It’s a really nicely decorated and stunning restaurant and the service is immaculate.
The robata grill is delicious, the chilled starters are alright - presentation could have been better; the sushi were a complete let down I’m afraid, if you wonder how Tobi Masa in NY could command $700-950 omakase. The Masa toro toro roll were cut in different sizes, the scallop sushi was absolutely uninviting, the tuna were nothing special. We tried to order botan ebi / ama ebi and were told they couldn’t service raw prawns yet, there were also no Petrossian Trout roe (smoked or not smoked). There was only 1-2 bottles of sake in the same menu that is available. I can understand that the restaurant is newly opened, but with the name of Tobi Masa, and as a restaurant in Rosewood, we think the food overall is disappointing.
