too, very cravable!
google avatar

Nhi C.

Yelp
Some of the best crawfish in the metroplex. A plus is how clean the place is. Service is quick and the menu has plenty of other options for non crawfish eaters.

veronica k.

Yelp
Their food is really good. I wish it was closer to me. I would be there every day. It was very yummy.

Aleahya N.

Yelp
The salt & pepper wings here are bomb! Been searching for a place that does the wings like this. Definitely coming back to try other items!
google avatar

Terrance G.

Yelp
A couple co workers and i decided to stop in here for lunch and all of us were glad we did. The food was delicious and they had plenty of options of food to choose from. Sucked it's not crawfish season yet but come October I'll definitely be back here
google avatar

Yelp
Last three visits crawfish gummy as hell do yourself a favor and test a lb before you make it home with 5lbs of mash. being from Louisiana this was the closest I found to home. I don't know if they reboiling or freezing them.

Ro R.

Yelp
The rice was hard and overcooked like had been in the rice cooker all day the crawfish texture was a little off not totally sure those are live crawfish. They are serving. My main complaint is the rice though it's ridiculous. nearly most of my portion was inedible both times I went to the store

Yelp
One of my recent discovery, by word of mouth is this spot. During crawfish season I do like this spot the best for price and taste and consistency. Their crawfish is $6.99/lb, compared to the average market price of $13-15/lb, is a plus in my book of foodie list. Their snow crab legs are $22/lb is also a steal for someone like me who can eat more than her weights. The area this place is located in is sketchy. I take my food to-go a lot so I can eat it in a more comfortable environment. But given the price they offer on their menu it's good they cut down on their overhead rent.

Brent T.

Yelp
Was looking for a spot to get good wings quickly at lunchtime. The wings were on point and service was good.

Girasol D.

Yelp
My family and I tried this place for the first time and it was amazing! We tried pretty much everything and everything was 10/10. The only lady working was amazing as well. She was juggling the phone and the line and takeout like a pro. She made us feel taken care of and provided great service. The place was mostly empty when we went which is a good thing because we don't like crowded places. In a nutshell if you're looking for great fried seafood you need to try this place.

Yelp
Current contact number to place order is 972.863.9820. Great food at reasonable price.

Yelp
Originally it was not the place I was looking for but I was shocked on how good they ended up being! If you are in the area it is not a bad stop.
google avatar

LaTonya B.

Yelp
Salt and pepper wings with rice is my go to.. Whenever crawfish season is underway it's a must to stop by and grab a few pounds. The sausage is delicious!!

Ladeja L.

Yelp
The food is always perfect and delicious. The cashier was extremely nice and patient.

Yelp
My husband and I had an early dinner at Asian Mint while in the area, he had to stop by Cajun Seafood & Wings for a "snack" for later. He has heard several raving reviews on how good all the selections are. Customer service was really good, and the atmosphere was perfect for customers waiting for to go orders. Helpful tip, if you're planning on dining in at ordering crab legs bring your own crab crackers as there are none available at the restaurant. He rots devoured his shrimp within the hour of being home, needless to say I'm certain he will return again.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
This place is fast food/ diner ambiance, which is fine, and that's when either the price or the taste should be really good. I got the gumbo, boudin balls, grilled fish, with fried rice. My son got a burger. I know, but he's only 13. It was ok overall. The grilled fish was decent tasting but greasy. So a 3. The boudin balls were good, probably the best thing I got. The fried rice was also good. Those were a 4. Didn't dislike the gumbo but just ok. So that's a 3. The price was moderate, so about right for the quality but not like a great deal or anything.

Yelp
Pretty good!!!!! In Dallas for the weekend so we came here for breakfast lol. I ordered fried shrimp/catfish filet combo and got the fried rice. I also added the salt & pepper wings with fries. It took about 10mins to prepare. The place doesn't look 5star, not even 3star, but the service was very pleasant and you can even order by drive thru. They have tables & TVs to dine in as well. When we got our food I tasted a wing in the car & it was fresh/hot. Their salt & pepper comes with jalapenos & onions it was sooooooo tasty!!!! Great flavor there!!! The fish was good. Shrimp was just ok. Fried rice was the bomb.com & I mixed the salt & pepper seasoning in it. OMG IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD!!!! I loved it.

Yelp
We stopped by this spot on the way home from a haunted house in Garland and WHOAAAAA! Fresh fried Alaskan white fish and perfectly fried butterfly shrimp. They make the food to order and you can tell the oil they used is not old or burnt (and we came in right before they closed). The fries were seasoned very well and the rice wasn't bad but of course the fish was the STAR of the show! We didn't even make it home before devouring it all.

Yelp
So I found this little gem while on a trip to Dallas. Wanted to get a fix of southern flavor and this place got the spot. Petty decent location. About 5 minutes from the freeway and located close to the area of motels I was staying at. It's small and isn't inside a strip mall so make sure you keep your eyes open or you may pass it. I took a look at the menu and it seems pretty extensive. But it all boils down to fish and sides. Catfish to be exact. I ended up going with the 1 fillet and 6 shrimp. The combo comes with a salad, hush puppies and either French fries or fried rice. Yes, you read that right, fried rice. Definitely some Asian inspiration here with their take on "salt and pepper" wings and shrimp. As far as the food goes... The catfish fillet was tender and juicy. The cornmeal seasoning was perfect. Outside was golden brown and crisp and tasted like heaven. Total 5/5. The shrimp seemed a little overbreaded. Too much breading for small shrimp. The batter and breading were good though. Nice flavor. Shrimp seemed maybe frozen and then thawed then cooked again cause they were kind of soggy when you got to the actual shrimp. 3/5 Side salad... well after being in a Togo container for 20 minutes it was way to warm to eat. Maybe put it in a separate container. 2/5 Hush puppies were decent. Nothing exciting. 3/5 Friend rice... I'd probably get the frenchfries next time. Very salty, tasted like pure soy sauce and rice was undercooked. Overall it was pretty good and all that for under 10 bucks I can't complain. The young gentleman who helped was a cool dude. Very informative and answered all my questions. Clean inside and plenty of parking. Definitely would come back.

Lauren G.

Yelp
The customer service is good. -The wings were fried too hard and too salty -The fries are ok -The fried rice was just ok -The shrimp and the catfish was overcooked and unseasoned I tried this place twice and was disappointed! I also felt nauseated after.
google avatar

Aimes O.

Yelp
Y'all!! Have you ever been SOOOOO happy after finding a new spot to eat?! This is the spot for me! Since Lent started this past month, I had been looking for new fish spots to go to on Fridays. I randomly Google Mapped and found this place. I won't lie, I was a bit skeptical at first because of the location. However, I put my big girl panties on and pulled up to this place! I just did the drive-thru... and the experience was great. OMP (On My Plate) I've been here a few times, so here's a list of what's been had: Catfish-- YAAAAAAS!! Seasoned to perfection and ALWAYS made to order, so you know it's fresh! I know this because I've had to pull up both times to wait! lol Fried Shrimp-- these were good. They were flat in shape... I thought that was different because I'm use to the full shrimp. Either way, it was seasoned just as good. Cajun Fries-- Get them!! You won't regret! Corn Nuggets-- Get them!! You won't regret! Coming back, Aimes?! Don't mind if I do!

Yelp
I would agree this place is good. Very friendly people. Food was HOT and fast. Great crisp on shtimp and catfish. Love it with fried rice. Caant go wrong hwre
google avatar

Sylver G.

Yelp
They need to close a struggle: bad crab or bad attitude. Here you get both. I got this location confused with the other on my visit but still I'd pass. I was on my lunch break and they had specials. The welcoming was a stare down still I ordered. I got the #65 and waited for a bit before being served. It was 1 lb of snow crab in spicy garlic sauce. I stated I was new but... yea. The price was decent and the boil sauce I did enjoy but my crab was small and old. There's no refunds so know that. It's stated everywhere. I'd say try the Crab Station or Boiling Crab for now.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall located off Forest Lane. The food here is very affordable, flavorful and made to order. Great lunch spot.
google avatar

Orlando R.

Yelp
Great Hole in the wall restaurant food is amazing i have been coming for years ! The New Location is better still same great food
google avatar

Paley W.

Yelp
The quickest and very close to authentic cajun fix in north dallas. I pass by by this little hole in the wall all the time on forrest lane not really knowing what it really was until I decided to go in one day. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. You eat in but I notice people were just in and out with their orders. The selection of cajun style food is enormous. I would suggest start with chicken wings like they would say too, but my first experience was the shrimp/fish/oyster combo. I have to say they were good quality for the price and the portion is not either, though we could use some more fries. Overall the meal was really enjoyable and there really isn't any reason to not giving them full set of stars.

griselda f.

Yelp
Food was Great, I had catfish with shrimp and man those shrimp were Jumbo . Everything tasted amazing .
google avatar

Kama S.

Yelp
Had 2 lbs of boiled crawfish. Great price, they were a good size, and the place is nice. Very clean, quick service, and I will definitely be back! The crawfish were the perfect amount of spice and definitely Cajun.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Can't stop eating the Salt N Pepper wings. I had them the first time and never ordered anything else. I'll drive out of my way to get some more.
google avatar

Frankie B.

Yelp
Great butterfly shrimp! I have gotten to popcorn shrimp not as crispy as I'd like. If they cooked their food longer would Definitely be there more often!

Gary B.

Yelp
Some of the best fish EVER! Quick and perfectly cooked. Flavor to die for. Most tender I've had in a long time.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
I was a big fan of the predecessor place here, run by the Lebanese guy with the Mexican seafood place. This place runs closer to the original tenant, Top Cat, in fare and feel. I swung by for lunch today to check it out, and was generally pleased, with one high high and plenty of room for incremental improvements: Excellent: the fried catfish in my catfish basket were excellent, big and crisp and corn meal-peppery flavorful, delivering with this five star entree. Good: the hush puppies thrown in with the fish fillets were basic, and tasty. Fair: the overdressed iceberg salad (ask for dressing on the side), the ordinary fried rice served as the sole ($0.50 upcharge) substitute choice for fries (which looked excellent on other tables), and the marginal sauces served in big plastic squirt bottles. Small future improvements in all these (listed above) "fair" areas would go a long way to elevate this place to five stars for me, and give it a legit chance at long term survival at this location, which has a hard time holding businesses that survive for over a year or two, historically.
google avatar

Darlin N.

Yelp
I travel to Dallas for business from HOUSTON (yearly) and I ALWAYS make sure I have lunch at MY FAVORITE LUNCH SPOT. The food is ALWAYS fresh and DELICIOUS; never disappointed. GREAT cost with well PORTIONS of food.

Sheila M.

Yelp
I've always loved TJ Cajun, I was a customer from the beginning when they were in the Hamilton Park location. But I hadn't eaten here in a while. When I finally did yesterday, I got the wings which are usually delicious but this time they were unsually huge, filled with hormones or steroid. The chicken also has a weird texture to it or maybe it was uncooked. It gave me a rash and a headache. It definitely wasn't the type of chicken they used to serve before. And the rice was dry, clumped together and burned with no taste. I don't think I will be back. I might try the Garland location next time to see if there any better but after getting sick I think I'm thru with TJs, especially since they switched to a synthetic type of chicken. Maybe I'll just go for the crab or shrimp next time.
google avatar

Tom P.

Yelp
Yesss sir this place is right out of Louisiana killer wings and awesome fries and the popcorn shrimp is great. The cashiers are super friendly and service was fast and order perfect they have a great choices and the costs are cheep cooked to order not hot lights fresh crunchy coming back fo sure post note the hush puppies best I have ever had!!!!
google avatar

Kesha H.

Yelp
I love TJ Cajun seafood. I drive all the way from downtown to come to this spot. I usually call my order in on the way there and it's ready by the time I get there. The service is always fast and friendly. I love that the fried boudain balls are fried with cornmeal and they are a little spicy which I love. I always get the fried shrimp and fish with fries and it as never disappointed me. I love that you can reheat it in the oven the next day and it still tastes fresh. On my next visit I plan to try the stuffed shrimp and stuffed crab.
google avatar

Quincy L.

Yelp
Seems like everything is made to order so it is not the quickest but it's tasty and simple. Good lunch place if you do not go at the peak times. I have gotten several of their lunch specials. For what it is, the value is good.
google avatar

Trina M.

Yelp
Fresh, hot and perfectly seasoned. That's just what you want and just what you get when you come here. In town for just two nights, I was looking for some good grub that wouldn't hurt the pocket. BOOM! Wishes do come true. Called in for take out, the pick up was quick and the food was still hot when I got back to my hotel room. The catfish and shrimp were awesome - louisana hot sauce and ketchup ensure paradise. WINNER!
google avatar

Raul B.

Yelp
Probably one of the best fried catfish in Dallas. Only suggestion would be to not be so stingy with the "salad" and "fries" that come with the dish....specially the salad. The taste of the food has all been very good....specially the fried seafood. Hate to take off a full STAR, but there are no in-betweens.
google avatar

Aatiysha S.

Yelp
Love this spot and it's convenience! I go here atleast once a week for lunch . Yummmm

Haley G.

Yelp
Me and my husband have ate here 4 times now and have tried something new everytime. Amazing food! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Had the grill catfish and shrimp platter in the fashion of a greasy spoon with styrofoam case and plastic forks. The rice was alright and hush puppies not as crisp but the fish and shrimp had a good kick. Worth a try.
