The tortilla is awesome and the Birria is toooooo amazing. Our service, Ari, is cute and nice. He also asked us whether need advice or information regarding the dishes on the menu. Will definitely come back to try other amazing dishes. Next goal: mushroom plate. Oh the Mexican cheese is also like bravo!!!!!

Todo participated in Portland Burger Week and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were. I ate two, together with a summer mocktail. The owner of Todo was friendly and warmly welcomed us to his restaurant. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for karaoke. Warm atmosphere and good vibes. Highly recommended Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu.

Got nachos they were tasty but I didn’t think they were worth 18 dollars. The food and drinks are a little overpriced in my opinion. The waitress was very kind and she was very attentive but I won’t be going back.

From the moment we stepped into Todo Taco, we knew we were in for a treat. The highlight of our dining experience had to be the phenomenal birria tacos. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors, making them some of the best we’ve ever savored. But let's not stop there; the chicken wings were unlike any other I've had in Portland – perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The margaritas deserve a special mention as well. Handcrafted with precision, each sip was a refreshing blend of quality ingredients, proving that the art of a great margarita hasn't been lost. Additionally, the salsa selection was on point, offering a variety of options to complement every dish with just the right kick. The ambiance of Todo Taco was made even more enjoyable by the fantastic bartender who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. Their friendly and attentive service added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel truly welcomed. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Portland and in search of an exceptional dining experience, Todo Taco is a must-visit. Whether it’s for the mouthwatering birria tacos, the exceptional chicken wings, the handcrafted margaritas, or the inviting atmosphere, you're in for a real treat. Go and see for yourself why Todo Taco is a cut above the rest!

My car broke down across the street, and the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere so relaxing while I waited for a tow. Also, virgin margaritas, HELLO.

Google
Cochinita pibil was one of the specials the night we went and it didn’t disappoint. My hope is that it will make a well-deserved place on the daily menu. The way the food was served, various meats in dishes with tortillas in their own container and a variety of salsas and accoutrements of your choice, allowed for some interesting combinations. Great dinner.

Google
TODO lives up to its name for sure, the place was recommended by a friend and We had to try it right away, the chips are fresh and addicting,we ordered the pastor, steak, birria it was all amazing and flavorful ,the pickled veggies issss fresh and crunchy. We will be back for more for sure! Google
More spacious than it looks from the outside. No wait for party of two on a Friday night. Super friendly service. You choose the size (half pound or one pound) and type of meat/taco filling and they bring it out with the tortillas and fillings for you to share and build your own tacos. Fun and super tasty experience. Can see how this would be a fun date night experience but also enjoyable for a group or family. We had the birria and al pastor. Both were great, but would recommend the al pastor between the two. Looking forward to trying the steak next time.

Yelp
Got to tried their catered food and it was pretty darn good! The chicken and birria meat were very flavorful, albeit being a little dry. Their tacos fixings and salsas were very fresh and those salsas certainly packed a punch. A super solid place for Mexican food.

Yelp
Our son suggested this place and since he seldom steers us wrong we agreed to go and I'm glad we did!! The place was quiet and clean; staff was friendly and service was prompt. The food was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this hidden gem!!

Yelp
We visited in June 2023... This place has amazing food! It is served family style so we got to try different dishes. Our group included 2 vegetarians and they had plenty of choices. We all enjoyed the nopales (cactus) salad. The service was great, attentive and prompt. They set us up in a part of the restaurant that looked like it could be an area for a private event, it was separate from the main restaurant so it wasn't as loud and we could hear each other.

Yelp
What do you call a tortilla chip that works out? Answer: A macho nacho. I am not big on Mexican food and so rarely eat it but once in a while the cravings for a good Taco hit and you cant ignore that . Came in on a Friday night and were seated promptly which was surprising but definitely welcome . The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of seating and on Saturdays they also have salsa dancing. I have heard the music selection is fun and did experience it first hand even though it wasn't a salsa dancing night . The décor is different and traditional with lovely murals and paintings on the wall . The staff is sweet friendly and chatted about the menu and alcohol in detail . We started with a Negroni and Pisco sour and chips and salsa and proceeded to order the Pastor and the cactus salad . The pastor comes with a choice of add-ons and we got pico de gallo and crema . If you get the 1lb Pastor the add-ons are four instead of two . There is also 4 sauces that go from mild to super hot but we loved them all specially the spicier ones. The Nopalito was a big disappointment but the rest of the food more than made up for it . The pastor is spit grilled with pineapple and just melts in your mouth . The freshly made tortillas are great with the meat and the sauces . Needless to say we both overate but did not regret that at all . Portion sizes are big so my recommendation is to order in parts .

Yelp
We went during happy hour and the pastor was very reasonably priced and easily enough for 2 people. Also I can honestly say the boozy smoothies are the best I've ever head. Service was quite fast despite being busy on a Friday evening and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, great atmosphere. I came back for Salsa Night and it was great variety of music. Not all Latin dance nights in Portland play cumbia, so I was excited to hear that along with some great selections of bachata and salsa. I thinks this is my new favorite place!

Yelp
I am not a fan, I find the food mediocre at best and the service is not very good. The space is huge and they definitely transformed it into a beautiful place to go, may be drinks and appetizers.

Yelp
Service was some of the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. I've had better service from food carts than this sit down restaurant. Our party was shocked. We ended up just asking for our food to go. I'm giving three stars since the food was decent but not worth having staff yell at us and inappropriately gossiping to other customers (who were in our party). It made us feel very uncomfortable. I would have rather just stayed home if I knew I was going to arrive being berated by a server. Especially since this place isn't on the low end price.... I'm still in shock on how the staff acted. I would recommend never going here for sit down just order for pick-up so you don't have to deal with any of the servers. The bartender was the only staff member who seemed like they wanted customers in the restaurant.

Yelp
Went here for the food reviews, service was friendly but food is overpriced for it being as bland as it is. 5 dollars for a taco for a single cold corn tortilla with a hunk of unflavored meat. Guacamole tastes like you would get it from the supermarket, prepackaged, mush with no flavor.

Yelp
I'm from San Diego. Just gonna put that out there before I write this. If you're looking for So Cal Mexican food, this is not it. BUT, the food itself is bomb! I ordered the pollo quesadilla with rice and beans, chips and guac/salsa, and a margarita (or two). Ingredients tasted fresh, light, and the serving size was generous. The quesadilla is a real standout! Staff seemed responsible and attentive. I liked the atmosphere, and overall--just a cozy place with not many patrons. You can always expect to find a table. I have a feeling this place won't stick around. But I hope it does. And I will continue on as a patron. Right now, it feels like one of Hawthorne's few best-kept secrets.

Yelp
Update: they have added a vegan Pastor to the menu and it's AMAZING. I like it even better than the fish. Turns out, Marco's daughter is vegetarian so he's always looking for new ways to innovate alternative diets where he can. I love it! I can't wait to see what else comes to the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Cool ambiance. Wonderful tequila options and they make a great margarita.

Yelp
Consistently solid tacos and more, served family style in a live, festive atmosphere. * Friendly staff * Kids' menu * Vegan and meat options * Killer happy hour margaritas * Thick, crunchy tortilla chips served with salsa and flight of hot sauces Easily one of my favorite neighborhood spots!

Yelp
Great service, food was amazing and Mezcal Monday was fantastic. Definitely plan on going back for Tequila Tuesday.

Mike S.

Yelp
I love this place! The bar area is massive and fun to sit at and the food is some of the best Mexican in town. It's all about the meats and they have the meats!
google avatar

DivingButterfly K.

Yelp
Best tacos in town! We have been to nearly every taco spot in town and this is our favorite. High quality ingredients, everything is fresh including the tortillas, family style, locally sourced meats, not overly spicy or salty, consistently fantastic food. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I'm absolutely shocked that anyone would choose any other place besides this restaurant. Todo is the most authentic Mexican cuisine we've ever had in Portland. It's truly delicious and better than anything else. Don't buy into the hype of Nuestra Cocina- Todo is 10x better
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
This restaurant is at SE Hawthorne and 20th. Atmosphere A++, as was the food and margaritas. Tasty fresh made salsas, meat, and tortillas. Friendly and attentive staff.
google avatar

Gregory R.

Yelp
Super delicious food and a friendly staff. I ate until I was stuffed and then kept going. My 11 year old son claims he's not eating any other Mexican food again. Tinga, birria, and everything else was spot on. Over ordered and can say definitively that it makes amazing leftovers. We'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Food is a step up from regular American fare, subtly spiced and elegantly presented. Margs fine not great.
google avatar

Santana G.

Yelp
Excellent family style dinners. The pastor was definitely the hit and was fantastic. The mole chicken was great and had a hint spice and thankfully not too chalky. The cocktails were on point and I had a couple mezcal drinks. It's a lotta spendy but it's generous portions. We had a party of 7 and ordered 3 family style entrees plus a few apps. We still had a few to go boxes after dinner.

Yelp
Sorry, not a great score, but I do think there's potential if they can get their service figured out. The food was actually quite good. The main problem was that service was super spotty and odd. Distracted. The server didn't ask if we'd been there or understood the strange 1/2 pound, whole pound taco plate thing. They were having some sort of "sale" on "standard" margs, or did we want the "pint" size anyway? What now? Is that like happy hour? What is happening?! Took a minute to figure out all the pieces. Then we got abandoned for quite a while. Then the check dropped on us after our drinks arrived. "Don't feel you need to rush to leave." Umm... ok. Thanks? You know just... odd. I'd go back if they survive long enough to figure out their service.

Yelp
Ate here 5 times when i lived in portland. The food is AWESOME. The service. EVERY time was aweful. Not like rude but all but one time we went we got sat and waited at least 20 minutes before someone came up to us. But never fear. The food is worth the wait. Love the concept too!
google avatar

Hula H.

Yelp
Crap on crap on crap. Poor service, poor quality, lackluster ambiance. Informed a manager, Marco, of the 15 mins just to get water and menus and after the super basic over priced food, waited another 20 mins just for the check, (while other tables that were seated after us), were promptly served and left way before us. And all we got was an "okay". Just a shame. Not going back. Guess they don't care.
google avatar

Yelp
Margaritas are delicious and Best carne asadas ever! So flavorful! I like the way its served family style. A bit on the spendy side but isn't everything these days?
google avatar

Tracey L.

Yelp
We will definitely go back. The food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. We went with the complete meal option, ordering the pastor and pescado. The pastor was tender and flavorful. The pescado was good, but next to the pastor, it was much lighter in flavor. For the sides, ask if you can get a refill. Finally, we went during "wing week," so we had their special chicken wings as an appetizer. They were yummy (and spicy). Hopefully they'll become permanent items on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
It was my husband's birthday and we chose to visit Todo on the recommendation of a friend. So glad we came. The food was wonderful. We picked the Pastor and the Asada. Perfect picks, but we should have ordered the larger size because the dishes were that tasty.
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
This is an up and coming place. Drinks are very good. The food is super fresh with all kind of side accoutrements to zest up your selections. Its a challenge to find restaurant the breaks out of the formulation if Mexican foods that Americans like. This one does it well and its a good place in a great neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
I would easily give this 6 stars for the food if I could. By far my favorite food in the Portland area that I have had lately. The carne Asada was done perfectly. Absolutely delicious, and the best carne asada I can remember to date. Paired with the arbol salsa My tongue was busting from flavor. The pescado fish was done very well, a nice light breading with flavor to compliment the fish. We ended up putting some of the guac from the chips and guac on the fish tacos which really gave a fresh feeling to the taco. The flan was done well, you did lose some of the creamy texture towards the outer portion of the flan, which did take away from it a bit. We also got the tres leches and that was sublime. The cherries and cherry drizzle around complimented the spongy cake so well. Paired with the creaminess it was a dessert well worth remembering. Lastly we get to the cocktails. I was not impressed. My anejo old fashioned was extremely sweet, the margarita was overly salty and the frosé was mediocre. As far as cocktails go I'd probably skip, but with the food being some of my favorite I've had I'll be going back shortly!

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is perfect, cute environment! Moving to Portland from Phoenix has been a struggle when it comes to finding good Mexican food.... but this place is perfect. Similar to a lot of traditional Mexican places I was used to. I went here 2 days in a row because it was so good. Pollo Enchilado, to die for! Horchata, amazing! My new fav when I want amazing tacos and salsas.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
5 stars because I can't give it 6. Holy ****. Blown away by how good this place is. Three of us split the asada family dinner and pinto beans. Meat was super tender and well-seasoned, sides (tortillas, crema, cotija, consommé and a reallllly good chili oil) let everyone customize to their taste. Already planning a return visit with a larger group to try more meats.
google avatar

Citlali P.

Yelp
Good food service and ambiance. It's a good way to eat Mexican food family style: the birria was delicious!
google avatar

Alexis Z.

Yelp
Firstly Service and knowledgeable about the entire menu And amazing recommendations Secondly Food was out of this world good I brought back leftovers ( I ordered big) And roommate really loved it Too; and had to know where I got the food so he could take a special someone to a great place Even the next warming up the leftovers made the whole house smell fantastic Highly recommended And I will go back and tip 30% again because I felt so good having this amazing meal with a terrific friend

Yelp
Al pastor to die for. Wonderful condiments. Yay meat. Order more than you think you'll need.

Lynda S.

Yelp
The food was excellent. They serve family style with several really tasty meat options and sides. Great service and ambiance. We also enjoyed the desserts.

Anne S.

Yelp
We walked in @ 8:50pm and asked if they were still serving. They were closing at 9pm but were happy to take us in. We ordered the family style pollo enchilado. It was absolutely delicious - "with hints of dark chocolate flavor without chocolate." They have great cocktails, too! We met the owner and he told us about their seasonal cocktails. We will definitely be back with friends and family!

Betty K.

Yelp
Great service and vibe. We ordered two 1/2 lb with 4 fixings for 3 people. food is excellent

Kim T.

Yelp
terrible food and staff. overpriced. they try to pass off as authentic but far from it

Jeff E.

Yelp
Went there for dinner with my family. Wait staff was awesome. Ambience is very chill and upbeat. Menu has a lot of very delicious options for food and drink. Food was AMAZING! We ordered pescador, carnitas, birria, and suador(sp?). Everything was delicious. A must-do if you're seeking delicious Mexican food! I definitely recommend! I am going to keep coming back!!!
google avatar

Hilary J.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. They've really gone above and beyond to make this new spot a great experience for its customers all around. Gorgeous interior renovation since this space was Blackbird Pizza. Unbelievable cocktails! I highly recommend Jorge's Escape. My favorite by far. They participated in wing week this year and they were the best wings I've had in a long time. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming and you feel like part of the family. Check this place out!
google avatar

PS S.

Yelp
Great waiter, superior drinks, my carnivorous friends were in heaven! I highly recommend!

Yelp
So good! Raving about this place. Can't wait to come back. The drink were really good to.

Yelp
Fantastic food, it's out of this world. Order everything but don't forget the Flann. Highly recommend Todo to everyone wanting new experience in dining.
google avatar

G M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, amazing service, tasty cocktails, delectable food. Best meal I've had in a while. Tried the quesabirria, ceviche, and the choninita pibil special. Their salsas were all so flavourful. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu. Highly recommend. I hope some day they do a special brunch; would love to see what they come up with.

Lori K.

Yelp
It was crowded but host was so friendly as to make sure we were comfortable while we waited for a table. Max, our waiter, gave great recommendations and we had the perfect amount of delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend the carne asada. And as basic as rice and beans sound, they were soooooo tasty.

Delaney K.

Yelp
Great food, great service, good vibes. Had multiple different employees checking on us throughout and seemed super genuine and kind. The food was authentic and super delicious! Loved it!!
google avatar

Harlan B.

Yelp
We were concerned that it would be too much food when we saw the menu, but the concept of small plates of different flavors that you assemble yourself was delightful. Marco, owner & Chef of Basta & Cibo, has once again created a gem.
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
I used to live a few blocks away from this location when it was Vincente's (and then Blackbird) Pizza -- I had no idea going in that I'd enjoy this restaurant more than either of the previous joints. The sauces here BLEW MY DOORS off, and each veggie and pollo taco I ate was superb. The beer also came in a perfectly chilled glass and that just pleases me more than I can say. Please go try this tasty spot for yourself!

Anne O.

Yelp
This new restaurant in town has the best authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine. Food can be ordered individually or family style. Patrons can see the clean, efficient kitchen and experience friendly, attentive staff. Both of the owners even came out to visit with us. They have amazing creative cocktails along with traditional margaritas and an extensive tequila list. Highly recommend. I will be going back!

Julie G.

Yelp
Great vibes at this spot, excellent food and service! Flavors are truly amazing!! We will be back.....
