SerpAPI
A quite small place but it’s amazing. The service is pretty quick, the food is great, and you get a really good serving size for your money. This is a perfect spot to run in, grab a quick order for dinner, and get home.

Great taste! Everything was tasteful. My family enjoyed this Japanese food. We bought chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken and Miso soup. They close at 8 pm and I came at 7:55 but they still selling me food! I loved the service, food and the place too!

Our son recommended this place to us so we decided today was the day to try it out. All the ramen soups we ordered for our party were delicious and hot! We'll see you next time!

SerpAPI
This is more of a 3.5 rating, this place has a lot of potential. The food was prepared very quickly which was very appreciated. I ordered the takoyaki and shoyu ramen. For the shoyu, the broth of the ramen was flavorful and seasoned well enough but the rest of the dish seemed lacking in it. The meat was bland but the rest of it was fine For the takoyaki, it was cooked well enough besides one that was too rubbery and inedible. The sauce and toppings were scarce but quite good. I'm sure I'll be back to try the rest of their menu but my first impression wasn't a great one.

SerpAPI
The fried rice and tempura here are my favorite dishes! Service is great and there’s always plenty left over to take home. My kids LOVE the rice as well so it’s never a problem getting them to eat. I couldn’t even take a picture before they started digging in...

SerpAPI
Simple menu done well. Love running in here grabbing my weekend lunch to take with me: teriyaki chicken with vegetables and some rice cannot go wrong. Followed by refreshing boba on a hot summer day. Folks are friendly and have helpful suggestions on menu items.

Ichiban curry 🍛 Best Japanese curry I’ve found in Las Vegas so far. I had the shrimp katsu curry in a 3 spice level. Let me tell you that 3 is plenty if you want a gentle kick. If you’re not into spicy foods that much then zero or 1 would be best. Beef udon noodle were bomb as well. Staff is friendly and is a great place for lunch. Not too crowded and the service is fast. Non-food related: one thing I loved about eating here was he Jpop radio station playing. Coming here was like a little slice of Japan complete with a grape Ramune drink. The decorations are just as it would be in Japan complete with an arcade game.

Cute lil ramen place. Everything is served in To-Go containers if you are eating there. Place to go if you need to get out quick or in a rush to eat.

Yelp
The Food was overall good. The miso ramen could use more flavor in the soup and include more toppings. The takoyaki was decent flavor but the octopus was over cooked. The service was great. I ordered expecting to come back up and get it and the girl was nice enough to bring my food to where i was sitting. The restaurant was overall very clean with good vibes.

Yelp
I am huge fan of Japanese cuisine, so it takes a lot for me to write a review on one, but these guys keep doing it right. The Tokoyaki is fantastic (and boiling hot like it should be)! After tasting several menu items including their scrumptious Udon and their katsu curry, I settled into a rhythm with the Tempura Cold Soba. It doesn't matter if it's summer or winter, it hits all the right notes and keeps me coming back.

Yelp
Tokyo Cafe is a good casual ramen and curry restaurant in North Las Vegas. This is a small restaurant with only a few tables inside and a high top counter. Soft beverages and boba are served here. Short story - The food is GOOD and portions are generous and prices are low. But it's GOOD but not the best. Longer story- I tried the chicken katsu curry. I thought it was nice that you can pick mild or spicy and I went with spicy. There was a lot that I liked about the plate. You get a double layer of chicken that was fresh made to order and was fried to perfection. They also gave me enough rice to feed a small family. The sauce was good but on the thick side. My husband tried the Tonkatsu Ramen and it was pretty good. He got jammy eggs in it (that aren't marinated) The noodles were prepared nicely but are like spaghetti noodles (not the chewy style that we are used to with ramen) He said that the pork in it was pretty good too. The person working there seemed nice and was efficient. Three stars is a positive review on Yelp and translates to A-OK 3.5 stars

Chris S.

Yelp
I have a pretty hard and fast rule that if I immediately throw out my leftovers from a restaurant, they weren't good. The flavors were weak & the sauce of the chow mein noodles was thin and watery. There was also a lot of it to the point where it was like we were eating low quality soup, which we already had an order of with this meal. The interior of the restaurant was kind of dingy and the service was not particularly accommodating. There was no particular thing that was outrageously bad but it was pretty gross and we'll never eat there again

Lizzy M.

Yelp
Yummm. We were craving some Japanese food and didn't feel like driving far from my auntie's house. This tiny place is kept clean. We were lucky to show up way before the rush and were able to grab a spot that fit all 4 of us. The food was delicious and it was cooked well. Don't expect a fancy sit down restaurant with fancy plates but if you need to satisfy the cravings, this will do. Our favorite was the fried udon. The plate was served enough for two. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The udon noodles were so soft without feeling mushy. The pork Katsu had the best curry sauce to accompany it. My son enjoyed his shoyu ramen and we like the gyoza and edamame as well. Just ordered water to drink except my honey buns ordered a taro boba. Can't tell you how that tasted because he wouldn't share :/

Chanté B.

Yelp
Small place you order food from cashier and they call your order out, there is seating inside. The food We ordered was the katsu chicken with rice and curry that was good. The chicken had the right crunch and the curry was put on the side it had a mild spice which I like because I wasn't wanting anything super spicy. Also ordered the udon curry was on the heavy side was thinking it would have been diluted down a little but it wasn't it was pretty thick paired with the katsu that was on top of the curry udon made it soggy. So let them know to place on the side if you want it crispy.

Yelp
So we have been coming to this place for years. We have only ever tried the chicken fried rice. That's because it's so good we can't imagine getting anything else when coming here!!! The service is always amazing and food is always done quick! You get so much fried rice for only $11.00 the one plate feeds our whole family 2 adults 3 kids we love this place so much and wish we lived closer we would probably order way more often if we did!!!

Yelp
Looking to get lunch,@ 2pm happen to pass by decided to try Tokyo Cafe on Craig Rd.There we're several diners eating, that was a good first impression.Quint restaurant with a corner location in a strip mall, ample parking lot. After reviewing their wall mounted menu, decided on the Curry Katsu with green salad , white rice & Curry in a separate container & Teriyaki Steak plate with white rice & green salad.Food was very tasty & portion on main entrees was very plentiful.Service by Dexiong was excellent as she served as cashier & waitress. Total was $ 25.99.excluding tip. Dislike that more eateries are adding the suggested gratuity when using a card for payment. Overall, a good dining experience!

AJ F.

Yelp
Wow first time here and so far everything is so good I got to get my favorites food and ramen food was delicious

Marlene P.

Yelp
We were looking for a bowl of ramen on the north side of Las Vegas. Didn't find a whole lot of options and ended up here. It's a bit of a whole in the wall. That appears to be popular with the N LAS locals. My granddaughter had the shoyu ramen with chashu, she loved the broth and the noodles had a nice chew. She wasnt to keen on the chashu in her view it was under done. My grandson had the tonkatsu ramen, it was very much to his liking he ate ever last slurp. I had the miso ramen, again loved the chew on the noodles. The broth didn't live up toy expectation I found it very one dimension. When it comes miso I love a earthy rich bodied broth instead I got a mouth full of saltiness. The kids said they would difintiely return I'll be back to try the curry dishes.

Stacie N.

Yelp
We probably should have turned around at the door, which was littered outside with trash. I am a fan of hole in the wall dining if the food is up to par, but this place was not. Not sure how this place has 4 stars.. leaving an extra star because the staff were nice, but my partner and I both left disappointed.

Samantha J.

Yelp
Awesome food, clean, and service was great! We will definitely be back. We always try to find ramen and this was the spot to go.

Amber R.

Yelp
I moved away a year ago, and when I was back in the area for training, my first free weekend I came here to eat curry and lemme tell you, it didn't disappoint. There is a reason why this was the first thing I ate when I had the time to come here and one of the last meals before I left again. Great business, great employees, I will always support them and eat here when I'm in town. Inside is a little small, but that doesn't matter, it's a nice little vibe regardless. 10/10

Edgardo A.

Yelp
Foods great to satiate my hunger. Service was good and the place was modestly clean when I ate there.

Ai M.

Yelp
Food is good. Curry is a bit salty but tempura was amazing. Mango boba smoothie is amazing. Taro and coconut is good too. It's pretty much self service, but the cashier and the chef is friendly. Not too found if the Delilah radio talk show blasting in the background; it would be better with maybe J pop music or instrumental traditional Japanese music. No poke-stop that can be reached.

Vanessa T.

Yelp
This place is tucked away a bit, off of Craig, next to Jimmy Johns. Parking is sparse, but during lunch time yesterday it wasn't too busy anyway. For a fair price, I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. The noodles weren't the best quality, but the spicy level was perfect. Honestly, between the pork, eggs and noodles, the quality was mediocre. But it still made for a pretty good lunch. Definitely not the best ramen in Vegas, but for the price, it makes a great quick bite. The bathrooms weren't very clean, but they did the job. I'd recommend this place for a decent/cheap lunch break. The atmosphere is extremely casual, so maybe not a date-night type. Still give it a try!

Laura N.

Yelp
This hole in the wall is tucked behind a cell phone shop at the back of a strip mall - so I knew the food had to be good and it was !!! The menu has been updated and changed a lot and the entire place has the feel of the place the locals go. The cashier was friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my tempura and ramen order to go. The ramen was packaged perfectly and by the time I drove home and had a chance to dig in it was all delicious. I'm docking one star for the lack of quality - the pork in the ramen was stringy and a bit tough (even though delicious) and the shrimp likewise tasted like it had been frozen at one point. For the location and price I'd definitely still recommend people give this place a try I know I'll definitely pop back in when I'm back in town.

Destiny P.

Yelp
The chicken katsu was amazing & they give you a large portion for $11. My bf also got the Miso Ramen and it was delicious!! Highly recommend this place for a quick ramen fix, the cashier was also very friendly & helpful.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Kind of a hole in the wall, but the chicken fried rice is legit! I haven't enjoyed something that much in a long time! Huge order, so I finished it for my breakfast :)

Angel Q.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have always been curious of this little place for years now, but we barely it a few days ago. He ordered a plate and I ordered a bowl of ramen. No complaints on the flavor. The portion sizes are perfect to me. I couldn't even finish it, so I packed it to-go. I believe my boyfriend got the chicken plate, and he really enjoyed it. Inside was decent and so was the service. It's not like the staff was sooo enthusiastic or whatever. They're just there to do their jobs and take peoples' orders, so I have no complaints really. Lol The decorations inside were pretty nice too. Im pretty confident that the rest of the good items taste good too.

Carl V.

Yelp
I was stationed in Okinawa, and the go-to place for Japanese curry is Coco's. I've missed them since I've left, but not any more. Tokyo cafe is a little hole-in-the-wall place in Northtown, but it's as good as any fancy restaurant in Chinatown. Don't expect ambience, just expect good, solid Japanese food at great prices.

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Such a good authentic Japanese food restaurant. Highly recommend, it's super small inside but has a few tables to accommodate some seating. Take out is quick and always accurate. Food is consistent and delish. Chicken teriyaki bowl is a family favorite for the kids, comes with white rice. Vegetable tempura is always fresh and flaky and comes with a dipping sauce.

Leigha V.

Yelp
I really like the chicken katsu curry. The server is really nice and so is the chefs. The vibes are nice and chill, food came out in a timely manner.

Tanner B.

Yelp
I love this place. Been coming here for years. PLEASE bring back the real bowls and soup spoons. It SUCKS to eat ramen with a crappy plastic spoon. I get that this change happened during covid, but it is well past time to change back to real bowls and spoons. I know that everything has gotten more expensive, but it simply costs too much considering you guys are still using crappy takeout containers and disposable spoons. Bring them back, and I will be happy to come back and tip well.

Debi C.

Yelp
The soup lacked substance, no veggies, 1 slice of bacon ,and over cooked stuck together noodles

Laurie H.

Yelp
I don't know if it was me or the person taking my order but somehow I ended up with straight coconut milk with Boba in it. Which is cool and refreshing but not the coconut milk tea that I thought I ordered. In their own defense, sometimes my voice cuts out lately due to a medical problem I don't know if that's what happened here. The coconut milk is cold and good and the Boba is nice and chewy and the smells coming out of this place are amazing. I'll definitely have to come back in and try the curry. But I will either have to speak a lot louder and make sure I get understood properly. It's a rather small place, but there seem to be enough seating for everybody's it's there it's in a strange parking area and not in a place with a lot of other food, so I hope they can do OK and stay open. Seems like lately all the good places close up or move. I'll definitely update this once I try it again maybe I'll write down my order. This is what my life is coming to ordering with pencils and papers. Lol sucks to be me, but not while I'm drinking milk, tea, and Boba. Certainly not with milk, tea and Boba.

Letty A.

Yelp
Must get the shrimp tempura best in town!!! Amazing customer service!!! Watermelon boba

Danielle S.

Yelp
Service is always amazing here as well as the food. I've tried just about everything on the menu and it's always been great. The price is affordable and we'll keep coming as long as we can.

Meghan J.

Yelp
I love Tokyo cafe! Great service. Great food, and excellent service!! They have great tempura veggies and shrimp!

Arnab K.

Yelp
The place has a quick-service and low prices that make it affordable. The interiors are not the best but again the food price is low. All said, one can definitely grab a quick lunch here.

Monique W.

Yelp
Wow!!! I'm so glad I had stumbled upon Tokyo Cafe. I had originally wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, but there was a three hour wait. Instead, through a Yelp search, I had noticed Tokyo Cafe and decided to stop by. Tokyo Cafe is a restaurant that specializes in ramen and curry. It's a relatively small restaurant with a few table seating and booth seating available. The menu is listed at where you place the order, at the register. After reviewing the menu, we had ordered a few different items. -Pork Katsu -Shoyu Ramen (with chicken) -Vegetable Tempura -Gyoza Fried We ordered way too much food! The portion size is extremely large! The Vegetable Tempura and the Gyoza came out first. The portion size was quite generous. The Tempura was perfectly fried, as well as the Gyoza. The Gyoza was scrumptious! There wasn't too much batter on the vegetables. We couldn't finish it all and ended up bringing the Pork Katsu home for leftovers. The Shoyu Ramen was delicious! One of the best ramen bowls I've had in Las Vegas! The ramen bowl was filled, plentiful with ingredients. The broth was flavorful. The price was pretty cheap for all of the food, approximately $35.00 for the order. Next time, I plan on trying the Chicken Katsu. It looked like there were several cups worth of rice with the Pork Katsu. The Pork Katsu lasted for several meals and the curry was amazing! It warmed up perfectly in the oven over low heat. This restaurant is a gem! The food is delicious. The team members were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also spotless! When customers left, the tables were immediately cleaned.

Aniya W.

Yelp
Very good food! Highly recommend . I got the chicken fried rice , and combination fried rice .

Morte S.

Yelp
This place has always been great and prices reasonable. I love the miso ramen, and their takoyaki and the staff is always so nice. I always recommend them to my friends, I love coming here for Ramen since it's not as far as some other places!

Donna N.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I arrived at this place and had good impressions of the area. It took a while for the cashier to take our order (having to handle a customer through a phone, which is, of course, is understandable). When it came to us, we ordered, but we never clarification questions. What I mean by that is if "would you like that drink to be slushy or not." Thus n a disappointing meal. My boyfriend ordered a mango with boba, but we did not know that there were two kinds of drinks for their boba menu. And the boba was too warm to be served with the mango. He also ordered a teriyaki chicken meal charred to the point it had a nasty burnt taste to the chicken. (Which does not clearly show in the images because it was not close up). When he asked to get a refund, I overheard the owner yelling, "it's supposed to be charred!" It was astounding to hear this individual's lack of customer service skills as he was the owner (short Asian male individual, which I suspect he was the owner). My boyfriend could not hear as he had been diagnosed with tinnitus, so I walked over to see if everything was okay, but thankfully he got his refund. However, the issue did not stop there. I am a huge food person, and I know the kinds of food I eat The food I had was tonkotsu ramen and chicken Katsu curry with an oolong tea totaling $23. But the food was not as spectacular as it sounded. The tonkotsu ramen's broth was strangely on the salty side. Even the egg was cooked hard-boiled when it's supposed to be soft boiled. The only good thing about the ramen was the chashu, which has flavor to it. The curry, though, was sad as well. Lack of flavor in it, and I am familiar with the brand they used for the curry since I used to cook with it myself. Overall, the service wasn't bad until we had an issue with the food. I suggest if anybody wants anything ramen or curry, this is the last place to think about for "authentic" Japanese food.

Dorothy W.

Yelp
What a cute little place! I've been here twice now. It looks a bit sketch on the outside but the inside is much more spacious than it first appears, clean and plenty of seating. Parking is a nightmare if you come during lunch and dinner rush. Service is good. You place your order at the counter, they give you a number and then bring it to you. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is mixed. Their fried rice is pretty good and the veggie tempura is DIVINE. Miso soup was a disappointment, not a fan. The curry was so salty it could've pickled my tongue and the katsu was bland. I'll definitely come back for the vibe (it's a nice little hole in the wall that's a refreshing break from corporate chains) and the veggie tempura. Glad I found this spot.

Pearl C.

Yelp
This place is terrible. Idk how they are in business tbh. All there food is bland and overpriced for the serving of food you get. I tried 3 dishes from them. The 1st time I went I had their chicken katsu, the food was not fresh at all. The chicken smelled weird and it was soggy. 2nd visit I tried the chicken curry. I hated it. The way the curry tasted was horrible and I had several trips to the restroom after eating it. 3rd time was the charm. My last and final visit. The chicken fried rice. The rice was not fried at all it was just white rice with little bits of undercooked peas and carrots and bits of egg pieces. The chicken had no flavor. I asked for teriyaki or yum yum sauce and they didn't have it. So I'm suppose to eat plain dry rice? I have attached a pic below. The only reason I tried this place was because I would stop after I got my brows done.

Cameron R.

Yelp
Not a lot of options in Ramen in North Vegas. This has to be the best spot in the area while being owned and operated as a small business!

Bin L.

Yelp
Food as good as it used to be. big portion and super tasty ! Love their ramen and katsu Miso Ramen

Marco H.

Yelp
The Pork & Chicken Katsu are delicious and remind me of Japan. I highly recommend the extra spicy curry sauce.

Nette B.

Yelp
Pretty good Ramen in North Las Vegas. This is a small restaurant (no alcohol) located on Craig St. Had the Tonkotsu Ramen with black garlic oil and Chicken Katsu Curry. The Ramen was pretty good and the pork was also tender. Good fatty and tasteful broth. The curry was also delicious. I liked that they served the curry on the side. Service was ok and the restaurant is also clean. Will return if I'm craving Ramen.

Paul V.

Yelp
First: food was great! However: 1) mask required to enter... no masks given out so you are out of luck if you ordered and have no mask (they didn't kick me out, just gave evil judging stares) 2)Teriyaki Steak bowl is not a steak bowl. It's teriyaki steak on rice with 6-9 pieces of lettuce on the side. Taste was amazing, steak portion was small. Rice for days. 3) Tempura Veggies were good, but would request extra sauce, the sauce only makes it for about 2/3 of the veggies (tons of veggies) 4)the $2.75 iced green tea is a $0.50 can. Will definitely eat there again (and will remember to bring a mask)

Rosendo G.

Yelp
Best Ramin shop to go to on the north side of town, good price and portions always fresh

Lani T.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chicken Katsu curry dinner tasted. The quality and portion size was enough for two.

Jocelyn C.

Yelp
Shoyu ramen spicy was just right. Fried gyoza was tasty. Beef teriyaki was delish. Tempura udon was so good. My family and I enjoyed. Will definitely go back.

Rachel R.

Yelp
I was very underwhelmed. I will state their Thai tea was very good! I liked it a lot. The service was nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. They wouldn't let us sit and eat the last twenty minutes they were open(the food was fully ready before 20 min). I had no intent of taking my time, I understand it was getting late and they want to leave but there was tons of time to eat quickly. Restaurant was a little run down, and only had two tables available for dine in seating I have never had Japanese Curry, so I'm not sure what it was suppose to taste like but I thought it was nice. I did like that their chicken catsu wasn't overly fried and greasy like a lot of places. I feel that plate was a lot better than the one I got. I got the miso ramen. Noodles were kind of extra squishy, the soup just tasted like hot soy. It didn't have a nice flavor or umami flavor. It tasted like filler. Their chicken was dry and didn't have much flavor. I didn't eat much of the soup. I gave it the three starts cause the Japanese catsu chicken curry was a nice dish as well as the Thai tea

AJ A.

Yelp
Very blan ramen, the chicken had no flavor. Broth was blan as well. Dirty tables, good customer service but the ramen was awful. I threw it away and went next door and grabbed a Jimmy John's sandwich

Tabitha M.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting in years and since my daughter was hungry after school we decided to try it again. I ordered the shrimp katsu curry and she had the teriyaki chicken. My daughter is a very picky eater and she really enjoyed her food. Mine on the other hand was not so great. The curry which came on the side was not the slightest bit of warm and lacked flavor, the rice was more of a sushi rice type and kind of mushy. The shrimp was not fresh and too heavily breaded with no taste. I returned the curry and a hot one was brought out to me. I paid extra to add cheese and an egg, the cheese was a few sprinkles of cheddar and the egg was nothing spectacular. The side salad it came with was better than the entire meal. I hate wasting food and I had to throw out more than half of my meal. I left very disappointed and will not return. This place needs a serious deep cleaning and remodel. All of the high tough areas especially the doors are filthy. It's sad to see the past one star reviews are still consistent til this day. I'm only giving 2 stars because my daughter was happy and the cashier was nice. Surprised to see this establishment still open after years of no improvement, hopefully the owner will consider the low reviews and make changes. It'd be nice to have a great Japanese restaurant in the area as there is no other current competition.

Alexa M.

Yelp
I was out and about running errands and had not yet eaten, and decided to call in to Tokyo Cafe for some veggie fried rice and blended milk tea boba to go. Gentlemen over the phone was friendly, said it would be ready in about 15 min. Veggie fried rice 9/10 They have a solid fried rice here, no skimping on the servings either! The to go box is literally packed to the brim with it. You can opt to get it with or without egg, and it comes with green onions, cabbage, peas, carrots, and cucumbers. It usually comes with broccoli, this evening there wasn't any. Still delicious and made fresh to order. Milk tea boba slush 10/10 I love boba drinks, and I have not really had too many milk teas except for the one here. I like it a lot. You can get it iced or blended. The milk tea has light flavor, just the right amount of sweetness I was craving. Also a nice helping of boba, I find some places either put too much or not enough. There was an even boba to milk tea ratio in each delicious sip. Had me scooping the bottom to leave no boba behind, and finish it to the last drop! That's when you know it's a good one :) The location is in the shopping center next to the Cannery on Craig, same shopping center as Starbucks and del taco. Been here a few times and always enjoy what we order. Will be back soon to satisfy my fried rice and milk tea cravings!

Kyrah S.

Yelp
Love their pork cutlet it's katsu with curry makes me happy and I love their to die for tar boba

Robbie G.

Yelp
Very standard Japanese curry and Japanese ramen. Curry is your usual Golden Curry with kinda wet rice. Ramen is nicer than Niccin but not freshly cut or made noodles. Cuts of pork are a bit on the cheaper side and kinda fatty, and the broth is okay but nothing amazing. It's an upgrade from the Costco freezer aisle ramen, but it's not exceptional. Solid choice for people with kids or unfussy types, but I personally would like to find a place that makes ramen with higher quality ingredients. I'll probably visit again, mostly because there aren't a lot of good ramen options in North Las Vegas and it's fine. (To be honest, most ramen places in Vegas do very similar things and I didn't realize what I was missing until I went to a ramen shop in Japantown San Francisco.) You won't get food poisoning and the pricing is decent.
