11 Big-Deal Banh Mi in Portland - Eater Portland

"Located on a quiet dead-end street past Pacific Supermarket, TM Banh Mi is a slightly unexpected location for Vietnamese sandwiches. The unassuming takeout spot does have the distinction of being Binh Minh’s Northeast sister location, though, so expect the same quality loaves and a similar selection of sandwiches, with the added bonus of curries and stews on the menu. Similar to Binh Minh, the banh mi are filled modestly to let the bread really shine. Takeout and delivery are available." - Krista Garcia

This place satisfied my craving, and then some! So much better than I anticipated. Bread baked fresh daily at their sister location, meat marinated in house. The baguette is soft with just the right amount of crust. Got the grilled pork and it wasn't too sweet. Talked with the super kind owner, as I was the only customer. She mentioned how they were in the top five banh mi spot in the area last year I think. This place has been around for over 20 years, and they bought it from the original owners two years ago. This place is very cute, very clean and we'll organized. They sell masks, chips, drinks, bubble tea... it's a great spot!

This place has the best banh mi in Portland. Good price, friendly service, and delicious food. I got 2 sandwiches, 2 meat pies, a bbq bao, ice coffee and thai iced tea (which was so good) all for 19 dollars. I bbq pork bao is bigger than pictured, I just ate it before I took a picture.

Delicious and authentic bahn mi and steam buns! Lovely and friendly staff made the visit special, I took their advice on what to order and was very happy I did (#1 and #10). Will be back very soon for lunch, worth the drive I promise!

Great customer service with a friendly smile. Excellent sandwiches, with amazing toasted French bread and ingredients. Try the hot sauce other than the Sriracha available at the tables; you won't regret it. Despite how inexpensive it is, we found everything we tried incredible -- including the pastries (pork buns(?) of phyllo dough and egg rolls), bubble tea, and of course the sandwiches. Not much seating inside, but perfect to take something to go.

The banh mi here are great; the bread is perfect. I always get the grilled pork tho I want to try others! Pay an extra dollar for more meat. The workers (owners?) here are so friendly and nice. I love this place. Good wonton soup too.

I don't know why this place doesn't get more publicity. It's a real gem, tucked away in an easy-to-miss neighborhood. It feels super authentic and the banh minh are the best I've had. (And cost less than $4!) The pork buns are delicious too. I brought a Vietnamese client there for lunch this week and she was super impressed.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Holy Cow! Banh mi and Pho are both incredible. The sandwiches are huge! The flavor of both their pho and their sandwiches is not to be missed. I'm usually there a couple times a week at this point. Check them out!

I love the Vietnamese sandwich tasting great and price doesn't break your wallet. Even now there's a new owner, it maintains taste and improvement on store settings. Great for working class.
