"Visit Toasted Oak during brunch for some seriously souped-up poutine, because being hungover calls for something extravagent. Not only are these fries topped with gravy and cheese curds, but also pork belly confit, onions, mushrooms, and a poached egg." - Mickey Lyons, Eater Staff

If you’re looking for an intimate date night spot, this is a worth checking out! We were in the area and looking for a last-minute spot to meet up with friends and discovered Toasted Oak. The dimmed atmosphere with a fireplace gave a warm and comforting feel. They also have a market with an extensive wine selection. We started with a couple appetizers and cocktails. My drink “Stick the Dealer” was tasty and even had a little Ace card garnish- nice touch! The mussels were good sized and well flavored, and the tenderloin tip appetizer was amazing- super tender! Our server was pleasant and helpful with the menu. She even brought out pumpkin bread slices and homemade whipped butter while we waited for our meal which was DELICIOUS. We ordered the lamb chop, chicken risotto, pot roast and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The pasta is made in house which was a bonus and the pot roast was SUPER tender and was a generous size short rib, and the 14 oz tomahawk lamb chop melted in your mouth. The ice cream flight featuring the delicious Guernsey ice cream was the perfect ending. For a fine dining meal, we really enjoyed the food in the intimate setting!

This was a nice place. We are outside but the restaurant itself was so nice. The atmosphere was calm, the staff was pleasant and the food was amazing. The steak omlete which I didn't take a picture of, that was absolutely delicious as well.

Food was good. Ordered the Mixed Board as an appetizer and Airline Chicken Risotto for my entree. I would have given this experience 5 stars, but the waitress was short with us at times.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars if it was an option on Google reviews. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. My initial thoughts were this place is going to be great. But when I asked if I could customize my omelet and substitute a topping the waitress said no. Right away I knew we were going to be disappointed. The waitress did a great job it was father's day, surprisingly it was not busy. Everyone's food was good not great. For example I ordered an omelet the way it came and the sausage in the omelet was undercooked. Also I had a side of sausage and it also was undercooked. To sum the experience up if the menu was a bit broader I think we would have had a better experience. Hopefully someone of authority reads this and makes the necessary changes. We may or may not be back. To note the atmosphere was great so to stop by and have a drink would be a good alternative to having a meal

Been here for work time lunch. I had the kale salad with steak and loved it. Timing was not friendly to use for a work lunch. Glad I tried this place. Worth trying this place and it might become a go-to for you. Friendly staff.

Worst service I've had in a while. Not even busy, drinks took 30 minutes(2 bloody marys). Never seen a bartender work so slow. Tables are gross, food took over an hour. Lazy management and servers. Poorly run, would not recommend. Worked in the restaurant business for 20+ years, I would be embarrassed to be a part of this place. Update, this is the garbage I got after waiting more than an hour. Pathetic. Update 2. Owner got back to me in 15 minutes about the poor service and apologized. Hopefully they take that same approach to the customers who eat there. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this place needs immediate improvement in their service.

This stylish restaurant is inside a hotel near twelve oaks mall. It has a more casual market setting to it as well as formal sit down dining area. The food was good, I liked the cornbeef hash. It is brought out in cast-iron pans to keep it warm presented on a wood board. The hostess wasn't very friendly, when a group if us walked in she just pointed where we are supposed to go. There is no bathroom in the restaurant, you have to walk allllll the way to the other side of the lobby hotel for a bathroom.
