My wife and I first met on the New York City subway exactly 40 years ago. We decided to take a short road trip to Bucks County to celebrate the occasion and chose TJ Smith’s for our dinner. Our server, Hope, helped to make the evening special. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. Dessert was also excellent! We will definitely be back to TJ Smith’s when we are in the area again.

Well, where to begin. We had reservations at 6 and it is now 6:30 and we are back home and I am leaving this review. I drove from VA this morning to visit my daughter who goes to school in PA. I wanted to take her and her boyfriend out for a nice dinner since they couldn’t be home in VA for Thanksgiving and their apt does not have the capabilities to cook a Thanksgiving dinner as it’s a basement apt. I had originally made reservations at another restaurant, but on my way in to town I saw people going into TJ Smiths. I pulled up their menu when I got to my daughter’s apt and the options looked good, so I called them and made a reservation. When we arrived, there was a buffet set up and that was the only option. It was my fault for not being aware that they would not be serving their menu. It was also my fault for not asking how much each person would be along with checking out the buffet first. I remained hopeful, but the food was terrible. Everything was cold. My daughter who loves Mac&cheese, was so excited when they brought out a fresh pan, but she was quickly disappointed. How do you mess up mac&cheese?!? It was cold and had no flavor. There was such a thick layer of fat on the turkey and none of that crispy skin. I took one bite and it and I couldn’t take another one as it had a slimy texture to it. The mashed potatoes were cold, the stuffing was mushy. They served fried fish and tilapia and both were cold. The fried fish was so dry, at first I thought it was chicken. The turkey gravy was very dark. The green beans were hard. The one thing that was decent was the canned corn and the tortellini, but while eating the tortellini I bit into something hard and could not continue to eat it. They referred to the rolls as “fresh,” but they were hard and once again cold. The family and I felt bad for not liking it, but it was simply not good. When the check came it was $44.99/person. Of course I paid it, but we barely ate anything so we basically gave them $140. I did speak with the manager Bill, who said he disagrees with me, didn’t say sorry, and did not come back out after taking my payment. Sadly, we would have had better food at Wawa. I also feel terrible leaving this review because I do believe everyone, especially the “chef” worked hard, but it was not good at all. Luckily, I didn’t eat hardly anything, but my daughters boyfriend did due to being very hungry and waiting all day to eat and now he is already in the restroom. I would not recommend this place, but I’m from VA and maybe people in PA prefer different food. This will be a Thanksgiving dinner that we won’t forget and we certainly learned from this mistake. **Edit: WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! The responses from this owner are brazen for an independently owned restaurant. I humbled myself and took responsibility for my mistakes. I have no issues paying for good food. For reference, I spent $200 at my local independently owned BBQ place for 2 people without blinking an eye. I then turned around and had an event at work and spent $300 on 5 pies and their cornbread. I have an issue paying for terrible food that we barely ate any of cause it was disgusting! My review is to warn other people that they will pay high quality prices for very low quality food that is not worth it. I’m not the jerk, you are and I have nothing to be ashamed of as you opened your restaurant on Thanksgiving and had your employees work. Your waiter saw and knew we did not like the food because everything we got off the buffet was still on our plate. This is the first time I have ever not tipped and that’s because although the waiter was kind enough, he brought us drinks and lied about bringing fresh rolls. Due to your cost for terrible food, I didn’t tip. I hope your employees find a better establishment to work at. Seeing how you treat customers, I can only imagine how you treat your team. This is all a YOU problem. Maybe try being humble and looking into making your establishment better rather than being so rude to the people paying to keep you in business.

We received a gift certificate to this place for Christmas, we never got around to using it. We have never been here before. I wish I would have taken food pics to add to review but I didn’t think of it. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip as the appetizer and we both ordered the piggy back burger and sweet potato fries. Also ordered some sort of strawberry smash vodka drink. Everything was delicious. Patrick, our server, answered all of our questions and made recommendations. We will absolutely be back. And will be hoping to have Patrick assist us the next time.

My first time at Tj Smith's was very enjoyable. I'm wheelchair bound and their open floor plan allowed me to move around easily. We had dinner which included appetizers and soup, all which was very tasty. The portions were generous. The service was very good. I would definitely return to this restaurant, as well as recommend it to friends.

This past Saturday my Husband and I met our daughter and son in law for brunch/lunch and it was excellent! Our server Valerie gave us great recommendations and she didn’t make us feel bad that our family was running a bit late as we thought we were holding up her table. The kids ordered brunch items and my husband and I ordered lunch. The steak and eggs were said to be delicious. Our waitress suggested the blackened prime rib for my husband and he LOVED IT. I ordered a steakhouse burger and it was excellent. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter cake and lemon cake to share. Our bellies were happy! We will certainly be returning to try what we couldn't try in one day!

Have been here many times now and always have a good meal. The service can be slow, but that's because this place packs them in, and the staff always hustles.

Family friendly (toddler). Patrick our server was a delight! Mac and cheese, grilled chicken, cream of mushroom soup, potato skins, chicken tortellini, and strip steak were all well executed. Drink and dessert options had plenty of variety.

Make sure you are aware of no free refills on soda or ice tea. I was charged $7 for 2 ice teas. I question it and was told no free refills. Normally I drink 4. Can't image paying $14 for ice tea at a restaurant or even 10.50 from what you are saying. Doesn't really matter much as I won't be going back.

Love happy hours! This was one of the best happy hours around (4pm-6pm). Still thinking about it today. Besides, you can't go wrong with half priced appetizers. Huge portions too. I ordered the half price lettuce wraps which were delicious and even had left overs for lunch. Plus, the drinks were a generous pour with great prices also. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Wish I were hungry enough to order the mussles which everyone around us ordered. They looked so good in the marinara sauce and bread dipping. Maybe next time... and there will be a next time. The restaurant is quite large and spacious. Has a large bar and outside seating. Portions for dinners looked impressive as they passed by. Service was attentive and friendly (bar tender Mark). Yup...it was all good.

TJ Smiths is always a dependable choice for lunch or dinner. They have really great seafood appetizers, such as their clams, mussels and calamari. Their buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and fried chicken entree are amazing. They have solid burgers as well. The staff is always very polite and fast even when they are busy. I wish the main menu changed more often, but they do offer specials almost every day.

Stopped by TJ's for lunch today with a friend and we were met with a very friendly and helpful server named Kim. She was helpful in picking out Brunch items that we would like since it was our first time at TJ's for brunch. We ordered our drinks and food and the drinks arrived quickly. Our food came out (Philly Benedict and Breakfast Burrito) and it was delicious. My only suggestion is maybe to have a sauce (or more sauce for the Burrito). All in all, my friend and I had a good meal with great service. Thanks Kim!

I had lunch with a friend on Saturday. We met about 1 o'clock and the restaurant was buzzing. I took advantage of the brunch menu and ordered eggs Benedict. It was very good. Our waitress, Kim was outstanding. She was prompt, helpful, and very professional. In addition, she had a great sense of humor. I've been to this restaurant before and will continue to do so. I've had numerous items on the menu and have never been disappointed.

Came here with a few friends on a Saturday around 7:30. Spacious restaurant and interior is nice and resembles the typical American chain restaurant. Waitstaff were all super nice. I ordered blackened shrimp on top of the house salad. It was good. Friendly and welcoming staff!

May 18, 2023, dinner for 3 - sadly we were last here as two couples many years ago... our dear friend Brian lost his battle to throat cancer a month ago. Our server Emma was fantastic, witty, and stupendously attentive. I was going to skip this review and just enjoy my dinner out on our 3,000 mile journey from Florida to NC to PA to my daughters college graduation. I have at least 5 pending reviews, but this one jumped the to fruition. Got a few cosmos for the girls, and I just a water with lemon. They declared fantastic and a very good value at under 8 bucks. 10/10 My Grilled vegetable sandwich with mushroom's, spinach, peppers on a focaccia roll was nicely cooked, not too oily/greasy/wet, and had nice product. If I had a quip a little bit TOO cheesy, but nothing horrible. 9/10 The girls both got the Aztec salad. With a wide assortment of veggies (corn, cheese, lettuce etc. and a spicy/Cajun shrimp and lemon chicken that BOTH enjoyed very much. 10/10 The place is almost surgical clean, crazy spacious and VERY easy to have a conversation and chat without somebody sitting in your lap or wait/bus staff banging into you. Silverware and glassware clean, clear and table linens serviceable and sanitary. I did not look at other reviews yet, but I am challenged to find any issues here. Service, food, facilities, value - check, check, check, check. Great spot.

Havent had a bad experience yet. Both dine in and take out have been fantastic. Great for a quick pickup or to casually dine in during lunch or even for drinks and food at night. Service has been great and the menu options are plentiful so a lot of choice for everyone. Ambiance is a nice mix of sports bar and casual eatery. Just all around a comfortable place to be no matter what the occasion. With that said, I can't put my finger on what they're specifically known for. But a casual spot doesnt really need to be known for any particular thing. Jack of all trades but a master of none and theres not much wrong with that.

Fun atmosphere but can be a little loud. The food is great! We had a pizza for the kids and the adults did entrees from the dinner menu. The pretzel app is super filling!

Her movements equated to Mozart's fifth Symphony, every pore was exact, and she moved with the gratefulness of a swan, Jen, not skipping a beat for a moment. She was so fast. The only images I could get would be a blur yet she took our order made our drinks asked us how we liked our dinner and all this in the moment. The food was delicious. The owner came over to us, and I told him how graceful of a swan this bartender us was. If you haven't eaten here at the bar and you're truly missed a great experience, although it seems like only a second.

Visiting from out of town, this is a good sports bar and restaurant, not high end, but worthy of a drop-by to watch the game for sure. Service was attentive, efficient and professional.

The food was delicious. The server was very attentive . My only complaint is I wish you had a handicap entrance . The handicap parking is quite far from the entrance . Makes it difficult for older folks and folks using a walker or a cane the cobblestones are difficult if you are using those tools . People with breathing problems also can't always walk that far . My friends and I would go more often if it was easier to get in . Thanks for your considering my comments .

Everything we ordered was absolutely atrocious! Over salted. So much garlic, you wonder what's being hidden. We expected way too much since its a pub. Absolutely waste of money!

We door dashed this place for $110 for our fairly simple meals. Witness mass produced fish sticks that were frozen and then fried. How about some acme brand tortellini boiled and dumped in the container? Wait, I know - you're gonna love this transparent cole slaw that smells like vinegar and not much else. Apparently the burger tasted ok. TL;DR this food sucks, I won't even give the chicken to the dogs and I'm throwing it all out.

My family and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It was fairly busy, but we were seated quickly and our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Our meals came to the table fast. We experienced wonderful service, but had a few issues with the food. We ordered 3 wraps (Baja and two Monterey), the Reuben and a burger. The Reuben and burger looked wonderful and tasted great. However, the Monterey wrap left much to be desired. It was pretty much flavorless and included salad topping bacon bits and barely any fresh ingredients. It was a big let down!

Burgers great, veggie stir fry great a little over salted, fried chicken good. DON'T ORDER FiSH CHPS. Think totally tasteless over breaded not fresh. Believe me order it somewhere else Fries overdone

A nice, diverse menu in a clean, spacious location. I've been here a few times and always enjoyed the ample selection of appetizers and entrees. If I had one criticism, it would be that their dessert menu is very limited and not very interesting. My advice to management is to revamp and add to your dessert menu. Years ago they had a much better - and broader - dessert menu that included a lemon cake that, frankly, was just shy of heavenly. Now it is about six items, uninspired and not worth exploring. That said, I love their app menu, and I come here because I love the variety offered by the sandwich and entree menu. This is definitely an unassuming place to check out on Route 611.

If you have children and plan on bringing them into this establishment- I recommend finding another place.( They are NOT kid friendly!) They told our big party (28 guests) that our children were unruly and obnoxious. They're toddlers and weren't acting out. The bill was a decent amount and they called the cops on our table for our "acting out" children instead of coming to talk to us like adults. Super unprofessional, and to have the entire staff come out to belittle us is ASTONISHING especially in front of our toddlers and teenage children!! The worst experience and to top it off a very unfriendly management team that I have ever dealt with dining out. The situation could've been handled entirely different and the name calling didn't have to happen on either parts. This place needs to DO BETTER! Happy holidays! Side note- I wouldn't of given this place any stars if I could.

Wow what an amazing place. My boyfriend and I decided to go somewhere a little out of our "bubble" So here we land at TJ smiths. We walk in, and from the look of the parking lot, it was poppin'. We walk in and there was a 20 minute wait which we had no issue with so we sit on the patio, and when two bar seats opened up the hostess (with the most-est)came and found us (herself, which she didn't have to do knowing she had my phone number for the waiting list) letting us know we could sit here sooner rather then waiting longer for a table. Long story short our bartenders (Brittany, and Lewis) were absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. I even got two desserts. And the Spotify 90s playlist is STRAIGHT FIRE.

Good place to eat , French onion soup is very good , wings are good. I recommend for lunch and diner.

Affordable drinks and welcoming bartender . Food was meh , kinda bland . Had the chicken tortellini dish . GF had quiche and salad. Will return bc it's close and has large bar with ample tvs for sports.

Been coming here for years, always a great happy hour but not so much anymore. The clams casino and stuffed mushrooms made my happy hour, but now they're not included. We'll se how much business they get for happy hour now. I guess if you're rich you'll enjoy paying full price.

Almost hate to write this review as TJ Smith's is so good. They have a great happy hour M-T with special on food and almost all drinks. The bartenders are all fantastic and friendly. Waitstaff is young but they try hard. Extensive menu and everything I have tried has bees fantastic.

Steak is precooked... tried to get it fresh for a salad $25.00... said that's not how they do it!! It was terrible!!

What a nice Easter we had. TJs offered a beautiful buffet and I had mine specially made by Ben the Chef..gluten free. Thank you Ben...and we love the atmosphere and wait staff (shout out to Patrick!)...Great place...hope you can visit soon!

Went on a Saturday night with reservations. Seated fine in a booth. The waitress said when she arrived to greet us "I'm so sorry, I'm really slammed, I'll be right with you." She said this many times during the evening. And the place was slammed, and mostly the clientele were blue-collar looking families drinking a lot. Very noisy, TVs on. Not a pub, more like a restaurant you'd find at a beach vacation spot. Service was slow but friendly. Menu was okay, very varied from pastas (not homemade (?) and bland) and salads, to littlenecks (delicious) to wraps and burgers. The desserts were bland. The bbq chicken wraps were so dry and chewy they were inedible, but nicely removed from our bill. Prices were high for what was served, here by the highway in Warrington, PA. We would go back; the food was a "good okay" and the experience, we are guessing, will be better on a less-busy night of the week.

I'm so glad there is a restaurant/bar like this in these crazy times. This is one of those hidden gems!!! I can't wait to continue helping out a wonderful small business like this. The food is worth my drive!!

I was at TJ's last night and I have to say that the management should be commended for the way they handled an unruly large party( approximately 30 people) They had an altercation with a table in the same room after their children started blowing noisemakers. They were asked to have the children calm down so everyone could enjoy their evening. When management got involved the "adults" responded with profanity and started throwing drinks and plate wear on the floor. They were yelling that they weren't going to pay the bill and that they weren't kid friendly. Needless to say the police were called which was very necessary. Kids are going to be kids and are most certainly welcome but we all know there is a line that needs to be drawn especially in a public place.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street and so this was an easy walk. Great atmosphere and really good food. Also, many good taps. I especially liked the brown ale and the beet & goat cheese salad. The soup of the day was steak and potato.. I could've ordered another cup if my waistline didn't scream at me! The waitress was very pleasant too. Great place.

In town for business and stayed across the street at the Hampton inn. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. Close to the hotel, not a chain restaurant, clean, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. It also had some healthier options. I ended up getting the salmon with risotto, and asked for it to be cooked more on the rare side. When it first arrived, I was a bit worried that the salmon may be over cooked, but in fact, the cook had it at the right temperature with the perfect crusty sear. Well seasoned. Risotto was very good as well. I was able to save half for my lunch tomorrow. Bartender was friendly and attentive.

I like say that the waiter was great, but the food was bad.The fries were probably the best thing and that's not saying much, we spent 170 dollars on basic food nothing special and on top of that a 3% charge if you use a card! No way we will ever be back to many other options out there, save your money

Watch out for them stealing from employees.. took to much social withholding out from me and getting the run around from management getting my money back and a new w-2 so I can file taxes.sent several emails before one returned . Then was told I was sent a text .. never got .. waited two months emailed again and was told to call the payroll company myself. I did they can't help because only manager and owner Dan fix with them . I guess next step is filing a complaint with the labor department. Workers beware

After a long day of traveling, I came in to TJ Smith's with a couple of business associates for dinner. We were greeted and sat immediately. The restsurant was fairly quiet, but it was a little later on a Sunday night. We ordered a bottle of wine (I was fairly impressed with their wine list. I expected an establishment like this to have more standard choices, but there was a nicely balanced and international selection), and started with the crab-stuffed mushrooms. The appetizer came out quickly and was very tasty! For entrees, we ordered the crab ravioli (house made ravioli with wild caught blue crab), the seafood mac and cheese, and the Caesar salad with blackened chicken (with homemade Caesar dressing). We all added either a side Caesar Salas or French onion soup. The salads and soup were delish! The homemade dressing is spot on here! The entrees: worthy of the four stars here. SO good, and honestly, unexpectedly so. The decor is more "sports bar". The food (at least the entrees) were upscale. We were feeling saucy and decided to order dessert. One lava cake a la mode and a flourless chocolate torte later, we were ready to roll back to our hotel across the street. Couple this with five star service from Tiffany, and we'll definitely be back when in the area next time!! (In fact, we walked over for drinks the next night.) Come here. Just doooooo it!!

TJ Smith's on Easton Road near the border between Doylestown and Warrington gives the feel of a western mountain lodge - all exposed wood and stone, high vaulted ceilings and beams. The bar room where we ate was spacious on a weekday afternoon, and the service was friendly and informative. We opted for their 4 beer sampler to go with their self-proclaimed famous burgers and a cheesesteak. At $8.50 for the 3 oz. glasses, the price was about right, and the offerings of national brew was tasty and interesting, although 2 of them had a pumpkin component in honor of the season. They were fine. The burgers were large (8 oz.) with the appropriate fixings, although both of them came out beyond the medium finish requested, which, with an empty house was hard to understand other than inattentiveness at the grill. Their tastes were good, and the beef had not been frozen. The cheesesteak was average and clearly not their forte. Plenty of HDTVs everywhere for those who want sports stimulation while eating or drinking (this is a sports bar), but not so overwhelming as to be a distraction to conversation. Attractive house. With more attention to detail, it could be an exceptional stop in an otherwise nondescript strip of Bucks County.

All the charm and class of a TGI Friday's with none of the professionalism. I live in D.C., and a friend who lives in Boston and I ended up at this place because we're staying at a nearby hotel for a wedding. A bunch of people from the wedding decided to go here for easy drinks and bites the night before the big day - like 20 of us. Admittedly, the restaurant had no notice that we were coming so it would have been unreasonable to expect them to just magically have a massive table or private room available, but they seemed to have no desire whatsoever to accommodate us in the slightest, despite the fact that hey, we just brought them a ton of business and were looking to spend serious money on drinks. No attempt to make space for us somewhere, not so much as someone going to take a look at the bar to see if they could pull some high tops together for us, nothing. They acted like we were an inconvenience. Fine. So, since they didn't have any free tables near each other in the main dining area, we decided to go to the bar, which was seat yourself. So a group of five of us crowded around a high top that was meant for 3 or 4, settled in and started to think about ordering, only for the host to come over with another party in tow and say as curtly as possible, "Actually, this is part of our seating." As in, this isn't seat yourself, it's only seat yourself at the bar. Nice. Thanks for making that clear before we put our bags down and got settled, bro. After he booted us off our table without so much as a "sorry about that," we wandered over to the bar and started taking stools as they became available. Some of the patrons were very sweet, offering to move over so we could sit next to each other. A few people from our group put names on the list for the dining room but we were hungry so my Boston friend and I decided to order some drinks and an app to tide ourselves over before being seated. She ordered a cocktail off the menu from the very unenthused-seeming bartendress. This cocktail, which was large and apparently tasty and strong and only $7 (!!! It would be at least $12 if not $14 in D.C. or Boston and half the size) is the only reason I have for even giving this joint a second star. I don't eat meat except for fish, and I found the vegetarian options on their menu less than appealing, with no veggie burger, no vegetarian pastas that seemed like they would be remotely satisfying without a meat addition, and my only other options were things like the ever ubiquitous token hummus and some kind of vegetable sandwich that is basically the (barely even) suburban answer to the vegetable-forward small plate cornucopia that is urban dining, replete with fourteen different kinds of roasted cauliflower, braised brussels sprouts and every known variation on kale ever to have been developed in the history of humanity. I was displeased. Meanwhile, the fish dishes had prices indicative of having been pre-frozen. Ultimately I asked for, and I state this verbatim, "A regular hot coffee and some onion rings." The bartendress didn't understand me. So I repeated, "A coffee and some onion rings." She brings my coffee after a few minutes, sets it down too hard, spills tons of it into the saucer, says nothing. Nice. I try it after dumping in the requisite amount of sugar and cream (out of one of those IHOP style peel-lid containers, not an actual cream dish). It was weak and stale. Meanwhile, we close our tab while still waiting for the onion rings, figuring it would keep things simple for when we switched to a table later. The bill comes and I see that it says "loaded onion rings" for $8.99. My friend mentions that the menu said loaded onion rings come with bacon. So I say to the bartendress that I don't eat meat and I didn't realize they were loaded. She goes, "I can change it but it's still the same price." OK, we say. The loaded onion rings, I saw after looking at the menu, come with bacon, some kind of "Cholula ranch" whatever that is, and a few different kinds of cheese. When she arrives with my "same price" onion rings, it's a plate of like six super fried standard rings with nothing on them. I said I don't eat meat. Not that I don't eat cheese or ranch. At this point I was completely fed up with this little experiment in mediocrity. Meanwhile, the tables that my party had asked for became available but were on the opposite side of the restaurant from where many of our compatriots were having drinks at the bar and, since several of the self-seating bar stools had opened up in the meantime, they decided to just stay put and eat there. Not wanting to subject myself to the whims of this service staff or this shining example of the standard, GOP-voting Merikan fare that is no doubt the source of this nation's longstanding romance with heart disease any longer, my friend and I left for the one restaurant in the area to have obtained more than a 3.5 star rating on Yelp.

I've gone here three times and I just don't like this place. The first time we went I think was right after they opened and they gave us a menu and the only thing my mom and I wanted on the menu was the thing that was sold out and they didn't tell us until after we ordered and it was just a whole long experience. The second was last September. time I got chicken Marsala with potatoes and some vegetable. It was good, nothing spectacular. Our waiter was not very nice and kind of an idiot/ mildly insulting. So that was a good experience. We went on Thursday to play trivia, solely for trivia and then after seating us down right when our waitress came over to get our orders, the hostess told us we're not doing trivia because of the Eagles game. That just put us in an awkward spot because we had all eaten, but one from our party, and so I just wanted to leave because I was only there for trivia to get a drink maybe some apps. It was not posted online or even made aware to the hostess. That's just poor management. The drink menu wasn't even updated it still had summer drinks on it even though it's October. There were no other specials. Our waitress was not friendly in the slightest and seemed very impatient. I'm always sympathetic to wait staff because I know their job is hard but she was just rude. The drinks prices were unlisted and and rather expensive considering the one drink our party ordered was mostly juices/soda. The table was also disgusting their were onions stuck to the sides of the table that got on us. You can tell it's not cleaned well. Not to mention the fact that the place is always really dark, which just hides how gross it is. I won't be back. I've heard of other people with bad experiences as well and people who went for a particular event for it to be cancelled. So this isn't a one time thing. TJ Smith's is clearly dropping the ball. 3 strikes and you're out.

Getting a table on a Friday night was slow even though we had called ahead for seating, so we stopped by the bar for a drink while we waited. The bar was packed, but the bar tenders were quite friendly and quick to service us. Once seated the service was quick, but did feel like we were being rushed through our meals. I ordered the guacamole bacon burger. The burger was pretty lackluster, and the guacamole was flavorless and a little too viscous, all running off the burger as I grabbed the bun to get my first bite. The dominating flavor of the meal was the onion that it was topped with. The wife had seafood Mac and cheese which she said was very good. Beer selection was good and they had a decent amount of seasonal beers to choose from. This visit was exactly what I recall from the last time I visited about 6 years ago, which unfortunately is not enough to lure me back anytime soon.

Most choices were really great (avoid the chickenparm - awful.) like my crab-stuffed ravioli, over broccoli rabe. St. Louis Ribs were fall-off-the bone tender. There is a slight "SYSCO" pre-fab element to the food - but for the most part we love a nice weekend lunch here. Burgers (patty melts, southwest style) are a solid choice. Upgrading to Sweet potato fries is a good idea!

I would usually get takeout and it was always really good! I talked the boyfriend into going for dinner and we had a great experience! Our server was great, food came out a minute slower than normal due to how busy it was. We shared pretzel bites as an app, I had Fra Diablo Mussel with pasta, and he had a burger. It was amazing I cannot wait to go back! Also our server, Mandy was great!

Great happy hour, deck and weekend breakfast spot. It can get really busy at those times so you need to try and get here early.

Got food poisoning from their food. Tonight I ordered their special tonight, the rib eye steak that cost me $27. It was cooked at different temperatures all over the steak, and now I'm on the toilet for the rest of the night. My date had the vodka penne and got an add on of the chicken. The chicken was so dry and tasted like cardboard. Not to mention the pasta was extremely salty. While we were eating, they were taking the tables and chair down and away and setting up for a buffet for the next day. There were still people eating in the restaurant and it was completely rude and distracting to have them making noise and set up for the next day before 9pm. 2 beers and 2 entrées equaled $75. Not going back to that restaurant again.

An interesting concept - the place looks and feels upscale, but the prices aren't jacked up unnecessarily. You pay for the quality you get and the ingredients you order, period. I have to respect that. There's a nice beer selection on tap, especially some of the seasonal and micro brews. I didn't order all that much, but what I had was perfectly done and seasoned. As for desserts, there's an automatic 1-star deduction - everything on the menu is brought in frozen, and the portions are small. Is it that hard to find fresh desserts nearby if you don't have the skill set to make them yourself? I do respect them for being honest about it, though. So I had the waffles, which are in fact made on premises, and I was very glad with that choice. tl;dr: Whatever you get for dinner, enjoy the beer selection and finish with the waffles.

I have to say I was really impressed with this place. The food was outstanding. I stuck with a classic - bacon cheeseburger - and my friend had some tortellini. Both dishes were great and really hit the spot. The fries with my burger were small in size and a tad bland, but still okay. What really impressed me was the atmosphere and the bar. TJ Smiths had a classy yet hip environment with soft lighting and a spacey seating area. To the right of the entrance is the bar, where there is an impressive selection of beer and beverages. I chose to go fruity and light and had a Sparkling Razz and Dragonberry Cosmo. I was happy with my decision, and the bartender was awesome (her name was Sarah). The menu was a bit pricey, but I'd be happy to return for a night out with my girls. It's a must try if you're looking for a sit-down dinner in the Warrington area.

We were there for a Holiday party. The food was good and hot, and the service was good. We were a party of about 40 and would recommend going back.

My wife and I had read the Yelp reviews, and some of them were ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Childish people blowing all sorts of minutia into huge mountains. Both of us rate this place a solid FOUR STARS--maybe more. We keep "light Kosher," so we cannot rate everything---but what we had was delicious. This was my first time here, and it was my birthday. We decided to try this restaurant, that we had seen for many years. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife ordered the salmon. The waitress, Arianna, was excellent. Always available, and checking in----refilling our drinks and waters, as desired. The meal started out with a Caesar salad. A bit small, but delicious I make my own Caesar salads, and frankly, mine is excellent. TJ Smith's was darn close. Only the croutons could have been slightly improved---but they were house-made. Excellent dressing, good grated cheese. Fish was excellent. Three nice tacos with a side of rice and black beans. Garnishes of salsa and guacamole, on the side. My wife's salmon was excellent----exactly as ordered. House was flexible as to sides and vegetables....and delicious. Coffee and Ice tea were excellent. Dessert of small apple pie tart with ice cream, was perfectly made. Excellent service. We'll be back. p.s. We went on a Saturday night. Lots of help. Setting up the Sunday breakfast/brunch (only $10.00) Looked very nice. Omlette stations, plus. Well recommended. Waitress (Arianna) was also excellent.

I guess you get what you pay for but if you go to a restaurant I think you expect to be served food that was prepared for you and not dumped out of a box. I ordered the fish and chips. It was obvious the fish was frozen and from a box. It was dripping with grease and barely edible. The "chips" were French fries and they were cold. The slaw was flavorless. My wife ordered a salad with grilled steak, the meat was cold, chewy, dry and overly spiced. My daughter ordered the penne with vodka sauce. She finished her plate so she must have liked it. This was not my first bad meal there. I will not return again.

TJ Smith's is a delightful rarity as far as dining experiences go. Upon entering I was extremely impressed with the lovely host and staffs friendly greeting and the classy yet casual interior of the restaurant. You have a choice of sitting at their large super inviting bar or comfortable tables for a meal. Our waiter was awesome. Super attentive and informative/suggestive with the menu since it was our first time. If I hadn't been won over at this point the moment the appetizers arrived would have done it. From the starters to when our entrees arrived everything was gorgeously displayed/garnished and amazingly delicious. Each dish was out of this world. Definitely a new favorite of mine!
