Google
We had such a great experience at Toast All Day in Charleston! The pancakes were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted fluffy and full of flavor. We also had the ham, cheddar, and bacon omelet, which was absolutely amazing. And don’t even get me started on the salted caramel latte…umm, umm good! Our server Anabelle made the experience even better. She was so attentive, friendly, and full of personality. You can tell she genuinely enjoys connecting with her customers. Top-notch service all around. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
I had the biscuits and gravy and it was good, but not great. The gravy was a bit too thick and sticky. The scrambled egg was cold, but I didn't care too much. I've had it better other places. The fruit bowl was delicious. Service was great and it was reasonably priced. I would go back and try something different.

Google
Ryan was such a rockstar. He gave great recommendations and was super friendly. He made our birthday breakfast even more special. The food was also fantastic!!

Google
Food and service were exceptional. Best she crab soup ever! Peach stuffed French toast was a special treat. KC is a delight! She exudes authentic southern hospitality!

Google
This was the best meal I had in Charleston! This was a very cute, quaint place right on Meeting Street. My husband and I arrived at 11am and we're seated right away. Caitlyn was our server and she did an amazing job! My husband got a BLT with a fried green tomato and fries. I got the shrimp and crab omelette with grits and a biscuit. The omelette and biscuit were both huge! The omelette was absolutely delicious. Normally I have to add butter and salt to my grits but these were perfect without adding anything. The inside of the biscuit was great, but the outside was too hard for my liking. If I lived in Charleston I would get this meal regularly. It was great!! I would highly recommend Toast! All Day to anyone visiting Charleston.

Google
The service in this restaurant is stellar. They found out my boyfriend’s birthday was in a couple days, and treated it like it WAS the day. Went above and beyond. I recommend the shrimp and grits, as well as their beignets. We plan to come back tomorrow, haha.

Google
We celebrated our 20th anniversary, having breakfast at Toast. We sat outside in the beautiful weather and had the most delightful server. It just so happened that they were celebrating their twenty fifth fear in business as well. What made this special for us is that on our honeymoon, we had our first dinner together at a restaurant named Toast. Finding this little gem of a restaurant, Helped bring us full circle. We highly recommend you visit this place and sit outside, if the weather is nice.

Google
The server Ellie was very friendly and super sweet. Very timely and attentive. The pig candy is some of the best I’ve ever had. It was sweet but had a spicy kick. The peach stuffed french toast (should be renamed to French loaf) it was so big and was fantastic. We split it. Highly recommend eating on the sidewalk and enjoy the people watching when dining. Cheers

Yelp
We are here Thursday morning and got sat right away. We tried to different Bloody Mary's and they were good and had their own unique flavors to them. The bacon had a nice "candy" flavor to it that when you took a bite from it, it was sweet but yet spicy from the bloody. The New Orleans Beignets are a must! They are a local favorite and we could see why. I would highly recommend getting one (or two) to start your meal off. The crab cake Benny was ok. Still tasted good just not my cup of tea. The crab cake was a little too "thick" for my liking but overall it was still a good dish. The peach stuffed French toast was also good. If you order it be aware that it is a large piece of bread. See picture. Overall a great experience! Would recommend to anyone if they need a good breakfast before their day of exploring Charleston!

Yelp
First, this place came highly recommended by a friend, so when I arrived and had the experience I did, I was greatly disappointed. My party of seven arrived early morning. The restaurant was empty, so we were seated quickly. Our server was nice and took our drink order to allow time to browse the menu. I went with the pancakes based off pictures I had seen. After a long wait, our food finally came to the table. My food was cold and the only reason I didn't ask for it to be remade was because of time. One co-worker's food came out after everyone else's and she gave me her single pancake. At least it came out hot, right off the griddle. There was no butter and I had to ask for syrup. About the best thing going was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Definitely not the restaurant's best showing. As a breakfast lover, it was a bit of a letdown. *Update* three of my colleagues took ill after eating here. So add that to the dissatisfaction.

Yelp
The food was cold and we waited for over an hour before our food was delivered. Manager did comp a portion of the meal but we should have not had to pay for anything. Bad service and management was not genuinely interested in restoring good will. The ambience was decent based on the location. It's off one of the main streets in town so there's a lot of foot traffic. The hostess was pleasant and our waitress was off to a good start. As the experience went on, it seemed to get worse. We had to repeat our orders since our waitress misplaced the paper our orders were written on. Incorrect orders were brought to the table. I would not consider eating at the restaurant again. And I will say, despite my experience I still managed to tip our waitress 20%

Yelp
First time visiting in Charleston and stopped by Toast for breakfast. We had the fried green tomatoes which were amazing! We also ordered the peach stuffed French toast and the blue crab and shrimp omelette. Both were very delicious. The omelette came with oven fried potatoes and we added fried onions and green peppers. Everything was so delicious! Service was excellent and our server was very friendly. It wasn't crowded and the restaurant was very clean. They offer outdoor street dining or their back patio so there is plenty of room. Highly recommend Toast for breakfast or brunch.

Yelp
Johnna our server was great!! Our breakfast was excellent and appreciated the warm hospitality Johnna provided. Shout out to Johnna!!!

Yelp
Unfortunately, this restaurant was not off to a great start by the cleanliness of it. The tables and floors were sticky, stained, and dirty. The bathrooms were not very pleasant. Menus were dirty. The cleanliness of a restaurant is extremely important and should exceed standards, but Toast didn't even meet a standard for cleanliness in my opinion. The food was okay. Neither of us loved the eggs. The waffle was very good but I am surprised how little strawberries it came with. I don't know that I'd return here unless they got better about their cleanliness standards. Although, our servers were fantastic. Extremely kind and had great customer service. All staff members were very nice. The restaurant is in a good location as well.

Yelp
Delicious!! I got the power plate and loved the balance. Definitely a must visit when in Charleston. Our waitress was so kind and willing to split our check multiple ways.

Yelp
Service was very slow and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Our server was annoying and our food was cold and had to be sent back. I watched the manager running around taking pictures of the food coming out which is probably why it was cold when it was served. I would not recommend this place. Many other choices that are far better.

Yelp
would've rather not had lunch eat anywhere else i'm serious it's so bad go to millers

Yelp
Overall okay brunch experience here - we had to wait for a table even in the late afternoon showing how busy this spot can get. We just walked around the area and returned in time for our table without many issues. The menu had a good selection of brunch and lunch items. I ended up ordering a po boy sandwich which unfortunately was very disappointing - definitely opt to get a brunch item, the folks at my table who got your typical eggs or hash items were much better. Drinks were okay at least. The table was a bit sticky which made the ambiance not great. The decor otherwise made it feel a bit homey and rustic, but no other real comments. Service was okay, food came out a bit slow but we weren't in a rush or anything so no big deal. I probably wouldn't opt to come back to this spot if ever in the area again, but it overall wasn't too bad.
google avatar

Yelp
Very friendly waitress who answered all our questions and provided menu recommendations. She was overall attentive and kind. Although we went for breakfast they seemed to have an extensive menu, lots of options for everyone.
google avatar

Yelp
Stop in here with my girlfriend (gals trip) and had a wonderful breakfast. The home fries with the works (grilled onions, peppers and cheese) are very good and the serving is very very large. The benny Benedict with spinach was savory and fully enjoyed. Biscuits are home made and top of their class. I did not rate this a 5 star because the booth we were at was very uncomfortable. The seat to table distance was very tight (we are not big people) and the cushions were so lumpy that finding a good spot was...challenging. Service was spot on- just enough and thorough.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
The food was pretty yummy! The service was super fast! I had a take out order and after placing the order it took them like 7 mins to prepare it and be done. The place is actually was bigger then it looks! It was definitely a place to go for a small meeting! The customer service was top notch with everyone being super sweet!

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on a recent trip to Charleston after a friend recommended it. The standout item was definitely the she-crab soup ($8.95) -- rich, flavorful, and worth coming back for. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was underwhelming. The Caesar salad ($21.95) was just average and didn't feel worth the price. I also tried their "famous" Bloody Mary ($14), but it didn't live up to the hype -- not bad, just nothing memorable. My friend had the Fried green tomatoes and liked that very much! The vibe and location are nice, and the menu has a lot of variety, so maybe there are other gems I didn't get to try. If I return, it'll be solely for the she-crab soup.

Yelp
A good Southern breakfast is an amazing thing and the food here is great. Not everything was wonderful but I'll start with the good stuff. I got the Surf and Turf breakfast, which can easily feed two people. It comes with 8 oz steak (seasoned well and very tasty), grilled shrimp, potatoes and eggs and a biscuit. The biscuit I had here was huge but it had the fluffy texture I really enjoy and didn't feel like I was eating a paperweight. I recommend this as a place to get biscuits. Loved the home fries and eggs and the shrimp and steak were lovely. Service was also terrific..friendly and efficient. They really ran the place like clockwork. The only negative is the noise. Depending on where you're sitting and who is sitting around you, it can be deafening and make it a terrible experience. We were in a confined area with four large tables and a low ceiling and it was deafening. When you're surrounded by folks with high pitched voices, screaming to be heard over one another it gets shrill very fast. Add in bloody marys or mimosas and the level increases exponentially. We had to leave early because it the noise was so piercing. I can't imagine coming here with a hangover...your head would likely explode. If you can sit somewhere away from loud tables or if you take your food to go, this place is can't miss!

Yelp
Mega-mosa! All that needs to be said! Love this place for bunch and drinks!!! Value on drinks for sure

Amanda W.

Yelp
For starters... don't know why their logo is champagne glasses when they don't serve any alcohol. Took forever for us to get our appetizer, the server was running around slamming plates and cups on tables acting very stressed out which I didn't appreciate being a customer. Waited almost an hour for our entree, when asked how much longer it would be they said there were "two more tables in front of us for our order" which i didn't understand considering we had been there longer than most the tables. When asked for it to be packed up to go they immediately brought it out so it was ready they just didn't want to bring it out. First time in Charleston and it was a terrible experience the morning before a friend's wedding. They didn't charge us which was appreciated but I don't recommend this place unless you're wanting to wait over 2 hours for your food.

Yelp
| Food - Breakfast | I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich; all the ingredients were just okay. The eggs lacked flavor (hot sauce helped), the slice of American cheese probably came wrapped in cellophane, the bacon was a little chewy in texture, and the biscuit (given the abundance of great biscuits in Charleston) was disappointing. | Drink | The house coffee was good and it came in a giant mug. | Ambiance | Crowed, loud, and with tightly spaced tables. Diner vibes. | Service | Travis provided excellent and consistent service! It's a tough job navigating through the tight tables and it appeared he had several tables at once, but there wasn't a miss in the service and he kept checking in on us.

Yelp
I place an order in the food arrived hot and fresh. I ordered the Toast Classic Breakfast and a pancake. It was delicious. Only thing is that forgot my toast. I was very full .

Yelp
Very nasty and gross. Needs to be cleaned. Rusted out ceiling panels, busted chairs with insides hanging out/ springs, floors disgusting, smells horrible. CLEAN THE RESTAURANT AND PUT MONEY BACK INTO IT. Could not even order. We got up and left after sitting down. "You can brighten my day by cleaning and renovating"

Yelp
I wish I would've yelped this place before walking in! I was walking around trying to find a local breakfast spot and got excited when I came upon it. Seeing that it was a brunch spot with the menu visible, I decided to walk in. Right when I walked in, the gentleman at the bar was really nice but when the girl who came out after to seat me, it was so unpleasant. The service was definitely not what I expected, and when I started to look at the menu options they didn't seem like a wow factor. Finally went on Yelp to see the pictures and not impressed at all. The food looked really basic and not appealing. Ended up just getting a cup of coffee then left right after. Definitely disappointed thinking it was going to be a great brunch experience but disappointed.

Yelp
The service Annabell gave was attentive and pleasant. The food was Amazing (I had the shrimp and grits w/fried fish) and the Habiscus Mamosa hit just right!

Yelp
Pretty good I had a crab egg benedict. The fried green tomato and crab cake combo was really well done; I actually really liked my meal. Lower a star for me cause my partners po boy was so sad, I sadly didn't take a photo before eating, but it looked like a loose combo of bread, veggies and fried oysters. Service was great, server was fast. Ambiance was very casual - nothing to complain about.
google avatar

Yelp
Runny eggs when asked for over hard. Scrambled eggs weren't cooked all the way through either. No butter on toast. Chicken sausage was not good. We didn't eat much of what was brought out actually. 100 for 4 meals that were not good. I'd skip this place.
google avatar

Yelp
We were told it would be 5 minutes or less for a table for two. We waited more than 15 minutes and watched parties of two come in and get seated ahead of us. Now I don't mind waiting but they set the expectation of a short wait. I went up to the hostess stand and asked what the time estimate was. She thought we put in for a party of 5 despite us confirming two people. We finally got a table and the waitress barely spoke to us. Our food took almost an hour (basic eggs and a waffle.) I ordered poached eggs and my eggs were over hard. Lattes were bland and had no flavor. Food was overpriced for what it was. The waitress never asked how our food was or checked in again. I would not come back to this place. There are better brunch places in the area.

Phil N.

Yelp
I ate at this restaurant almost every morning in 2013 on a week long trip to Charleston. I loved everything about it. Something has changed...... I don't plan to eat there again. I ordered the Classic breakfast. 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and a biscuit, and a cup of coffee. The server and other staff in the restaurant were pleasant. When I received my food, I realized the eggs didn't taste good. I asked the server if the eggs were real; she said they weren't. She went back and brought out real eggs. I should have received real eggs to begin with. When I got my check, I realized that there was a $2 up charge for the biscuit and a 3% service fee (for using a card). This simple breakfast with coffee was almost $25. The tip made it almost $30 for this simple breakfast. I don't plan on eating there again.

Yelp
We got the Florentine Eggs Benedict and the Deluxe Stuffed peach French toast. The French toast was a good level of sweetness, not overwhelmingly rich. Was able to eat the whole thing because it was light. The eggs Benedict was pretty standard. Had a lemon taste to it that was unexpected but not bad. Probably would try something else on the menu next time. Home fries and coffee were what you would expect. Server was very friendly and the restaurant was cozy.
google avatar

Marissa J.

Yelp
We came to eat on a very busy day, so the food took a while to get to us. Service - Our waitress was very nice and welcoming. She was super busy, but had a smile on her face. The staff was very lovely. Ambiance - I didn't really like the ambiance because it felt kind of messy, and our table was kind of dirty, but that's more of a my personal taste thing. It gave a little rustic, British, diner. Food - food wasn't the greatest. I liked my crab cake eggs Benedict, and the cappuccino was okay. The fries I got were also okay. My dad got a waffle and sausages, but the sausages were very dry and flat. We told our waitress and she was very understanding. The food was honestly okay. It was just like another breakfast place. Nothing great to say, nothing bad to say. We went on a busy day, so please note that.
google avatar

Zoe G.

Yelp
Toast is very cute place! They are moving locations in a couple of weeks, but the location we went to was great! Parking is paid street parking or paid lot/garage only. Crystal was our server/bartender she was super friendly! We were there for a birthday brunch and offered us sample frose. Food came out quick and was yummy. Didn't take any photos, but fresh squeezed OJ in mimosa was great. Chicken and waffles were good, very filling, my friend said she would get it again. The veggie omelette was very filling as well. No gluten free toast as mentioned on menu, they said it may be at the new location. Candied bacon was delicious. Would come again next time I'm in Charleston!
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Food was good and our server was extremely nice and very attentive. The only reason I don't give a 5 star is the tables are very close together so it was pretty loud. We spoke with the manager and they are moving to a larger location soon, which is great.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
I will admit the place is a little dated and doesn't give "clean vibes" but the hostess was friendly and so was our waitress. Even though we showed up on a Saturday, we were seated immediately. I did notice a few gnats but I guess that's normal since it's hot outside. I ordered the Florentine Benny on a biscuit with grits and my husband ordered toast, eggs and apple sausage. The food took a long time to come out. Like at least 20-30 minutes. Also, I didn't understand why the table beside us got their food first when we ordered first. However, once our waitress gave them their food, she went back and got ours. The plate was hot but the food was warm as if it had been sitting. I was going to use the restroom but my husband said the men's restroom was disgusting. He hardly ever talks about the cleanliness of restrooms. Usually when I ask if a restroom is clean, he'll say "I mean it's a restroom" so for him to say this one was disgusting, it had to be bad. My Benny was good but the grits were horrid, they were under cooked and had zero salt. I also ordered a cranberry juice for $4 that came in a very small glass. After the ice, I probably had about 6oz of juice. When we got our check, we noticed that they charged a 3% merchant fee. At the other restaurants they would only charge that if you were using a credit card. At this restaurant, they will charge you the 3% fee even if you use a debit card. The waitress said they will only remove the 3% fee if you use cash. Lastly, my husband asked for sautéed onions in his eggs, and she told us there would be an up charge so we paid $1 extra and we were OK with that, however, when his food came out, the onions were 100% raw. Even though the waitress and the hostess were nice, the food was not good at all. I wish I could give the restaurant 2.5 stars instead of 2.

Yelp
Delicious food, loved the biscuits and gravy! We enjoyed the large portions. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
We were so thankful to find a seat here when everyone else was no longer accepting walk-ins. Staff was super friendly and helpful with the allergy in our party. Food was absolutely so flavorful and so varied.

Emily w.

Yelp
Not worth the price. I got the country-fried chicken biscuit. The chicken was mid, the gravy was supposed to be sausage gravy but ended up just being yellow bland lard, and the biscuit crumbled into a million pieces. For $12 I would expect a little more effort or for it to at least come with a side of some sort. The waiter and staff were nice, but not great. Had to ask for silverware, napkins, and the check. Got to see our waiter munching on fries by the kitchen while we were still waiting for him to pick up our check and cash us out. I also had to get up and grab our own butter for our meal. The ambiance was ok. There was some kind of loud banging coming from upstairs as if someone was jumping. Overall an ok experience, but wouldn't come again.

Chris B.

Yelp
We waited for 12 minutes for a waitress, she shows up says hello and then just walks away. A few other workers seen us sitting there and no one said anything. As we were walking out the hostess said sorry, no reasoning just sorry. Fine business you got going here. Unreal....

Yelp
Nice little breakfast / brunch place in Charleston SC, we had a large group of 19 visiting for thanksgiving weekend. The restaurant is wide and has many tables and booths. They were able to seat our group really quick. The waiters are amazing and have good knowledge of the menu. We tried the Magnolia omelette Classic breakfast biscuit The classic breakfast Chocolate milk and hot chocolate, some coffee Chocolate pancakes etc The price is decent with the large group the waiter was diligent in getting us the right items for each of us. I would call this a good breakfast restaurant to try in the area.

Bob P.

Yelp
Review: Toast on Hwy. 17 West Ashley, near 526 Toast is toast in our book! $100 for a breakfast for two with one Bloody Mary each. Very Limited menu Grits had no taste Medium rare steak looked like burnt fried liver Charged $2 to switch from toast to a biscuit Crab and shrimp omelet okay Big eat at bar but only one bartender Bartender was a very good bartender, but overwhelmed as a waitress Bloody Marys were good. Waffle House is better but no bloody marys. If you want an upscale $20 breakfast with good atmosphere and a very attentive GM (Aaron Poole) then go to "Another Broken Egg" on Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. Again, upscale Variety of breakfast foods that are very good.

Yelp
This place was a disaster. The food WAS NOT IT! How is this Carolina Cuisine? Gullah Geechee Low Country References! Be so FORREAL! The service and food was terrible. I ordered a simple dish. I ordered a breakfast biscuit: Literally a simple Chicken Sausage egg and cheese sandwich. They brought out a bacon egg and cheese when I specifically asked for no pork. I politely asked the Server to remake my sandwich. The Server took it back, the cook peeled off the bacon and shoved 2 chicken sausage links on the sandwich and served it to me! I was a served for 7 years and I looked at the sandwich and I could literally see where the melted cheese was peeled up and pieces of biscuit had been peeked up. I was so damn pissed! Also, as someone who worked in the restaurant industries for so long, that was the ultimate sign of disrespect and the tell tale sign that this restaurant gives absolutely no F's about service. Also, the IHOP breakfast biscuit tastes better than the BS they are serving here! Bland and dry ass sandwich. I just let it ride because I was with my elderly in-laws but had it not been for them, the Manager and I would have been having a serious chat! Now onto my Aunts Pizza. My Aunt ordered a Pepperoni Pizza which didn't come out until 20 minutes after the rest of my table of 7 for their food. My elderly Aunt was also upset. And although the service and food was terrible, dry and extremely salty, there was also an Auto Gratuity added! For what? Salty, poorly cooked, late and not even what I asked for food!? This establishment is terrible! Avoid this place at all costs. This restaurant needs overhaul!

Yelp
Service: Our server Kate was very friendly. I could tell she was stressed and running around, but she always made sure to check on us and make a conversation. It was a Saturday afternoon and our food took 50 minutes to come, which by all means is ok for me, but if you do mind a long wait I would come during a slower time, or make a reservation an hour before you will be hungry. Food: The food was good. Nothing exceptional, It was a little cold, and I know it's hard to get food out quick + I don't like when my food is scorching hot so that was just fine in my opinion, but i know many people don't like that. I had a biscuit which was huge and a little bit dry, but good. It also did not come with any butter or jelly I had to ask for it, which I thought would be given. That may have been a mistake but I am not too sure. The eggs were perfect though! I had some waffle as well and with the syrup + butter it was good too. But nothing really blew me out of the water. Space: We sat on the back patio which was a little hot, I would prefer to sit inside next time. The workers kept going out back to go on the phone and hearing them talk was a little bit annoying, but hey everyone needs a break sometimes. The bathrooms were ok, not too clean but not too dirty. One last thing to note is the weird white stuff on my cup, but I didn't want to be annoying so I just drank with my straw lol. Overall: It was a good lunch. I probably wouldn't voluntarily go back, but if someone else wanted to go, I would go with them. The food is good and as long as you are sitting inside and it's not too busy, you should have a good time!

Yelp
During our visit to Charleston for the past few days, we stopped in to Toast! All Day in the French Quarter on area on Thursday, 9/12 to find the restaurant very busy around 10 am, but we were seated immediately and then we were greeted by one of the best servers/people we have ever encountered. Stephanie was extremely pleasant, bubbly, funny, and above all- extremely good at her job. If I were starting a restaurant, I'd start the staffing process by hiring Stephanie. She took great care of us, she knew the menu inside and out, made recommendations and seemed genuinely happy to be helping us. The food was excellent- my wife had the fried chicken biscuit and she said it's the best one she has ever had, while I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and I couldn't even finish mine, and believe me, I can put away some food. While we were eating, Stephanie kept our drinks full and was able to chat with us a for a few minutes. When we left the restaurant, we both commented how much better our visit was because of such a sweet and positive person like Stephanie. Thanks, Toast! and especially Stephanie, we'll be back someday for sure.

Yelp
My mom and I weren't finding much luck for a late lunch on a Friday as most of the places in Charleston close by two for lunch. We were lucky enough to wander into Toast, where the hostess and staff welcomed us within enthusiasm. I enjoyed a fried green tomatoes, BLT slathered with pimento cheese which also came with a healthy serving of fries. it was delicious! No, the restaurant isn't the fanciest in Charleston, but they offered a great value for the price and were friendly and welcoming to boot.

Yelp
Great breakfast!!! Huge pancakes, and the shrimp and crab omelet was especially fantastic. Big portions, great quality, and enjoyed by kids and adults together. (Also had a good Bloody Mary!)

We walked into Toast! All Day on Thanksgiving morning, it appeared as a quaint little restaurant. Once inside, it was packed. We observed plenty of seating and seating for people with disabilities. We sat at the bar. The bartender took our order. We stated off with mimosas. Hard decision as there were 8 types to select from. What caught my attention was that the oranges were freshly squeeze! Oh, the mimosas were tasty, I had the orange, then the peach. I observed the bartender served the drinks to EVERY customer as well my party. Once our order was placed, the meal was served by the head chef. Get that, EVERY customer was served by the head chef on Thanksgiving! If that doesn't screem quality, which it most certainly did! This place was run like a well-oiled machine! Toast! All Day, is a MUST TRY restaurant! They definitely set the bar in the restaurant industry! You definitely deserved your 5-star review! I will be a return customer!

Yelp
Visited for a late breakfast. I recommend the corn beef hash. Service was polite and quick.

Yelp
Got seated outside and no one came to take our order. Was not crowded and was just ignored. Left after 20 minutes of waiting for a server.

Yelp
So... I usually don't do 2 star ratings b/c generally if I have a bad experience, the rating is at least average (3 stars). That said, not everything was negative so I will start with the good. Positives: - Amazing & friendly staff - Awesome selection of specialty lattes the French toast latte is incredible! Now let's get into the experience. Immediately walk and you can just tell that this building is old and upkeep may be lacking. The bathroom was also very dirty & dingy looking. As for food the wait was pretty long. It was a holiday weekend though so there were a lot of people. I got the toast breakfast and it came with eggs your way, choice of meat and breakfast potatoes grits or fruit. I specifically asked if they could saute the onions in my scrambled eggs and if they couldn't I did not want them. Sure enough they brought out my eggs with raw onions. The eggs we basic and the chicken apples sausage were the absolute worst I've ever had in my life. My wife got the grits and they were absolutely tasteless. He had to add so much salt to even make it edible. I'm fine with a no frills no thrills restaurant, but that just means the food needs to be amazing! This is not it and I'll never be back.

Yelp
Absolute worst breakfast I have had in Charleston. If you are visiting the city please spend your money elsewhere. If you want bad food but morning drinks this is the place for you. You have been warned.

Yelp
Restaurant was dirty. Had the Meeting street eggs, toast and grits. Food was underwhelming, would not recommend.
