Family-run since 2005, known for generous set menus, kimchi fried rice finished on the grill lid, and hands-on help at the table. KQED’s Check, Please! and South Bay guide both spotlighted its feast-friendly format.

You want to have an authentic korean style bbq. This is one of those great place for that. Great numbers of side dishes, their sea food pan cake is a plus that is included in every combo selection along side of their meats. Definitely and highly recommended

Google
Restaurant only had a few tables filled when I visited on a late Sunday afternoon. Steamed egg was mostly broth. Kalbi was way too sweet, almost teriyaki sweet and half bones. Tofu soup was average. Banchan especially the fish cake was also way too sweet. Set menu Seafood pancake was smaller than a personal pizza. Overall very disappointed with the meal considering the set menu price point ~ $70 with kalbi and steamed egg.

Google
One of the best Korean BBQ spots I’ve been to! The kalbi was super tender, and every cut of meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Side dishes were fresh and varied, and the prices for drinks were surprisingly low. The tofu soup and bean paste soup were also really tasty and comforting. Highly recommend – I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Tobang is *good* but it's somewhat odd in that only select meats can be grilled at the table. Those meats are the bricket, beef belly and pork belly. Every other meet -- e.g. kalbi, bulgogi -- come pre-cooked. They are delicious, though, so no issues. Finally, go ahead and order the Special meal packages, which are cheaper and generous portioned.

LOVED my experience here! we reserved a table for 6 on a Thursday night and we were seated promptly. We ordered 2 specials and it was more than enough for us. the service was fast and the food was DELICIOUS. the portions were hefty and the sides were tasty too. I truly loved my meal there and will be back.

Google
A popular Korean BBQ restaurant that has been around for many years in the Koreatown of Santa Clara. They have four sets of menu for 2-4 people. The waitress would ask you to pick out the meats as soon as you enter the door before you sit down at the table. Our waitress recommended brisket, pork belly, bulgogi (sliced beef), and galbi (beef short ribs), as well as the steamed egg for the kids. We also added a spicy BBQ chicken. The brisket and pork belly were a bit dry but still pretty tasty; the bulgogi tasted a bit too sweet; the galbi and the spicy BBQ chicken were the best. You can dip the meats in four different kinds of sauces (fermented bean sauce, soy sauce, spicy sauce, and sesame oil). Their side dishes were all very good. The set also cane with a seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice or plain rice. There was a lot of food for the set. We barely finished everything. Service was very efficient.

When you first walk in, you order right away by choosing the set menu you would like to order from. We got the Set A menu, which has a choice of 2 meats, 1 seafood pancake, choice of kimchi fried rice or steamed rice, lettuce wraps, and side dishes. We also ordered an add on of beef soft tofu soup. For the two meats, we got the brisket and beef belly. Both meats were really good! It was soft and tender once cooked. Seafood pancake was airy and crispy. For the beef tofu soup, we got mild and it was the perfect amount of mild spice. I loved the soup! Servers here were very friendly and they brought out the food items really quickly. A+ service!

Google
Among many Korean BBQ restaurants, this place truly stands out for both quality and value. Compared to other BBQ spots, the pricing is very reasonable, allowing families to enjoy a satisfying and filling meal together. Side dishes are generously refilled, the meat quality is excellent, and the service is consistently attentive and friendly. This is definitely a must-try Korean BBQ restaurant in the Bay Area.

Yelp
This is my go to korean bbq restaurant. The service is 10/10. The ladies are nice and attentive. Food is 10/10. Not your usual AYCE, but still worth the price.

Yelp
My family and I came to ToBang on Friday evening with a big group of 13. Thankfully I called earlier to reserve a spot since the waitlist was closed online, and they were more than able to accommodate us. Before we got seated, we chose what we were going to order. We ordered 2 - Special C and were told that normally those would feed 8 people, but they were going to make an exception. We were okay with the amount of food because we had 4 kids with our party. We also ordered extra sides. They were quick to bring the food out and were checking on us frequently. Everything was great. They refilled our sides many times. The only thing I would mention is that if you have a big party, be sure to tip at least 18%. They mention that it's recommended which I'm totally fine with, but was just a bit surprised that it was highlighted as we were paying. We would recommend coming here if you're looking for some good K-BBQ.

Yelp
There are many great Korean restaurants within this plaza, and ToBang is one of them. On a weekday evening, this restaurant was almost completely full. My friend and I were able to get seating immediately, and I love how the menu is organized into different meal sets. We tried their Special-A set and got an additional soup (kimchi jjigae). The meats we tried were pork belly and brisket. Both the brisket and pork belly were sliced thin, and they were delicious when grilled! There was a variety of banchan, along with cheese corn and seafood pancake. The kimchi jjigae was spicy and hearty, completing our meal. We could have eaten less and taken some leftovers as the portion size was generous, but my friend and I ended up eating to our hearts' content.

Yelp
Been coming to this place for years now, so this review is long overdue. I just went there with my spouse and a friend from out of town so this is my most up to date experience. Every time I come here I'm starving. I order a size down for the group I'm with (ie: if I'm with 3 ppl I order the set for 2) and we all leave stuffed with leftovers. Service is great, fast and attentive. Free bonchon refills make the meal more worthwhile. Cups and utensils are all metal, chopsticks are disposable. Meat is good quality and quantity for the price The sets include fewer items than they did back in the day but it's all good; I am still full when I leave. They have renovated the place with better fume hoods and they've expanded so I feel like the improvements in ambience compensate for the changes. We ordered the 1-2 ppl set, plus kalbi and an extra tofu soup. With tax it was $105. Came out to $35 a person. Very worthwhile I will be back, this place is open on Christmas on New years day fyi! Pics are post prandial, I am not great at grabbing pics beforehand. I will improve!

Yelp
ToBang is a gem I had no expectations for. Picked this place on a whim for lunch and was disappointed to find that it wasn't AYCE. My surprise when it was better than I thought. Banchan here was out of this world! Everything was a slap of umami, from potatoes, radish, fish cakes, japchae, and seaweed. Table set up was magical and I can't talk enough about how good the banchan was. The sets we ordered also came with seafood pancakes and those hit the spot too! When the meat came we got straight to business. You get a few choices but I recommend getting the bulgogi. It comes to you already cooked so you don't have to deal with the wait while the meat cooks which we all know of all too well. Bulgogi was also amazing on a bed of onions on a hot plate. At the end, the also gave us some yakults for our gut health! I couldn't ask for a better lunch. The servers were also the kindest, I felt like family was serving me. Like I finally had my own ajumma. They were so quick with serving water and sides. They really cared about us and whether or not we were enjoying our meal. They were flying through the restaurant and their hardwork is very apparent. God bless you aunties!

Yelp
Came here several times throughout the years, but giving a review for the most recent visit on the weekend. We had a party of 9 and called ahead to make reservations. When we arrived, our table was all set - place settings, sauces, cups, water. We ordered 2 of the Special-C. Everything tasted so good - the banchan, the meats, the steamed egg, the seafood pancake, the ramen, the kimchi fried rice, the galbi jjim, the tteokbokki. The food kept coming and coming. We had to keep making room on our table to fit everything. They cooked the meats right in front of us on the grill, and they were always so attentive! They kept coming back to refill our banchan without us needing to ask! They also were so generous and gave us an extra steamed egg on the house, and an extra ramen on the house too! Felt like royalty! Loved the hospitality and the special attention they gave us. They even gave us some kimchi fried rice to take home! So sweet!

Yelp
Can't believe I haven't been back to Tobang in forever! I remember really liking this place, but not sure why I didn't come back more often. Surprisingly they didn't have a wait at around 7pm on a Friday. This time, we were a party of 3 and got the 3 meat combo. Ordering was super on-the-spot efficiency, but still very friendly. All of the aunties were fun and kind! They really wanted to make us fat because they kept constantly asking if we wanted more refills of the sides!

Yelp
Great food for a good price. My party made a reservation 30 minutes in advance ahead on a Saturday lunch. Parking here is horrible though! Make sure to accommodate for that on a weekend. We ordered the set B which came with 3 meats from a selection. We opted for the beef belly, pork belly and for $9 extra, the galbi, which came cooked already. They refilled our side dishes and often checked up on us. Only concern I wanted to express was one of the servers seemed a little pushy/rushed us when ordering. Other servers were really nice and checked up on us a lot. Otherwise, food was good.

Yelp
4.5 stars for food 5 stars for service These women working here work SO hard and it doesn't go unnoticed. They're running around making sure the waitlist moves quickly, refilling up our banchans and waters, and constantly checking in on us. The KBBQ is so so tasty, and the service is just impeccable. This is my go-to KBBQ spot. I always get the Special-C and get Bulgogi, Brisket, and Pork Belly, and I always leave feeling so full! Parking can be tough since it's a busy parking lot.

Yelp
I came here at night, here's my experience: 1. Ambience (4/5): the restaurant was very clean, cozy and had a casual style. There was a lot of seating when I came. I think this place will be a nice place for some big parties. 2. Service (5/5): all of the ladies were very nice and welcoming. My server was the smallest one and also the sweetest. They were very attentive, they checked on my table regularly and refilled my banchan whenever I wanted. Good service! 3. Food (3/5): - Korean pancake (4/5): it was crispy on the outside but soft in the center. The portion was quite big for one and it had a generous filling. The filling included: squid, something was yellow and I supposed it was sea urchin, some green onions,... The taste of the pancake was quite bland, but thanks to that, I could really taste the seafood inside. Don't worry, the sauce on the side goes really well with those pancakes. It was a great appetizer! - Beef tofu soup (3/5): personally, the taste was quite common, there was nothing special. One plus is that the soup was packed with beef, but one downside was they were quite dry and not tender. - Banchan (3/5): there were 7 banchans were served on my table. I wasn't really impressed with the banchan here. But I liked the potato and fish cake. Overall, the staff here were very nice and welcoming to their customers. Next time, I'd love to come back with my friends to try the Korean BBQ here!

Yelp
ToBang has been around for a while, and like many people, it's one of our go-to KBBQ spots in the area. It's not AYCE, but the meat quality is always solid. I'll admit, I didn't really understand the hype at first many years ago, but after trying other places nearby, I totally get it now. It's a no-frills, quick-in, quick-out kind of spot. They're super efficient -- there's almost always a line, but they keep things moving without it feeling rushed. You order by set type depending on the number of people, which makes it easy. The seafood pancake is delicious, and for meat, the brisket is our go-to which never disappoints. I love that they often give out little extras like corn cheese or mini tteokbokki alongside the banchan! There's always a wait on weekends, so make sure you go early enough so you don't have to wait too long.

Yelp
This has always been our go-to KBBQ spot! On this latest visit, I especially appreciated the great customer service, speed of service, and quality of all the dishes! They revamped their menu sets to be more straightforward for first-timers, and I appreciate how they take your order before you sit down to ensure they keep things moving quickly. There is never a very long wait time, again due to how efficient they are with running the restaurant. Some of my favorite staples here are the spicy BBQ chicken (not too spicy for my weak self and packed full of flavor,) bulgogi, seafood pancake, and tofu soup. The portions are on the bigger side in my opinion, so if you're on the fence about getting that extra meat dish, I'd go without it and just order more if you still feel hungry. All in all a solid Bay Area KBBQ institution!

Yelp
We tried ordering the Special-B for 6 people, and we were met with heavy resistance from the staff, insisting that it wasn't enough food for our party, and that we need to order more food. Once they begrudgingly took our order, they proceeded to cook our food over the grill themselves, apparently because we were taking too long to do it ourselves? No other table had staff assist with their cooking.

Yelp
One of the best spots for NON-AYCE KBBQ! If you're looking for KBBQ but don't want to feel overly stuffed from AYCE, then ToBang is the place. The menu has 4 different sets (A, B, C, D) to choose from which comes with a select number of meats, choice of seafood pancake, kimchi fried rice, etc, and you can add on an extra $9 if you want additional dishes. For a group of 5, our server recommended Special C which came with 4 meats. The meats were all tender and delicious. Seafood pancake was a little bit smaller than I had anticipated. We also got a side of steamed egg too. This was enough food for us because the staff kept serving us banchan throughout our meal to the point where we were politely declining the extra dishes. I loved ToBang and all of the staff were so nice and caring to us. Highly recommend! But beware the parking can be limited during busy hours.

Yelp
Can't believe I lived next to this place for 3 years and I never visited! Tobang in Santa Clara has some delicious Korean BBQ! They have a few premade set options to pick from or you can order a la cart. One part that is a bit stressful is that you have to pick your set before you sit down. I tried their spicy BBQ pork, Kalbi, and steamed dumplings. The food was deeeeliiiccious! I also really enjoyed their banchan. I'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
I like coming here for their special menu sets. We normally come on a weekend night and they take our order at the entrance after we tell them how many people. You need to be ready with your order. If not, I recommend you read the menu outside the window before going in. They do always try to upsell you though. It is a rushed experience though. You may be sitting right next to another party but they have plexiglass divider. We normally get Special B with 3 meats (bulgogi, spicy pork and brisket) but every time we get pressured to get Special C with 4 meats but we decline. The special comes with seafood pancake, assorted banchan including lettuce, daikon and rice paper for wraps. They will refill these banchan. Usually there's corn cheese and sometimes tteokbokki included. You get a choice of Kimchi fried rice or steamed rice. We usually get the kimchi fried rice and add on a steamed rice for extra. We also add on a mixed tofu stew for $8. The brisket is cooked at the table while the bulgogi and spicy pork come cooked on a hot sizzling plate. Not the highest quality, but good bang for your buck and we're always left feeling full with leftovers.
google avatar

Cat W.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner with my partner and was not disappointed. Side dishes were super delicious and plentiful, the bulgogi was fantastic, and the service was friendly and swift. We got the Special-A and were completely stuffed and I had leftovers for lunch AND dinner the next day. Vibe is super casual and the food is clearly made with love.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Love the food here and solid prices for set menus! When they aren't too busy, they'll cook the meat for you! They tend to come around often enough to refill your banchan as needed! The meat quality is good especially for the price! Good spot if you're looking for relatively quick kbbq with that homemade feel! The parking lot is fairly large for the complex but can still be tough (watch for signs as some parking is limited to specific businesses).

Yelp
Tobang is a staple and has been around a long time in the area. They asked if had a reservation which we did not for 4 people on Saturday at 6:30. They were about half busy with about total 8 long tables that are split into 2 sides to maximize number of parties. From the get go the old ladies are pushy at selling the combo set and all the add ons. This was a big turn off, kind of like old sleazy car salesman selling you a new ride. I did like that they kept coming back asking if wanted more banchan. As far as the meat, it is very average quality. We ended up getting combo C for $126 and chose 2 brisket, pork belly and spicy pork that came cooked from kitchen. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Would I come back, maybe in a group or just spend a little more and go to 10 Butchers.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a strip mall with several other Korean restaurants but it seems like they were the only one that had a line of people waiting outside. Parking was difficult and we ended up parking across the street. We made reservation for 3 on a Saturday night and they were very accommodating when we called to let them know that we will be a little late. Once we were there, we ordered our food before being seated. They strongly suggest getting the combos and have the cooked meat as it would be faster. We were hungry so agreed to it. We got the ($92.99) 3 meat combo with Bulgogi, Kalbi and spicy Dwaeji galbi jjim ($9 extra) and steam egg for $4. We were seated shortly after we ordered and all the banchan was already on the table. I really like the potatoes and fish cake. The pickled radish was too sour for me. Kalbi - Good flavor and the meat was tender. It came on a hot plate but the plate was barely warm and the onions were not even cooked. Bulgogi - Again it came on a lukewarm hot plate with mostly raw onions and the meat was overcooked and dry. We asked the staff about it but she only apologized about it. Dwaeji galbi jjim - This dish came nice and hot. It has good flavor but the pork ribs were again, dry and overcooked. The seafood pancake was crispy and delicious but we only got 4 pieces when it said on the menu 6-7 pieces. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. IF I do come back in the future, I would definitely order raw meat and cook it myself so I can control the doneness of the meat.

Yelp
Hands down one of the better Korean BBQ experiences I've had! We got the Special-B menu with brisket, pork belly, and spicy BBQ pork ribs for our choice of 3 meats and it was filling for a group of 3 people. The brisket was top-tier - really high quality, tender, and flavorful with just the right amount of marbling. The pork belly was sliced perfectly thin, which allowed it to crisp up beautifully on the grill. It was so good, I completely forgot to take a picture before diving in! Same thing happened with the spicy BBQ pork ribs, the seasoning was just right and not overly sweet. The banchan dishes were above average, love how the waiters came around with refill carts. A standout for me was the seafood pancake--crispy around the edges with a soft, savory center. It paired perfectly with the tangy red dipping sauce. We also got the tteokbokki and corn cheese to go along with our meat. The service was 100/10, very efficient with how often they were checking in on us to refresh sides and clearing up dishes even though it was a busy Friday evening, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for high-quality Korean BBQ with great food and even better service! Also a bonus were the plastic dividers in between tables/groups, made it seem more private! Cannot wait to come back again and try out other options on the menu :)

Yelp
Rating: 3.5/5 Dined here for the first time for dinner on a Monday night around 6:30pm and got seated right away. Everything was super fast paced even though it wasn't busy and the employee who welcomed us in spoke way too fast that it was at times a bit hard to understand what she was saying. We also felt rushed while looking through the menu and deciding which special menu set to choose from. The employee basically chose for us before we could even thoroughly discuss with one another. We ended up doing Special C for $125.99. Once the menu was chosen, we were then moved to another table and as soon as we sat down everything started coming out so fast and thrown on the grill. Special C includes 1 seafood pancake which was soggy and bland, an array of side dishes which are refillable which is a plus. The only side dishes that were worth refilling was the potatoes and fish cakes. Everything else was so-so, but can't complain since it comes with the meal. Special C also includes your choice of 4 meats so we chose brisket, kalbi, and doubled up on pork belly. The kalbi is an additional +$9 and is already cooked. It comes out on a sizzling hot plate on top of a bed of onions. The pork belly is thin cut slices and was fast to cook on the grill along with the brisket. However, I do prefer thicker slices of pork belly. The pork cuts here are more like thin cuts of bacon. The kimchi fried rice was recommended to us but it was just ok and nothing memorable. I ended up ordering a bowl of white rice mid-meal. Overall, this place is a decent place if you're looking for a fast paced inexpensive Korean BBQ pick me up especially with a group. For three of us, Special C was more than enough--we even had leftovers to take home. Overall although this place was decent and inexpensive, I'd still choose an AYCE KBBQ spot with better quality of meats over this one and not have to worry about being rushed.

Yelp
We ordered the set (not an AYCE place). Just a heads up, sides like steamed egg are extra. The pancake was nicely crispy, and the meats were good overall. The brisket was my favorite. Service is attentive: the ladies come around to help grill and cut the meat, which is really appreciated. They work hard, especially since it gets busy. The space is a bit small in the waiting area, but once seated it feels pretty spacious for dining. Overall, nothing particularly memorable. Good meal, but there are other KBBQ spots I prefer and frequent more often.

Yelp
ToBang is a KBBQ Restaurant that has grills for cooking or if you desire, they'll cook in the back kitchen for you. They have four set menus to choose from and you order before shown to your table. The Banchan, dipping sauces, cheese corn, lettuce, and rice wrap are preset at your table and meats, soups, seafood pancake and rice (Kimchee or white) are delivered shortly after. Service is quick and polite although I'd prefer to put my own meat on the grill rather than have the staff plop it on the grill at a much expedited pace. I'm ok when they put half of the raw meat on the grill in the beginning but after the first half is grilled and we're eating, I don't want the staff to put the remaining meat on.... Too much of a rush as the grill is hot and it'll grill quickly. I can see this tactic used on a busy evening to speed diners but not during a quiet midday lunch. Also there's plenty of room to spread out diners for privacy during lunch, thus I don't see why they sit diners near each other when there are plenty of empty grill tables. As for food, The seafood pancake is a bit small but is nice and crispy while the meat platters are fit for two people. Banchan and water is refilled without any problems. Note: Suggest washing the lettuce a little more. Overall, large strip mall parking lot. Service is quick, staff is polite and helpful. Decent KBBQ (spicy pork is spot on, brisket was good for two), although a bit pricey. Good quality exhaust fans in the grill that'll keep you relatively odorless. Felt a bit rushed during a quiet Saturday lunch.

Yelp
Shout out to my Little for treating me out for lunch. Since we were in the area, me have a great love for KBBQ, & ToBang being on my radar for so long... this was the opportunity to truly test out the hype. The initial feels I get during our arrival was a bit overwhelming. Prior to being able to be seated, the restaurant expects you to place your order first. Meals are broken into 4 pre-set options and there is an A La Carte menu as well. My advice, familiarize yourself with the menu prior to coming if you are a newbie. Our party of 2 opted for the Special-A combo. This meal allows you to pick 2 meats from the provided list, a seafood pancake, and your choice of either kimchi fried rice or steamed rice. All meals come accompanied with banchan. Out choices: Brisket Kalbi Short Ribs [+ additional $8 for this option] Kimchi Fried Rice Seafood Pancake [no substitute available for this] 9 different banchan + lettuce wraps Cheesy Corn The brisket was just average. This wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. The Kalbi was great. Flavors were good, meats were cooked well, portion was a little skimp factoring in the fatty parts, the heavy layer of onions at the bottom & the additional charge required for this pick. The cheesy corn was okay but bland beyond the cheese aspect. The seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice was overly oily for my tastebuds. Banchan was one of the highlights of the meal. I loved the large variety of mini dishes provided & these paired greatly with our meats. 3 star rating from the food, 1 added star because these Korean aunties were nice. While they weren't exactly attentive, they were kind whenever we needed some assistance. This isn't my fave spot of Korean food but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to come back.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place as it was recommended by a coworker. This place is not AYCE, so you order either a set combo or ala cart. We went for the recommended set which was 3 choice of meet, soup and xtra small seafood pancake. They do come with all you can eat side dishes which probably was a plus. We chose the galbi, which is cooked in the kitchen, beef roll and pork belly which is really thinly sliced is what u cook at your table. Probably thinly slice so it wood cook faster. Over all food was ok. I felt we were rush to get done as place not so big and they want to get you in and out right away to get new people in. Probably why some meat they cook in kitchen for you and the thin meat cook at table side cooked fast. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
Went here yesterday/Saturday around 11:50am and we were the first people to be seated (opens at 11:30am on Saturday and Sunday) by a very friendly, welcoming person. We ordered the kalbi and brisket. The kalbi came to the table cooked, seasoned to perfection and grilled tender with just enough lil charred bits. We grilled the brisket ourselves and added the cooked meat to our kalbi plate to avoid burning it. The side dishes were great. The chap chae/clear noodle dish was very tasty with just enough oil and fresh veggies. We also enjoyed the sweet potato side dish. The cabbage kimchi was at peak fermentation. The sahm/lettuce wraps were fresh and they also provide sticky rice wrappers and radish wraps. Lovely to have three choices. The rice wraps were a bit hard to pull apart, though, so a bit congealed. You can choose friend or steamed rice and if you choose fried, it will be kimchi friend rice. I prefer a crispier fried rice, but it was seasoned well. They generously gave us both, though. That is, they included one bowl of white rice in the house. They also gave us bonus ttukboki/spicy rice logs and seafood pancake. We ate heartily and happily and the side dishes and water jug were quickly refilled by the attentive waitstaff. We had a lovely lunch and I will and have gone back to this restaurant. There are places with better quality meats, but ToBang keeps it affordable and down home.

Yelp
Love coming back to Tobang. The ladies are always so nice there, and it's great to be able to take home leftovers. We tried calling ahead on a Saturday at 7:30pm for 4. There was a line, but they clear tables so fast, we were seated within 15-20 minutes. Since we had 4 people, we had to order choice C at 126$ base price. We also got kimchi fried rice and seafood pancake. The kalbi and bulgogi were our favorites, and the banchan is always good. All in, including tip, we paid 167$ for 4 people and took home leftovers!

Yelp
Absolutely INCREDIBLE service and price for the food. Every time I come with a friend who hasn't been here before, they are shocked by just how fast and generous the banchan refills are. The ladies who operate this business sure know what good customer service is. I love coming here every time I have a kbbq craving - I only wish it were closer to my home so I can come more frequently. Amazing local business - truly a gem!

Yelp
I've seen so many bad reviews ab how these aunties being rude to customers. But guess what, not me lol thanks God .My first time trying this place is last week and I already came back 4 days later for lunch lol. Both of the time I went I experienced very sweet service of them, they gave me more banchan even tho I just sat down, usually they only give you more if you finished them first. We ordered a special A, I picked 2 brisket. They also came with kimchi fried rice and pancake +$9 if you want sundubu . Meat was okay, tofu soup was pretty bland but I gave 5 stars for their service and banchan. If you wrap them up like my photo it''ll tastes like heaven. I heard if you come on busy day they might rush you out but I always came around 12-3pm to avoid the rush, and to avoid the lack of service as well ( i think it's applied to everywhere) . Come and try it out, don't expect luxury meat and like Seorai or Beakjong lol this is just family restaurant, parking might be suck but I think you'll be fine. Thank youuuuu emo

Yelp
Wow. Just super impressive service and quality of food. The owner is amazingly organized and provides a lot of care to all customers. Price is also very reasonable, since meat quality is FRESH and tender. Food comes out almost as soon as you sit, so if youre hungry this is almost like a fast food speed bbq but with premium ingredients. Restaurant is really well taken care of and the ambiance is always lively and busy. We always love coming here to eat some authentic KBBQ!!

Yelp
The best a la cart kbbq! The price was super affordable and you get a lot than what you expect. They have I believe three different sets where you can choose a couple of meat types depending on the set type. We saw small side dishes like cheese corn, teokbokki, etc, however the staff said those were banchans so they were basically on the house (bless their souls because it was GOOD especially the teokbokki) so we got the steam egg instead. All their banchans were delicious, our favorite being the teokbokki and the candy potatoes. The meat quality was there and paired with their sauces were too good. This is a place where we will definitely come back to! I would suggest making reservations or going early because it seems to get packed quick! Luckily we were seated before the rush came in.

Yelp
I had to leave a 5 star review for this local Kbbq favorite; my family had such a good experience here recently. The restaurant has a fancy new layout with large-party size tables on either side and a spacious aisle going down the center making it easier for staff to push food carts to each of the tables. For 9 people they recommended ordering 2 combo C orders each coming with 4 meat options, seafood pancake, white or kimchi fried rice, chap chae glass noodles, corn cheese and plenty of side dishes! It was a lot of food but we managed to finish most of it with a little bit of leftovers to take home. They were very generous with the side dishes and frequently came by to refill the sides without us ever having to ask. The staff came to start us off by cooking the meats and left us alone as we started eating. We started cooking the next meat option and they came by to check out how we were doing. I didn't feel rushed like others had mentioned but they were there to make sure everything was coming along okay. Fun place to take large groups and I would definitely come back again. #25-06-08

Yelp
This was my go-to place for years for delicious bulgogi. In fact I guess I went so often that they started to recognize me. Around the time the pandemic ended they switched over to a primarily BBQ-at-table format, and I haven't gone as often, but when I have it's been delicious. Often a line, so plan ahead.

Yelp
Long overdue review. Our family usually comes here once a month, and the kids love their fish cake and rice wraps. My son is a very picky eater and usually stays away from Asian food, but he loves the food at Tobang. The restaurant gets quite busy, so service becomes a bit rushed at peak time, but I would definitely recommend this place regardless of when you're feeling hungry for some Korean food.

Yelp
We came in, got or order in right away and were seated within 5 min. So for efficiency I got to give them a point for that. The ambiance is nice. It's definitely meant for get togethers for sure. The food is a whole different topic. - the side dishes are good But the main entrees were horrible. The food is dry. The meat was cooked from frozen which made the meat super dry when cooked right away without thawing it. The spicy pork ribs were super dry. When we told this to the staff, we got all sorts of explanation saying thats how it is.... No it is not. I had korean spicy ribs at other places and it was amazing. This is not. I was not happy at all after that encounter and left right away. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
This time around, ate a pretty late meal around 3PM. Staff was friendly, and they were not busy. Two of us ordered the Special-A. We got the Bulgogi and the Brisket. I asked for more corn cheese...and ended up charging me for a small cup for $4. Sides were still good, like usual. Which is why I like coming to Tobang. Bulgogi was a HUGE miss. Dry. I let the staff know but they didn't seem to care. Overall, ok korean spot. Can definitely be hit or miss for quality and service.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great service! Ambiance isn't fancy, but really great place for a large group and to hang out on a weeknight.

Yelp
My friends have been raving about this place forever and I definitely see the hype. Came on a weekend night and we waited around 20 minutes for a table of 4 which was not bad at all. Because of the wait, the staff even gave us an extra steamed egg dish. - Complimentary Banchan - I was actually so happy with all the different banchans they had which must have been over 8+ types. My favorite was definitely the sweetened potato. I also really appreciate that they had so many different types of meat wrappers including radish, rice skins, and lettuce. Although all the banchans were pretty ordinary tasting, it was great to have this wide variety. - Special C (Brisket, Pork Jawl, Bulgolgi, Pork Belly) - I haven't been to a non-ayce KBBQ in awhile and was blown away by the quality of the meats. I was actually such a fan of the brisket as well as both of the porks especiallty the pork belly when it was crispy to a perfection. I thought the meat retained so much flavor with the fat really well incorporated into it. Paired with some kimchi and radish wrappers, I am a happy camper. Also, I loved how many different sauces they gave to try. We could skip the bulgolgi next time. - Seafood Tofu Soup - Honestly this was pretty solid especially given the fact that they are not known for their tofu soup. I really appreciate how much seafood they had in there. Overall, I was very happy about the experience. At first I was a bit worried that there wouldn't be enough to eat for 4 people but it was actually an overwhelming amount of food. In addition, the staff was actually so kind as they constantly checked on us to make sure we had enough banchans as well as making sure our meats were cooked very well. I would definitely recommend To Bang when in the area!

Yelp
5/5 hands down. The best sides, ambiance, service and meat. Typical price and only 2 options of meat but we were recommended some by the owner and we couldn't have been happier. They're super friendly and love making sure you are taken care of. It's also baby friendly! Can't wait to come back when we crave! I didn't get to take a full picture because we were so hungry but highly recommended.

Yelp
Tobang has been my go to spot for kbbq for a long time! The service is really good and the meats are good quality. I also really love the side dishes! Their steamed egg is really fluffy and flavorful. Wish parking lot was better as it can be crowded on the weekends. I also really like that you can make a reservation!

Yelp
Came in on a Friday night, had made Yelp reservation but didn't need. (Although shortly after we got seated they got super-busy). Brightly lit, no music, just customer noise. Staff is constantly hustling around, really quickly. Made me feel a little rushed with their movement, but if you are engaged with your group, you'll be fine. You order from the waiting area where you come in, before you get seated. Ordered the Special C for $125.99, 4 meats, 1 seafood pancake, got regular white rice. Had 1 meat raw (beef brisket) and staff helped to cook briefly but better you keep an eye on it too! Other meats, all pre-cooked: bbq chicken, bbq pork, kalbi. Seems we also got 1 corn cheese on the grill too. Had 4 people with us, the younger one was pretty hungry and the amount of food was just a little more than we could finish. Had 1 round of sides refilled. Staff was kind and pleasant in helping us. Overall felt very good value for money. Meats cooked well from kitchen, all sides nice, just a really enjoyable meal. Will be back!

Yelp
My heart is so warm from the service & experience my husband and I had at ToBang today. I was having a terrible day at work earlier where everything was going wrong. My husband told me to choose somewhere to go for dinner to cheer me up, and my immediate craving was spicy pork ribs, corn cheese, and banchan. Immediately I began to look for places near me that could accommodate these specific cravings and remembered that a good friend recommended ToBang. To our surprise, this place is 3 mins away from our home and suddenly we were on our way! When we arrived around 8 pm on a Wednesday night, there was barely anyone there. One thing I was also looking for tonight was a casual place that didn't appear to be overwhelming like other KBBQ restaurants, especially after the work stress from earlier. This place was not loud at all and the atmosphere was very calm. One thing I really want to highlight is the service that my husband and I received. The waitress could tell that it was our first time there and she gave us suggestions for what to choose. We ordered Special A which came with 2 meats, kimchi fried rice, a seafood pancake, and various sides dishes. After we ordered, the waitress came by and gave us tteokbokki on the house! We ordered brisket as one of our meats and honestly we probably could've been satisfied with just one meat because they gave us SO much. The banchan was amazing and flavorful. I loved that both the waitresses were attentive and kept coming back to refill our banchan up until we paid to leave. This was also my first time eating KBBQ that was NOT AYCE. You guys.... My life has changed. What do you mean I can eat all this food and still take the rest of my leftovers home?! I felt like a queen being able to pack up my box of leftovers and still feeling like I had a fulfilling meal. Then, when I thought things couldn't get any better, our waitress gave us 2 probiotics drinks to go AND offered us extra kimchi fried rice to go, already packed in a to go container, on the house! ToBang turned my not so good day into an awesome one. My husband and I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
A pretty great place for Korean bbq. We paid around $119 for four meat options which included appetizers, rice, seafood pancakes, and we were even given probiotic drinks at the end of our meal. They provide plenty of meat and my party of four would've been satisfied with three. The meat is also good quality. The chicken that they serve to you cooked is also very well marinated and tasty. The service was incredible, the staff were extremely friendly and extremely accommodating.

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner experience here. They always refilled our side dishes and the amount of meat in combo C was perfect for 4 people. All the meat was great quality. Thankful for the helpful workers helping grill the meats when we were busy eating as well. The ambiance was homey and comfortable. Will be back!

Yelp
Service was good. The ajumeoni was really nice and attentive. Got Special C. My favorite part was the beef tofu soup, seafood pancake, kimchi banchan, and beef belly(in ssam with ssamjang+kimchi) Choices chosen were beef belly, brisket, bulgogi, and small intestines, kimchi fried rice, and added beef tofu soup. I didn't realize it also came with cheese corn and steamed egg pot, so it was a pleasant surprise. Only thing I actually didn't like was the bulgogi. It was bland and not marinated. Shop was kind of small, but casual and comfortable.

Yelp
You get in check in and pre order what you want. They have it all set up for you so right when you sit your ready to cook and eat. They check on you often and cook the food for you too. The price is good, quality of meat decent. They have tasty and good banchan. The steamed egg was one of the best ones we've had soo fluffy. They have a lot of options for ramen soup. The seafood pancake was just ok for me. But the soup was good and hit the spot.

Yelp
Delicious and memorable KBBQ dining experience! The food here is sooo good! I like that you can choose a set and it's predetermined what comes with each set. I'm so used to going to ALL YOU CAN EAT, but I like how here it has a set menu you can just choose from. The portions were filling and I like the design of the store- lowkey reminded me of a kdrama vibes. Parking: they have a free public parking lot for customers Service: Staff were quick to serve and super attentive. They got us stuff we needed before we needed to ask them : ) I also love that they give you a probiotic little drink after the meal, it helps the tastebud taste refreshed and easily digest the food.
