"Petty Cash, the always-crowded taqueria, has a pretty affordable Happy Hour, with $8 margaritas and plenty of food specials. Get the brisket quesadilla or the cauliflower nachos. "Petty Cash's cauliflower nachos are basically the Langer's #19 of LA vegetarian nachos. They're iconic, and everyone else is still trying to come up with a version that beats them. Frankly, we're not even sure what makes them so good, but we have a hunch it has something to do with the crispy kale, charred cauliflower, and spicy chiles on top, all drenched in a decadent poblano crema. "If you’re one of those people who can’t handle the notion of $6 tacos, we have bad news for you - Petty Cash’s tacos are still $6. But they’re also pretty damn delicious, and Petty Cash as a whole continues to be one of the more reliable weeknight dinner spots in Beverly Grove. The colorful, graffiti-covered walls keep the upscale-ish space fun and that means you can use it for everything from a first date to a coworkers outing where somebody has to come back in the morning for their car. Go to Petty Cash and get it over with. This modern Mexican spot by the Grove is central to just about everything and has the kind of lively space that’s fun even when you’re with people you don’t necessarily like. "The Beverly Grove spot has reopened for both dine-in and takeout with a large outdoor sidewalk patio going along Beverly Blvd. They have a slightly revised food menu featuring tacos and bar snacks, but don’t worry, their famous rainbow cauliflower nachos with poblano cream and kale is still available.
