Came on a weekend, wasn't too busy and fast service. Greeted by amicable staff. Good simple menu to pick from with different options of protein and sides to choose from. Overall, good was good. Nothing special or out of the ordinary but consistent with all dishes served. Sangria was good, less sweet than other restaurants (more white wine than sugar and syrup). Very modern style taquería, ambiance was nice with outdoor seating options (adjacent to mini cascading waterfall fountain). Clean, eatablishment. Plenty of parking in the plaza lot.

I love this location. I've previously visited the one in Century City Mall and it was insanely crowded and food took a long time to come out. This location is inside The Point in beautiful El Segundo. Plenty of free self parking. The outside shopping plaza is excellent for singles, couples, or families. The restaurant is extremely clean and tranquil. I was warmly greeted upon entering. They have a vast menu with lots of yummy options. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Since it was Taco Tuesday, I decided to order off of their special TT menu. The tacos are incredibly delicious. Fresh ingredients and very well balanced. Their presentation is mesmerizing. They have plenty of indoor as well as patio seating. Strongly recommend. Will definitely be returning. Update: as promised, I returned today for Taco Tuesday. It seems like they have different or rotating Taco options. Once again, super friendly service and amazingly delicious tacos. I think this will be my new go to every Tuesday. Update: yes, I'm back. What can I say... I'm addicted. Excellent food and super friendly service. Can't ask for more.

Google
Very nice ambience for modern Mexican food. It was nice but I don't think the Tofu goes well in the veggie options. They didn't have any mushrooms either. The food is well presented and fresh.

I always enjoy when I visit this restaurant. The cuisine is not authentic Mexican, more modern but it’s a nice change. Margaritas are amazing, so is the guacamole. It is vegan friendly. They offer good bowls and salads, and also have a kids menu. Fairly laid back. Don’t miss their plantain chips.

OMG This is my most favorite restaurant which I can use casually, as a plant-based dietitians. They have multiple vegan option, like you can choose a lot of protein or cheese. Everytime I need a little bit time to choose what I eat ! I appreciate here a lot. And one of the reason I like here is plantain chips! I love it so much... Spicy Cilantro Verde Bowl is my best favorite food from here!! Also I like the atomosphere, daytime is I can feel nature, I love the terrace. Afternoon to Night, the lighting make romantic mood.

I used Uber Eats for this one, so I didn’t really get the full meal ideal experience, but it was still very satisfying. I ordered the tortilla soup regular size(wish it had chicken, but flavor was on point), chips and salsa(salsa was great and chips were descent, kind of stale but I’m assuming due to delivery), half guacamole with plantain chips( guacamole had pieces of nuts and pomegranate seeds, different but good), & I ordered the street corn bowl with cauliflower rice, turkey picante(overall great taste also but wish it were bigger in serving, I’m assuming it got smaller when I switched from regular rice to cauliflower rice. I believe if I ate this in their Restuarant I’d rate it higher because overall it was all pretty delicious. I’d definitely eat her again but in person.

Google
Fast casual Mexican spot with healthy options (including vegetarian/vegan dishes). I used to frequent the one in Santa Monica, and this location is bigger and brighter. If you check in on Yelp, note that you get free chips and salsa. Indoor and outdoor dining is available, as well as takeout. Free parking is available in the garage. Credit cards accepted. There’s a water dispenser by the front entrance for self-service. They do serve alcohol. The chips are super thick and crispy, and held up well against their salsa. I got the tocaya salad on this particular visit, which has jalapeños for spice as well as a slight kick to the dressing. I opted for the vegan chicken, which I appreciated for being very similar to sliced chicken (it was just a tad softer in texture). You have the option of what cheese you’d like in the salads. My friend’s fish tacos were a bit too “fishy” and wasn’t the biggest fan, so I’d focus more on their salads.

Google
tacos are tiny! the atmosphere is very boho chic if you’re into that, it’s cute. paid $13 for these two tiny tacos. but they also had free cucumber water which i very much appreciated 🙏🏻

Yelp
What a beautiful and inviting space! Stopped in for lunch today and the customer service was amazing and quick. The drinks are yummy; especially the hibiscus ginger. I also really enjoyed my meal. I had it to go. I'm a guacamole snob and found the guacamole to be perfect. It paired well with some sprinkled pomegranate seeds and plantain chips. I had chicken tacos (sightly deconstructed to put together after) and the ingredients were quite fresh and tasty. I'd definitely visit again as I love wide selection of food, great quality ingredients and a friendly/helpful staff.

Yelp
Great spot for some reliable, healthy and vegan food. I tried their Fajita Del Rey which came with sautéed fajita mix w/ peppers & onions, cilantro lime rice, black beans, vegan chipotle crema, guacamole & pico de Gallo. Also added vegan chicken and vegan mozzarella and it really hit the spot. The food came out relatively quick too. The aguas frescas was too sweet IMO so will probably skip that next time I come.

Yelp
Tocaya is so good! The location closer to home in lb closed so we came all the way to el Segundo to get our fix! Customer service at this location is really good! Entire team is helpful and friendly. They have vegan/vegetarian options. Adobo tofu, fried maitake mushrooms, vegan cream and cheese, and cilantro lime vegan chick'n. The Guilt free burritos with sub fried maitake mushroom is pretty good! Comes with spanish cauliflower rice, black beans, tri-color peppers, jalapeño cabbage, queso oaxaca & there delicious vegan chipotle crema! Taste better than the photo. Quinoa and kale salad is good and the maitake mushrooms on the blue homemade tortillas are the best on the menu. Love the decor and music (Spotify has a tocaya playlist)

Yelp
Another place you must visit while in El Segundo or Manhattan Beach. The food and the ambiance here are the bomb! I'll be back. Enjoy and bon Appetit.

Mehreen K.

Yelp
Visiting our second home and stopped here for a snack and drinks. The ambiance is beautiful. Nicely decorated and clean and bright. The food and drinks are fresh and presented well. Easy to order at the counter. Left feeling satisfied and will be back!

Jackie C.

Yelp
Tocaya is a great casual lunch or dinner spot if you want something healthy, vegan and gluten free. You order your food at the entrance and they'll bring it out to your table. The staff was nice. For food, they have a variety of options. Whether you're in the mood for salads, tacos, bowls or burritos, they have it all. There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. This location is at The Point in El Segundo next to Mendocino Farms. There is a huge lot with free parking. I would come back here again.

Trina W.

Yelp
Super vegan friendly! Vegan options galore. They can make anything vegan here. This place has a cool, modern vibe to it, relaxed music and friendly staff. I was blown away at all the wonderful options so I had to try a few things. I would highly recommend this spot, vegan or not.

Nidhi P.

Yelp
I've had better food at tocaya before. This time it felt bland. I got the cilantro vegan bowl & tortilla soup both vegan. It was kind of tasteless. Also tried the taco trio, the tres hermanas was good. The potato & cauliflower tacos were meh. Cauliflower was cut too big! The churros were freaking amazing! Best I've ever had & that too vegan?! I'm all in! Drinks were good as well. Def will come again but just not the bowl next time

Jay S.

Yelp
I had a pretty underwhelming experience. The drinks are refreshing, the sides I tried were pretty good, but the mains were so small and lacking in flavor, which was a surprise since the sides were pretty good. I haven't been to a Tocaya in a while, and I'm not sure I could justify going back to one anytime soon. The food and ingredients tasted fresh, but it's just not a great option with so many other choices out there, especially at The Point. Below is a breakdown of each dish: 2.5/5 - Vegan Baja Fish Tacos: Lacking in flavor, the "fish" part didn't taste that great either. I went fully vegan on these since I remember how much I liked the vegan tacos last time I went to Tocaya, but maybe they changed something since? 3/5 - Mushroom Baja Tacos: pretty solid, not as flavorless as the other ones, but still pretty similar, I think the mushroom's flavor helped a lot. 4/5 - Street Corn: full of flavor and a nice size for a side, definitely something I would get again. 4/5 - Guacamole & Chips: another great side, move flavor and the chips weren't bad either. 3.5/5 - Auga Fresca: refreshing, but not unique enough for me to want to order it again. I would probably skip this unless you try a sample first and really like it Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 3.33/5

Yelp
This place has the BEST food The service was great and the restaurant was really nice too. There's so many plants surrounding the patio area, comfortable seating, and plenty of space. I cant emphasize how delicious this food was.

Stefanie K.

Yelp
Came here last week after seeing the recommendation on Gluten Dude App... decided to go with combo 2 tacos, 1appetizer and a juice for $13 if i remember correctly. I chose the baja fish taco and salmon taco, both were great. I had the guac with plantain, next time i would opt for the chips. The service was amazing... i asked for churros as i never get to have gf ones, their machine was out of order but they not only went out of their way to make me some but they even offered them to me...i will definitely back!!

Paulita E.

Yelp
Just dropped by shortly after my arrival into LAX as I was hungry and tired. As per usual; the food was great and the service was quick. The vibe was quiet as they had just opened but restaurant was clean and peaceful with some soft music playing.

Yelp
The best location! Easy parking!!!!! I have been to other locations once and never returned because parking was either impossible or too many people and hrs to get a table. The staff at this location is nice and friendly and the food is VERY good. The side order of street corn is a must along with the chips and salsa. I tried the cali bowl mainly because they had it advertised everywhere...lol! I was NOT disappointed. I do recommend. The salad was equally good. The drinks are yummy and they taste refreshing and healthy.

Yelp
Delicious Mexican food option at The Point! Lots of locations around LA. Great option for a quick bite for lunch. Food & Drink - LOVE their margaritas, both spicy & original. Great taco & burrito options. Vegan options & pescatarian options are extensive & all so delicious! You really can't go wrong. The plantain chips, guac & salsa are also amazing. Service - such friendly staff here & great service every time I've been! Ambiance - casual, family & dog friendly. Have ordered & been here several times & I'm sure I will continue to remain a fan of Tocaya!

Dave G.

Yelp
Great selection of fair priced food options. Their location has both indoors and outdoors seating. You can place an order online from home and have either no wait or a very short wait on arrival.

Christine D.

Yelp
The cashier had told me their torta menu was super new and good, so I gave it a try. I got the Beef Burria Torta and it was good! Smaller than I expected, but it wasn't too overly filling which was nice. It's located in a cute plaza that I enjoyed walking around. I would want to try the bowls next time!

Rachel R.

Yelp
Loved the service and food here and Hector was very helpful and friendly! Not too busy, with a lot of seating

Meridena K.

Yelp
Excellent choice for snacks or more, everything is freshly made and delicious. Fish taco was crispy mahi-or opt for tofu. It was delicious. And you can order the tacos individually, so you don't have to get an order of 3 of the same and take them home because you wanted 1 taco and other things. That's awesome, thank you! The menu has options for veg, fish, GF or people who eat all the things. Freshly fried plantains with an excellent red salsa that i ended up putting on everything. Street corn was great, and shucked in a bowl so no awkward eating off the cob in front of everyone. And there are lovely drink options, both al & non-al. Nice inside, but really nice patio in a pleasant shopping plaza area with lots to look at. Overall I really recommend.

Kathryn C.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Tocaya this evening! Both my husband and I ordered a salmon bowl, but I ordered the one that was a little bit spicier. Both of us loved our food. I was also really pleased with the cucumber mint lemonade, which had free refills. We sat outside, and I was really impressed by how comfortable the cushion was on the bench. Our servers were attentive, and made sure to refill my drink when it was done. It was a nice setting, surrounded by lots of succulents. I look forward to returning here!

Amber D.

Yelp
Came here for a quick bite to eat to see my friend off for a trip. I like that this place has a lot of options and can make mostly anything vegetarian and vegan. We started out with a plantain/tortilla chip mix and guacamole. That was very good in my opinion. I opted to try the vegan 3 taco sampler. I enjoyed what I had. I like that this is a no frills type of place but they do have people bring out the food and bus tables so it's best to tip when you order (you should in general but especially because of this).

Michael S.

Yelp
This is great to eat during the week. Especially taco Tuesday! $2 tacos, the fish is $4. Nice outdoor and indoor seating. The margaritas ar $5 on Tuesday. They are mostly ice, won't get you water but nice. The Baja fish taco is great. Rings chicken also a gave.

Cass R.

Yelp
Very disappointed in my order today. I ordered through Postmates and got the Fajita Del Rey with the Diablo Chicken, the street corn and a side of plantain chips. When it arrived I went ahead and mixed the corn with bowl and started to eat it. Around the 4th bite I felt something odd about the chicken and pulled it out only to find out that what I had chewed on was a piece of plastic. I immediately got grossed out and called Postmates about the situation however I wanted to post this here. I lost both my appetite and 2 items. Postmates issued a refund but Tocaya do better. Not only was it disgusting to pull this out after I had chewed it with everything else, I could have choked on it. Beyond disappointed.

Tina T.

Yelp
I'm sorry I had to write this review. I've tried two different bowls here and both bowls I couldn't finish. Taste was more bitter/chard and lacking a lot of depth in taste and flavor. Everything tasted pretty similar and the veggies were over done. I had to use sauce packets to vamp it up but couldn't get myself to finish. The bowls were a complete waste of money. Also, for it being a slow day, it took over 25 minutes to get my food. I'd rather stick to Cava, Mendocino Farms, or if I need something quick than I'll go to Every Table.

Keisha B.

Yelp
Delicious food with fresh ingredients and nice portions. All around staff is great as they go above and beyond for excellent customer service.

Andrea V.

Yelp
Taco Tuesdays are awesome here. $2 and $4 tacos, $5 margaritas. Oh yeah, and lots of vegan options. My favorites are the mushroom and the vegan "chicken", but you really can't go wrong with any of the four vegan proteins or two vegan cheeses. The bowls and burritos are great too, but it's hard to beat the taco Tuesday deals. Service is great and friendly here, the employees make an effort to engage with customers and remember them. They strive to hire and train employees well and it's noticeable. Seating is available both inside and outside (with heaters) and they even have a couch inside for a laid back meal or drink. The decor and ambiance is clean and bright, with natural colors and materials included. Parking is available but can get a little tight during busy times, but that just means more of a walk to work off those delicious tacos!

Bernadette R.

Yelp
This is for an isolated experience. I generally love the food at Tocaya and the people are nice. The ambiance is good. However, last night was different. I ordered my food to go and went straight home. And as I was eating my chips and salsa I discovered a piece of a blue latex glove in it. I called the store and the manager seemed like they knew what that glove was for and shared with me that it's used when their cooks cover bandages. Obviously horrified. Who knows how many batches of salsa they sold was contaminated. I asked for a full refund, which I got, and also asked if they would notify their customers or toss the salsa. Nothing. I'll be taking a break from eating at this location for a while.

Veronica T.

Yelp
Clean, fast, and simple. The food and drinks were great. The women's restroom has 3 stalls 1 sink, fully stocked, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The one gripe I have is that the customer service was weird. The people behind the counter were quick to acknowledge you, but all seemed so displeased/annoyed.They seemed like they just wanted to go back to socializing with their coworkers, so I felt really odd. The servers never made eye contact with me and even ignored me when I said thank you each time. Despite the wacky customer service, they were all really fast and gave me everything I needed. I feel like this would be a great place to eat with a group or order togo.

Adela G.

Yelp
The ambience here is fantastic. The indoor seating is so cute. The food is great and comes out fast. It's also a great price!

Heather L.

Yelp
Excuse me? Over $20 for three tacos? And what's up with all those random toppings on the tacos? That photo was from March and I went back a couple more times after to conclude that it deserves a one-star review. Their food just doesn't taste right. The ingredients don't blend well. Unique ingredients, odd flavors, and super expensive. Not going back again.

Harmonie T.

Yelp
One thing I've noticed about this chain is that the decor and atmosphere are very consistent! One of my favorite things about the three Tocaya locations that I've visited, including this El Segundo location, is that the outdoor patio is outlined by planters filled with succulents. Love it! Usually when I'm at The Point, I'm there to eat Mendocino Farms. But on this particular visit, I wanted to change things up. I was in the mood for a salad and Tocaya was on my mind. The Shredded Kale and Quinoa salad caught my attention. It comes with chickpeas, pepitas, cannellini beans, pico de gallo, sliced avocado & red wine vinaigrette. For my protein, I chose the Adobo Tofu. This salad was so filling! https://bit.ly/3cg24CL I also enjoyed a Spicy Margarita which has a nice kick. https://bit.ly/3IOWBPG Staff was nice, service was good. I didn't know it at the time but the House-Made Queso is vegan so I'm definetely gonna check that out the next time I have Tocaya.

Genevieve G.

Yelp
Fun and fresh restaurant surrounded by quaint stores and open square style play space for children. Upon entering the restaurant, place your order at the counter then proceed to the table our lounge style sofa of your choice. Display your order number that will then be delivered to you. I had the 3 taco sampler with a strawberry basil aqua fresca. Each taco was fresh and had distinctively different flavors. My two faves were the Asada and Tierra. The Asada beef had a deep smoke flavour garnished with fresh, crisp red onion on a blue corn tortilla. The Tierra, was made with gluten free battered and fried Maitake mushrooms! Wow, the crunchy texture made my day! Great spot for taco lovers and vegetarian, vegans alike!

Brittany H.

Yelp
The food was great! I got a fajita burrito with carne asada that was extremely filling I couldn't eat it all. It had rice, beans, bell peppers, onions, and carne asada. The passion fruit margarita was so light and refreshing for a hot summer day, we also spiked a strawberry basil agua Fresca into a margarita. The kids meal was more than enough for my toddler. He enjoyed the chicken and rice, not so much for the tortilla. They have combos where you can include a margarita with your meal, and that's what we did. I ended up getting 2 passionfruit margaritas! It was really good and I would go back for that alone!!

Noel H.

Yelp
This was my favorite restaurant to "treat" myself and I always look forward to the food. I haven't been in about a year so I was very excited for dinner tonight and got my usual, the fajita burrito with cilantro lime rice and achiote chicken. Also decided to try a steak and shrimp street taco and the churro bites in addition to my usual order of plantain chips/guac. The churro bites were soggy and the plantain chips were soft. When I cut my burrito in half before eating I thought I was given the wrong order because it was 90% undercooked black beans, missing the rice and cheese and only about 6 small pieces of chicken. Love the fresh tortillas for the tacos but each only had two small pieces of meat/shrimp and they forgot to omit the cheese from the shrimp taco. Very disappointing and unsatisfying, especially considering the cost. I don't know what has happened to this location but the decline in quality and cutting corners by filling with cheaper ingredients/skimping on portions is unacceptable.

Helen B.

Yelp
Food is healthy. Service is fast and friendly. Ambiance- fun vibe. Good feels. Great spot to come with friends and enjoy a bowl together. Great space to chat and talk about life. You leave your bowl at the table when you are done and go Life is good with Jesus! Enjoy!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
After a long walk on the Strand, I was craving a hearty and healthy bowl so I drove to the Pointe. I checked out the menu at Tocaya and decided to give it a try. The ambiance is casual and inviting, and the decor was a standout- loved the colors. It wasn't very busy and there wasn't anyone at the register- seemed a little disorganized. I ordered the street corn en fuego with carne asada and a spicy margarita. The presentation wasn't great- looked like something I could get at Chipotle. Each ingredient was just okay- carne asada was seasoned fine, the corn was a little overdone for my taste, the cabbage was meh, lime rice was a little dry. Overall I was underwhelmed by my dish. The margarita came 10 minutes after my food did. I had to go up to the counter myself to get it because it was taking so long. The woman who rang me up also made the drinks- clearly not a bartender. Looked like it was just a mix you could buy from anywhere and my margarita wasn't spicy at all even though she put a slice of jalapeño in it. I didn't realize this place was a chain, which makes sense. It sounds corny, but there was no love in the food. I don't think I'll be back.

Douglas H.

Yelp
My first experience at a organic Mexican restaurant that specializes in organic, vegan fare. Tocaya also offers meat options for its non-vegan crowd. Really cool location at the North Point outdoor market in El Segundo. Tried the keto bowl and Tortilla soup. Keto bowl included a spicy "Diablo" chicken that was just the right amount of spice along with peppers, Spanish cauliflower rice, avocado , greens, and roasted peppers. Very satisfying dish packed with flavor. Tortilla soup was equally as delightful with good flavor, a little heat, and fresh avocado as a garnish. Really good food and even nicer atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Simone Y.

Yelp
Always love coming to tocaya. The food is fresh and taste great! The service is always on point as well. A special shout out to Hector who helped out me and my family. He was very attentive and thorough. Thank you for contributing to a great experience !!

Dejah T.

Yelp
Great customer service! Hector is the best , they were super nice and helpful. This was our first time trying the restaurant, he made it so welcoming !

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Tocaya is a reliable restaurant for a healthy, generally well-prepared meal. We came after picking up family from the airport. We were grateful for a clean restaurant with kind and friendly service and food prepared promptly and delivered as it was ready. There is something for everyone - from the kids to bowls, burritos, tacos and more. While I was a little disappointed by the gf fish taco, which was a bit dry and underseaoned, the chicken tinga taco was AMAZING and the tortillas were universally delicious. The cauli rice was similarly underseasoned by a little vegan queso, which is basically cheese soup, eliminated that problem. The tortillas chips are great and well salted. Much of the food is under salted, but that it is easy to correct. DD was surprised by how spicy the Keto Bowl was. Those peppers are on the menu for a reason! I will definitely return. Next time, Taco Salad!

Ray S.

Yelp
I used to love this place but went today and kinda got thrown for a loop with the fried fish taco. It literally felt like it came from a box of frozen fish sticks, couldn't even eat it. I'd just say to the management, don't ruin such a wonderful place with some terrible ingredients. The Cauliflower taco was essentially raw and also couldn't finish it. Standards, please.

Austin T.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was stellar! Great happy hour... highly El recommend the Guacamole and the Sangria (it's like 6 drinks for $17)

Jayme G.

Yelp
Hands down, this is the best place ever! Look no further. Great location, seriously the yummiest food and best service! Professional, clean and awesome staff! Come here on a date, with your family or enjoy a meal solo :) LOVE love love Tocaya, it's a 10 out of 10 for us!!!

Shireen K.

Yelp
Just had the most wonderful experience at your el Segundo location! Guillermo was so kind and accommodating! He made us feel very welcomed, recalled our complicated order with perfection, and he checked on us throughout our meal with the utmost kindness. This kind of amazing service just isn't around much in the industry anymore and should be appreciated!

Shanelle S.

Yelp
Great spot being it's the point! Been here a couple times but the chicken Diablo burrito is my fave and love the chips and salsa. We will be back since my kid doesn't really care for any of the other food in the plaza except their rice and beans!

Jamaal W.

Yelp
I used to go to the 2nd and PCH location until it closed. Yesterday I decided to go to the location at The Point and it was an awesome experience! The restaurant was pretty full, but that didn't stop Jarrell and his team from being attentive and providing some recommendations. I normally get a burrito, but was persuaded to try the Salmon Bowl and maaaan, I was not disappointed. Full of flavor, cooked just right, and it went so well with the Hibiscus Agua Fresca. El Segundo's a little farther than the old LBC location, but based on my most recent visit, it's def worth the drive!

Sara G.

Yelp
The worst Mexican food I've ever had. We ordered 2 bowls and the portions were so tiny. The beans were not fully cooked, the chicken was super spicy. Had to wait a long time because there was only one person working behind the counter. I've eaten here before and I don't remember the food being this bad.

Erin H.

Yelp
Yum! Feels healthy and fresh. Lots of vegan options and great labeling on the menu of what's vegan and gluten free. Ordered take out so can't comment on vibe of the place. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is quantity, it didn't feel like thattt much good. But also, as I'm typing this, I'm realizing I do feel pretty satisfied. Didn't have leftovers so plan on it being one meal. Got the kale and quinoa salad with vinaigrette and the fried mushrooms (these ARE gluten free, I called to verify) and vegan Jack cheese - cheese does have a little kick to it! Wish the kale had slightly more dressing or had been massages or something. Otherwise, yummy! Love that it came with avocado.
