Great brunch, wonderful location and staff. The coffee is EXCELLENT. My cappuccinos competes with ones from Italy or France. I asked what coffee they use; the chef roasts her own. Of course she does. I came back the next day for another. By the way, dog friendly and kind too.

The food was delicious! We got the Ube French toast, breakfast sandwich, and breakfast burrito. Highly recommend the Matcha latte. Our server, Mitchel, was awesome! Super friendly and personable, made the whole experience amazing :) Plus They let us have our dogs on the patio

VERDICT: An excellent choice for lunch. FOOD: The Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich holds immense complexity and hits all the notes in perfect pitch. The crisp of the chicken comes unencumbered by residual oil, and the crunch is pleasant but not overwhelming. The crispy tots are delicious and play a good second chair to the sandwich. DRINK: Beer on tap for $5 is a victory all its own. Great choices. I drank the hazy and the lager. SERVICE: The server was good, handling the misfire of a drink made incorrectly by remaking it herself (to an excellent product). They also forgot to make one of the sandwiches, which they made and comped and gave us a pie. While this visit was less-than-ideal in these respects, the staff were not defensive or rude but rather apologized and made it right. I can give grace to struggles regarding their software (the source of the woes) as the food was just killer.

What a great place to eat!!! First shout out to our server Jessica, very sweet and knowledgeable. We took her recommendations with zero regrets! Their margaritas are delicious!! Very smooth and flavorful. One of the better margaritas I've had. The chilaquiles are fire. Jessica suggested the green sauce, and she nailed it. The breakfast burrito was killer as well. I got it "wet" and it hit every spot. Definitely will be coming back!!

We stopped by Toast Kitchen + Bakery during our spring break trip to California on Friday, April 18th — and wow, what a treat. The food was delicious (my sister’s ube latte was smooth, gentle, and floral — I definitely stole a sip), but it was the service that truly made the experience memorable. It’s always great when the food is good, but when the service is just as thoughtful? That’s what makes a place unforgettable. We felt genuinely cared for the entire time — different team members checked in seamlessly, like they were all in sync, and we never once felt overlooked. To top it off, a lovely staff member brought out a tray of their house-made pies, and even though we were too full, she still offered us a taste of their chocolate cake. That kind of hospitality is rare. Toast isn’t just good — it’s gracious. And we’ll absolutely be back.

We got the fried chicken waffle, pork belly, Ube toast, and grilled avocado salad. The food was nicely presented, but was very mid. The waffle and toast were not flavorful, and the waffle was especially soggy. The pork belly was also very bland, with the rice being very soggy too. The avocado salad however was good, but portion was very small. The service was pretty good, but we did find a few items that made the dining experience less than satisfactory. There was white hair in the food and the cups used for water were rusted. Upon asking the waiter, they said that the cups have been rusted for 5 years now, with the owners aware. And yet they have not changed them. Overall the experience was very mediocre. It was not really worth the hour wait for the table. I would look elsewhere for a brunch place.

Great food, fast/friendly service and fair prices. Will absolutely come back again.

This place is clean, beautiful with its deco, but not as cozy and inviting as the pictures. They provide both inside and outdoor sitting area, perfect for lunch’s time, not so for breakfast or dinner as it does not give me the vibe of warm welcoming. For the food: I have Avocado 🥑 Toast and Ube here few days ago. Even though they are looking very appealing but it feels like something is missing which I could not quite figured out. The avocado is not fresh at all, given the main ingredient in the avocado toast, and Ube Latte is a bit too much milk, they only have 3 options for milk which whole milk, oat and almond. The service is not bad, but it could have been more organized as it is very confused where to sit or how to order when you first walked in, but I give 4* because the waitress are hard-working and friendly :)

Yelp
Toast is one of my favorite bunch spots in the OC. Their buttermilk fried chicken always delivers-- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ube french toast is not too sweet and has so many vibrant flavors with blueberry and mango. Definitely come early on a weekend!

Krystle A.

Yelp
The food has a hint of Filipino and Korean dishes and is super flavorful. I highly recommend the ube French toast, the mascarpone is very light, not overly sweet and very flavorful. I enjoyed the Korean sandwhich a lot. The chicken was very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, had a pickle and some kimchi for the crunch and the bread was really soft and toasted at all the right spots lol it was kinda pricey for just the sandwich about $18 with no fries or any side dish tho. We also tried the sisig burrito, it had a crunch from the pork, and packed with some French fries so it's very filling. It was missing something for sure, I think if it had a side of salt and vinegar sauce (this typically comes with the Filipino dish sisig) then it would've been a little better. But I think maybe also it was kind of bland, needed something else to add a little umph. Also very expensive about $17 with no side as well. Just the burrito. The lattes were good but fair warning they do not come with espresso so you have to ask to add a shot if you want caffeine. Kind of weird I thought bc I just automatically all lattes had caffeine lol I did like the pandan latte, again not overly sweet and a subtle taste of pandan. My friend also enjoyed the matcha latte and recommends it. What made our experience really great is the service from our waitress Normandie. She was super attentive, friendly and just a delight. Her personality shined and she always checked on us. Thanks!! The parking is super limited, we ended up having to park in the wal greens across and walking, I'm glad we didn't get towed lol ambiance is cute and clean and simple. They did have some pies to sell in the front that we wanted to try, like ube coconut pie, strawberry rhubarb. Definitely looked worth trying!

Yelp
Stopped by for some brunch with a friend, and was happy to find a new, untried spot. I was worried about a potential wait on a Saturday morning, but to my surprise, it wasn't bad at all! It's a generally quiet place, but maybe it gets rowdy later in the day. We were seated after waiting about 10 minutes and we got to ordering right away. I got the roasted bell pepper and kale quiche and I initially thought it was a bit expensive. Nonetheless, I brushed it off as typical Newport pricing. The service was fast and efficient! When it came out, I was just a bit disappointed by the serving size, but the taste was just amazing. The quiche was cooked perfectly and the veggies were great. It came with a little side salad, which had a great acidity to it, again just wishing I had more. Overall, not too bad of a place for the convenient lication!

Yelp
Looked up near by places to eat and Toast Kitchen popped up so we popped in. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. Sad that they didn't have the Thai tea French toast anymore.

Yelp
My pick today as an early birthday cuz I meet meet my friend every 6 weeks like clockwork ... and I was overjoyed to pick Toast Kitchen again cuz I really loved their Quiche!! It's light and extremely fluffy, rather than being dense. As I'm not a real fan of cheese either, but a total egg fan, it's also light on the cheese. My friend's breakfast burrito was the same as in Tustin. Large and delicious. She can only eat half. She also got a nice specialty coffee decorated with a beautiful heart. ... then as my friend grabbed the receipt and said HBD, the VERY attentive waitress, Brigitte, picked up on it and brought us a brownie to share with a candle in it! How sweet!! Surprised to see our Tustin waiter, Mitchell, here and he seemed to remember us from our visit to Tustin back in January. It was nice to see him. I've been to the Toast Kitchen in Tustin, so I wanted to give this one a try as it's about the same distance as the Tustin one to both my friend and I. The parking here isn't as good as you are pretty much parking right off Newport Blvd. It's a parking lot, but a very small one. Also, the restaurant is not as large, so I can assume there would be a wait if you come during peak hours. We were here on a Friday at 11:30 and got one of the last tables, but no complaints that they allowed us to stay for two hours. There is a very nice patio, but it was too cold this time to sit outside.

Yelp
Great food and service! Never had an açaí bowl until came here and now I "get it"! So yummy. We also had the chicken sandwich that had the Kim chi on it (don't remember exactly what it was called, sorry) but both dishes split with my 13 year old and we loved it. The only suggestion I have is the açaí bowl was on the share section of the menu. It was huge. I wonder if they have a smaller version! The granola was delicious and the almond butter smear on the bowl perfect to "drag it in" to your bites! Banana chips: thumbs down on this one tho: fresh banana would have been better. But the açaí sorbet was to die for. So glad we came here on our trip!

Yelp
Love this place! The service was quick and the food was pretty tasty! We came on sat and were seated outside pretty quickly, we ordered and the food arrived within 10 mins. I got the chicken and waffles and Ube latte and it was really yummy! The vibes are nice and the sea breeze can be felt so overall good atmosphere!

Melanie G.

Yelp
My friend and I went on a Sunday morning around noon and we waited about 40 minutes between the time when we put our names down and when we were called. Definitely expect a wait! Servers were very kind and attentive. I got the ube French toast which was both a great dish and aesthetic! It comes with four pieces. The French toast was cooked well, the blueberries were fresh, the fruit coulis were added a tart balance and the granola was nice for a crunch! But the best part was the ube cream! A great soft whip and perfect ube flavor (not too sweet)

Brian W.

Yelp
Toast Kitchen and Bakery is a really trendy and popular brunch spot in Newport Beach. It's usually pretty busy on the weekends, so definitely go earlier, but today there was surprisingly no wait! The staff is super friendly and helpful, but the food is definitely the highlight. While the drinks were just mediocre, the chicken and waffles were spectacular, as the chicken was so nicely fried while still being really juicy. The ube french toast was also very flavorful, although it tasted more blue berry than ube at times. Overall this is an amazing brunch spot with friends, family, or a date!

Teagan T.

Yelp
I feel like I didn't order what I was supposed to here. Basing on the recommendation of the waiter, I got the grilled avocado salad instead of the avocado toast and that was.. a mistake. The avocado toast was better than the avocado salad and the salad was.. disappointing but pretty good. Not worth a return.. unfortunately. And we didn't get to try their famous ube waffle. Shame on us.. the waffles were.. good. Straight up waffle for crispy sake. What confused me the most was the service. They were super attentive one second but completely ignoring you when you're about to leave and is just looking for a to go cup. Or refillable coffee as promised.

Yelp
I've worked down the street for over a decade and cannot believe it took me this long to try Toast. We started off with both the Ube and Churro French toast. The Ube was amazing and we highly recommend. Churro must have been a fluke, we tasted zero cinnamon and it was overall surprisingly bland. For mains we got the chicken and waffles, fried chicken sandwich with fries, and breakfast burrito. All were absolutely devoured and we even ordered extra fries for the table since they were some of the best we've had in a while. They do not have an overwhelmingly large menu but what they have they seem to do pretty well.

Genevieve H.

Yelp
Good service and a cute interior. Parking was a little difficult but the food was delicious. My latte was HUGE and not too sweet, and the blackened chicken sandwich was tender and juicy, and didn't even need the fries I was plenty full. The churro French toast was fluffy and sweet, and the Nashville hot chicken was a hit with my friends and they don't even like spicy food. I recommend the millionaires bacon as a nice candied twist

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Amazing excellent food, great service, chilaquiles with pork green salsa amazing, and ricotta toas

Yelp
This was our second time here, and we missed this place! It's been a little bit but I'm really glad we came here again. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, we arrived around 1:30 and this place closes at 3 pm. We waited at the front for a few minutes before someone greeted us and asked if we needed a table. We sat down pretty quickly. The server took our drink orders pretty quickly. My wife got a vanilla late, and I got a hot vanilla latte. Both were very good. We ended up ordering the sisig Burrito and put the fries on the side (they normally come inside the burrito). I got the chicken and waffles. It came with 2 flavors of chicken, and they gave me 3 choices, orange, buttermilk, and Nashville hot. I got the buttermilk and orange. My favorite was the orange. I like sweets, so it was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The buttermilk was original, and I ended up putting syrup on it. SO BOMB. The sisig Burrito had a lot of citrus flavor and was very good as well. I enjoyed this place a lot. It's a nice spot to eat and relax in a Cafe style spot. I'm definitely coming back to try new things!

Yelp
This was my second time coming here and I would give this place probably a 3.5/5 overall because I was so disappointed my second time around. I came here for brunch with some friends and we got the fried chicken and waffles, sisig burrito, and ube french toast. The first time I came here I loved the sisig burrito but i'm not sure why it was tasting so off this time!! What did they do to my favorite item on the menu? It tasted like a sour soggy, blob of avocado wrapped in tortilla, I genuinely couldn't taste anything else. This was my second time getting the ube french toast and it was also super disappointing this second time because it was also... soggy? I don't know if we just came on a bad day but yeah both the burrito and french toast had a soggy texture and were not very good taste wise either. The chicken and waffles probably became my new favorite, the louisiana hot chicken specifically was very well seasoned and had a nice crunch, the waffle was alright, just to pair with the chicken. For drinks, we got the ube latte and mung bean latte and they were incredibly diluted, you could only really taste the milk which was a bummer. If you spend another $3 for espresso then your drink only tastes like espresso so I would say you can definitely skip out on the coffee here. Service was good, the worker was really friendly. The ambiance is cute. I used to think this was a cute brunch place with good food but it has now been downgraded to just an aesthetic brunch place with mediocre food. Would I come back? Maybe I'd give it one last chance if I was in the area because of how much I enjoyed this place the first time but otherwise I'd say it's not worth my time and money anymore.

Emmie H.

Yelp
This was a great stop! I went with a group of friends and we all had a nice time. The service was great -- everything came out quick, fresh, and hot. We came in towards closing so there wasn't too much left in the bakery case. However, I did get to try a variety of the menu items! The chicken and waffles (which, pro tip, you can get with half-and-half different kinds of chicken) was so moist and the waffle had a wonderful sweetness to it that paired wonderfully with the light spice of the Nashville hot chicken. I also got to try the millionaire bacon and the churro french toast. What I was most pleased by was that the portions weren't humungous but everything was reasonably priced at the same time. The churro french toast had a lot of different sauces, but I think I would've liked it a little more without the addition of the chocolate sauce --- felt like there was too much contrast in flavors here. The hot drinks were great and of high quality. I'd definitely come back and try more!

Yelp
I would give 4.5 stars if I can. We were greeted by Bridgette who was so sweet and funny from the start. We absolutely love the casual and trendy vibe in this place. Their staff aren't total robots. A few staff members came by and chatted with us which I love. We came here the other day for the first time ! It was really really good ! We shared a champagne flight; the flavors were so exotic and different than you get anywhere else. The cucumber chia seed was hands down my favorite. They make the cucumber juice in house! It was super fresh. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the chicken and waffles. I was stoked to be able to choose between 2 different flavors for the chicken. I went with the recommendation as well as my gut choices of orange glaze and Nashville hot. I was super impressed because it was obvious the chicken is hand dredged and made to order & not sitting out waiting for someone to order it. The only reasons I have for not giving 5 stars is that I think they cooked the waffles too early and when we received it - it was slightly soggy and cold. The other reason is because the restaurant itself wasn't exactly clean. The floors were a little sticky, bathrooms definitely not clean, and a little disorganized server stations in guest view. Overall will be back! I'd love to try the ube French toast.

Jiliza N.

Yelp
First off, big shout out to our server Bridgette!! She has the kindest soul! She probably visited our table at least 5-6 times making sure our needs were met. The portions were more than enough, even took some leftovers home to finish later. Everything was seasoned to perfection from the scrambled eggs to the chicken sandwich. At first I thought the chicken looked quite dry, but I couldn't be more wrong. As soon as I cut into it, the juices started bursting and my mouth was satisfied. Moving onto the ube french toast, I can say as a Filipino myself, the ube flavor was on par with my expectations! The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. There's seating inside as well as outside. Perfect place to visit to get some brunch with family & friends!

Rachel L.

Yelp
I looove toast ! the breakfast burrito was super yummy . not too salty and had a good balance of ingredients. it also wasn't overly wet and soggy which is great . the breakfast sandwich was also really good ! the chicken and waffles here is also a fav for me but next time I want to try the ube french toast!

Teresa L.

Yelp
Cute place for brunch! Sit inside or outside. The outside tables are covered by umbrella's and offer people and car watching. Inside is quaint and cute with a bit of an eclectic feel. The tables are on the smaller side but spread out, so you feel like you have plenty of privacy. The menu is average size and offers a little of everything Mexican-Asian fusion. The service here is very good. Our waiter was on top of it, knew the menu and gave recommendations. We had the Sisig Burrito and the Pork Belly Bowl. Both were delicious. We enjoy Asian food, sometimes splurge on Filipino. We even ordered a Pork Belly Bowl to go! The restrooms were clean and tidy as well as the restaurant. Would recommend for a deviation from the American style breakfast.

Susan M.

Yelp
It's time for a quality assurance check, Toast! This spot used to be our favorite brunch spot 2021-2022 so we always thought very highly of this place but our most recent takeout order really disappointed us. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and he spat out the chicken because it was so burnt and dry. It's been a while since I've seen him react that way to a dish. My go to is the acai bowl and luckily it's a dish you can hardly mess up since their acai is always solid (not sure where they get it from but I love the texture of their acai). Let's get your chicken and waffles back to its usual level!

Karlie S.

Yelp
We went back again and unfortunately the experience wasn't as good as our first time. They were backed up in the kitchen and so while there were empty tables, we couldn't get seated for another 30 mins. The Sisig burrito was very good. The breakfast sandwich is ok. The churro French toast was good but not as good as the Ube one. They just opened their patio seating and it's a decent casual brunch spot.

Nikki N.

Yelp
The wait was about an hour on a Sunday, and we got a spot on the outside, which is right by the parking lot. Cars/truck/people would be driving or walking right by us all the time so I'd say outdoor seating isn't optimal. The experience was extremely delightful thanks to Jess, our server, who was attentive and didn't forget those sitting outside and we got water and ordered food almost right at the moment we sat down. (Note that we had been waiting for an hour so we perused the menu so that facilitated the process.) We order chicken and waffle and ube french toast. Food was served in about 10 minutes so that definitely worth extra credits for those waiting for over an hour for a brunch. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor; no over-fried bits that dried out. Waffle was also cooked just right--it's not the thick/dried waffle nor the thin/airy type. Its Belgian type of thickness but not Belgian buttery waffle. It worked well with the chicken. The butter that came with the waffle was a bit.. interesting (it didn't taste like butter and it didn't melt on hot food....). Maple syrup cured all evil. Ube french toast was good, but nothing spectacular. We did enjoy the blueberry mango fruit pulp or syrup that dominate the dish instead of the ube, as it was very subtle. I felt they coated the french toast in pancake/waffle batter but not egg/milk mixture. It did accompanied well with the chicken and waffle so it's good trying once. Burrito looked good and we will try the Tustin location next time.

Omar F.

Yelp
I found this while online looking up brunch places! It apparently made yelps top 100 breakfast places in the top 10 back in 2022 and has EPIC reviews and I'm so glad we stopped by. The burrito was MASSIVE! Def worth the cost, my wife and I had ordered 2 but saw how big it was at another table and we decided to share one and let me tell you that we were stuffed with only half! Our server was great , she was able answer all of my question and even gave me clarity on the delicious purple stuff in my French toast hahaha. She also did an AMAZING job at accommodating for us and our stroller. The overall atmosphere was very calm yet alive which i loved. Def coming again on my next trip to California.

Christine N.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot for a really long time and I'm glad I finally did! What a cute and delightful spot! The service was very nice and fast. We got the Ube toast and the Sisig burrito. I'm also a huge fan of ketchup... so of course you already know I had to ask for a side of that to accompany the burrito. I have absolutely zero complaints about it. The Ube french toast was also fantastic - I loved the side of syrup and sprinkle of .. granola (I think?). It added a wonderful crunch. Not too sweet!

Kady H.

Yelp
Came to this cute brunch spot in Costa Mesa right on the border of Newport Beach with my 2 gals around 11 on a weekday, and there was a 20 minute wait for inside seating, but no wait outside. The service was amazing, as the servers continued to check up on us regularly and ask us if we needed anything + refilled our waters. The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken and Waffles were SO GOOD. The chicken is superrrr crispy, juicy and seasoned well, while the waffle also comes out crispy with a fluffy interior. They also gave us a lot of maple syrup too! The Pork Belly Bowl is also very delicious. The pork is braised and seasoned well, while the soy glaze gives it even more flavor and added crispy texture. The rice is also really tasty! The pandan latte was honestly so-so. I couldn't taste the pandan at all, and for $9 ($6 + $3 for espresso) it was just overpriced and not worth it. I would rather opt for a regular vanilla latte!

Tim F.

Yelp
Loved this place. Went for breakfast (8:15 on Saturday). Ordered the Burrito Sisig and Chocolate Chip Pancakes. They were both incredible. The sisig burrito was breakfast-style with 2 eggs cooked perfectly (careful with it exploding!) and stuffed with fries, kalamansi mayo (think citrus), a generous helping of avocado, and sisig (I don't like bacon, but this was like a delicious bacon). Overall, solid flavor and I loved it. Chocolate Chip Pancakes was one of my favorite pancakes anywhere! It was a soft (pretty side on both sides, somehow) and fluffy pancake with semi-sweet chocolate chips. Every bite was bursting with flavor and the chocolate chips were the perfect sweetness. It's topped with candied pecans (10/10), sable cookies (delicious), and chantilly cream. Came with 3 pancakes. I'll admit, it was extremely heavy and I can't imagine anyone finishing this. I saw other reviews talking about dryness and needing syrup, maybe I'm used to dry foods because I'm Asian, because I didn't have that issue. I thought the syrup ruined the flavor, so I didn't use it and I still loved it. All in all, I thought this place was awesome. When I went, there was barely anyone there. By the time I left, it was nearly packed. The service was perfect, and they have great food. It was worth a 20 minute drive. Also, the decor includes toasters of varying style. Hilarious!

Vicky N.

Yelp
Cucumber limeade is refreshing, more cucumber flavor than limey. It's not as sour but still a palate cleanser. Matcha latte with oat milk tasted like milk with green coloring. We got the chicken and waffles, sisig burrito, and ube pancakes. We are more savory breakfast people than sweets, but unfortunately the salty breakfasts did not hit here. We actually did enjoy the ube pancakes especially with blueberries to cut through the sweetness. We tried this place because of high Yelp reviews so I recommended it to my friends but it was embarrassing to say that we all found it mid. It was definitely a first-time last-time experience. Service was good though, so I appreciated that!

Nayia R.

Yelp
The food was very good, really cute spot. My server was amazing! I wish I remembered his name. He had great energy and made the experience enjoyable. He knew the menu front and back by trying all the dishes before and numerous times, giving honest and great reviews. When I'm back in this area this will definitely be a repeat place to explore the menu.

Yelp
"Toast" was brunch on a whim, and it was whim-tastic. All punny comments aside, it was the best meal of the OC weekend from the reasonable prices, attentive service to the seriously delicious and creative Asian spin on typical brunch items. We never stepped foot inside the restaurant due to being sat outside so couldn't speak to the ambience but who doesn't love SoCal's sunny weather? The food for 4 was sufficient: 1. Thai Chile Chilaquiles - that tang of pickled onions combined with the uber flavorful pulled pork covered with a sunny egg... mouthwatering 2. Ube French toast - you. Must. Get. They don't skimp on that cream nested atop that brioche French toast. Share it, if you want... 3. Blackened chicken sandwich - surprisingly good with the Gouda, sauce. Not at all dry. Would probably try a different dish (just to taste something different) if it was up to me next time but a decent pick. 4. Bell pepper and Kale Quiche - why is it so good?? You'll just have to taste it to find out yourself. Future food envy wants: sisig burrito, mole burger, chocolate chip cookie dough short stack. Plenty of parking out front. And a line started forming on the weekend but we got in decently fast. Next time OC...next time.

Sam M.

Yelp
Holy smokes this place totally lived up to the online hype!! This was our 1st time here and the food looked & tasted just as described online! We shared 2 entrees & fries with 3 adults & kid & still had leftovers! The Ube French Toast & Sisig burrito were full of unique flavors & obvious quality. Could not find even 1 blueberry that was not perfect. When we left we were already planning on what to order next time. Oh & the service was impeccable!!

Sam O.

Yelp
My partner and I stopped by while we were out in Costa Mesa after looking on Yelp for good brunch spots. We got here and got sat right away, our server was super accommodating off the bat. The ambiance inside was very lowkey, I also liked that it wasn't super packed on a weekday morning. We tried their grilled chicken caper sandwich and ube French toast and they were both delicious! Definitely coming back when we're in the area.

Broadwillow V.

Yelp
Basic food that is slightly elevated but significantly inflated in price. Service is good. Food is good. I suppose it's like most places where price is a reflection of the food art they produced.

Valerie N.

Yelp
It's been awhile since my last visit, but I always remembered that it was poppin' due to the TikTok hype. I came here around 10AM on a Wednesday and we were seated immediately; it wasn't until about half an hour later that the seats around us started filling. Our waitress was super attentive and helpful with answering our questions as well as making sure we had what we needed. I ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffle while my friend ordered the Ube French Toast - we were both super pleased with our choices. In my picture, you can see the Nashville Hot Chicken, but you actually have the option of splitting your chicken types. I thought it was crunchy and juicy, and complemented the waffles well. All in all, I always enjoy my time at this location. The modern interior makes it a great, aesthetic spot to chill and catch up with friends. That's not even to mention that the beach is so close by! Give it a visit.

Yelp
Actually very disappointed with this breakfast, definitely not worth it at all. The concept sounds great, but bad execution. The sisig burrito I got was so dry and had no flavor. The fried chicken was super overcooked and not good. Definitely skippable.

Yelp
Service was great, was checked up and food came out fast. The wait was around 40 mins on a Sunday afternoon. Kinda bummed that the chilaquiles and Thai tea toast wasn't on the menu anymore. The entrees that were recommended was good and heavy.

Yelp
If you are craving breakfast dishes, this place is a must visit! Toast kitchen and bakery is located in Costa Mesa/Newport. Parking lot is small but it wasn't too horrible when we came around 10:00 AM on a Saturday so we found a spot pretty easily. The inside was full when we went to we sat outside. They have brunch/breakfast style dishes with an Asian twist. I got a IPA ($8) and my Bf got a red wine ($12) for drinks. For the dishes my BF got the sisig burrito ($18) and I got the bacon breakfast burrito ($17). Food and drinks came out pretty fast within 10 mins. My breakfast burrito was super filling, took half to go, but it was simple with crispy bacon and hash browns with egg. It came with a side of green sauce. Not the best breakfast burrito I've had but solid. My BFs burrito was a little to mayo heavy in my opinion but the sisig was crispy and it was a unique burrito. Overall fast service and delicious dishes. Would love to try the sweet dishes my next visit!

Yelp
What a shame. We tried this place once before and it was just ok but decided to give it another try. It was a relatively slow Thursday lunch. I was so excited for chicken and waffles. I watched my plate sit under the lamp for 15+ minutes to see them serve it to me cold. When I complained, he brought me back a new waffle and twice fried chicken... same as the first I'm pretty sure. They apologized and then laughed... guess they don't need my business.

Yelp
Had to come back to my favorite brunch restaurant and it's as good as I remember! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Friendly and efficient service! **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Cute, spacious interior with a good amount of patio seating as well. **Price & portion, 5/5** Fantastic portion sizes that are great for sharing. Bring a friend (or friends) so you can try more things! **Presentation, 5/5** Gorgeous! The Ube french toast and the lychee gin cocktail were especially gorgeous. **Taste, 5/5** - Lychee and gin cocktail: The gin is very strong if the popsicle hasn't melted yet, so make sure to crush it up and incorporate it into the drink first! I was impressed that the tea flavor still came through and the popsicle was fun and delicious! I do wish there was a bit more peach flavor in the popsicle though, as it appeared to just be canned lychee with slivers of canned peach, so the peach didn't infuse much flavor into either the popsicle or the drink. - Ube french toast: Such a perfect breakfast dish. Heavenly fluffy Ube whipped cream that isn't too sweet, fresh blueberries, tart passion fruit glaze, all soaked into some toasty bread. Must try! - Sisig burrito: Ultra savory with pops of refreshing herby aioli, succulent pork belly, and the most luscious runny egg. This can get a bit heavy, but pairs perfectly with a cold cocktail and sweeter dish :)

Yelp
Came here at 2:30PM to have a quick brunch, sign told me to wait outside so i did. A worker came out and said "it's 2:30, and we close at 3PM, so we can't have you eat here, but you can get something to go. Really? It's that much of an inconvenience to clean one table when there's still half an hour? Lazy, disrespectful, is a few words to describe this place. Take your business to another place that deserves your hard earned money.

Yelp
Arrival: 9:45am Sunday Wait-time: 5 mins Seating: Plenty of tables open Meal: $64.65 w/o tip 1) Ube French Toast ($17) - A must have. - I love all the flavors, I love that it's not heavy, and I love that you don't need syrup (it does come with it if you would like to add it). - Not too sweet, good texture, and flavor. - Bread stays together, does not fall apart (we ate this dish last). 2) Orange Chicken Salad ($16) - The chicken is the star of this dish. It really made the salad delicious. - This is a dish we ordered to balance out our meal. - Surprised at how delicious the chicken was (savory). 3) Sisig Burrito ($18) - Not super heavy, lighter than what you would expect for Sisig (which is usually oily/heavy) - Even though there wasn't a lot of porky belly, the portions really balanced each other out - Kalamansi aioli really taste true to the taste of the fruit - nice crispy-ness to the sisig too 4) Pandan Latte w/ espresso ($9) - served in a 16oz glass - tastes similar to matcha I would re-order the ube French toast, the chicken salad, and try another dish. My partner would re-order the ube French toast and try another dish.

Yelp
Upon walking in we were greeted and seated quickly . Our server was really nice and gave recommendations. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant along with really cute decore inside. My burrito was good and filling the bacon was 10/10!

Yelp
This place definitely gets busy over the weekend! We had to wait 20 minutes before getting seated outside. We ordered a latte, which was k. The Thai chile was very salty, I did replace the meat with avacado, I thought they were going to be slices, but it was guacamole style. It was just very salty. Breakfast Burrito was very good, delicious, and on the point! It came with salsa, which was very refreshing and tangy taste! The quiche was also good, it wasn't dry, which was great, very flavorful. Salad on the side was a nice touch! ... Service was okay, I felt the waitress was just slow, my water was not refilled, I had to tell her twice and then finally got some else to get water. There was a drink w lychee and popsicle inside it was very good, refreshing! It was a great morning. Pick me up. Overall, it's an okay place.

Yelp
Service and food were wonderful! Loved it! The fried chicken and waffle was superb. We got the hot/spicy one. Forgot what it was called.

Yelp
Upon arrival, we waited a staggering 50 minutes for a table for three, despite available outdoor seating marred by uncleared plates, extending the wait time. Opting for the ube French toast, I found the ube cream lacking authentic flavor, resembling more of food coloring than genuine ube essence. The Sig Sig Burrito failed to impress, overwhelmed by excessive guacamole and lacking the signature crunch and flavor expected from Filipino cuisine. Although the Chicken and Waffles fared slightly better, the chicken lacked seasoning and freshness, while the waffle suffered from sogginess, lacking the desired crispiness. Service was mediocre overall, although one server stood out for her attentiveness. Considering the price point, the quality and flavor of the dishes fell short of expectations. While I've experienced exceptional eateries elsewhere, unfortunately, this restaurant failed to meet the mark for me.

Yelp
As a Filipino and Kapampangan, I feel it is my cultural duty to make it clear that the Sisig Burrito DOES NOT have traditional Sisig in it (neither Aling Lucing's version nor Sisig Manila for those who know the difference). It is more accurate to call it a Pork Belly Burrito instead of a SISIG Burrito. Needless to say, I was disappointed after my first bite. With that being said, the burrito itself was delicious - pork belly with the calamansi mayo tasted great - hence the 4-star instead of a 3-star rating. Other than that, the service was good. My party of five adults with a baby and two dogs were seated out on the patio after a 30-minute wait on the weekend. They accommodated our request to sit at the bigger table. If you are a Filipino or are familiar with Filipino food, temper your expectations for the Sisig Burrito. You have been warned!

Yelp
- Fast and friendly service - went for brunch on a weekday so not much of a wait - small (free) parking lot - only 2 restrooms (each with a full door; anybody can go in either so long as it's free) CHAMPAGNE FLIGHT: tasty and unique flavors. My friend and I agreed the Passion Fruit and Hibiscus were the best. UBE FRENCH TOAST: SOOO good - definitely worth the hype. Perfect amount of sweet. You can really taste every ingredient. SOBA NOODLE SALAD (we added pork belly): it was refreshing and low on carb (if you're mindful of that) but it was just lacking some depth. We were happy that we added pork belly to that to bring out some more flavor, though it was kinda dry... some sauce or dressing (for the whole thing) would've been great. I can't even imagine how dry the Pork Belly Bowl is... Overall, I'd probably come back, but not to wait more than 30 minutes. I'm still really interested in their burrito and Taro Blueberry pie so I kind of need to come back!

Yelp
This place is always super crowded in the weekends, so we went on a Tuesday and man was this worth the hype. Excellent food, very nice portion size.

Yelp
Loved the food! Our server was cool and checked on us the perfect amount. Nice location with outdoor seating. I had the breakfast burrito. It was flavorful, a nice portion and the bacon was crispy. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in Newport.

Yelp
I got the churro French toast and it was honestly weird and I'm not a fan of it. It's weirdly bland and they have this really sweet fruit sauce that goes with it and they just don't pair together In my opinion. I would definitely try something else but not that. Our server was sweet and always checked in but she could have filled up our water more. It's a cute spot and they have seating inside and out.
