So, I often given restaurants the benefit of the doubt, or more stars to go with service, quality and value as I see it. Even when I give a 5 star review, its rarely just about the food. I am never all that critical of the food. My feeling is that if the food is good and whole scene is worth the trouble of going, I am pretty happy. I am giving this restaurant 5 stars for the food alone. I have loved hot dogs forever. I grew up in NYC and one of the things I miss the most are the hot dog carts at every turn. I have had some great dogs in Chicago and in LA at Pinks, Dirt Dog here in Vegas, but none of them compare to the artistry and flavor of the hot dogs you will find here. I originally read the review in the RJ and made plans to go. I was very skeptical at first, especially when the cook had me trying potato salad at a Hot Dog place. Incredibly the potato salad was also THAT good. Btw, I'm not a potato salad person, more mac salad at best. So the hot dogs? WOW. Its hard to describe perfection. I have only been to 1 other restaurant in my life that had me reacting this way. I quite honestly did not know hot dogs could be this good. My favorite so far are the To Be Frank, the Thai Dog and the Sonora(sp?) with the beans and sour cream. As an asterisk for those who share the same problem, I no longer stomach hot dogs like I used to, as much as I love them going down. These were absolutely no problem. So far I have brought 5 other people with me to try these. They all agree and now have a favorite of their own. The potato salad is a game changer as well. This restaurant could have called itself "To Be Potato Salad" and had the same success. And the Raspberry lemonade that tastes like some mad twist of sweet tarts and limeade blended through berries is also worth the trip. It is freaky good. Like what?!? How is this a flavor?! These are artists. Talk to the owners and you know they love food and worked very hard to perfect literally everything on their small menu of perfection. Don't take my word for it. Its an easy try at $10 to $15 per person depending on what you get.

Had very plain hot dogs with fries. The buns were mind-blowing. Just absolutely excellent. They use a local bakery, and even our order close to 9PM, the buns tasted fresh and delicious. The hot dogs had an amazing snapiness to it. Has a lot of flavour. However, one thing that caught me by surprise were the amazing fries that came with the hot dogs. A real treat. The owner cane out of the kitchen and greeted us. He was obviously very passionate on providing the best hot dog experience possible. He was also very friendly, as were the servers in the tavern. There were a few things to note, that I don't feel are worth knocking a star off, but are worth considering: -When we came late at night, a number of items on their menu were no longer available. If you're looking for more than just a straight hotdog experience, it's definitely worth calling ahead. -The mustard we got with our takeaway was sadly getting old and dried out. Mustard doesn't really expire, so it's easy to see how that can happen, but it was still disappointing. -The online menus never seem to work. Kind of annoying. Really enjoyed my food, though!

Google
The absolute best hot dog in Vegas by a mile. Natural casing hot dogs with gourmet toppings. The potato salad is incredible too!

Yelp
I went down to Water St. in Henderson to get some franks for my family, and this place was non-existent. I even used the Yelp map after I parked and as I walked around... no dice. I tried calling the number, no answer. There was no food, there was no ambiance, there was just.... nothing... but a waste of my time.

Yelp
To Be Frank, I think it's quite catchy I like the name! It's a gourmet hot dog place run by Jordan and Trevor. Business opened in October 2020. As of the moment, they are located in Downtown Las Vegas on Charleston and Maryland, at Lafayette Square inside Every Grain. When I last visited, they were open on a Friday from 5pm to 11pm but it's really best to call and double check their days and hours. Jordan did mentioned about moving to another location possibly in Henderson. The customer service I received is excellent, the owners are welcoming, personable and friendly! Trevor is the main chef for making these flavorful gourmet sausage and hot dogs, while Jordan is upfront managing all of the orders for dine-in and takeout. I had questions about the menu and was given great recommendations on what is popular and which items are a favorite to try. Jordan offered a sample of the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding and it's really good! It's not overly sweet which is great, and it has a shiny and smooth consistency of a lovely silky caramel. I opted for Thai Hot Dog and tried their best seller the Basque Hot Dog. Both are served as gourmet sausage with nice amount of toppings, and taste really good! Also tried a new item that will be added to their menu which is Pork Belly Sandwich topped with a refreshing apple slice, grapefruit, crunchy croutons, and cilantro served in a soft hot dog bun. The sauce is delicious. For the sides, their most popular one is the Potato Salad served hot and savory! It's like a skillet of fried potatoes mixed in a light sauce with diced bacon and scallion or chives. The crunchy texture and food presentation is absolutely unique in a way that I will never look at another potato salad the same again. Their Pickled Jalapeños is another great add on, it's spicy but so good with any gourmet sausage and hot dog. As for drinks, the Hot Chocolate is amazing!!! Jordan is brilliant in combining flavors from Northern Nevada and bringing that to Las Vegas. This wonderful cup of hot chocolate is fantastic, it has a beautiful aromatic blend of pine leaves, juniper, rosemary, and Earl Gray Tea topped with a nice frothy cream, it's so yummy! Seriously, there is no other hot chocolate I know of that is made as good as this! Paul who is one of their regular customer, suggested I try the hot dogs which he says were all good, and I will definitely do so on my next visit!

Yelp
I'm not much of a hot dog or sausage person because most hot dogs out there are not very tasty and full of crap. But To Be Frank has really tasty quality dogs and sausages and they put a lot of thought into their toppings. My favorite is the Thai sausage and their name sake To be Frank hot dog. Their pork belly sandwich is da bomb. You also have to get their roasted potato salad. So delicious. The owners and chefs are also the nicest people and customer service is a 10. They are now going to be moving into a more permanent location. So they are closing temporarily because they were using a space in Every Grain restaurant. So can't wait for their permanent space.

Yelp
Debuted October 2nd out of Every Grain, To Be Frank seeks to capitalize on the increasingly common idea of "ghost kitchens," and like many businesses making their way in the era of COVID-19 their shared space seeks to minimize overhead costs while providing diners with familiar Food served safely at a fair price. Headed by the mother and son team of Robin and Jordan Camacho, their Sound Food Group recently detailing several upcoming plans in the city of Las Vegas, it is via delivery and contactless pickup that guests are invited to order one of eleven signature Dogs or Sausages Monday through Saturday beginning at 5:00pm. Tabbing Trevor Garrett as Executive Chef, his training and Jordan's travels the inspiration behind Hot Dogs featuring Nueske's Pork on locally made Lobster Rolls, it is via direct online ordering or all the familiar Apps that options are perused, everything from the "Classic" to Chorizo emanating out of Northern Nevada attesting to careful souring and the utmost respect for products. Not afraid to cast a wide net, though not exactly a "something for everyone" spot as Vegans, Vegetarians or those eschewing Pork are limited to only Desserts and a handful of Sides, it is within one bite that attuned eaters will appreciate the Encased Meat's quality, its snap evident whether naked or entirely hidden save for ends hanging off either side of the toasty buttered Bun. Starting first with Franks, housemade Sauerkraut and a Mustard-based Condiment called Goldenaise topping To Be Frank's eponymous item, ideas range from the Pacific Northwest's herbaceous Cream Cheese to a modified "Sonora Dog," unwrapped and not fried but featuring Onions, Green Chili Sauce, Pico de Gallo and Pinto Beans. Next treating the classic Chili Dog to Texas style Chili and Cheddar, then going international by way of funky Kimchi and Soy, fans of Banh Mi can get their fix via Pork Pate and Cilantro while a Philly "wit" piles on Sauteed Peppers and Onions plus housemade Wiz. Not about to overlook $10 Sausages, aforementioned Chorizo channeling Northern Spain with Espelette Pepper balanced by sweetened Dijon, fans of Mediterranean flavors will find plenty in aromatic Loukaniko Sausage topped in Feta and Olives while To Be Frank's star may just be the texturally compelling "Thai" placing Papaya Salad and Peanuts atop excellent Isaan Sausage. Familiar but far from boring, Slaw without much Mayo likely To Be Frank's most basic item, Fried Potato Salad is a total game changer with crispy bits of Bacon harkening "loaded" Skins while Desserts including creamy Peanut Pudding and Short Bread slighted as "Sugar Cookies" are also delicious, the latter particularly as dunked in tangy Raspberry Curd.

Yelp
I had decided to postpone my review until we tried everything on the menu and now I can finally lay it out there: There is literally not one bad thing on the menu. You know how a lot of dog/sausage places usually just throw toppings on a Bar S Jumbo Frank and call it a day? That's not the case here. The Thai dog is the perfect example. You gloss over the description and go "Okay, cool. Onions, peanuts, and papaya. I guess that makes it Thai themed." Then you bite into it. You come to the realization that it's not a normal sausage they used. "Why is it slightly sour?" "This sausage isn't just meat?" This is when they won me over. They used an actual Thai sausage that you'd find in an authentic Thai recipe. They did their research. They found a way to incorporate authentic flavors into something a broader audience could enjoy. They didn't just draw some Thai themed ingredients from a hat and pat themselves on the back. This, to me, is what makes their menu great, and why they're one of the best (not just hot dog) places in the city.

Yelp
Came in to try this hot dog spot, it's not a conventional place for sure, it's actually sharing the space with a day-time restaurant. But once you get in, you just pick a dog from the menu (and their homemade lemonade!) and go to town. We got the Sonoran Dog, and the Basque. The Sonoran was good and packed with great ingredients, but that Basque dog. (Chef Kissing Hand Motion) The actual sausage for the Basque is made in-house and it's so packed with Flavour®! You need to make this a stop next time you're about to get trashed at your favorite bar! Just don't try to eat it while you're driving, because you're in for a mess if you do

Lucinda C.

Yelp
Great place for anyone want something creative! Their dog is pretty tasty. Class hot dog is good as well.

James A.

Yelp
Awesome place, Delicious franks!!! Highly recommend trying this place out if your in the mood for some hotdogs

Jenny W.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the different hot dogs that I tried. The quality of the hot dogs, the bread and the fun toppings make for a really fun and yummy experience. The Basque is my favorite with the chorizo, the fried shallots and chives. The cookie with the raspberry dip is great. The banh mi hot dog with all the toppings and the pate spread is delicious. It's very well balanced and the pate is completely mixed in with the mayo. The Thai hot dog with the Issan sausage was delicious. It tasted like nem kao tod transformed into a hot dog. For a drink, I tried the raspberry apple limeade, the cherry limeade and enjoyed both. I also enjoyed the peanut banana pudding. The time I did pick-up I really enjoyed the chips and dip.

Yelp
Food was HORRIBLE!! Ordered through Door Dash half the order was missing! I paid $43.24 for two hot dogs and a chili cheese for these geniuses to forget 1 hot dog! The food looked like vomit once it arrived! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE FOR THIS TRASH!! That's exactly where the wrong order went!!! Thank

Dee T.

Yelp
Dope concept, friendly staff and amazing food! Both dogs we tried, the Philly and Thai, had an unbelievable snap to them! I do wish the Thai dog was a tad larger though. It was so good that It was gone to fast! I will definitely be back to try the other dogs and desserts next!

Noemi V.

Yelp
To be frank the service was amazing very pleased with the team and helpful in my needs. Every hot dogs Has his own flavor this is the way what hot dogs should be

Yelp
Yet another fantastic addition to the ever expanding Arts District/Huntridge area. This up and coming neighborhood always has a new gem opening every week and To Be Frank is no exception. To Be Frank is running a ghost kitchen in the evenings for delivery and pick up only inside Every Grain which is open for breakfast and lunch. But hopefully we'll see something more permanent from this venture in the near future. This is an idea spot to get some munchies after you've been enjoying the libations of downtown hot spots. The variety and quality of gourmet dogs is delightful and will satisfy the culinary traditionalist as well as those who are more adventurous. I tried the Sonoran Dog with caramelized onions and pinto beans, a great combination for those with a hankering for southwest flavors. But my favorite was the Kimchi Dog that had a great balance of texture from the cabbage and that slight sour bite and heat of the kimchi and goldenaise. Another star of their hot dog is the bun, which TBF is having made just for them. It's like having Texas toast wrapped around your dog. That crispy toasted outside with luscious light bready inside only enhances the high quality of their franks. Also worth a shout out is their revival of an a amazing French onion dip that you can order as a side to eat with your Tim's Chips. And don't get me started on their homemade TBF Cheese Whiz...I'm addicted. I can't wait to go back and try some new styles and support a new local joint!

Tanya S.

Yelp
The food was so delicious we had to try almost every dog on the menu! PNW was my favorite. Hands down the best potato salad and coleslaw I've ever had. Great service!

Cathy H.

Yelp
Delicious! Haven't tried anything I would not get again. Every topping makes sense. Nothing is gimmicky or just for the gram

Louise T.

Yelp
Once you've tried the sausages they have at this place it will be hard for you to eat sausages someplace else. They set the bar pretty high! With all those amazing flavor twist they put together for their sausage with their perfectly toasted buns. The menu they have is enough to taste different flavors around the world. Get the thai or basque from their menu can't go wrong!

Sheridan S.

Yelp
To Be Frank is the newest gem in Downtown Las Vegas. I have enjoyed most of the menu so far. While everything is delicious, I keep going back for the Basque Chorizo, the Banh Mi Dog and Potato Salad. The potato salad is quite different from any other potato salad. It's a must try. TBF is run by Jordan & Trevor, a couple of the best guys you'll find in this business...make sure you stop by and say hi to them. I'll be going back for the Greek Dog and the rest of the menu.

Marisol G.

Yelp
AN ABSOLUTE GEM!!! Great service, AMAZING FOOD, and the BEST hot chocolate. A treasure for downtown, everything that comes out of that establishment is a 10/10.

Mark D.

Yelp
Your food was over salted. It's a hot dog. If your gonna salt the fries you may try not to salt the dogs. Got my order Wrong. Tried calling only a answering machine told you what I thought of your crap food never heard back. From the reviews only your friends eat there . FOOD SUCKED enough that GrubHub refuned my total cost. I threw everything in the garbage you suck

Lisa J.

Yelp
Great new place to try out! My family ordered a variety of their hot dogs and were so impressed with the quality, taste and variety. My favorite was the Greek followed closely by the Chili dog. The buns they use are so fresh and yummy. Their potato salad is amazing and their hummus, cheez whiz and French onion dips are also really good. I haven't had a chance to try their dessert yet but that is next on my list because they all sound delicious. This is a hidden gem for dinner, sharing space with Every Grain which is open during the day for breakfast and lunch. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Simon T.

Yelp
Decided to make an account simply to review this place. Heard about it from a friend that wouldn't stop yapping about it so I decided to give it a whirl. SO WORTH IT!!! Insanely good flavor and unique twists on the simply yet classic hot dog. I've had Sonoran dogs in Arizona and they nailed the flavors here. TRY the Basque dog, you'll be missing out if you don't. Side dishes are super tasty and a welcome addition when you're used to just getting a dog or two. I'm not 100% sure but I bet if Elvis were still alive and rolling through Vegas he'd eat here. Just sayin'. To Be Frank should definitely be on your list to try and frequent often.

JM L.

Yelp
To Be Frank is Amazing! We had the Greek sausage and the Basque frank, Both are delicious. The potato salad and cole slaw are divine. I highly recommend the Greek sausage and potato salad, they are my favorites. The service is fantastic. Their staff is personable and very attentive. We can't wait to go back!

Michelle E.

Yelp
Just too many favorites to list just one! Came in for a soft opening sampler of the menu and was blown away by the creativity and decadence of a hot dog. It doesn't stop with the dogs, the sides and dips are delish and the strawberry lemonade so yummy. I'll be back soon!

Tony B.

Yelp
Another reason to love downtown Las Vegas. To Be Frank is my favorite type of local restaurant: owned by local chefs who broke free from high-end kitchens on the strip, bringing a gourmet touch to food that people who live here can actually afford to eat. The type of place with a small menu that focuses on doing one thing and doing it to perfection. In this case, that one thing is making amazing dogs and sausages. I've tried about half the menu so far and I'd recommend all of it. Standouts are the Thai Dog and the Basque Dog, both of which live up to their names and make you feel like you're eating that cuisine in hot dog form. The Potato Salad is amazing and is a must try. Looking forward to trying the other half of the menu!

Vincent R.

Yelp
Great quality here! Loved the service and the food. We had everything on the menu and its all amazing. Our favorite is the potato salad. This is a must visit for any hot dog lovers out there.

Bianca B.

Yelp
The hot dogs are so so delicious!! And kimchi relish is amazing with the hot dog! 10/10! Thank you To Be Frank! Will definitely be back!

dennis l.

Yelp
This is the best hot dog I ever had. Both times I've been there, they had amazing services and food. Hope to see this place to go big

Paul A.

Yelp
I can be a bit of a hot dog snob and this is by far and wide the best hot dog place in Vegas. Natural casing dogs that snap! Quality toppings that aren't just greasy like some other places in town. Not a single bad item on the menu. And not just hot dogs and sausages. The potato salad is hands down one of the best things I've ever had.
