TK Burger

Used to be my go to 2x a month after work when i felt too tired to cook after a day's work. We've been coming to tk in NB and mostly HB as we live here now but over the past decade, tk has changed a lot. Its not the same anymore. Their chicken sandwich is no longer a full breast size, now they slice the breast in half maybe even 1/3 and pound it SOOO thin, u can taste a hint of chicken but its mostly bread & lettuce flavor! Their burgers are also much thinner now and most of the time dry, ud have to get double or triple patties to taste the meat! Their onion rings are always burnt and flimsy. If you're lucky to get a fresh batch, it will be delicious and crispy, but that's 50/50 chance you're taking. Im tired of spending $60+ twice a month from this joint for my family of 4 and to just regret not cooking instead.... used to love tk. Now, its sadly only 2 stars in my book.

Wisconsin boy here. Boy Howdy this place is a vibe!! You want that 50’s surfer feel you got it. Want great burgers? You got it, also at a great price. They make their own special sauce called TK sauce, which is virtually Midwestern coleslaw without the cabbage to it so it’s coleslaw juice. But it goes great with the hot crispy fries. I’m here in the state visiting a friend and they recommended this place and it did not let me down. Burgers are flame broiled, which is a big plus coming from a Midwestern person. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the food as I find that cliché, but I was also too busy consuming it.

Great food for an even better price. Pretty hard to find a cheeseburger and fries for under $10 in Orange County, especially a burger of that size. Great flavor, good dipping sauce, and right on the beach. Highly recommend

We LOVE TK Burgers & fries. We go every time we’re in town. The restaurant itself is super small & a very hole in the wall type of place but the food is amazing. There’s hardly any place to sit, too, which is the only real complaint. Otherwise keep it up TK!

It's a fine burger, nothing gourmet or over the top. Came with their "house" sauce l,t,m,p I added bacon. 10 bucks for the burger 2 bucks for a bottle of water. Girl who took my order was friendly, got me out the door in under 5 minutes. No napkins in the bag is my only hangup.

Someone took a bite out of my takeout :) Don’t trust the staff is watching over your order. They clearly let whoever shows up at the counter to grab a burger from a bag, take a bite out of it, put it back in the bag and leave as though nothing happened.

What's not to love about this place - beach shack vibe, tasty food and friendly service! It was my first visit to any TK Burgers, but I doubt it'll be my last. I'm a fan of a good ahi tuna burger so, when I saw it on the menu, knew I had to try it. Really liked but, though I'd get it again, look forward to trying some of the other great offerings here. Loved the vibe (though this concept would also be great tiki-style!). Service was fast and with a smile. Typically HB pier area parking challenges, but I easily found a spot a couple blocks away and got some steps in. Whatever TK Burgers is doing, it should keep on doing it!

First off, I do enjoy their burgers. My review is not unique just to my visit today but rather the majority of my visits to this location and the Mission Viejo location. When I go get a burger I really enjoy hot crispy fries with it. Since I always see fries just sitting there waiting to get scooped up I always ask for fresh, hot, crispy fries that are Not refried. I always mention this to the person taking my order at the time of my order. At that point I expect my fries to be prepared as I specified OR simply told that they will not prepared them that way and that I can go elsewhere if that is what I expect. When I order and make that request the gals taking my order act very afraid to tell the cook of my request but say OK. They act scared to death but have a short conversation with the cook and the cook usually gets the old fries that have been sitting there and gives me a nasty look and throws them back in the grease for a second time as I asked them not to refry them. Today the cook did not even do that but rather scooped up the old ones that had been sitting there and put them in the outer bag then a few minutes later put my burger in the bag. I asked the gal if these were fresh crispy fries and she looked me in the eye and said "YES". Total LIE as I watched the cook the whole time. I sat down and ate a fry and it was just a room temp fry so I returned them and asked for a refund. The young gal acted terrified but came up with $2.32 for fries that they charge more for. I might just need to cut the cord eating here as if the cannot accommodate me that is fine just tell me ,but to contain ally LIE TO ME IS UNACCEPTABLE.

4/5 Stars The burgers here are really good--nice size and packed with flavor. The TK sauce is excellent; I enjoyed mine so much I added extra to my burger, and it made it even better. I ordered the onion rings as well--great for the first five minutes while they were hot, but once they cooled down, they lost their appeal. The only downside for me was the lack of gloves during food prep and cooking. I'm big on sanitation, and I wish they used gloves for handling food. That's the main reason I couldn't give it a full 5 stars. Overall, though, tasty burgers and a solid spot to eat. Last note the place is super convenient and it's dope to go in and see all their cute wall papers they had on the ceiling

Parking can be a challenge so be prepared. The food was great. I had the cheese burger. It was simple and scrumptious. Service was great. The woman gave me a cup for water and smiled. Ambiance was unique and it reminded me of the movie Point Break. Cowabunga dude.

Delicious classic American cheeseburger, the bun is perfect and fresh ingredients! Also the ahi fish burger was delicious too! We also tried the onion rings which were crispy and perfect!

Greasy, delicious, American food! The burger was great, the corn dog was big and heavy. It's a great spot for an outdoor lunch! It's very filling and yummy. Service was great, seating is limited so keep that in mind. Onion rings were so good, I am such a fan! Overall a great experience!

TK Burger is a Huntington Beach staple, and the PCH location has that classic, laid-back beach vibe: surf photos, old records, and local HB nostalgia throughout. It's usually one of my favorite spots to grab a burger. This visit, we ordered three Big Bargain Specials: one with no tomato or onions, one double, and one triple with bacon; plus fries, an order of onion rings, and plenty of TK sauce (glad they brought back the self-serve post-COVID). Everything came out great except the triple burger, which only had two patties. I called and was told I could come back to have it fixed. I appreciated that, and I brought the burger back with a photo to show I wasn't trying to pull anything. Unfortunately, instead of making a fresh burger, they just handed me a single cheese patty. I didn't feel great asking them to remake it again, especially since I was trying to get home to eat with family, which didn't happen. They were friendly and gave me a free fry as a courtesy, but to be honest, the fix didn't really make up for the mistake. It wouldn't have taken much more effort to make things right, even on a Friday night. By the time I got home and tried to patch the burger together, it wasn't the same. The food overall was still good, and TK is always worth a visit, but this experience missed the mark a bit. Still a solid spot, just not a perfect night. 4 stars.

Ok update!!! We went back you have to ask for an 8 min burger so it's nice and well done to get the amazing tase we did I can do same thing at an and Out and get a really good burger remember 8 min patty's please

Enjoyed burgers from TK Burger (truck) for 1st time at HCS welcoming day last week. Hmmm, think a bit better than In n Out bcuz tasty warm burgers were much quicker and easier to get. Will definitely visit TK Burger locations in HB n Costa Mesa.

They don't take any pride in they're food. I ordered food for delivery and 1 was missing. I called and they told me that if I wanted it I would have to pick it up myself. The reason why I paid extra was because I wanted it delivered because I had company and couldn't leave. They said that I could pick it up another day. So I just made myself something for the evening. When I called to let them know the next day I was coming in to pick out up there was nothing notated about the original order missing a large double burger from the day before but the girl said that o could pick one up. When I got there I didn't look at it assuming after I told her the whole story everything was going to be fine. Instead I got a single burger that it had been sitting around since the day before. I was so frustrated I will ne ever again.

Burgers at the Beach As my title indicates, this little beachfront burger shack with friendly staff offers lunch with a view. Located on PCH with outdoor patio dining that faces the ocean, TK is putting out some soft buns with special TK sauce. I went with their special, $8.99 for a cheeseburger and fries and was happy with my choice. It tasted like a homemade burger but with a super soft bun. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had but it was pretty good, and a great price considering the area and view, Overall I was happy with my lunch and would definitely stop back by for a burger. That's this critic's review.

I have always been impressed with the quality of hamburgers and fries from TK Burgers. The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient. I look forward to visiting again.

Dude, TK is still bomb but the dynamic and vibe has completely changed. It used to be such a cool surf skate beach vibe, now every time I go inside to pick up my order it's literally blasting Mexican music. Not against Mexican music however it just takes away from the whole experience of eating a big juicy burger looking at the beach. Ya feel me? Jim?

The burger was delicious and perfect, with crispy, fluffy fries. TK burger is an instant classic. The service is simple: just walk up to the counter and order. The ambiance is unique, adorned with countless photos showcasing the surf and sand of Huntington Beach over the years. I especially loved the TK sauce, a mayo-dominant version of Thousand Island. It was a really good experience. I would definitely come back on a cheat day and totally recommend it.

So I love TK burger and would highly recommend usually , but I went this week and my food was really bad I noticed a new cook on the line and obviously he has a lot to learn hopefully trial by fire and he'll get the hang of it but right now I would avoid tk expecting its usually delicious food.

This place is great! They have good quality burgers right in front of the Huntington Pier. The view is great especially around sunset and the burgers never disappoint. 10/10 would recommend!

Really enjoyable experience at this uniquely located burger joint. Not a lot of seating, but the food is served quickly and the tables turn over pretty fast too. Burger and cheeseburger hit the spot. Great alternative to chain burger spots. I'd definitely come back and recommend to a friend.

Cheap and fast. LOVE IT, way better than getting a burger from any typical chain fast food restaurant. The fries with the seasoning on it was just what I needed to solve my hunger after a long day of putting the work in. Liked sitting outside and getting to watch the ocean.

TK Burgers is quick, and simple, and good, so that's a plus. Their Burgers are ok and they taste like they came from Costco and they're really small, and you can finish therm in 5 bites. Their fries are ok not the best, but not bad and they need to add a little bit more salt to them, so that it would taste better. They also have really good prices if you're broke and you don't have a lot of money this is the place to go.

Maddie and all of her co workers make this cozy shack a house full of hospital, caring friendly faces that greet you with sincerity and go above and beyond service you'd expect at a laid back burger shack , more akin the service of an Michelin star restaurant. The food is an integral part of my burger loving journey , and I consider myself lucky to say that TK is local to city I call home.

The food is sooo yummy! I've been coming here sense 2021 and it's so yummm. It's always so quick and the decorations and amazing. I love the staff and the service they provide.

I love TK Burger, and it's really close to my house. A while ago they got rid of the Jr. Combo and don't offer a Jr. burger any longer. I can rarely finish a full reg burger so that was a bummer but I could deal. Now their reg burgers are super sized with everything EXCEPT the patty. Giant, much less soft bun, bigger thicker pickles, more lettuce, and did I mention the GIANT bun? Just got it again tonight right before they closed. The fries were inedible. Even my hubs tossed his and he eats pretty much everything. The burger was BURNED. I tossed the whole thing. Here is my VERY burned burger.

My family came here on the 4th of July. It was beyond packed with a line to the street. I ordered for my family and then moved to the side to wait for my number to be called. In the process of waiting I must say I was extremely impressed how everyone worked hard and processed order like a well oiled machine. The guy on the grill and the guy finishing the orders were amazing. The food was really good. I was surprised how accurate they were considering the volume of orders. Keep up the great work!

TK is nice. Ahi fish sandwich/burger is pretty good, not amazing. The buns are really good. Burgers are always fire. Fries are nice. TK sauce is really good. Sweet potato fries are also good, & I don't typically like them. Good burger spot. Drink selection is pretty typical. I think they charge for ranch/bbq sauce sadly.

Ate here New Years Eve. My husband and I got in line behind a wrestling team-not joking. My husband was like "it's going to take forever, I don't want to have to wait after a 20 person order so he left and went next door to DQ. I refused and stayed in line, I really wanted to try TK. The hilarious part is that our food came out at the same time. He was bummed because my burger and fries were so much better. The burger is bigger than In-N-Out. It's juicy, well cooked and the bun is great I was glad I waited. They have great ranch too. Will definitely be back!

Great burger tonight. Fries were perfect and onion rings were great. This is an update from my last review which I was sad to only give them a few stars but tonight they deserved five stars and they were so busy there was a line out the door down the street and there was only two cooks and they do an amazing job! Locals favorite burger place! One of my favorites. The best deal is their Cheese Burger and fries combo for under $9. Their fries are slight crips and nicely moist and the burger is like a good home made burger! I love this place, been coming here for the past 25 years. The parking sucks, park in the back or down the street but worth it.

Need to get it together over here. I love this place... but it is char BURGER not char fries. Why is there always burned pieces covering my fries? I shouldn't have to pick char pieces off my French fries.. this has been going on for months. I have complained in person once. Maybe change out the fry oil? It's actually gross the fries semi taste like ash.. I had to literally return my last order before this last one because it was covered in char on my fries and then I went to eat the burger and it was rock hard from the bun to the meat. So strange... I want to point out last time I came here about a week ago it was fine. This inconsistency is nothing but frustrating. Let's get it together please guys

Super good and filling burger with fries for less than $10! Can't beat it. Clean, quick and great service.

This place urgently needs to be inspected. The grills are coated in thick, black grease, and the entire kitchen is filthy, covered in layers of oil. The counters where they make the burgers are disgustingly sticky, and the floors are littered with leftover fries and burger scraps that employees are literally stepping on while working. On top of that, the staff's uniforms are incredibly dirty. Honestly, it's a miracle this place hasn't been shut down yet.

I don't understand the draw to this place. Based on the recommendations in here, I decided to try it after hanging out at the beach on Labor Day Monday. The menu is small, so there was hope. You basically walk up to the counter order and when they call your name, you come get your food. I put this seasoning on my french fries but it was really hard to even taste that. I looked at the patty on my burger and it was about the size of something you would get from McDonald's. No taste.. won't be back

Tried this place for the first time and enjoyed it. The service was polite and professional. They were very speedy and the food came out immediately. Enjoyed the Laker game and a nice cold refreshing Coca-Cola. Must come here again and parking around the back.

We were in there for 30 minutes, and I didn't see a single worker wash their hands. California food handling laws state that food items that aren't cooked must be handled with gloves. The cool went from cooking raw meat to touching buns and produce with bare hands. That's cross-contamination. Secondly, food is not to be eaten in the kitchen, yet the cashier was standing around eating fries at the counter. The tables were dirty, the special sauce was empty. Lastly, several days after my visit I was charged $30. I paid menu price for the burger bargain, one LG drink, onion ring, and a cheeseburger. I didn't tip for obvious reasons. Yet, I was charged $30. It's obvious that my receipt was modified. Fortunately, I disputed it with my financial institution and was awarded the money back. Avoid this dirty, unethical place. To be honest after seeing the many reviews I was expecting an amazing burger experience in a hole in the wall. It definitely meets the hole in the wall. But appears unclean hole in the wall as opposed to unique hole in the wall. Also the burger wasnt anything special. It was over cooked and looked like a pre made patty bought in a store in a pack of twelve. I will have to try again with other people and see if the experience is the same.

Let me tell you, you would walk past this place and not think twice. This is one of those places that is a hidden gem. Doesn't look like much on the outside or inside for that matter but the burgers are amazing. I personally love the albums on the walls and old surfing photos but for people who have never been here you would probably keep walking. I'm telling you the food is amazing, the vibe from the staff is always so nice, and there is a reason there is almost always a line out the door. I recommend the Big Bargain Special and don't forget you can add bacon and avocado to any item!

OG burger spot ! If you like flame grilled burgers this is your spot to go. Burgers made fresh on the grill. They have a tk sauce and seasoning that are super good on everything. Their fries are thick cut and cooked perfectly. There is parking on the back side in a small lot.

Absolutely the most delicious burgers! We ate there multiple times when visiting the area for a month. Ambiance is a fun surf vibe. Employees were nice and always helpful in customizing our burgers to accommodate a small dietary restriction.

My favorite place to visit when I'm in town! Always on my list of foods to go back to when I visit from Arizona. The food is delicious. The service is fast. And it's right next to the beach.
