Yelp
Came here for breakfast with the foodie sidekick and my dad. This used to be Claim Jumpers and although it still has its bones, the interior is much brighter with breakfast diner vibes. There's a surface lot and it's free, but you might need to circle around a few times to find an opening parking spot.
THE FOOD.
- Filet Mignon Béarnaise | Nice cut of two, 3 oz. filet Mignon meat, cooked medium on a split English muffin and poached eggs on top. Hollandaise sauce is yolky with a somewhat thicker consistency. Got a Caesar salad for my side and the portion size was more than I expected! Leafy greens in a Caesar dressing with croutons and a generous pile of Parmesan cheese. Really great dish.
- House Benedict | Hickory smoked shoulder bacon with avocado mashed in. We got this dish with a side of hashbrown chips which were crispy but still retained a little mushiness.
- Breakfast Burrito | A little of everything: scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, sausage, cheddar cheese, hashbrown chips, and a side of salsa.
THE DRUNK DRINK.
- Bloody Mary | Fairly straightforward; a bit of spice, but not insurmountable. Loved the onion, olive, pickle, and bacon garnishes!
THE RESERVATION.
I recommend making reservations as this place was packed when we went. Reservations or joining the waitlist can be made through Yelp.
THE RETURN?
I'd come back to try other dishes.
