7/12/25 - I've been here few times now. I really love the aesthetic of this place. The entrance you go through the garden before entering the building. Every time I have been I am amazed at their Rosemary bush. There is some sitting right in front of the building and then some in the back that is shared with the place next door. They have nice drinks but can be a little bit more on the expensive side. I haven't really had any of their food but friends usually get their hot dogs or glizzy as they would say. I've only come at night to enjoy the bar scene. The additional back yard area with seating is pretty cool. They have shipping containers. The last time I went I got the Wanda vision for a drink and it was delicious. It was a nice floral tasting, which is my favorite. Like I said I really like the vibe here and love to come for some drinks and outdoor area.

Google
HALEY was our server and she was superb; friendly, fun, attentive and efficient. The food…all of it, outstanding!! 😋 Casual - easy going atmosphere. I will come back. Thanks!

Come here for happy hour or brunch! Perfect outdoor garden seating on a beautiful day. Creative cocktails and absolutely delish dishes (even on rainy days the chili or grits bowls are such a comfort). You truly cannot go wrong. Very nourishing and satisfying food. Friendly and attentive staff. Will continue to come back again and again!

Google
Very cool eclectic vibe. Ginger beer needs to be sold in growlers or some sort of takeaway. It is very good. The mushroom gravy was delicious. I am picky about menus being explicit. I had avocado toast which was good but came with a bag of chips which is beneath the vibe. There was a parenthetical suggestion to add frittata (which says potato and egg to me) but didn't indicate the up charge. I think suggesting a side of tots (ore ida? Though well cooked super crunchy) or small servings of grits would have been nice. Portions are large. Friend had chili with pulled chicken which was great. Another had park place bowl... Crispy tots and mushroom gravy with other flavors... Very good. Next time I am going to try the sos. Server didn't offer or even make note of the specials which included dill pickle soup which we would have tried but missed the specials board. hope to try next time. We will go back for dinner drinks to catch the perro Blanco food next door. Service was fine but didn't sell the place. Reading the 1 star reviews, we were checked in, food came timely, they bussed our table. Just service didn't live up to the vibe.

Google
Good food. Interesting location. We sat inside and we had a serious fly problem. It was a little warm but nothing too crazy

Google
I specifically spoke with staff about the three things that create a flawless experience. Food, service, and atmosphere. They nailed it. This chef here makes every item with love. The plating and display are phenomenal. The staff is pleasant, personable, and efficient. The food was so far above expectations I had to review. The drinks were once again on another level. Now let's get to atmosphere, it was quaint, small but welcoming, and just the right size to feel personable yet provide a booming experience. I will come here again when I am in Virginia. Kait, thanks!!!

Google
I absolutely love this place! It's kind of an eclectic, laid-back, and super chill spot!! The food was awesome, and the customer service was on point!! It's definitely worth the visit!!

Google
The food is so good here!!! I've eaten at Toast several times but never left a review. Today's dish changed that. I had to say something today!!! My taste buds and my body did the most silly dance as I enjoyed every bite of my meal! The food was so fresh and flavorful!!! I had the Pig Taco and my husband had the Quiche Me! If you are reading this you must try it!!! The cocktails are great as well! I will be back again very soon!

Yelp
I got the curry chicken lunch special and its delicious. We got take out but the customer service was excellent. I cant wait to try something else on their menu.

Yelp
Great service, food, & drinks! The carnitas bowl was very tasty & filling and the mimosa pitcher hit the spot! Enjoyed eating in the outdoor garden area!
google avatar

Gabby R.

Yelp
The hash bowl was very heavy and a large portion. If it has a little less sauce it would be easier to stomach all in one sitting SOS plate was yummy. A little salty but overall delicious We sat inside and we still had a lot of flies and no way to keep them away. The temperature was warm but not intolerable. Service was great.

Yelp
Have been to 2 of there restaurants good food, great choices and can pick up stuff to take home. Even when they were busy the line moved quickly.

Yelp
The first time I went I was a bit underwhelmed but I recently went a second time with a much better experience! The menu has a lot of options, the service is friendly, and an earthy, refined space where hipster creativity meets hippie soul, all in a chill, inviting atmosphere. I got the City Slicker sandwich and the French toast bread pudding, both were yummy! The sandy reheats well the next day for breakfast too. (The rewards program has a nice birthday perk, yall) They have a bar but I don't drink, but would recommend for a bite to eat, a place to chill indoors or outdoors in nice weather, alone or with friends.

Yelp
My fiance and I went here for brunch and came out of it ready to take a nap. The bowl that I got was really tasty and so filling, and my fiance got a unique spin of french toast sandwiching thick bacon pieces with syrup and really tasty gravy (ask your server if they know about this, it's the bomb!). The drinks were also very good. My lemonade and his nitro coffee was well made. The space is on the smaller side. It has a bar in the middle, but not a lot of seating indoors. Although the place has outdoor seating, there is no covering/awning so you're pretty much exposed to rainy/cold weather--at least when we saw it. If you do choose to sit inside and it gets really busy, it can get quite crammed. But on slower days, it's a cozy place to be! The building is tucked in and almost kind of hidden, so it gives a little bit of privacy from the busy streets of Norfolk. The parking right outside the building is very limited and tight, so you might have to do some street parking on their busier days. The waitress we had was very friendly and personable. It was a very chill brunch experience all around!

Yelp
8/10 Had the loaded tots and they were on pretty tasty. Hotdog 6/10 6/10 Drinks were strong lacked in flavor for me Service however is 10/10 and that alone will make me come back It's a small quaint place nestled beside Pedro Blanco it's very cute and laidback

Yelp
What a very funky and cool place for brunch (and possibly more, but we were there for brunch). The service was top-notch, the food was great, and the brunch cocktails were very good. The neighborhood isn't particularly attractive, but Toast has done a great job with the landscaping and decor. It feels a bit like an 'oasis' from fairly drab surroundings. Wish we'd taken pics of the food and drinks to share them, but we were having to much fun chatting with our friends. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Another solid brunch experience close to home. Good service, yummy food, and a drink made for my wife just the way she likes it (and how she describes me) -- sweet and strong! Carnitas w grits was fab (repeat performance). Wide enjoyed the Avacado toast. We sat at the bar to avoid waiting for conventional seating but lost nothing experience-wise.

Yelp
The Spicy Bloody Maria is THE WAY TO GO if you're a big bloody mary fan. All the garnishes are pickled perfectly and go very well with the cocktail. The breakfast food and sandwiches are all very good too. I highly recommend coming here for the Sunday brunch. Usually, the service is decently fast if you sit at the bar, and all the bartenders/waiters/waitresses are very nice. Every year, they love doing 12 Nights of Old Fashioneds in December for the holiday season, and it is POPPING from 7-11pm here. They share their parking lot with perro blanco, if there are no spots, street parking is encouraged. They also sell/use the lupo hot sauce form perro blanco, which is a great hot sauce I recommend putting on top of the eggs or eating with tater tots.

Yelp
Very good service and the food was excellent. The service was great and very pleasant atmosphere

Yelp
I love coming here. The ambiance is like an industrial NYC feel. One of my favorite things about this place is the natural sunlight through their large windows. It's never too crowded, which my introverted a$$ likes. Service, food & drinks always 10/10. Their portions are huge for the price and that's another reason I keep coming back :) (also they gave me a birthday gift for $15 off any food item, that's classy)

Yelp
Really good food, chill vibes, pleasant atmosphere. The chili was the highlight, def recommend

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. You are greeted immediately upon entering. It's not a very large place but there's seating right outside with additional seating out back. It's a good thing they have so much space because they are always packed. I tend to get the same thing when I go because to me it's total perfection. Their chili and hash bowl is comfort food at its finest. This time around I also tried their homemade pop tart. What a treat!!! All those flaky layers and the perfect amount of sweetness leaves you wanting more. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You will definitely be very happy.

Yelp
Went on a Thursday. We were the only ones in there for a while. The service was okay. I ordered a whiskey sour and the waitress didn't give me an opportunity to pick my options of whiskey brand. Even though they were listed on the menu. It was like she was in a hurry. But we were the only ones in there. She did the same thing with the check. Just seemed to rush and seemed annoyed. The food was good. Very different, but good. We were there for dinner but will go back and try their brunch one day.

Yelp
Excellent! Eggs Dubb is comforting: Cheesy, perfect soft eggs, and bacon cuts through. The salad is a perfect fresh pairing. Park Place is well-balanced. The Lupo sauce adds a great kick to the chicken. Shared a puff tart, and this is nothing like a mass produced pastry! A decadent sweet treat!

Yelp
I had a reservation that I made several days ago for four people. It was my mom's 71st birthday and she wanted to try toast.. we get to the restaurant and I tell the gentleman behind the bar that I have a reservation for four at 1:30. He didn't even ask me my name. He says we don't have any new reservations. I said well I have a text confirming my reservation for four at 1:30 would you like to see it? He said no it doesn't matter. We don't have any reservations some mornings we don't turn on the reservation machine I said well do you have a table for four? He said no, but you could sit outside and one of the picnic tables even though it was super hot and my mom is 70 years old. We said sure we'll sit out at the picnic tables and then we wait and wait and he doesn't say anything else to us and then a young lady comes behind the bar and I say hi we were waiting to be seated outside. She said oh we don't have any menus right now you just order right here self service I'll get you some menus waited about 10 minutes got no menu or any attention or explanation. Have never been treated so poorly will not go back disappointed because I heard the food was actually good..

Yelp
An absolute gem! Stopped in for breakfast and could not be more happy. This is a great looking place in a historic building. The staff are great. I had the quiche and it was amazing. Light fluffy and perfectly seasoned. The French pastry crust was perfectly browned and buttery.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was not your typical menu, definitely something out of the ordinary if you're feeling adventurous. The service was good we sat at the bar and there wasn't a crown in there so we were promptly helped. The place was small l, cute, unique. The only downfall is the parkin, that's why it's rated a 4. But other than that the food was good. Worth giving business to.
google avatar

Micah J.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, but the front of house service time was absolutely insane. 1 hour until food arrived at the table, roughly 40 minutes for the kitchen to push it out. From the look of it, they seem very understaffed. I couldn't tell if there was only one person in the kitchen or not, but she also seemed to be waiting tables. If you're understaffed, make sure to not take on more tables than able. The food was good but not memorable.

Yelp
Stopped by the Norfolk Social Market held in the next lot and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. It was such a hot day so we decided to not eat in the garden but it was absolutely lovely outside. I ordered the Sausage egg and cheese sandwich and subbed for pulled pork per recommendation on the the menu. The sandwich was sizable with a nice garlic sauce and the egg was nice and fluffy and moist. It was good but even better when I ate the leftovers later. My friend got a bacon egg and cheese which he rated an 8.5/10. I additionally got the mercury retrograde slushy which was delightfully refreshing on such a hot day. Even though we sat in we were still able to take in the incredible views surrounding the restaurant which is super charming in its interior. The staff were super nice as well and answered all questions I had regarding the menu. Definitely recommend this spot for a nice bite. We ended up going to sit in the garden for me to finish my slushy which was the perfect end to this visit.

Yelp
This place is a must go to in the fall and winter. Beautiful outdoor seating surrounded by plant life. The food is amazing too. Their bowls are definitely the way to go. Full bar and music sometimes on the weekends.

Yelp
I love Toast! The food, drinks, and staff are consistently amazingg!!! The quality is top-notch, and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. Their drinks are especially fantastic, and the location couldn't be better!! However, this isn't the first, second, or even third time I've noticed being overcharged :/ Despite addressing this with staff, it's frustrating to see discrepancies happen after I've accounted for taxes, service fees, tip and the listed item prices. While I'll keep coming back for the incredible experience, I really hope this issue gets resolved.

Yelp
First time at toast and we had brunch there and it was great! The service was amazing, the outdoor patio was great and warm, and the food was amazing. Great brunch place! Would come again for sure!!

Yelp
Okay, I feel like I had harshly rated this place in the past. I went with my best friend for Sunday brunch, and we sat at the bar. This experience was nothing short of a 5 star experience, from the immediate seating option, to the service, to the mimosas & food. They have a ton of non alcoholic spirits for those of you who do not partake but still want a drink here and there. They also have a ton of alcoholic spirits to have. I got the avocado toast with tots and my bff got the BEC with tots. The tots were so good- we both agreed they didn't need ketchup, which is not something I am used to. The avocado toast was so delicious, and I am eager to go again!

Yelp
Was not pleased with this restaurant at all.. the ambience is nice and the waiter was friendly. But the food was lackluster. And they gave us expired chips. I had the Philly and tater tots, fiance had the bacon and egg sandwich that was really dry with expired chips and my daughter had the berry poptart . My tater tots tasted like it was left over from yesterday and someone heated them up and brought them to me.. no crunchy.. chewy and dry

Yelp
I went to Toast's Negroni Week Big Negroni Night tonight! It was amazing! A special night to celebrate a classic aperitif. Toast went way out with this one! A gelato booth with Negroni flavored gelato, a dozen Negroni variations to choose from, a Negroni fountain, a live jazz trio, free Campari t-shirts and more! Service was great as we tried several of the Negroni variations! We had the 1970 Portorosso Cup (a traditional Negroni), Bragging Rights, Burnt Offerings, Tree Among Shrubs, and the French New Wave! Each with its own twist yet retaining the classic taste and classic Campari bitterness of the Negroni. If you've ever been to Toast, you know the vibes. Relaxing and inviting, summoning you to grab a drink and socialize among friends and acquaintances. With its open air outside seating. Mingling among the gravel lot or chatting among the tables surrounded by various flora. Inside was a DJ playing period music of the mid 20th century. Taking you back to a place where the Negroni just feels like the right drink to be sippin. Toast went above an beyond with this one and I can't wait to see what they come up with next! Look out for these type of events from Toast that build community and bring individuals together around a shared interest.

Yelp
There are so many great restaurants in Norfolk, and Toast is one of my favorites. The folks that work here are so friendly and always make you feel welcome. This place can get pretty crowded, but there is generally outside seating or at the bar. The food is consistently excellent. There are great vegetarian options also. I've had the Eggy Dub which is a light and flavorful mix of breakfast and lunch with greens and ricotta toast. The Hash and Beans bowl was such a hit as well. The vegetarian chili and mushroom gravy was a unique combo but oh-so-good. For me, their cookies and tarts weren't as spectacular as their savory dishes but still not bad. If you're looking for a place with a fun eclectic ambiance with outdoor seating for a nice day, Toast can't be missed.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere. Love the exterior, interior and their outdoor seating. We came on a Saturday during brunch and we were surprised that it wasn't packed. When you sit outside, you order at the counter and then food is dropped off to your table, which is what we did. Drinks: I tried their Aperol Spritz slush. I am a huge fan of Aperol Spritz' and a slush sounded excellent on a hot day. Flavor was great, but didn't taste much like an Aperol Spritz. It was far more acidic than I expected. Probably wouldn't get it again, but loved the idea. Food: we tried three things. The avocado toast, the cheesesteak sandwich, and one of the grits bowls. Since the restaurant is literally called TOAST, we expected some 5-star avocado toast, but surprisingly it was the one dish that we didn't love. It seemed completely un-seasoned and sadly boring. The entrees however were both delicious. The cheesesteak was super flavorful, highly recommend, and the grits bowl was hearty and huge! Would definitely order both again.

Yelp
Great Food. Relaxed casual environment. This restaurant is in a industrial type area, I definitely thought while driving there that I was in the wrong place. Walking in the restaurant is an artsy, urban, rustic decor. I love how they took an older building and brought life to it. This restaurant is small but has so much personality. Also I love that they have an actual pay phone in the restaurant. On to the most important part...the FOOD. It is called toast, because they have fresh delicious bread. It is not just the toast but everything that goes with it which is perfectly prepared. We started with the Taco Pig, which was pork carnitas, guacamole, crema, corn salsa and all around deliciousness! Our little one had the chicken nugget kid's meal, it comes with nuggets, fruit (I love that), chips and a juice or milk. Now the BEST thing we had tonight was the Porkscallion sandwich. Wow, texture, flavor, the frittata was cooked perfectly that it complemented the pulled pork and of course it was sandwiched between two slices of their delicious fresh bread. Drinks...my husband enjoyed the Tom Collins and the Negronis. The cocktails were expertly prepared and he is very particular about these cocktails, not to mention they were on the happy hour menu. Desserts, we tried the Churro which is a delicious twist on the Churro dessert, we really enjoyed it. Their Strawberry Puff is freshly baked interpretation of a pop tart. It was flaky, hot, fresh and good. Our night did not go completely smooth. There was a wicked bad storm outside. Water rushed in one area, they quickly fixed the unexpected issue. There were some delays bringing out our food, but I really didn't mind because we really enjoyed our company and the environment. The staff was so helpful, kind and you can tell how much they value their customers. The restaurant has a great vibe. Overall it was a great experience, we will definitely come back again soon!

Yelp
The food was flavorful. Now is it worth the money yesss. The service was great!! Appreciate the employees for checking on us every once in a while. The ambiance of the place is giving calm chill and relaxed.

Yelp
This second time ordering to go from Toast was much better. It was lunch time, Not dark and hard to find where it's located especially parking.I was readily greeted by the bartender, I could see they were already busy with most seats filled at the bar and peripheral tables. I ordered the carnitas bowl. I was offered iced water while I wait, great customer service. Sat by the window with a view to patio seating although it was quite chilly out for anyone to enjoy the outdoors.it took about 15 minutes for my carnitas bowl to be ready. Once I got home, I was very pleased with how pleasing the presentation looks even as carry out. The carnitas bowl was served with grits unlike most elsewhere served on bed of greens.grits was delicious, just a hint of saltiness that allowed the carnitas to be the star of the dish. Carnitas was well seasoned, moist but not overpowering with sauce. Sometimes allowing great cooked meat to shine without hiding behind heavy sauce is the pure clean way to enjoy it! Everything else was equally delicious and were complementary to the carnitas and grits: the hard poached egg, the large scoop of guacamole, the melted sharp cheddar cheese and the warm fresh corn and onion salad. Everything was so hearty, fresh, delicious!!! Oh did I mention you have choice of sourdough or multi grain toast to go with your carnitas bowl!!!

Yelp
I usually love this place for the vibe and scenery. The drinks and food are pretty decent it's a cool little place to hang out but, they need to do better customer service wise. Giving one star strictly due to customer service. I came in with someone who has an injury and this requires back support which none of their stools have at all. The bar tended told us she wouldn't sit is at a table bc we were a pair. We went to the other side of the bar like the bartender suggested as those stools also offered no support. I asked a runner if it was possible to wait for a table and I explained why we were making the request. The runner was nice and asked the bartender if it were possible for us to wait for a table which she responded with an attitude to the runner which wasn't necessary. It was very unprofessional of that bartender/hostess to be so dismissive, Aside from this interaction the experience here is usually pleasant. I hope that they just don't make a habit of treating people who are injured or disabled in such a manner because it actually is a cool place.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try this cute place for breakfast after staying on granby st for VDAY weekend. The inside is very small and decorated hipster. It was very packed so they had us give our order and walked next door to sit at Perro Blanco. We ordered mimosas and the City Slicker sandwich with tator tots. The sandwich featured pulled chicken, frittata eggs, and bacon. We were surprised that the chicken was very good quality flavorful and moist. The tots had a very good seasoning to them and wasn't just bland. The mimosas were very different and not your typical just champagne and juice but more of mixed drink. Toast is an excellent place for brunch. They have a great variety of cocktails and food choices. The vibe is open, friendly and very laid back. There is a ton of outdoor seating and quick service. I am obsessed with the decor and blue sofa at Perro Blanco. We will definitely be back when the weather gets warmer with friends.

Yelp
This is a cute little local spot! We came for brunch on a Saturday and it was packed. The restaurant has both inside and outside seating, and would be awesome for nice weather days! We tried a few different drinks, the bloody Mary's were great, and the Nitro Sazerac (Silk Pajamas Ed.) packed a punch (in a good way). We ordered the SOS and the French Toast BP *Mayor of Flavortown Edition. And the little one ordered the grilled cheese! Everything was bomb.com!

Yelp
Fun place! We were here just passing through Norfolk. Simple menu prepared nicely. Great modern hipster vibe.

Loved this spot! We came here after dinner for drinks + dessert, and it did not disappoint. The vibe was great and we enjoyed sitting at the bar!

Yelp
This was one of the best brunches I've had in awhile. I was visiting friends in Virginia and one of them suggested having brunch my last day there. We needed a place that had a variety of food options and while I can eat almost anything one of my friends is vegan. We got there around 11:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded and we were able to easily find a seat (keep in mind that it's outdoor seating only right now due to COVID19) and then had a short wait in line to order our food. I had the Salmon plate, a side of homefries, and a side of bacon. One friend has avocado toast with bacon added and my other friend had the avocado toast vegan style and the veg and chili bowl vegan style. Everything was delicious and the restaurant was so accommodating to our requests/modifications. Oh! I almost forgot!!! We ordered a pitcher of mimosas and it was a real pitcher!! Like not a carafe but a pitcher. Definitely got our money's worth. Unfortunately I don't live in Virginia so I won't be able to visit again for awhile but both friends are local and both plan to visit again soon. Thank you for great food and drinks for our girls day brunch.

Yelp
Delicious! I love their fresh mimosas, shrimp and grits were amazing, cool unique vibe.

Yelp
I have only been here twice. But haven't had issues. We met up here with other family and dined outside. Outside seating consisted of three large picnic tables that offered more social distancing than the smaller tables closer to the restaurant. The picnic tables can hold about 10 people comfortably and are partitioned by flowers offering privacy. The chili bowl was plentiful, hot and hearty. I had heaps leftover and took it home. My brother and niece had sandwiches that were hefty and satisfying. My other niece had shrimp and grits which she said were good as well. My sister ordered a brioche sundae and was nice enough to share and golly day was it yummy! Definitely a dessert that merits sharing.

Yelp
Great customer service and bomb food. Ordered the BEC sandwich with tots. Super delicious and fresh. They have seating outside, inside, and a full bar sitting area. They have a TON of drinks and delicious food options. Sat outside and had great service. Def recommend coming here for brunch

A C.

Yelp
Good brunch food. Local shop. Good service, good ambience, your typical brunch spot. I wouldn't say it blew me away or anything but it's solid brunch food.

Yelp
Delicious Food! The Strawberry Pop Tart is a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth. The Verde Chicken Grits was absolutely delicious. Super friendly and helpful staff and great atmosphere! It also feels hidden away, entrance is through a little path in trees onto the patio, with a hint of local charm that I adored! 10/10 will definitely be coming back to try everything else on the menu!

Yelp
Toast is a hidden gem in Norfolk! We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a lunch. It wasn't too busy, we were able to order quickly at the window and found a seat at their outdoor seating area. The food was delicious! I ordered the meatball sub and it was huge! The meatballs and bolognese sauce were fantastic and the bread was toasted perfectly. My boyfriend got the City Slicker sandwich and it was amazing. The chicken was great. We both got the home fries with our sandwiches and they were crispy and seasoned really well. Highly recommend for a brunch spot!

Yelp
Just go there, everything about it is great!!!! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service. Love it here.

Yelp
A friend and I were in the area getting some coffee and we really wanted to grab brunch. Toast came up on our search and was in a close enough distance that we didn't need to move the car and could walk. I normally look closer into a menu before going anywhere making sure there are at least a few GF choices. I figured we'll it's a breakfast place I could at least get eggs and a protein. The weather was fairly nice so we decided to sit outside. There are two outdoor seating areas and it is dog friendly as well. You grab a menu and order inside and they give you a number to bring back to your table. This menu is not your average brunch menu it is quite unique. There were pairings of Chili options, Grits options, sandwiches, salads and open face toasts etc. They also have a few items under Brunch and dessert. I really should've asked more about the menu but I decided to go the easy route of Shrimp & grits. I should've asked more about the way they prepared it to make sure it was safe for me to eat. My friend ordered the Verde chicken grit bowl. We both love grits and their style of grits is definitely unique. It wasn't bad but not something I'd order again. We both ended up adding extra salt and thought there were too many extra items added to the grits. We both ended up having stomach aches for the rest of the day. Personally for me I know most likely my entree wasn't gluten free which is my fault. It is a cute restaurant but there is just nothing appealing on the menu for me.

Yelp
Street parking and decent service. We had 3 people and orfered the pitcher of mimosas which was pretty good but there was a lot of ice. I ordered the Quiche Me and my boyfriend ordered the Smoked Salmon. Both were decent sized portions and we enjoyed the home Fries. The coconut macaroon was also delicious but just a tad too oily on the bottom. Outside looked cool as well and seemed like a great spot to hangout in the summer.

Yelp
Toast has been on my 'Brunching Across HR' list for a while so I was able to check it off this weekend while in the area with an old friend doing yoga nearby. At around 11am they were fairly busy so we managed to squeeze into two seats at the bar and were quickly brought waters by a server. We browsed the menu and chose two items to try - I saw several that I was curious about - and the food was out pretty quickly probably 10 minutes later. My friend went with the Roasted Veg Bowl for $12.35 which was chili with broccoli, potatoes, carrots, soft boiled eggs and quest fresco with toast. Pretty hearty and filling for sure and a large portion. I went with the Eggs Italia for $13.65 which was also a huge portion. It had 3 soft boiled eggs with roasted veggies, a yummy vegan Beyond Sausage red sauce, topped with mixed greens and shaved parmesan and two buttered pieces of toast. HUGE portion and it had a lot of potatoes in the bottom which must be the mixed veggies. It was too hearty and rich for me so I ate about half but did enjoy the red sauce and veggies a lot. I saw some interesting items on the menu and would like to come back with my fiancee when I'm starving to death and want to load on carbs bc that's when I'd want to eat the heavy items on the menu here. They do have some salads but it's most carbs carbs carbs. With a name like "Toast" it's what you'd expect. It's small, with an outdoor patio and seating and tables inside for about 12-15 people, bar seating, and hightop seating around the windows. They also said they use a nearby dining room on weekends as well where you can order there and walk around the building and sit, we didn't look in there but that provides even more seating when they're busy. I liked the vibe, the cute murals on the wall with toast action scenes, and the bar. Would def. come back again when I'm in the mood for more carbs and savories.
