Tobin's Market

We very recently had our magical wedding reception at Tobin's Market!! I can't recommend hosting a wedding/event here enough! My husband and I grew up in Chs and we were determined to host our friends and family in a setting that felt unique and personal to us. We spent months searching for the right venue-- one that encapsulated Charleston charm, felt local, was versatile, intimate and festive. Tobin's was the answer to our all of our questions. Immediately upon meeting Pete-- we knew that we found the place! Pete is amazing-- friendly, knowledgable, creative and helpful. Tobin's welcomed us like it was our home away from home. Everyone on the team was invested in our vision. It truly felt like we were a team pursuing an exciting creative endeavor... It even made the wedding planning process fun! In addition to the fantastic teamwork, the space/layout is perfect for hosting events. The space lends itself to socializing, wandering, gathering around a table and dancing. The venue comes equipped with so much **included**-- furniture (variety of seating and layout possibilities), lighting, a tent (already installed at the time of our event-- this was an amazing attribute for both weather and ambiance), dishware, glassware, cutlery etc. There are great bar packages based on what you want. Also-- THE FOOD! They gave us flexibility based off of items on their existing menu to create our own menu (very conscientious of being vegetarian friendly)! All of our guests had multiple plates and raved about the food. All in all, Tobin's is a fun, inviting and intimate space... a quintessential Charleston courtyard surrounded by porches and ferns-- and on that night it also transformed into a dreamscape with the help of all of the wonderful people involved. It was an amazing evening. We wouldn't have done it any other way!

The food, drink selection, and music were amazing!!!!!! This is a dog-friendly establishment, so it's a great place to stop in with your pup. The down side to that is there were fleas all over the outside area. All in all, I loved it there and would definitely love to go back once they get their pest problem under control.

The perfect venue for a party or event! We hosted a gathering with about 40 people, and Pete was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. The food was absolutely out of this world, and the staff was fantastic. Taylor and Cory went above and beyond, taking care of everything throughout the day - they were amazing! I can’t say enough good things about our experience. The day exceeded my expectations by a long shot, and everyone who attended commented on how great it was. Highly recommend!

Love hanging out at this fun, neighborhood bar. The music is always a wonderful experience enhancer. Looking forward to coming back and chilling with a cold beer on the back patio.

The service, atmosphere, and Frose were great! The food was okay. We came in with high expectations for the sushi burrito. And while there maybe a lot of fish in the sea, there isn’t a lot of fish in this burrito.

WOW! fantastic place with incredible music. The band was so amazing and a fun atmosphere made our first night in Charleston a success!

Quaint friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Feels like you’re hanging out with family & friends an a beautiful backyard garden patio. Good food & libations with staff who make you feel welcome.

Best chicken I’ve had in Charleston . Wonderful atmosphere to relax with friends any day of the week. Highly suggest the sour beer. Came here with significant other and she was shocked the prices were great for the amount of food provided

Good burger, cold beer, and relaxed atmosphere! Stopped in to meet some friends today enjoyed the casual, relaxing "backyard" feel of Tobins market to watch some football and catch up! Walk up bar service, where you will order your food and drinks, with a server running your food and clearing tables! Perfect for a low key fall afternoon!

Attended the "2024 Yelpies Awards" here and had a great time meeting other Yelpers at my first event. Thanks to Scotty C. For organizing this event. We have visited Charleston from Myrtle Beach many times for weekend trips. We always enjoyed the many great restaurants, museums and entertainment. I had never been to Tobins Market and am glad I got this opportunity. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was very cool. It is made up of several cottages with a courtyard in the center. This was the main meeting area where there was live music and a buffet was served. Since it was a very busy social event, I didn't really have the chance to get a good sampling of their menu. What I did get during my buffet hit and runs were very tasty sliders. I will definitely return there to get a real sample of their food. Overall, the atmosphere, staff and cool setup rates a must visit next time I am here in Charleston.

This quaint little restaurant/ Bar is tucked away from the busy tourist side of town with a great staff that makes you feel welcome like being home. The outdoor patio is a wonderful spot to hang out & relax with friends & family The feeling is like being in an iconic Charleston backyard garden. When live music is available it elevates the atmosphere even more. Try out this Charleston Gem.

The cutest spot for a glass of wine! I love the vibe of this place, it's all outside so it's dog friendly, and they often have live music!

Amazing service day in and out. New specials and music events. The wait staff are so fun and helpful. Juls was so helpful with wine and beer selections. The acoustic vibes are where you need to be for Charleston.

Great spot. Quiet on a Tuesday which was totally fine with me, because you know, pandemic. The DJ was awesome and super chill music. I felt like I was in a cabana by the beach in Mexico I loved the "market" in the bar. Kombucha and juicy beers on tap. Various fun cans to select from. And if you need to buy a sage smudge stick or candle to purify your home after a night out

Went two weekends ago, everything we ordered was overpriced cafeteria food! Had to pay a $10 cover to listen to a "jazz" rap band that was so loud I couldn't even hear the person in front of me. 3 glasses of wine that was on tap $44+$10 cover... not worth it better places to waste your money

Paid cover for one of the worst bands of all time, all my friends food orders came out wrong and 30 min late, beer was flat, music was so loud that you couldn't hear a word even though the hostess said it's a really chill vibe in here. The highlights of our dinner were the song intermissions when we could relax for a second as one normally wishes when going to a restaurant/wine bar.

The main reason I would come back to visit Charleston is this establishment. The staff were like old friends, great to talk to and get to know, all of them are so nice and funny. The food is amazing, the tacos are to die for, and the sushi is killer. We loved that they had live music and were dog friendly. Tobin's is the best!!

We order the smash burger and if you want a very thin hockey puck that was burnt to a crisp this is the place to come!

Coolest little hideaway with tons of beer and wine options. In the mood for a snack so we shared the poke bowl - fresh tuna, mango, brown rice, with a nice little kick plus two ice cold beers! Live music - definitely need to come back and check it out. Maybe in a few hours! It's like hanging out in someone's backyard - how cool is that!

We stayed in an Airbnb right across street and loved having this place to end are night or begin our adventures with the beer available is very very good and has a wide variety to choose from. Ordered food to bring to the house and grabbed a drink while we waiting and enjoyed the live music and the wonderful service the manager is amazing, told us the history of the little cottages and was very attentive to everyone in bar !

Great little lounge meets market. Great customer service and attention to detail. Most nights they offer live music. Their food options are creative and has something for everyone.

Such a chill spot. Great selection of beers both local and domestic so anyone can find something they like. The burger and fries here are mad good but highlight is Sunday Lobster Roll - being from New England this place has a good, well portioned roll. Always good music here with lots of seating options, though larger groups can be difficult to eat since you usually sit at the couch, so plan to lap your food. The only reason 4 not 5 stars are the flies, they're annoying and all over when trying to eat - hopefully there's a future plan to help mitigate them.

These guys are going to crush it! Top notch food, beer selection and atmosphere. We had the bao buns (recommend two for yourself), breakfast burrito and risk it for the biscuit. Everything was so jam packed with flavor that I even licked the plate! I felt very comfortable as they took Covid precautions very seriously.

This spot is a hidden gem in Charleston. Set aside from the beaten path in historic cottages, Tobin's Market is delightfully unexpected. The atmosphere was fresh, the food was incredible and the rock blues vibe of Sufferin' Moses' live music was electric. So thankful we tried this new up and comer to the scene! We started with the House Board full of unique meats and cheeses. Chef Mike and his smashed double cheeseburger are killing it! It's like no burger you've ever had before! A must try; the flavors are complex and utterly delicious! The beer and wine selection has something for everyone and the pet friendly patio was warm and inviting; a place to really chill out. Even our uncle and his date, in their 70s had a wonderful time We will be back for sure! Thanks y'all for such an awesome time!

The vibes were immaculate. When I first walked in I was greeted by a big fluffy dog which was a great start. I was then welcomed by the owners who made it a point to have a great conversation with me even recommending their favorites. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was amazing. Additionally, they had a large beer wine and kombucha selection. This place also has live music frequently! I will definitely going back. If not for the music, then For the fluffy dog Bacon! I would absolutely recommend if your in the chuck town area!!

Tobin's Market was PHENOMENAL. The people were kind, helpful, and attentive. On Wednesday's they do 25% off bottles of wine - I had a wonderful red blend. I also tried their Cuban wrap which was delicious and a much lighter (and healthier version) than a typical Cuban. They also have live music almost every night during the summer, even though it was a bit loud tonight it was good music and added positively to the atmosphere. There was plenty of outdoor seating options and I would absolutely recommend it for a casual night out with friends in a warm, fun atmosphere.

Great food, awesome beers on tap including a $4 Narraganset pint. Nice outdoor seating and vibe, with a high chance you'll get some live music. We ordered the large cheese plate and were not disappointed. Bring your crew here and have a great afternoon in Charleston. Can't wait to try the breakfast!

We were blown away by Tobin's Market! We were in town from Chicago and the vibe rivaled some of the most popular bars in the city. The patio complete with couches, lighting and live music is exactly what we were looking for on a Saturday exploring Charleston! We came for lunch after a long morning of traveling. My fiancé and I both ordered Risk It Biscuits and drinks (Truly and local Cider - they have a great beer and wine selection!). When the food came out the presentation was beautiful but nothing compared to that first bite - the fresh biscuit was flawless, the chicken and bacon was amazing, and whatever was happening with the sauce and other goodness was nothing short of PERFECTION! Seriously the most delicious breakfast sandwich I have ever had - kind of a comfortable, low key but super elevated flavors. Sooo what were we to do but order more? My fiancé got another biscuit (why mess with perfection) and I tried the veggie sandwich (can't remember the name) but it was great too. The combo of hummus and some kind of nut spread was something I'd never had before but was DELISH. We ended up spending the whole afternoon at Tobin's. The vibe isn't just from the amazing decor - the entire staff makes you feel like family and service was great all around. I cannot wait to see where these restauranteurs go from here!

The crew at Tobin's is full of talent from the kitchen to twilight jam sessions on the stage. I've toured the menu, tested the taps, and lounged the courtyard with delight. Even my dog likes it. Come for the Wake 'n Bacon and stay for The Penny Farthing. I'm not sure what it's in that pesto spread stuff but it's magical.

Great food, staff, and venue. Highly recommend stopping by whether it's for a quick coffee/snack, or to hangout and have a drink and dinner. 100% bringing friends and family here!

I live around the corner from Tobin's, and the live music was my first introduction to the place--really good bands that I can hear clear as day from my back yard. They wrap up at a good hour so sleep isn't a problem, so it's really the best of both worlds. I finally pulled the trigger on food with their new online ordering site, and it was fantastic. The marco sando was great, but the burger in particular was one of the best I've ever had, anywhere. Given that they're primarily a music venue you wouldn't expect them to be known for their food, but the longer they're around I suspect that's exactly what will happen. And deservedly so.

Great double cheeseburger and friendly atmosphere! Ate here for lunch and am planning on coming back for some live music and drinks sometime soon.

I came here for some happy hour beers and dinner and I stayed longer than expected... The food was amazing! The crab dip stood out to me. It was phenomenal- great texture and it tasted so fresh! Pimento cheese was fantastic and fresh as well. I paired those with the Fixie sandwich (veggie) and I left so full and satisfied (good portions). The beer selection was awesome too! I was happy to finally try the Maine Lunch IPA and I couldn't help myself with some old faithfuls like the Edmund's Oast Bound By Time IPA! It was a great vibe in the back courtyard area with the live band... and they said they have music every night which is incredible! The band was great and it was a completely relaxed and fun environment. I was happy to see the friendly staff following covid guidelines as well. I'm excited to return for another happy hour to try the rest of the menu! Great new spot in Charleston!

Had a burger with my mom while checking out apartments nearby, they hosted us at 1pm on a slow day when they turned off the cooker not expecting clientele and wow. Best burgers I ever had. They served us in the middle of a tropical storm turned hurricane.

I really like the atmosphere but the music is very loud and I can't hear the people I'm with speaking. Also there are flies everywhere. Like you can see 30 at a time and they are swarming everywhere. Kind of ruins the mood

Really appreciated the thoughtfully curated selection of beer, wine and non-alc beverages. Great tacos. A perfect place to spend some time with friends on a Saturday afternoon!
