Tokyo Asia Fusion

We ordered several dishes, and everything was pretty satisfying overall. The orange chicken was the highlight — the sauce was sweet and tangy, and the chicken pieces were crispy on the outside while staying tender inside. The portion size was generous, and the fresh broccoli on the side balanced the flavor nicely. The pad thai was flavorful with a good mix of noodles, shrimp, tofu, and vegetables. It had a nice stir-fried aroma and just the right amount of sweetness, and the crushed peanuts on the side added a great texture. The salmon roll was simple but fresh. The rice was soft and not overly seasoned, and the salmon tasted clean. It wasn’t fancy, but it was a solid roll. Overall, the meal had a good variety, the portions were large, and the flavors were satisfying. A good spot if you want casual Asian dishes all in one place.

Food was good! We had the Volcano Roll, Crunchy Roll, and Calamari. But, service was lacking. We never got plates or bowls. We only saw our waiter once to order food and after that it was just on us. We had to flag a random person to get our check.

Customer service was fantastic! Super cute! Chef was hilarious! Dinner and a show? Count me in! Food was fresh and delicious! Definitely going back!

My favorite place to eat sushi in Abilene, the service is incredible and fast, the food delicious and they have good prices.. a lot of variety of Japanese beer, good wine, and the waiter who always serves us is super fun.. recommended!

Fantastic beef and chicken. Sadly no duck cause they were out when we came, but it's definitely a place I'd drive out to again. That spice level 4 had a good kick in it, but loved every bit of it.

We've been here a few times and it hasn't disappointed yet. The katsu is crispy, I can finally get curry fried rice again, and the ramen hits the spot. Bento variety boxes are a family favorite and we can get them here too.

We went to Tokyo Asia Fusion for the first time today for the Monday 50% off special. It was AMAZING! Our waiter was awesome and quick with service. Between me and my husband, we had 4 bowls of onion soup (all complimentary), delicious thai chicken fried rice, udon noodles, and orange chicken. We were flabbergasted that each plate was $7! Such a great deal. I immediately messaged all of my family about it! Will be returning tomorrow for the next special.

Panang Curry add shrimp $14.95 + $4, spice level 1. Good size portion for price. Made two meals out of it. Enjoyed the nice depth of flavor. Spice level was just enough to give me that mouth and face tingling I enjoy. Dish had about 6 shrimp medium size cooked to perfection. Potato and carrots were cut crinkle style, the potato was nice and soft and held its shape well without falling apart. The carrot was thin and wide and was also cooked perfectly. My Aunt said her Tofu Massaman Curry ($14.95) + $2 was the best she's had in 4 years. She's a connoisseur of curries and enjoyed hers at spice level 3 which was perfect for her. My Cousin had the House Salmon Bowl $14.95 which included mix of masago, edamame, cucumber, white and green onions, furikake, ponzu and sriracha. Served over rice or salad with seaweed salad and crab salad. The portion looked small, but the dish was deeper than it appeared and he was very satisfied with his portion and said it was very good! Very attentive and friendly staff! Clean environment! We unanimously agreed we'd be back!

The food was absolutely delicious. The gyoza was cooked perfectly, and the ramen wasn't salty at all, some places make it too salty but this one is perfect. The service was great and everyone was super attentive and very helpful, always asking if we needed anything. The restaurant wasn't too loud, pretty manageable and it was nice, but too bright but not too low with the lighting. Definitely looking forward to going back

We have always liked Tokyo Asia Fusion, but we have always ordered off the menu. Last night, we did the hibachi grill for something special. We were both disappointed. First, that part of the restaurant is VERY warm, I guess because of the grills. Definitely need some fans back there. The service was good, and our chef was very entertaining, but the food was just ok. Hibachi places we have been to in the past have had excellent food, but it just didn't happen tonight. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, but for the price you expect better. We will be back, but we'll go back to ordering off the menu. See ya!

Great hibachi food, great atmosphere, and they let my kid feed the fish! Sushi rolls and apps were good as well

The food was subpar. My Ramen broth had no flavor and it was a weird texture of meats (chicken/pork). The Hell ramen had some spice but no flavor. The service was poor we received our soup cold. The ambiance was very loud and crowded more like a country bar than a Japanese fusion restaurant.

We went there last week and I was extremely pleased. I don't know the name of which one I got, but it was something "roll". It was crispy and had vegetables in the center. It was awesome. I'll be back soon!

Always delicious! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare. The service was fast and friendly.

Very cool interior and friendly / funny staff. Had a great experience with my fiancé here, and would highly recommend. The food was all great the only nit pick was that the shrimp could have had a little more seasoning, but nothing to complain about. A little on the pricey side if you get hibachi, but if you want the same food at a cheaper price they have a normal restaurant style dining experience with the same flavors. 10/10

Good service, clean place. Sushi overall was just OK. Nothing to write home about, but not something I'd complain very much. Fish quality definitely not something you'll be impressed with, or the amount of it in a sushi. But their deep fried roll was very crunchy.

Food was mediocre. Service was good. We went because of the advisement attached which they refused to honor. The manager refused to talk to me, but the waitress said it's "because it's Christmas". I don't see any fine print on there saying that they aren't honoring it on certain days? Will not be back.

We have ate here for the past several years. It has improved tremendously over the last year. Typically we dine in and if there's an error with our food we are able to send it back. Today I ordered to go for only the second time and was disappointed that the order was not correct. I ordered dinners that were supposed to include salad soup and rice, but neither dinners had salad or soup. My daughters kids meal had fries instead of fried rice. Because we live an hour away I always check food before going home. The young lady at the register did explain that to go orders are handled different. I told her it would've been nice to been told that you don't get salad or soup. She explained that they don't put it in there unless you ask. That was kind of dumb. After asking for the missing items and replacing the fries I went on my way. Overall the meal was good. The sushi really lacked flavor today, I am sure that is because again it was takeout. The steak was supposed to be medium rare. It was well done. There was not one single piece of pink in

Service was great. But the food is so so at best. The peanut chicken tastes like it was made with Jiff. The curry is bland and the rice is hard. The sushi rolls were oddly big and not easy to eat, and very dense. Overall not a good food experience.

We were seated quick and service was great. Ordered a couple types of sushi and it was excellent. Even my wife, who is kinda picky enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it for a sushi fix.

I was super looking forward to coming here, but the experience wasn't what I thought it would be at all. I'm happy they have so many things on their menu to try, but what I got didn't feel like it was worth it at all. If you're wanting to have shrimp tempura as an appetizer, be wary. Panko bredding is used as a substitute, and it's not tasty at all. Panko is for things like korokke and tonkatsu, not this. It's false advertising, just call it panko shrimp on the menu instead. If you want their eggrolls you may have better luck. However, we got one burnt and the other perfect. Consistency isn't there at all. If you want a deep fried Sakura roll from them, be careful. The roll isn't what you espect when you read "deep fried" next to a roll on their menu. They just lightly coat the roll with flour and then fry it that way it seems. Unlike how other restaurants prepare it, the bredding was barely visible around the roll itself. It was made twice, and it still barely had a crunch when we ate it. Very underwhelming. If you want the Sweet & Sour chicken, it's not worth it. Cooked chicken with sweet & sour sauce slapped on. Yes, it was ordered without spice. However, places like Mian Bistro still make flavors pop with their sauces even when you ask for no spice on your food. This was incredibly and disappointingly bland. If you want the New York Steak hibachi, pray that it doesn't come out cold. The sides it came with were much hotter than this. It still tasted alright though. The best things eaten on that dish were the fried rice and vegetables. I really wanted to love this place, but given how big their menu is, I feel like things made are an afterthought. The menu is too ambitious, and it doesn't properly execute what it sets out to be. Everything suffers, nothing seems to be given proper attention to.

So I really liked this place. I happen to absolutely LOVE hibachi so I was thrilled this place is here. When you walk in, you get to choose between a regular booth or the grill so people who are just there for sushi don't have to sit through the hibachi which I found to be a nice touch. The food was so so good!!!! The portions are very large which is what I expect and the alcohol is reasonably priced which I appreciate. I also liked that they will cook even if it's just 2 people at the grill they don't do the whole "we have to wait for the table to be full" nonsense so you never wait very long for food. A little miscommunication in the beginning about who exactly our server was but other than that it was great!

Really solid food. Hot and fresh with authentic American/Asian flavors. Highly recommend.

Delicious sushi. The super crunchy roll and the red dragon were both refreshingly good. And the portion were more than plenty. We did order a combination stir fry and shrimp pad Thai to go along with it. The portion were so much that we asked for boxes to take some to go. Great tasting food, great portion and great service. This place is awesome! Great food, wonderful staff, and live music to go with it. Can't beat it. All staff wears a mask. The chef was super creative with cooking our food. The decor was nice to look at, and the drinks were delish. Can't wait to go back here!!!

What a great experience! The restaurant is spotless! The service was impeccable, from the moment we walked in to the very end! We chose the sushi bar, which is perfectly located in the middle where you can still watch the chefs cook at the hibachi grill (they seem like a ton of fun) Everything about this place was amazing! Every employee had a smile and seemed to enjoy their job! Especially being right before Christmas!! We really appreciate everything!! Oh ya and we had live music from a local musician, who was phenomenal!!! Thank you again and Merry Christmas!!!

I've lived all over the country and have eaten a LOSt of sushi....this little restaurant here in my new hometown of Abilene stands up with the best of them(especially for a "cowtown"). I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the waitstaff was awesome. Prices for their sushi and hibachi meals can't be beat. Definitely recommend!

I love this place! Service is great. Great for vegans! I've tried other Thai places in Abilene but this is my favorite. Love the fried tofu. Always crispy and warm. Sweet potato sushi is my favorite roll. Their prices are very reasonable. They have bento box specials for lunch. Variety of Thai food and the restaurant is connected to a hibachi restaurant so you can get either based on what the people you are with enjoy. One thing I very much appreciate is there is a choice of 15 different appetizers to choose from so if you're getting sushi but want something else on the side it's great.

I ordered lunch for my entire department today and the experience was amazing! I placed the order on their website and set it to be picked up at 12. As soon as I came through the doors, I was greeted by kind smiles all around. The owner went through every one of my 11 orders with me and marked it off as we went. He made sure we had every single thing we could possibly need. They even carried my food to the car for me! Now for the food! Everything tasted fresh, hot, and delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals and appreciated the accuracy of our order (whenever we order food from other places we're always missing something.) Please go give these awesome people some business! Tonight was a 1 star meal, so I'm averaging the delicious meals from the past with the subpar meal I ate tonight. There's a big sign that the restaurant is under new ownership. I've got some suggestions for the new owners: -Don't serve chipped sake caraf. -Don't serve chipped sake cups. -Monitor quality of sake. -Work on quality of sushi and sashimi. My favorite part of the meal: the fried tofu My wife's favorite part of the meal: the wasabi I probably won't be back here. Best of luck Tokyo Asia Confusion.

My family and I love this place! Whether we dine-in or have it delivered, we are never disappointed. We love the gyoza and spring rolls! And the combination fried rice makes everyone happy! The customer service is outstanding as well! Thankful to have this restaurant in our community.

The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. The food, however, wasn't the greatest. It was decent but not the best.

Maybe I'm easily impressed. I don't know. But I thought everything was fantastic. The chef, the food , entertainment..... even the wait.....We Mothers all chose to go to this spot. (On Mothers Day) And expected to wait a while but didn't have to wait at all. I was thrilled with everything. My brother on the other hand said it was a 'meh' experience and nothing to rave over. (That was on our first visit) On our next visit. Everything WAS SO MUCH BETTER! I could see what my brother meant by meh. Anyhow on both occasions I enjoyed myself and absolutely will return.

We craved for Japanese food and tried here. We immediately got seated but kind of waited a bit for a Habachi chef to be with us. He was great in tossing the food in the air, my kids enjoyed it. The food primarily the rice was a little bit salty. We ordered hibachi beef teriyaki and hibachi shrimp. The chicken katsu was delicious and has a big portion. The thai milk tea was legit! Overall i can visit again to try other dishes.

Went to Tokyo for Father's Day lunch today with my friends and their two children (ages 1 and 2). We were immediately seated by the host, who even opened the door for us as we walked in. Unfortunately, they only had 2 high chairs in the whole restaurant but the host was so creative. The man literally took his belt off to create a strap-in for a bar chair to be used as a high chair for the 2 year old. As soon as a high chair freed up, our waitress Lisa brought it over for the 1 year old. She was very nice and professional as she ran around serving half the restaurant. The host who sat us let us know half their staff called out but honestly service was impeccable. From the moment we stepped in the door, they were extremely accommodating as the three of us wrangled the kids and kept them calm watching tv on our phones. Lisa was very attentive despite a neighboring table being extremely demanding. All of us got filet cooked to different temperatures and all of our steak was cooked to perfection for what each of us ordered. I had the filet and scallops a d the scallops were super tender and also cooked to perfection. The hibachi chef put on a stellar show and interacted a lot with the kids which we really appreciated and let us know before he did anything with smoke and fire so the kids wouldn't get scared. Between stellar food, great prices, and EXCEPTIONAL customer service, this place deserves 10 stars. Run, don't walk to Tokyo next time you want some hibachi.

I do not recommend eating here ever. We asked for pan fried gyoza and got steamed, it came out cold and soggy. I ordered a filet and shrimp hibachi meal it was $28 and it came out cold and everything had and old smell and taste. We also ordered ramen and it was the most mediocre ramen I've ever tasted. It tasted very bland and definitely might have been instant ramen with a fried katsu on top which was also bland. Also the soda and water tasted dirty. Fortune cookies were good, hence the one star.

This is our favorite hibachi and sushi place in Abilene. The service is always awesome and it is clean. The hibachi chefs are usually really funny and the waiter is SOOO great and even goes as far as remembering what we ordered the last time we went. The sushi is great and they have a really big selection of it. We would highly recommend!!

So dissapointed. :( I did delivery and they gave me the wrong order and said they refunded the money but it doesn't show they did. Also the sashimi was cut in big chunks and was such poor quality. I ate 2 bites and tossed it. Just like throwing $25 in the trash and possibly getting sick from it

Delicious, for sure-- just very pricy. Maybe a little unnecessarily expensive. The food and atmosphere are good, but sometimes I feel like you're paying for the location instead of the food

Just went for the first time and we were very impressed! It is a nice atmosphere, they even had live music on a Thursday night which was a nice surprise. The service was wonderful! There was a woman at the table next to us being extremely rude to her server, all because the server couldn't understand what her friend was ordering. Instead of being patient, the table was yelling at the poor server and it just broke my heart. All they had to do was point to the item on the menu since the server was having trouble understanding. After witnessing that woman's horrible attitude, I wanted to make sure I came here to set the record straight that the service here is absolutely wonderful and we all need to practice some kindness and patience, especially when someone is very clearly in the process of learning English. The food was very yummy! I ordered from the hibachi menu. Onion soup was SO flavorful, but the salad was very small and watery. The fried rice and hibachi chicken were very tasty. Make sure to get some yum yum sauce and ginger sauce to go with your meal! Will definitely return to try the pad Thai, as the photos of it look delicious.

Always love the hibachi and Thai tea. Sushi is pretty good as well. They're typically my go-to.

I ordered food to-go last night and ordered a cosmo while I was waiting. The manager was so nice and gave me the drink on the house because they didn't have all the ingredients, but the drink he made was yummy! The guys at the sushi bar were awesome too. The food was good and the hospitality here is some of the best I've received in years. I will definitely be back to dine in.

Quiet atmosphere and good spring rolls I really loved the soup it has some kick to it which was really great the music was very relaxing

Ordering pick up from here is typically a great experience, we ordered delivery through yelp and I put no egg- egg allergy on my wife's food because she is highly allergic. We received our order only to find eggs all through it and it's a wasted meal now. If you're going to order here don't use the yelp ordering process.

Omg! Can't believe I waited so long to try this place! The sushi is absolutely phenomenal. The service was great as well as the atmosphere!

Ok.. We tried eating here again, since we seen the under new owner. Foods still good, but way smaller portions than before & I hoped we'd still get the large portions, since the prices hasn't changed. I didn't order the cheesecake, but I did ask if they still garnish with shredded cabbage & they dont But bck to the portions, if I'm gonna pay $60 for 2ppl, I want to hve more on my plate thtl last@least for leftovers for the nxt day. I mean panda Express is cheaper & gives larger portions than Tokyo fusion. And I wasn't tkng any chances of picking up our order this time, just incase they still arent informing masks has to be worn rule. We had it delivered by grub hub. But unfortunately, I wont be ordering frm them again, bcuz it's too pricey just to get such small portions. My hard earned $$ shld match how much we're given to eat...

Tokyo Asia Fusion is a "newer" Hibachi place in Abilene. Located just off Winter's Freeway near South 14th. We did lunch today. Atmosphere: VERY cleanly. I really like the setup. There are a bunch of Hibachi grills set up around the seating area which are each surrounded by chairs so u can have a front row seat to the action. Typical Asian inspired decor. Meticulously clean. Did I mention that? 1 Star Food: We opted to start off lunch with some spring rolls (5 in an order) and a tempura shrimp roll. Spring rolls were cooked to perfection and quite tasty. A little high priced for 5 very small pieces. The shrimp roll was great. Nice vinegary sauce to go with it. I ordered the Teriyaki beef with fried rice. It was good but nothing really special about it. Daughter ordered the Hibachi Chicken. Once again it was very simple and a bit plain. I wished there was a little extra to the fried rice. Nothing but egg, soy, and white rice. Still good however, even though it could be spruced up a bit. Otherwise the meal was good and worth a second try. 1.5 Stars Service: We were 1 of two tables after the lunch rush. The place was dead. It took a solid 5+ minutes before we were asked our drink orders. After that everything was just as speedy as could be. Waitress was on her toes and kept drinks refilled. The Hibachi Chef did a nice presentation. He was also very polite. 1.5 Stars. We will go back to try a little more of the sushi. 4 Stars ------------------------ My rating system: Up to 1 star for atmosphere (Let's face it, I could eat Franklin BBQ on a dirty napkin while sitting in the bed of my truck.) Up to 2 stars apiece for both food and service (these are the two things that will either drive me away or reel me back in) 1 Star-Wouldn't let my dog eat here 2 Star-Below average-usually something really struck me as being bad and I doubt I would ever return. 3 Star-Average-Might come back. Might not if there are better options. 4 Star-Above average-will definitely come back and try something new. Probably had great service as well. 5 Star-Phenomenal-Will definitely return for such an amazing experience.

Well, my wife and I got the Pad Thai, yakisoba, and fried dumplings. Seems like this place may be more of a grill or sushi place. The Good: The portions were huge and the food was edible. The Bad: the food was pretty bland, the soy sauce was awful, and the fried dumplings weren't very fried. Food In Abilene is not the best, so take my advice with a grain of salt. We won't be going back.

My UDON spot!!! Friendly, polite and helpful staff that have great chefs making a delicious beef udon that I will always come back for! I have not found a place in Abilene that makes udon like theirs - you can either have the soup or plate and I usually choose the plate and finish it! Most definitely the best udon in forever! Highly recommend them. Anything else...uh, sorry, udon is my thing... My brother and mother both like their food so that counts, right?! Love, love, love my udon but need to get some variety, eventually, soon, really I will...soon.
