Todos Santos

"The triumvirate of owners here may not be from Mexico, but thanks to time done in SoCal, they have a strong grasp over the nation's cuisine. Named for a town on the Baja California Peninsula, the eponymous gem brings a strong dose of magic to this mountainous terrain. Don't be fooled by its mall surrounds, as it's a verdant spot serving delicious food and creative sips—try the organic margarita to get what all the fuss is about. The staff is friendly and attentive to requests. Head to the patio when the sun is out to savor halibut tempura tacos with a salad of cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo. The "Veracruz vegetarian enchilada" is another favorite, teeming with vegetables and salsa verde. Come rain or shine, caramel churros are a desirable finale." - Michelin Inspector

Gave this spot two chances, and both times fell flat. The food was underwhelming, and the cocktails were honestly not great. Service tends to be slow, and while the ambiance is decent, it’s not enough to make up for the rest. For better flavor and overall experience, I’d stick with Carmelitas or Calo’s. Just not for me.

Google
The food and service were excellent! The mole was absolutely amazing, though I wish they served a bit more of it. Thankfully, when I asked for extra, they were more than happy to accommodate. The drinks were also fantastic, rounding out a great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I'm 86 and have visited many Mexican restaurants during years. This was my first visit. Try it once and you'll be back..... The fajitas were outstanding with a great presentation. The salsa was very tasty and perfectly spicy. The staff is attentive with friendly smiles. I will return. Service is a reflection of management and team work.

Google
This is a nice upscale Mexican restaurant. They have a really good selection or margaritas. I got their Todos Santos spicy margarita with roasted pineapple, which had chunks of pineapple and jalapeños in it. I also got their Mezcalito that had a jalapeño agave mix. Both were very good and had a little kick to them which I liked. Now I know we were a large group but our appetizers came out before our drinks. For an appetizer we got ceviche. It looked amazing but it was served in a hollowed coconut. It didn’t say that on the menu and unfortunately my friend is allergic to coconut so we had to order another one without it. It had really good flavor and it was a bit spicy which again I love the spice. For my entree I got the pastor tacos. Usually when I order tacos they come made already but not theses they were served more like a fajita style it came in a skillet with the pastor and pineapples and the tortillas, salsa verde, & onion cilantro on the side. I had to make my own tacos and they didn’t give me a plate to do so. In my opinion there was way too much pineapple probably more pineapple than meat and the meat was dry. I wouldn’t recommend this for an entree maybe an appetizer but not really a good pastor taco. Overall it’s a very good place if it wasn’t for the slow service on drinks I would have had a third drink. The drinks are worth coming for and the atmosphere here is amazing with fireplaces and plenty of seating. Worth story if you’re in the area.

Visited this place over the weekend with a bunch of friends to celebrate a birthday. This place is right in the heart of RSM and has really nice Mexican food. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks and all were pretty good. They do have chips and salsa as complementary appetizers and all of us got almost full eating them. For the given price, I felt the quantity of guacamole was less. The same goes with other dishes. They are on the pricey side. The ambience is really good with all natural plants around and lively music being played in the background. The staff is also very courteous and friendly. Overall we had a good experience and will surely visit again for some celebration.

We enjoyed our meal here. Nice seating by the fireplace made it special. Veggie enchileda was very good. Blackened halibut tacos good, but a bit fishy tasting. Great salsa. Diego provided excellent, caring service.

Modern music combined with a modern Mexican atmosphere will make you feel as if you're in a high-end Cabo resort. DJ and dancing on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Beautifully presented portions and generous drinks, even for Happy Hour! Outdoor tables available with heaters. Danny the manager and Bianca our server were very attentive. Carmella showed us excellent customer service by keeping our chips full and salsa fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
We were there on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, there were 6 tables seated and a few people at the bar. Our server was not friendly or personable, she did her job but not with a smile. The food (chicken tostada $22 and halibut tacos $27) took forever to come out even though they were not busy. The food was fine, chips, salsa and Margarita were OK. Nothing special to make me return - the service, food and view are better at Carmelita's and prices are similar.

Yelp
The chili verde made with pork osso buco is by far the best I've ever tasted. Fell right off the bone, absolutely masterful preparation, gorgeous texture. The verde sauce was so flavorful with the perfect amount of heat. This place is a gem. Great quality food. Must be made with love!

Yelp
When I walk into the bar and say thank you I appreciate it; and they say no we appreciate you coming in.. that's when I know we're in a good spot. Good food. Good drinks. Good service. No complaints to the taco trio, Pork Belly Tacos, and Tamale trio. And maybe a few Margs. Delicious. Will be back.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my family and it was good! I wish they had lunch specials though as the food was a bit pricey for what you get. FOOD: I had the short rib enchiladas which was very tasty. SERVICE: Our server was nice and friendly and took care of us. AMBIANCE: Nice restaurant and atmosphere.

Yelp
Food was incredible. The shrimp was the best my husband ever had; perfectly seasoned and cooked. The tacos were really good with a very spicy smoky salsa I really enjoyed. The drinks were amazing but the margarita was a little too sweet for me. The salt on the rim really helped. Our Server, Claudia was amazing! The service was over the top and the food came out fast. The restaurant was well decorated and had a cozy romantic vibe. We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back!

Yelp
We went for a happy hour at the bar and it was pretty nice. We didn't know what to expect from the night and the people coming in, but the food was good!! And definitely worth the happy hour price. It was a fun vibe and we'd go back again.

Andrea M.

Yelp
Food was cold, service was atrocious and drinks were completely overpriced. We will not be back

Yelp
Todos Santos takes the familiar and takes it up several notches. Believe me, you want to be here for it. THE FOOD. - Chips and Salsa | Chips are house made, as well as the salsa, which is on the spicy side. But it's the complimentary creamy queso bowl with bits of pork, beans, and onions that got me. Never pass up the queso. - Crispy Pork Belly | Small chunks of delicious crispy pork belly in a sea of pinto beans, pickled onions, chipotle mayo, and jalapeños. Although the corn and flour tortillas are not made at the restaurant, they are made fresh at another location and delivered every day. - Short Rib Enchiladas | Flavorful enchiladas with plenty of red sauce and tender short ribs. It also comes with a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. Nicely done. - Oaxaca Steak Tacos | A skillet arrives full of Oaxaca cheese and tender, crispy steak cuts. This is a build your own taco, accompanied by side of tortillas. A dish to try out, confirmed. THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Coronarita | House made margarita with a small Corona turned upside down in the cup; it's like having two drinks in one. The sweet and zesty flavors are an inviting treat. - Tamarindo Margarita | Bold and flavorful twist on the classic margarita; blending the sweet and tarty taste of tamarind with the refreshing, citrusy notes of tequila and lime. Small chunks of tamarind are mixed into the drink and garnished with a banderita straw (tamarind candy coated in chili powder). Highly recommend. THE PARKING. Free parking, no issues finding an open spot. THE RETURN? 1000% returning.

Yelp
Really disgusted with this place after many times I have been here... unfortunately when I had asked the bartenders to prevent a problem that involved my girl and her kid, they did nothing. What ended up happening is an older gentleman who was very intoxicated who had ordered NOTHING was very loud and bumping in to my girl and her son on multiple occasions. I asked MULTIPLE workers to do something about this and they did NOTHING. The older gentleman ended up TOUCHING my girl while he was leaving while making a scene. If this is the kind of thing they will allow, I have NOTHING GOOD to say about this place. Probably will be my last time in this establishment because I will not subject the people I care about to this kind of behavior. My kid told me he was SCARED and I had to reassure him multiple time that I would protect him at all costs. Extremely disappointed in this establishment.

Yelp
Excellent service and foodWould highly recommend going here for any occasion! Beautiful patio area and bar! Lobster rellano is to die for!

Yelp
This place has good food and a lovely atmosphere! The outdoor space is well heated and very comfortable and spacious. Service is also very good. Portions are on the smaller side but good quality overall. A nice place for casual celebrations!

Yelp
The food and drinks were delightful. I ordered the chicken mole, and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, with rich, complex flavors that felt incredibly authentic. Each bite was a tantalizing experience that transported me straight to the heart of Mexico. To accompany my meal, I chose a Cantarito, which was perfectly refreshing and provided the ideal balance of citrus and sweetness, making it a fantastic complement to the dish. The service was another highlight of the evening; the waitstaff was attentive and genuinely friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience with their warm hospitality. The restaurant itself boasted stunning décor, both inside and out. The combination of vibrant colors and intricate details created an inviting atmosphere. The ambiance was primarily electric and filled with energy as the DJ played a captivating mix of music that got everyone in the mood to enjoy the night. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I can't wait to relive!

Yelp
I've been a few times now and the service and quality of food has been superb. Good quality and generous portions. Drinks are also good. I sit at the bar and the bar staff is attentive and friendly. I'll continue to come back.

Yelp
Great experience at Todos Santos. Warm inviting fireplace outside, great food options- and don't forget the "Secret Menu" I highly recommend the Tropical Salmon Salad- it's the perfect lunch item for the season. Thanks for the wonderful service and muchos gracias Daniel!

Savi L.

Yelp
Even though the food was just ok the worst part was the experience. Do not ever go there on a hot day or evening they don't turn the air condition on because the windows are open. Even when you ask them more than once . Have a very uncomfortable and unpleasant, expensive Mexican meal. First and last time I will dine there.

Richard C.

Yelp
Just has a mid afternoon lunch. Diego was our server, he was incredible. I ordered the Carnitas plate, the flavor was great as was the amount of Carnitas. My 3 star rating has to due with the amount of fat that was in the Carnitas. My guest ordered the Chimichanga combo. It came with rice and beans, covered with wet sauce. It was incredible!

Yelp
Nice place everyone is friendly they stay ontop of things always asking if you.l need anything everyone knows me by name. Food is good and prices aren't bad. I always enjoy the steak fajitas and fried ice cream when I come.

Yelp
Killer happy hour (2pm-6pm bar area only.) Amazingly delicious tacos, hand made tortillas friendly welcoming servers (Juan at the bar was super attentive and quick.), Great music. Highly recommend their short rib, pork belly and skirt steak tacos - 3 tacos for $10 made with this much love is unheard of! Also the salsa it comes with is the perfect amount of heat.

Yelp
We're so glad we made the decision to switch from Malta's in Lake Forest to this restaurant. We arrived at 9:30 pm, just in time for happy hour, which was perfect since we were already full but disappointed with the drinks at the other place. The drinks here were fantastic, and the atmosphere was even better! The staff and customers were lively, and the dance floor added a fun touch. The appetizers were great too. We stayed until closing at 12:30 am. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the full menu since we were already full, but we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my bday with a friend and it was such a fun night! They had a DJ playing reggaeton, Latin music, and a little hip hop. Live music is every Friday night from 9pm-1:30am. Everyone was super friendly and the servers were even dancing- that says a lot about how happy the employees are there, and I totally support that. I ordered the shrimps and scallops entree and it was delicious. My only gripe is the scallops were over cooked and what should have been large scallops shrunk down to smaller pieces and were chewy- hence the minus one star. It was served over 3 thick asparagus pieces and the sauces were amazing. Checkout the pics. I plan to revisit to try their other dishes, on a Friday night of course.

Yelp
Do not go here to celebrate a birthday! Last night, our party of 6 adults ordered entrees, margaritas and wine. Check came to $250, yet they wouldn't provide a small celebratory dessert to honor our birthday attendee! They told me we would have to purchase a $2 cupcake and they would bring it out with a candle. Also, while the food was nice, the portions were small (and the prices pretty high). Will not come back again.

Yelp
The food and staff was amazing. We moved here a year ago and I have missed having access to good Latino food. Came here today and will definitely be back. This is the most authentic Latino food I have had since moving in the area. Everything was fresh, the tacos were unbelievable and brought me back to my many trips to different states in Mexico. If you haven't been here you are missing out. This is the best place for amazing food and to top it off they have great refreshing drinks too. I can't wait to try out their mole next time.

Yelp
Overall good food, good drinks, good service but a little slow. The margaritas were delicious. Beautiful ambiance.

Yelp
My friend Dj's here on weekends here if you are looking for a vibe and just to dance this place is great for music. Food is also very delicious and great happy hour menu. The service here is top notch. Decir come here for taco Tuesdays.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and very friendly staff. We usually come in for lunch and have seen it fill up pretty quickly esp on weekends. The food is really good. Love the shrimp taquitos and crispy pork belly appetizers. They have some of the best chips in town although the salsa is very mild but it's easy to fill up before your entree arrives. I've been disappointed in the size of some of the brunch items but generally a good amount of food. Love the carnitas, chili verde, short rib and chicken suiza enchiladas. Excellent flavors and very authentic tasting with a lot of options. We've never really had a bad meal here. It is pretty pricey. You can usually find a few in the $22-$25 range but it's easy to go much (much) higher.
google avatar

Yelp
My family absolutely loves this Mexican restaurant! The service is always so great: quick, friendly, and welcoming. It is usually busy so either make a reservation or expect to wait a little bit (not too long). I love their tostada salad, salmon plate, and tacos. Everything here is so good, especially their chips and salsa!!! They get you hooked on their chips and salsa before dinner haha!
google avatar

Yelp
Really great food, amazing presentation, and good, friendly service. Ambiance is amazing as well. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Listen: Ignore all other reviews. If you want some of the best tacos of your life, go to Todos Santos and get the Oaxaca Steak Tacos. You're served skirt steak, melted oaxaca cheese, and pickled onions in a small cast iron skillet. You cut up the steak and assemble your own tacos. Do yourself a favor and add a bit of the green salsa it comes with as well. I don't know how else to describe it so let me just put it this way: Sometimes when I eat really good food, I almost feel angry. I WAS FURIOUS. On our drive home, my wife and I were frantically discussing/fantasizing about the next time we come to this restaurant JUST for these tacos. We even joked about moving closer so we could have it more often ("joked"). I can't speak for anything else on the menu. If you came just for these tacos, you'd at least have one of the best tacos of your life.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is fantastic, service is great and the ambiance is warm an inviting. We've been several times now and food is consistently good. Patio is lovely and has a great fireplace.

Yelp
This was my first time having a meal at Todos Santos, and overall it was a solid dining experience. On a Taco Tuesday, we were seated relatively promptly in the enclosed patio (even though there were plenty of available tables inside). Our server arrived promptly and took our drink and meal orders. The food followed the drinks relatively quickly. As a couple, we had each had entrees and adult beverages. In addition, our server smartly brought a second round of crispy chips and salsa. Overall, our meals and the service we were provided was good. I'd certainly return to Todos Santos for another meal. Of interest, we were given two menus and one was "special" which did not have the prices displayed, which I thought was odd. In addition, I was told by an associate there was a Taco Tuesday menu which only came on request.

Yelp
Amazing food, flavor and very friendly and hospitality staff. Appetizers , main dishes ...all is great ... First time to try it and will definitely come back again.

Yelp
If I can give this place, zero stars I would. I told myself not to come back to this place, because the first time I came wasn't that great Last night was probably the worst restaurant service I've ever received. So, first of all the hostess seated us at a table with no lights the lights bulb was broken and it was completely dark so we moved tables. Then I took a while for the waiter to come and once he came, he seemed like to be in a rush and didn't even write down the order. I am not impressed when someone doesn't write down the order and they memorize it because then I'm worried that they're going to get it wrong. And he did get it wrong because when he repeated what I ordered, it was completely wrong so I had to say it again. And then we did not see our waiter for 40 minutes. I am not joking 40 minutes! My husband and I were trying to have a nice date night, we had a really long week and we are parents and we just wanted a nice night and it was horrible. At the 40 minute mark the waiter finally came by and said oh your food's gonna be out in a little bit. Really you should've come out before that. And then we waited another five minutes. The food did not come, and we literally got up and left. I've never done that before. And I will never ever ever come back to this establishment again. The management is very very poor. The waiter was not doing a great job. The hostess was not friendly. Very mismanaged and I'm surprised this place is in business to be honest. I'm gonna tell everyone not to come here. Prices by the way, or way, overpriced and services is horrible and I don't need to come back here. So we went next-door to tutu fresco, which is night and day and feels like home and was a beautiful experience and we loved it so.

Yelp
Food is always good fresh, served hot! Service is on point, never waiting for long to get anything that's asked for. The atmosphere is nice, usually sit by the fire place, listen to the live DJ on Tuesday nights if we're there long enough. This is a happening place. The best authentic Mexican "fresh" food, nothing from frozen or plastic bags. Been here a lot this past year and no complaints!! #1 spot! Thank you Danny. Blessings to you

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. We love going to meet our family there for dinner. Definitely one of our favorites.

Yelp
Tonight, July 20, 2024, we made reservations for dinner at 7:15. We were greeted by the friendly hostess and she asked us if we preferred inside or outside. We love this restaurant's pretty patio that has such a nice ambiance. Our server was Angel and he did an excellent job making sure are drinks were filled and order came out quickly. Angel even went the extra mile when we had a mishap with spilling our food. So very nice of him. The food was delicious, too!!My husband had a burrito which was a nice sized portion. I had the short rib enchiladas which were delicious. Also, don't skip the corn esquites on the menu. It's a yummy side. We will be back and we sure do hope our community supports this great business!

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! This place stands out amidst a sea of great Mexican restaurants in Southern California. The food was fresh, healthful and memorable. Staff were fab too.
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
Excellent food and fantastic service. The friendliest staff, from host to servers, to food runners - everyone in the place said hello when we came in and then thanked us on the way out. Patio is covered and has a fireplace, so it is perfect for these colder evenings (if you want to pass on indoor or have your pup with you).
google avatar

Krystel K.

Yelp
The first time my friends and I came here, we were blown away by their food. The place is very quiet, which we liked because we had a baby with us. The service was great as well. Second time came around, my boyfriend and I got bottomless mimosas and let me tell you, you'll never see the bottom of that glass, lol! We had also asked if we could get the TV changed to a sports channel and they did not hesitate. I love this place and would definitely come back!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is not honored by this restaurant, even though it is advertised, on the search online and QR code at the bar. We had good food but saw a higher price on the bill and inquired with the our waiter and waitress. They said the manager would come over and he eventually did to give us a lengthy explanation about why there is a glitch in their system. We just wanted the price adjusted based on what we saw and showed them. But, he kept talking about the 2019 menu and why they should charge for chips and salsa, etc. When we said we would not be coming back, he said he would not charge us. So, we tipped our servers $20 and left frustrated.
google avatar

Laurie S.

Yelp
Changed my review. This place definitely got better! They have a great taco Tuesday. Love their chips and salsa too.

Yelp
This looked like a cool spot and the pics of food looked delicious but the reality was different. It wasn't bad, it was ok. I got the seafood enchiladas and it was actually quite delicious but the rice and beans were bland, I just took a bite. The pork belly was odd. Service was lacking. Our server was nice enough but her English was pretty bad and we had lots of misunderstandings. We had to ask several times for paper napkins. I ordered esquites that never arrived, then when followed up, she said she thought I canceled it because I ordered enchiladas, not sure how that happened but then the order was put in and it was fine. We got the tamarindo margaritas, one virgin and it was fine but my friend says hers was too sour. The place was modern looking and the fire place looked cool but it was very cold inside and we even moved to another table but was still cold.

John B.

Yelp
The food was delicious, well cooked with tons of great flavor. 5stars for the food. The drinks were not well made at all. Bloody Mary mix was tomato sewer and short pour on the margarita's. Go for the food, but drink the water and save your money on the drinks, unless it's beer.

Arshia P.

Yelp
Good food and good service. Had house margaritas and was perfectly made. Carnitas was perfectly cooked.

Yelp
We had a giant party for a bday and Sabrina was our waitress. She was so great. We had the best experience and the best service. She was sweet, efficient, helped us split our checks at the end and then brought us water when we were dancing. Such a doll. We will be back.

Yelp
First time here! I loved my food very much because it was delicious, Sabrina was a great server, the ambiance was really neat, and I also enjoyed listening to the music, too!

Yelp
Visited this little gem after doing a tequila-tasting nearby. The ambiance, the decor, and the waitstaff were all pretty impressive. The food and drinks were also well above average. And I really liked that our waiter went out of his way to fix an incorrect order for one member of our party. This is a very reputable and enjoyable spot.
