My personal favorite is the avocado flavor, which is also available as ice cream: so unique and so good! Classic flavors like coconut and pistachio never disappoint, but what really makes this spot special are the rare varieties you won’t find elsewhere. For example: Gansito: inspired by the beloved Mexican pastry, a mini vanilla cake with strawberry and cream filling, covered in chocolate (think Chocopie with a twist). Buñuelos: reminiscent of churros, with a hint of cinnamon. Mazapán: peanut-flavored marzipan, a nostalgic treat. Chongos Zamoranos: a traditional dessert made from cooked milk and cinnamon, transformed into a delightful ice cream flavor. What I love most is that their milk-based ice creams and paletas taste exactly like the ingredients they’re made from, and they’re not overly sweet like other places (looking at you, Michoacana). I’ve also tried a couple of their non-dairy options: maracuyá (passion fruit) and guanábana (soursop). Both exotic, refreshing, and bursting with authentic flavor. Beyond ice cream, they offer Mexican snacks like fruit cups, tostilocos, and prepared Doritos. Plus, they have a rewards system for frequent customers! The shop is clean, the customer service is excellent, and the seating area is cute with thoughtful décor. Overall, Tocumbo is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place, I’ve been coming here for several years now & their quality has never changed. After speaking to the owners you can tell how much love they have for making new ice cream flavors & they’re all so delicious. They have so many different treats to chose from including ice cream, paletas, aguas frescas, esquites & much much more. They also started making pupsicles which my dog loves :)

10/10 experience for me. The ice cream flavors are unique and delicious I tried the chocolate and pistachio it was so good. They have a lot of unique and good flavors to choose from. They also have raspados liquados and other antojos. The employees are very nice and helpful and love the vibe here. I would come here again!

This paletería has some of the best paletas and ice cream. The staff is ALWAYS so nice and welcoming. I stopped by this evening before heading back home towards Temecula. I purchased a few paletas and I also purchased their insulated bag. The staff was worried that the paletas wouldn't make it even though they added ice packs. I was worried too but to my surprise the paletas were in perfect condition when I got home. They did not melt at all and the drive home was 1.5hrs. If you're craving Mexican Popsicles this is the place to go. They're always fresh and delicious. You don't have to worry about freezer burn either.

This place is awesome. Ice cream is delicious and is made with fresh fruit locally. Great staff. Next time I'm back in town is a must stop.

We loved having them as our wedding dessert! This was one of our favorite vendor meetings because we got to taste so many different flavors and meet the super kind staff. They saved some extras for us (since we were running around all night) and even customized a menu sign that fit with our theme. We'll absolutely be back for more.

This place is really delicious! They keep it super clean and organized, just the way I like things. They have so many flavors to choose from; ranging from traditional Mexican favorites to the basic flavors boring people enjoy. I love supporting small business and this place is one I've been frequenting. When the weather heats up this is definitely a spot to come to. They have it all, come down and enjoy.

Cute ice cream shop, good options and yummy ice cream. I would say the ice cream and paletas are good but what really stood out for me are the aguas, they are great! The negatives are that there is way too much socializing about personal things going on at the register which holds up the line when there are customers waiting to pay for sometimes only a single item. Today there were 2 ladies who kept talking at the register for 5 minutes after they had already paid, just catching up with the cashier. We patiently waited expecting that the cashier would ring us up, but instead she just kept chatting with her friends. Rude, inconsiderate and very unprofessional. I understand being friendly but this was a little overboard. The restroom also had a "Not in Service" sign, however people kept going in to use it. If it's truly out of service, it should be locked as that's disgusting and unsanitary. If it's working, remove the sign. If I'm desperate for some good aguas I might stop by again.

We hired Jenn and Ricky to cater paletas for our wedding reception and we couldn't have asked for more - their customer service is second to none, their friendliness makes you feel like family, and their paletas are DELICIOUS! During our initial visit, Ricky served us samples of various flavors we were interested in. At our reception, Ricky and his wife served our guests with nothing but smiles and great attitudes. I can't recommend Tocumbo enough - please visit them and keep them in your mind for your next event. Thanks, Tocumbo!!

Pretty solid ice cream joint with tons of options. More than just ice cream. They have a wide variety of sweet treats. Very cool employees as well. Flavors are nice and you won't find them anywhere else. Banana pudding? Very good. Get it in a cup, a cone, in hand, whatever. Tocumbo is a city down in Michoacan that is the ice cream and popsicle capital of Mexico. No kidding. It's twoo, it's twoo. This place is definitely the ice cream capital of Anaheim. It's about a mile and a half from Disneyland and closes at 8:00 pm. Go get your Mickey fix then come here for some post-Disney ice cream. We did! *insert grito here*

Great place to come for refreshments ! They have everything ! From paletas to açai bowls. Everything Is so good and fresh . The employees are always friendly and helpful . My kids and I like to come here when we're in the area . They keep it clean and have a good amount of tables inside . Plan to try different things again next time we go .

Tocumbo Ice Cream is my go to spot when I want something fresh on a hot day. Their quality is excellent and the staff is so pleasant. They're willing to make adjustments to their menu items to fit your liking. Today my husband asked for a fruit cup and asked if they could add cueritos to it. They didn't hesitate, even though that item isn't listed on their menu that way. I love their paletas. They have a great mix of paletas with a water base or milk base. My favorites are the jamaica, fresa de agua, and nuez. Today, I tried their regular diablito which is two scoops of nieve de limon, chamoy, and tajin. She let me switch out one scoop for mango so I could try a different flavor. Both ice creams flavors were great but I was partial to the mango one. Seating inside is limited so you'll likely need to take your treats to go. We always take them anyway because it can get a little noisy and overwhelming inside, especially when there's a lot of people. They also offer a variety of other snacks and desserts. Everything I've tried so far has been excellent. It's a great spot to get some treats on a warm day.

My family and I were in town today visiting both my brother in law and mother in law celebrating Mexican Mother's Day, having an early dinner next door. Came in for dessert and man did this place impress! First off, amazing customer service! Super sweet and friendly, chatting with us and our almost one year old. I needed a none sweet treat for my baby and a young woman was very kind enough to offer a treat for him. We each ordered something different. My brother in law got an ice cream cone and said his flavor was delicious. And the rest of us loved our paletas. Shout out everyone on shift today! Highly recommend you stop in for a cold, sweet treat to kick off your SoCal summer. I know we'll be back for sure next time we're out here.

Honestly we were gonna go to another ice cream shop, but it was completely packed...So we decided to pivot and come here to Tocumbo Ice Cream! I've lived in Anaheim almost my entire life and I can't believe I didn't stumble upon this place! I am happy I jumped onto that five star bandwagon, because this place is exceptional! It's totally worthy of a first choice pick..now that their goodness that has been served to my taste buds! This place is very chill and no pun intend considering they are in the Ice Cream business LOL!!! Shout out to Mary for preparing these wonderful frozen treats!!! Got the nutella ice cream with chocolate sprinkles and it was delicious. The service was excellent! Interior is nice and will keep you cool on sunny days!

**August 2024: Saturday Afternoon Visit** I wasn't in California very much this summer, but when I was it was HOT and I was melting. During one of the weekends it was high 80s and I could feel my body roast in my outfit. My friend and I decided to leave the convention early to search for something to cool us down. Tocumbo came up as a close by option (about 10 minutes away / less than 3 miles) so we decided to check it out. The shop is located in a small shopping plaza behind a Mexican restaurant. I had no difficulty finding parking on a Saturday afternoon. When we entered we saw a number of hispanic patrons which was a que to me that this was would be an authentic cultural experience. The first fridge had a number of colorful fruit popsicles. It was very tempting but I was in the mood for something creamy. The second and third fridge had large buckets of ice cream but with a lot of unique flavors. I decided to do two scoops - one Mexican Hot Chocolate and one Strawberries with Chocolate chips and wow it was exactly what I needed. It was creamy and kind of had a fluffy texture, but it was nice and cold. There are only two or three tables inside so it's an intimate space, but I would absolutely love to come back and try more sweet treats. Two thumbs up!

Amazing customer service, delicious delicious ice cream & the tejuino... my gosh, it is truly the BEST I have ever tasted!! I visited Guadalajara for the first time last year, and have been tirelessly searching for that same Tejuino flavor. This place truly met & exceeded all expectations.. will definitely be back!!

We loved this place! They were very patient with us and let us sample their ice cream before we made our decision on the banana split. I highly recommend this spot and 5 stars!! May the 4th be with you

Tocumbo Ice Cream is perfect for a late night sweet treat! They have variety of flavors from coconut to coffee to elote to passionfruit sobert. The atmosphere is very welcoming here and the staff is so sweet and helpful suggesting their favorite ice cream pairings. I can't wait for our next visit!

I don't know how they attained the 5-star rating?!?!?! It's just an average ice cream shop with average service, average cleanliness and average quality at best... The 1-star rating is more appropriate and applicable to this location as it doesn't belong in the same category as gourmet ice creams, chef-created sorbets or Italian Gelato!!!

Theirs absolutely nothing wrong with this business at all. Very well managed with well mannered employees!

What we got: Cookies and Cream Ice Cream, Strawberry Paleta I brought the wife to get some ice cream, and she was very very impressed. She is a sucker for Thrifty's Cookies and Cream ice cream, and has been for she was a child. Upon the first couple bites of the Cookies and Cream ice cream she declared, "I think this is better than thrifty's" which is quite a shock! She also sampled the Carrot Cake ice cream which she told me would be worth bombing my lactose intolerant stomach for, but maybe next time. I went with a strawberry paleta de agua. It was good, and straight to the point. It is not fancy, and I've had better ones, but it sure hit the spot! The Shop: Inside you will not find neon colors everywhere and bright lights, instead Tocumbo sticks to its humble self, and sells ice cream and other fun foods like paletas, raspados, etc. Notes: There is plenty of parking, but it can get packed as it shares the lot with a few different shops and restaurants in a strip mall.

So darn good! Walking into the store you're met with varieties of paletas. They also have home made ice cream! My favorite is the home made galleta ice cream. I wish they make a tub of it. It tastes just like the cookies. The texture is creamy and thick with the cookie bits. I am obsessed. I recommend their agua fresca. They're not overly sweet. It's fresh and perfect for a hot day. My two favorite flavors are the pepino and the pina. Tocumbo offers many more sweet and savory treats.

Paletas A++++ Catering Experience A++++ Ice cream Pie sandwich A+++ I came across Tocumbo ice cream on IG and decided to stop by to try their paletas (Mexican Popsicles) one day since they were super close to where I used to live. OMG the paletas were to die for and when I brought some home, the fiance-and now-husband was impressed too. Needless to say, as ice cream lovers, we decided to retain Tocumbo as our wedding dessert vendor. Ricky, Jenny, and Ericka were excellent throughout the planning process and on the day of. They were professional, responsive, and very friendly and easygoing. We even got to come back to the store to pick up some leftover ice cream from our wedding! All of our wedding guests, including some super particular relatives and our parents (oh and our ring bearer) were in love with the paletas too. They have become our (and many of our family and friends') go-to ice cream shop. Our favorites paletas are: avocado, cantaloupe, coffee, coconut, cookies and cream, and strawberry milk (Honestly all of their flavors are so good too but we had to narrow down lol.) They also collab with Kourtney from With Love, From Scratch (best pies ever!! Super fresh) to make the best ice cream pie sandwiches and they are a must-try too.

Went in for the first time today, so glad we did! The customer service was great, everyone was really nice. Everything was delicious, from the samples to what we bought and brought home. We'll definitely go back.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, I love their mangoneadas, queso con fresa ice cream and of course the tostilocos. Everything I've tried has always been 100/10. Much much better than la michiocana, in my opinion. Also, the place is super clean and their bathroom is almost spotless.

Good quality ice cream with agua Frescas Got the mangoneada with mango and passion fruit ice cream. Came with chamoi tajin and fresh mangoes. And the strawberry drink. Total was $10 Worth it and would go again. 11/10

Tocumbo has the best ice cream ive ever tasted. Always fresh, always delicious. If you like great customer service and authentic Mexican flavors, this is the place to go.

First time here and I solely came for the escamocha.. it was everything I hoped it would be and more! The cream and granola mixed with the fresh fruit was unbelievable. Not only that, but literally everything in that shop looked so good. I cannot wait to come back and try out more, even during the cold upcoming months :P Super sweet staff as well and literally down the street from me!

Tocumbo is an outstanding place with outstanding products. All of their ice cream and paletas are so fresh and made with so much LOVE. I recently took my students there and we were welcomed with open arms and special touches. Tocumbo not only offers ice cream desserts, but also Tostilocos and other creative Takis, Hot Cheetos snacks with endless toppings! YUMMMMMMY! Found this place via Instagram & it's easily become one of my favorite ice cream places! I've tried the cookies and cream ice cream & strawberry paleta, 5/5! The consistency of their ice cream is so soft and the flavor is so so so so good! It doesn't taste like your typical ice cream shop, it's creamy and super soft! They have very unique flavors for paletas as well. I want to try all of them! I also need to go back and try their fruit bowls & sundaes :) Friendly service! Lots of parking! Affordable! Covid review: employees are following all the cdc guidelines during COVID times! Very safe and clean :) Update 2/14/21 I pre-ordered the Valentine's ice cream box and it was a huge hit! What a great idea!!!! I hope they do an ice cream flight/gift box forever! It would make such a great gift for friends. So unique, whoever thought of the idea props to you! I ordered via Instagram and it was so easy!!! Also, when I got there to pick up my order I wanted to order another one and luckily they were able to prepare another one for me in 30 mins or so. THANK U RICKY + others, I really needed this last minute box!!

First time at this place. I was impressed with all types of flavored ice creams, with great texture and bits of fruits in them. Impressed with the exotic fruit flavors. Their fresh waters are deliciously flavored and not over sweetened. Snacked on their 'Tostilocos' - they were great! It's like a party in your mouth! I love this place

Really good ice cream! The flavors are robust, the portions are generous, and the choices are excellent. I ended up getting walnut, which was delicious, but there were some other ones that also really enticed me. This is definitely good quality ice cream and I recommend it. I'm looking forward to going back again, even though it's not very close to me.

The service was great here. The place is also very well-kept, and it looks very clean and very organized. When we went, the servers were very patient with us. when we had questions, they answered them. The ice cream and fruit is all fresh. We definitely enjoy coming here with her family. This place makes you feel welcome as soon as you step inside. The sitting areas a little bit smaller but it's OK when it's not too busy.

My daughter is gluten and dairy sensitive and this place was awesome for her. We had Paletas and the flavors were so good.

Best freseada I've ever had! It was perfectly fruity, a little spicy, a little salt & the best part, it wasn't overly sweet. I can eat this everyday! Definitely coming back again and again. I love that they make everything fresh to order.

We rented a paletas and ice cream cart for the evening for my daughter's 18th birthday and it was absolutely incredible. From the time I contacted Tocumbo Ice Cream until the time the cart was picked up it was an absolute pleasure. Customer Service, incredible products - I love Tocumbo and will do this as many times as I can for my work events and family events.

This is one of my go-to's especially in the summer I get to go several times a week, but the recent standout is their new selections in ice cream as they are trying new flavors and taking bold risks on the types they offer, they had a charcoal mocha one that my wife loved! The tejuinos are one of my top go to's and it's always refreshing when I'm in the mood for one! The nachos are great and filled with jalapeños, the tostilocos are one of their specialties too! Honestly there isn't one thing I've gotten here that I didn't like and they always give baby paletas to my daughter so she loves to come too. Have to stop by here if you haven't as the service is genuine and kind! The people are always keeping a positive attitude & smile each time I've gone. A great vibe overall. This place has a great selection of ice cream flavors and paletas treats. Best thing about them is they taste so fresh. The ice creams are rich in flavor and have actual fruit in them like their names. It's not the artificially flavor made sugary ice creams you get elsewhere. I had the passion fruit paleta while others tried their ice creams. This shop is definitely a great spot to come satisfy your sweet tooth cravings or cool off on a hot day. They have so many flavors for you to try that you'd definitely have to keep coming back just to try every flavor.

I'm a huge fan of Mexican food and their desserts are no exception. I've seen lots of La Michoacána places around and frequent them but saw this shop and wanted to try something new. I was not disappointed. -Location & Design: it is located in a big plaza so it's very easy to find. The store has some indoor seating and is spacious. They have cute decorations, depending on the season; this adds such a comfortable homey feel to the place. The display cases are lit up well so you don't have to worry about not being able to view the choices (there's a whole lot of them!) The space is ideal for grabbing dessert with a partner, family, or friends and sitting/conversing. -Foods: My favorite thing about this place is their unique flavors of ice cream/paletas, diablitos (chamoy drinks), aguas frescas, etc. You can ask for samples of pretty much anything too. Flavors that stood out to me were Maria's cookies ice cream, gansito ice cream, and bubu ice cream. These are reminiscent of popular childhood favorites so it's really cool to see a local place reimagine them! They all taste authentic to the actual treats too so I think experts would be satisfied. -Service: Everyone here is so friendly and helpful! I think one specific guy is the owner and he's been there both times I've come in. He was happy to let us sample whatever ice cream flavors and aguas. He even suggested his preferences or good combos and described flavors. The cashiers are nice too. Service is always quick despite lots of guests I.e families with children coming in. They never break a sweat or let you wait for long. -Lastly, the item I chose was a gansito sundae and I was pleasantly surprised! It tasted exactly like I thought it would and more. I also tried the strawberry agua and barley one. Do yourself a favor and go here now. My mouth is salivating as we speak and I'm reliving the moment vicariously through this review and pictures. Sigh.

Found my new ice cream shop! I was recommended by a friend to try Tocumbo and did not disappoint. Was greeted by friendly staff. So many delicious flavors of ice creams I could not decide. Oh and the agua de cebada was definitely my favorite. Will be coming back to try more ice cream flavors

This was our first trip to Disneyland and as always, I checked Yelp to see the great eateries nearby that fellow yelpers might have recommended. I was so excited to find this little ice cream and Mexican snack place in a small strip mall very near to our hotel! I was blown away by their paleta and ice cream collection! They were all house made, tasted fresh with no artificial flavors and were not gnawingly sweet. For the 4 days we were there, we ended up coming every day to try a new flavor! While my daughter stuck to Limon, we tried pico de gallo paleta (spicy with bits of mango pieces and oh so good), the curdled milk paleta (thick and creamy with bits of curdled milk), sweet rice paleta (tasted more like rice pudding), banana pudding, coconut and bubblegum (it actually had bits of bubblegum pieces) ice creams. We also tried 2 of their drinks Tejuino with linon ice cream on top and a mango slushie with housemate chamoi sauce and they were absolutely delicious! The street corn snack with cheese and spices on top was so yummy! The staff was always sweet and welcoming. If you are visiting Ananheim, do give this locally owned business a try!

Came here with my boyfriend and his cousin for dessert. I got a mangonada. I absolutely love mangos and was so excited to try this. It was really delicious but just a bit too much chili for my taste. I will definitely try it again but request less chili so I can taste the mango more. My boyfriend also got lime flavoured ice cream and it tasted fantastic!! I might actually get a scoop of that in the mangonada next time as well since you can get up to four scoops in the super mangonada of different things. The people were super friendly, and they were technically supposed to be closed at 9pm but since there were still people coming in, they didn't close until 10pm! We asked about that, and they said they don't turn people away or kick them out during closing. That's so sweet!

I heard about this place from someone on Instagram that knows their food so I thought I'd give it a try. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful here. They have an amazing variety of flavors including the standard chocolate and vanilla but so much more. They really do have a little bit of everything here. The place was packed when I went too so I guess they're popular. The scoops are pretty large. I will definitely be back again in the future.

Their Maria ice cream will be my favorite forever. Always such friendly service. Very clean and colorful inside.
