Atlanta Restaurant Closures in 2019 | Eater Atlanta

"I learned that the Toco Hills pizzeria Local Pizzaiolo, located in the Toco Hill shopping complex on North Druid Hills, closed about a week after Thanksgiving; former general manager Alessio Lacco, who had been running the restaurant for owner Giulio Adriani while the pizza master worked on expanding the brand in D.C. and New York, resigned just before the closure and is no longer in contact with Adriani." - Eater Staff

Love this venue. It's such a cool place to dine and shop. My favorite restaurant, Mobay Spice, is in this shopping plaza, so I'm here as often as I can. Es h time a discover a new jewel. Great way to spend your afternoon. Shops include Crumbl, Pet Supermarket, Publix, Ace Hardware, Flyin' Biscuits, and soooo much more. It's super clean, safe, and has plenty of parking.

This is a really nice area. I shop at the Bath 'n Body Works store on a regular basis! The area is always busy and can get quite congested, but it has a lot of great shopping spots and eateries!

Yelp
I moved to Atlanta in 2015, and Toco Hills Shopping Center was one of the more ignored shopping centers in the area. First of all it was Toco Hills (Where is THAT?), and it was basically a lot of dead space, a huge, mostly pot-hole riddled parking lot, and not-so-well-known businesses. According to Edens Property, the management company that owns both Toco Hills Shopping Center and its adjacent neighboring property Toco Hills Promenade, Toco Hills Shopping Center encompasses both Salaryman and Toco Giant Package Store, all of the stores in the row from Iron Age and north to Sushi Matsuya, and all of the stores in the row of businesses from UPS Store to Frugal Kitchens, and the two empty stores past Frugal Kitchens. This is a very confusing set up, because it isn't visually obvious that there are three different shopping centers, but looks like only one. Anyway, Toco Hills Shopping Center had fallen into sad disrepair years ago, with mostly discount businesses taking up the retail spaces, if there were even existing businesses. At that time there were many empty stores. Thankfully, there have been positive transformations in the shopping center over the past six years, resulting in it becoming a popular destination for shopping, restaurants and services. The parking lot has been redone, and all of the retail areas received a much needed makeover. In short, the entire Toco Hills Shopping Center look so much better now, so much more welcoming, and is now a lot busier. In addition, the overall quality of the businesses appears to have motivated more people to shop, dine and receive services So far, the shops that I've gone to in Toco Hills Shopping Center are Iron Age Korean Steak House, Spiller Park Coffee and Sushi Matsuya, having OK to great experiences. I will definitely return to experience more businesses here when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
This is a shopping center in the Toco Hills area of Atlanta off of North Druid Hills Road. There are various supermarkets, restaurants, and more there. It is big, bright with plenty of options for all kinds of nerds!

Yelp
I used to frequent this shopping center quite a bit when I lived in the neighborhood. I still stop by every once in a while after the gym or for lunch since it is near my work. Toco Hills offers up food, shopping, and retail. The main anchors are Kroger, Publix, and Office Depot. You can also find Radio Shack as a major retailer (though pretty small store). Dining options include a couple bagel shops (that include other breakfast and lunch options), Steak N' Shake, French food, sandwiches, Mexican, Indian, etc. There is a book store, gardening store, thrift store, shoe store, among other retail options. You can also find services such as shoe repair, insurance, and alterations. A great value add to the community. Note: it can be a bit tricky to drive around. You have traffic coming from many directions and it is not always clear to drivers who has the right of way. But I hear that they are going to be working on that and other improvements.
