FOOD IS TASTELESS, PORTION SIZE IS SMALL, I PAID $18 FOR A PINT OF TASTELESS BROTH & STINKY SHRIMP BALLS, STRING BEANS ARE BLAND & OVERCOOKED!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY I PAID EXTRA FOR A GINGER VINAIGRETTE THAT I DIDN'T RECEIVE . EVEN THOUGH I CALLED THE RESTAURANT TO ENSURE ITS A LARGE BROTH THEY STILL SENT ME A PINT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 SO UPSET & DISAPPOINTED

Google
The Dimsun was good but the table service was horrible. The restaurant was understaffed, with only two waitresses, and the staff was not so friendly. I didn't have a good experience. We ordered everything at once. The food service took a really long time to get, over 15 minutes between some dumplings. They forgot some of our orders. No one checked on us. It took forever to get the check, and then they never came back for the payment, lol. It was one strange experience. The dumplings tasted great. I was surprised to see the variety this place had. What we had was great We all loved the food. It was a shame about the service.

My favorite go-to Dim Sum place in Broward! I’ve been coming here for years and usually come on Sundays for brunch. Love the large variety of Dim Sum and dishes! Unlike other Dim Sun places that pass with carts, here you order first and everything gets delivered to your table, which I personally prefer! The noodle dishes here are amazing and I love the portions! Servers are very friendly and always accommodating if I want to substitute something in a dish or want recommendations. Highly recommend this place!

Google
Unfortunately, my dim sum experience here was underwhelming. While the items tasted handmade, the flavors just didn’t hit the mark—bland and lacking the depth you’d expect from good dim sum. The long wait time only added to the disappointment, and by the time the food arrived, it didn’t feel worth it. Overall, not the best option if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful dim sum.

Google
Cozy place to eat, great selection of foods and filled with what seems like regulars. For the first time having dim sum, I was impressed. It was also my first time trying out the egg tarts, I'm glad I waited to have them. It was really good and I'm obsessed. The atmosphere was calm and the staff seem very close. They all ate together at a table at some point while we were there. Will go back, get better pics. Ordered: Steamed BBQ Pork Bun Steamed Chicken Feet Pan Fried Dumpling Egg Custard Tart Chinese Mustard Greens Stir Fried String Beans Rangoon House Special Pan Fried Noodles Singapore Rice Noodles Beef Plate?

Google
This little gem , makes the fried pan noodles I love, great taste, very nice lady took my order , and it was ready quick.

My family and I went back again for dinner tonight. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The lobster with ginger and scallions was phenomenal!! The service is always good!! They make you feel like family!

Google
This place probably has the best dimsum in Broward County. Which is not saying much, but the price is decent too. The service was pretty good. They might need a better selection, and they were out of a lot of things. There is no chrysanthemum tea, which was a downer.

Yelp
A great sit down DIM SUM and CHINESE food restaurant Great food. Comfortable seating and ample parking. The menus are translated to English

Yelp
No comment, I don't recommend. Their food are not authentic, and we did not have a good experience.

Yelp
Let me start with the positive. The restaurant has a good selection of dumplings. We came for dumplings for the Chinese New Year. They have a separate menu just for them with pictures. We ordered around ten different types of them, and everything tasted great. We were happy with the food. This was my first time here. The service food service was very slow and service not so friendly. More than half of the dumplings we ordered came at once. One more came fifteen minutes after we were done with the first round, and they forgot the last two orders, lol. We asked for the check and they forgot us again lol, no one came back. We paid at the front. After listening to the local customers there talk. It seems that slow service is a thing here. The place was low-staffed. They had only two waitresses working. If you don't mind the long wait. The food is good here.

Yelp
We've been loyal Toa Toa customers for the past 26 years. Yes, the décor is outdated and the service is suspect, but the food never disappoints. Toa Toa has great dim sum, the best we've tried in Florida by far. Don't expect the classic rolling cart experience; Toa Toa is strictly a-la-carte. These are our favorite dim sum items: stuffed tofu, deep fried shrimp dumpling, shrimp taro, and the stuffed bean curd skin. Additionally, their House Special Pan Fried Noodles is excellent. I've had better Dim Sum in other states and in Asia, but Toa Toa reigns supreme in Florida, as far as I'm concerned.

Yelp
Toa Toa is a local Chinese restaurant located in Sunrise. I've heard about its dim sum and finally got to try it! Inside is that of a small quaint Chinese restaurant. The service is quick and waitresses polite The dim sum itself is pretty good, my favorite dish was the Chinese broccoli - the sauces and garlic mixed so well and wasn't overpowering, the taste was so savory. The other dim sum items I had were items I typically enjoy, and while that may seem like nothing special, in reality it's quite the opposite. In South Florida I can only count on a couple of restaurants that are able to really serve good dim sum, and I'd consider this restaurant making that list. Worth a try if you're in the area!

Yelp
Long story short- the closest to authentic Dim Sum Iv come across. The best place to gather for a family style meal. My favorites are the bbq buns, lotus sticky rice, sesame balls, Chinese mustard greens & beef congee. Please go & thank me later!
google avatar

Yelp
The Beef Chow Fun was great however, the rest of the dim sum items were... not bad but not great either... Cheong Fun noodles were quite thick. Sticky rice had minced pork instead of chicken. Service was great. Hot tea was rather flavorless. The place wasn't busy and appeared clean.

John M.

Yelp
The food was subpar. Not fresh the chicken had consistency of jerky or old leftovers the seafood congee was watered down with hardly any seafood. The sue mei dim sum both chicken and beef were tasteless and mushy as well as the stuffed eggplant. this was an Uber eats order. this restaurant used to be really good and I understand that it's very difficult to be profitable in the restaurant business today however, you cannot present food of this low quality and remain in business. I know it's tough to balance price and quality clearly to me the quality of food at this restaurant is low. as stated this was a takeout order. There were no condiments, chopsticks, napkins, or utensils we will stick to China pavilion in Pembroke Pines for authentic Chinese food and quality dim sum

Yelp
It's been a while since I've eaten here, but it's Christmas and we ordered delivery and it did not disappoint. We had a fabulous dinner. We ordered wonton soup, fried rice, all sorts of delicious dumplings, pork buns, general chao chicken , tarot pancakes and everything was fresh and hot and so good. Mustard greens were also tasty. Now we want to go in person and enjoy the ambience and dim sum experience .
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent Dim Sum, charged $2.95 for Chinese noodles on the table. Probably won't go back

Jamiee C.

Yelp
Closet thing for NY Chinese food..the flavor in everything was amazing and the fact that I had this delivered 25 minutes away and it all still came hot was very impressive. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Yelp
Incredible dim sum!!! Everything was super fresh and very tasty. We enjoyed stir fried string beans, spring roll, shrimp dumpling, smashed red bean pancake, and shrimp taro. We came here after seeing it featured on Check Please! Highly recommend you come, and come hungry!

Yelp
Was down South today, so we (my daughter & I) decided to try Toa Toa. Located in Plantation, just off of Pine Island. Really friendly staff, the owner is a quite affable fellow. We had, Shiu Mai, Har Kow, XLB, Fried Taro, Fried Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls, and Hong Kong Wonton Noodle soup. Reasonably priced, nice staff, I'd go back if in the area, but wouldn't take the trip just have Dim Sum there! Good place, if you're local, make it your go to!

Yelp
Will not accept credit cards. Says the machine is "broken" but this is the third time in 4 weeks. The food and service is OK but bring your wallet and cash!.

Yelp
This venue has been a family favorite for years and it has not disappoint. Came here with a friend. The decor has changed inside a bit and the change is very nicely done. Service was excellent with the manager coming over chatting us up about the dim sum lunch. Let's just say the food was delicious; didn't even have time to take a picture of the food before it went into my tummy; yum. I didn't even make it to my nephew's birthday dinner because I was so full lol. Only meal of the day for me, that's how good the food was.

Yelp
Our first dim sum experience was a success! Not knowing what exactly to order, we got a bit of everything. The service was quick and the team very friendly. My favorite item by far were the steamed pork buns. The dough was a bit sweet and the pork had solid, savory barbecue sauce. The decor will not impress you, but this place is all about the food.

Yelp
Definitely more of a 3.5 than 4 review. Recently got some dimsum to go from family here and while it was good I think I will be sticking to my normal dimsum place a little down the road, this was good but nothing memorable. The reason I'm not giving it 3 stars is because the staff was super friendly and the food was hot and ready when we received it from the restaurant. We got some steamed pork buns, shrimp dumplings, pork shumai, and fried shrimp balls. The steamed pork bunsnwere amazing and the stickiness of the buns were nice and squishy in a great way. The shrimp dumplings were decent but the filling was a little too fishy for me and my wife's taste. The shumai had a nice flavor but for me, the pork seemed a little too chewy and I only had a couple of them before setting them off to the side. The fried shrimp balls are totally different than the ones from other places but it didn't matter because these had some amazing flavor to it, probably my favorite of the plates. The restaurant itself was very nice and themed like many other restaurants of this kind around. The staff was friendly and the food was quick and hot. Overall the food was good for some plates and average for others so I probably won't come back here if I'm not in desperate mood for dimsum. Prices were very good as well!

Yelp
The food, the ambiance and most of all the stand up comedy done by our waiter William. I enjoyed some dim sum along with the meal I had which was shrimp and scallops in a white sauce. Everything was delicious.

Yelp
Great service. Authentic Dim Sum. All the food is made to order. One of my top favorite Dim Sum places in S Florida. A true hidden gem.
google avatar

Chauncey C.

Yelp
honestly, for all of the chinese food that exists in south florida, this place is easily the best. can't really find anything close around here. you might not love every item on the menu, but im glad they exist and they deserve the business of the local clientele looking for authentic chinese / dim sum. always extremely attentive service and the dining room itself is what youd find at any classical dim sum style restaurant across the world

Yelp
I was in need of some dim sum in my life and this place was on my list. My family and I were near by, so we decided to stop in. Unfortunately this place did not meet my expectations. My daughter and wife had to use the bathroom before we ate and they both came out questioning if we should eat here. We went against our best judgment and decided to stay. For me personally I did not gauge the food to be fresh or tasty. This also seemed to be priced higher than other dim sum restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Great food Fantastic service Wonderful menu choices I highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
pains me to write this but this was probably the worst dim sum experience i've ever had. the service was not an issue, they were quite attentive. it was 7pm monday and we were the only table so they were always filling waters and checking on us. the place was a typical chinese place. round tables and benches, fish tanks that were empty. nothing out of the ordinary. it wasn't fancy, just casual. but the food was pretty bad. the har gow completely fell apart when we went to grab it, indicating it was overcooked or poorly made. shu mei was okay but not super flavorful. beef chow fun just tasted like oil. potstickers had thick skin and were just unpleasant. i didn't get any boba but all of the ones that did complained it was powdery. baked bbq pork buns were okay. good, definitely not the best. chicken feet were alright, flavorful but not super tender. the things we liked were the clams, the string beans, and the shrimp rice roll. all pretty good but not good enough to warrant revisiting. overall everything tasted just like oil which wasn't pleasant.

Krystin R.

Yelp
I ordered takeout, I wasn't impressed. I don't know if the quality of the food wasn't good because they were close to closing (8 pm, they closed at 8:30), but I didn't enjoy it at all. I ordered general tso's chicken, it tasted strange, and was really sweet. It came with white rice and seemed expensive for what it was ($18.95) The spice choices were mild, medium and extra spicy. I chose medium and it was extremely sweet. I also ordered the baked bbq pork buns, that was inedible. They were dry, and one of them didn't even have a filling.

Yelp
So glad I found this dim sum Chinese restaurant. Everything I ordered was delicious and well prepared. Definitely worth the trip to get here.

Briana R.

Yelp
There is nothing a customer could do that would warrant the tone and aggressiveness that was displayed towards me today. As a black woman with a black child who has frequented this establishment for about 4 years, the way we were treated today was unacceptable. I was spoken down to, berated in a different language and English, and then demanded I pay a tip for service she didn't provide. By the end of end I tipped the team $12 but I want to make something very clear. If you are willing to yell and berate customers over a tip after NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY BY CARD OR CASH (Zelle only) you have a serious flaw in your business system. To everyone who looks like me, please be mindful of this place. I told them today would be the last day they would get my dollar so I'd just like to spread the concern.

Yelp
Love this place for the dim sum great food and a lovely gentleman who must own it They have sesame balls which I love

Somnus C.

Yelp
Taste extremely bad and the service is extremely poor. The worker is very racist. I had to raise my hand for 10min for him to come over, and he saw me entire time. But he was ignoring me and it was not busy. There was only one other customer. And give me wrong order multiple time.
google avatar

Yelp
I picked up from this restaurant a couple times and only had their dimsum. When picking up the service was easy and fast. The buns and dumplings have been good everytime. They also have red chili oil on the side and homemade duck sauce which is delicious with dimsum. Additionally they have a pretty good dimsum menu. I have to try their Chinese food and dine in one day.

South B.

Yelp
Went for dim sum. Very disappointed also order a noodle dish that was recommended by server ( " only this restaurant makes these special noodles"). I ate the meat and vegetables- the noodles were really hard and gummy we ordered four dim sum items left two items that were inedible Service was scarce Ambiance restaurant was very run down and shabby. Don't plan to go back
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered from here several times from delivery and really loved the food. Salt and pepper shrimp is to die for!
google avatar

Yelp
I've reviewed this place in the past and was very disappointed over the last several weeks several friends have ordered in from this place and I tried it I have to say it was good My wife and I recently on a Saturday night went and had dinner there The dim sum was excellent I have to say that the steamed pork bun is amazing had the chicken and garlic and eggplant dish and I was very happy this place gets five stars from me and my wife glad this local Chinese restaurant is back
google avatar

Nina S.

Yelp
This place has had its ups and downs just like any business. Although some plate sizes are smaller and all plates are more expensive (about 30% more) the dim sum is still delish. Highly recommend the Shrimp Dumpling, Shumai, Shrimp Taro, Stuffed Taro, and String Beans. I have fond memories of being here as a young girl with my mom and aunties.

Yelp
We were happy this venue was open since they closed due to the BIG COVID shutdown! A sign on the restaurants window pointed to a new side entrance which was locked. We rang the buzzer. The funny male server who is always joking, pleasantly greeted and seated us. When we entered what was once a very large open dining room, was now half its size. A partition separated it into what looks like two rooms. Once we were seated, our waiter quickly took our Dim Sum Order. Although most of their food is pretty good, our standard is ordering from the Dim Sum Menu. We ordered our favorite Pork Pastry Buns, Mustard Greens, Wonton Soup, Stuffed Eggplant and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. Most plates have three Dim Sum. If you order a few of the variety offered, you should be able to make an enjoyable meal out of it. We did.
google avatar

Gabriela L.

Yelp
Usually this place is amazing. It is always good and fresh! But today it tasted not fresh, not right, and missed one of our orders! The customer service was pretty good the waiter is funny to the customer. They have a variety of foods. Dim sum is good but not the same. Restaurant has bright lightning, no wait, no music but does have lots of decorations. Overall it was alright could've been better from what I have had in the past.

Bella W.

Yelp
Authentic Dim Sum Best place I've tried in a long time! 10/10 food (list of items eaten below). Also, our servers and manager kept checking on our table to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall, very wonderful experience, I would recommend! - Har Gow - BBQ beef bun - Egg Tarts - Rice noodle with shrimp - Rice noodle with pork - Soy Sauce chow mein
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
The restaurant is located kind of in the back corner of a plaza. As you walk in, you'll notice the place is dated, small and uncomfortably warm inside. They don't have a push cart, it's all ordered from a typical dim sum list. Variety of items were good and they offered items other places didn't. As for the quality of the dishes, it was unfortunately more misses than hits. Overall service was good but there are definitely better options down there for dim sum.
google avatar

Jeanet T.

Yelp
I little pricey but the food is pretty good . The waitress was very friendly. I definitely will be recommending this restaurant.
google avatar

Barbara M.

Yelp
The service was just the worst that has been experienced in many years. We were a group of 11 people with a reservation. The waitress gave only 2 menus and we had to request more. We ordered our meals and the soup and appetizers arrived at the same time. There was no time for eating either without having everything get cold. I asked that they give us time in between courses. Wow, that was a mistake. From then on in, it was 15 minutes in between each person being served. Each of us got their meal singly, not as a group. By the time the last 2 were served many were finished, The last 2 meals were cold, but, sadly, we were afraid to ask for them to be redone. The staff was totally unresponsive to empty water, tea, and condiments even after we asked several times. The place was not busy, just lacking in efficiency. Never again! Tip was added to each check and we were charged 1.50 each for tea! Some never asked for tea. You must double check the checks. The tip was totally not what was deserved for the lack of service.
google avatar

Michael Y.

Yelp
What happened? This was my favorite Dim Sum and now it's absolutely horrible. Someone told me they have new owners again, I guess this is the third group. They are using old stale oil for the fried products - disgusting. I won't be back, you have ruined the one decent Chinese restaurant in Broward
google avatar

Max D.

Yelp
The service is good but the food price is high for dim sum. We came here and ordered Beef Plate which about $10 for the first time. I don't see any beef at all. If you surcharge the food more then you should put more beef on that plate. Will never come back for the food. Price went up but the food is not even meet the quality Disappointed

Ray G.

Yelp
Dim sum is good. But quality has gone downhill. It's always been not the nicest restaurant but lately it has become really filthy. Kinda gross being inside. Too bad.
google avatar

Manuel B.

Yelp
First time here on a neighbor's recommendation. Went for pick up, very attentive service, large clean dining room from what I could see. The steamed dumplings had a little too much ginger and the wrapper was very thick. The beef shu mai was also heavy on the ginger but tasty. I had shrimp in lobster sauce, it was good however the fried rice was different, I know Chinese restaurants have different versions. It came with a hot and sour soup which was good and an egg roll which was ok. My spouse had the General Taos chicken she said it was ok. Might return to dine in and try other offerings.
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
We've been order take out via Uber from this restaurant for few times. Some of the items are consistent and some aren't. Last night will be our last time ordering from Here. The egg tarts are excellent, fried rice was too dry and no flavor. The soup taste like dish soap that we had to throw away. Both my wife and I got upset stomach today from last nights dinner. Very disappointed, will not eat here anymore.
google avatar

Nathan D.

Yelp
have wanted to check them out for some time and finally did. ordered from the dim sum menu. Ordered the stir fried vegetables, thin sliced bbq pork, steamed pork buns, and backed pork buns. Everything was really good. Portion sizes were also much larger than i expected. I couldn't even finish the meal... so they will be happily consumed as leftovers later.
google avatar

Iñaki R.

Yelp
Stopped in for some Dim Sum and did not disappoint. Will come again and try some of the soups they have.

Yelp
So I have been to Toa Toa Chinese multiple times in the past. This place offers Dim Sum, American Chinese and many Traditional Chinese menu items as well. Being from Asian descent I find myself descending upon Asian food a lot(see what I did there?). You really can't go wrong here at all. I truly enjoy the Pork Siu Mai, Egg Drop Soup Mix w/ Wontons, the ribs, and Mongolian Beef. Shrimp Hargow is a big hit for me and my wife of course ALWAYS has to get the Honey Garlic Chicken. I will say the Fried Rice is ok here but the multiple noodle dishes here are outstanding. Alright guys, that's all for now. After you eat here, feel free to go over to LA Fitness and sign up lol.

Adriana T.

Yelp
One of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. The food is top notch and fresh. I highly recommend it to anybody.
google avatar

Jay M.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this restaurant. But my experience is more than disappointing. We placed our order (about 14 items) and waited for 20 min before the 1st item to arrive. And in the next hour we received 8 items in total. We were expecting quicker service because it's dim sum but we're very disappointed by the speed of service. But speed was not the only issue. The food itself was not as good as I was expecting. The string beans were undercooked. The beef ball has this spice that gives it a strong taste. And even the steamed ribs, the staple dish, tastes bad. We had to cancel the rest of the order; but they spent 10 min on the bill and gave me the bill with items we didn't received. I let one of the server know, but she past the bill to someone else and they charged us anyways. After telling the server the bill was incorrect, they spent another 10 min correcting the bill. At this point my patience is running out from the slow service, bad food and incompetence of the staff, so I did not leave a tip on purpose to make a point. Btw, during the entire process the server is standing above me looking at me sign. She did not just leave the bill there. But I didn't care, I put 0 on the tip line because of the extremely bad service. To top it off, the server chased after me to outside of the restaurant and confronted me why I didn't leave a tip! Seriously??!! With that service and food and attitude? I should've leave a $0.01 tip to make my point very very clear!! Never again will I step foot in this restaurant and I will make it clear so that other customers will not be experiencing the same thing we experienced. Below is a pic of the food. As you can see, we can't even finish the food that was delivered to us because the taste is just not as good as I had expected.
