"This restored 80-year-old Japanese home houses a rustic and atmospheric dining room. To enter, diners walk through a small courtyard covered in antique tiles with water pooling over them. Only prix-fixe menus are offered; ingredients are mostly from Taiwan, prepared using classical French techniques, with an element of surprise in the tastes, textures and even temperatures of the food." - Michelin Inspector

Really nice ambience, industrial and zen at the same time. Enjoyed a quite peaceful lunch. The dishes were all quite tasty and flavorful, good creativity. The only disappointment was the souffle desert, didn't like the texture, though presentation was nice. Great service staff!

Service is good and the ambience is really nice but the food was very disappointing for the price we paid. Flavour was average and plating needs improvement. I had pretty high expectations and unfortunately, none of the dishes wowed me. Mostly sub par. (This is a late review)

Very sumptuous and filling Michelin Dinner at Toh-A. Especially love the Lobster Bisque Mixed Seafood, Noodle Soup. Super good service and very attentive server.

Good food but some of it are normal I like everything except the main dish The main dish is small compare to the plate that is so big and the meat is tender but not good Not enough flavor You should order other main dish don't order the steak ( I ate lunch set ) And the service is good but some of the services are not good enough the volume of their speaking is small like I can barely hear you talking

Amazing restaurant experience. Each dish was curated and well executed with perfect balance and fine presentation. A special occasion spot that didn't disappoint.

We brought visitors from out of town and they absolutely enjoy the food and environment of the restaurant. The only reason the service star is so low is because of one man, one person who I assume was the manager. Pros: - beautiful interior and decor. Really impressed our guests - beautiful dishes and layout from beginning yo end. We especially loved the foie gras on thé taro. - all the female staff were courteous and tried to explain each dish as much as possible. Also helped warned which plates were extremely hot. - great CP level of cost to quality of food. Extremely well priced and extremely delicious - Hidden dessert (soufflé) is a nice element, remember to pre-order this off menu secret! Cons: - the supposed tall man with glasses and white gloves, whom I assumed was the manager is terrible. Poor attitude, poor service. Has his nose up in the air as if he is too good for service. Barely explained the dishes in detail (huge contrast to other servers) and when he was taking away the big meat knives, he wasn’t even aware that he swung the sharp end so close to our faces. I watched in horror as it was very close to our guests faces. Even others at the table noticed. Would have had higher expectations for this so called manager. If you are unlucky to have him serve your table, best call on the others to help. - lobster noodle bisque was delicious but extremely heavy especially with the noodles. Unfortunately bc of this dish we could barely finish our entrees. Wish it had been less heavy despite the tastiness.

My husband and I had a great time having dinner here. We loved the retro roof design giving an understated n interesting look. The quiet and relaxing ambience were just what we were looking for. Really enjoyed many courses in the dinner set. We could taste the freshness of the ingredients and liked how the original flavors of the ingredients were kept. The touch of HKnese flavors was quite a surprise, too. The taro cake was super creamy and the sorbet was so delicious. I couldn't get enough of it. What an ingenious idea to put it before the main course to clean the palete. The presentation of serving the sorbet was theatrical, so much fun! The waiters were attentive n took time to explain every course which we appreciated.

Average food quality and too salty. The waiter was trying really hard to make up for us. Thanks for his efforts though. Such a great lad. But still the quality and whole atmosphere was just OK as there was a big group around making much noise. Really annoying!!! The duck foir gras and the lobster soup were OK. Not really a good experience thought. Pity.
