Dined here for a friend's birthday dinner. The interior is updated with a wood fire oven. The bartender offered a taste of two wines which was a nice gesture. I enjoyed the house primitivo and ordered a glass. The restaurant was cold. I am not sure if it was due to the 3 large retractable windowed garage doors for al fresco dining or due to the heating system was off or not working. We had 2 pizzas which were very good if you like traditional thin crust. We also had the cheese plate which was good as well. The big issue was it took more than 1 hour to get our dinner. The owner was very present in the restaurant and did come by to say that all the food is freshly prepared. He was accurate and the food was very good and tasted authentic. Lastly if you intend to pay with a credit card they add a surcharge for using it. I do believe if you are going to surcharge for credit cards you need to prominently post it on the website and menu so patrons are aware and can plan accordingly.

Fantastic place. Between myself and my three guests we had a pizza and 3 different entrees. Every dish was excellent in both quality and flavor. The pizza was incredible, some of the most flavorful pizza I've had in Chicago. Will definitely go back.

This place is awesome. There are so many varieties of pizza and other Italian dishes and the wine is magical. They also have some interesting creations with their antipasto. Bruno is pretty cool too. If you ever stop in, look for the tall Italian guy and say hi, you can tell he loves to keep his diners and staff happy!

Lovely neighborhood joint with tons of character and beautiful food. Pizza, pasta, burrata. All authentic and delicious. Service is average. Prices are high for a neighborhood joint, but the food is good. Tables out on the boulevard in summer. Great place to take in a slow, beautiful Italian meal.

Great authentic Italian food in Wicker Park! I've been coming here for years and will continue to come back. They have an excellent wine selection and both service and food exceed expectations. The pizza and pastas have never disappointed

If you are someone who truly appreciates authentic high quality Italian food, you cannot miss Tocco in wicker park. Bruno the owner is meticulous about the quality of the food and experience. He previously owned Folia which itself was an A+ experience. We has the best calimari last night at Tocco that we’ve ever had in Chicago. Along with their pizza oven thin crust authentic Italian pizza. And the whole fish we tried for Good Friday was incredibly fresh. Our kids had the fresh pasta. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of high quality vegetarian options. All pasta they make fresh. The atmosphere might look pricey, but the prices are extremely reasonable and we were able to include a bottle of fantastic rosso without busting the budget. This Italian spot is a gem not to be missed, and you can experience it on any budget!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago. You'll be greeted by the owner, and your pasta or pizza or whatever you order will be delicious. I'm the summer, the garage doors open to a small plaza and the ambiance is perfection.
