How to Eat Your Way Through Portland’s Pine Street Market | Eater Portland

"One taste at Marukin Ramen makes clear why the Tokyo chain’s Ankeny location is so popular: the noodles are handmade on site, broths include rich bone or soymilk options, and the daily tonkotsu red—deeply spicy and fatty—is only improved with fried leeks, chashu pork, and the house-made chili blend. The ramen reliably draws long lunch lines, so in a group I might send someone to wait while others order elsewhere; don’t miss the gyoza pork dumplings, traditional Japanese pickles, or the extensive selection of Japanese whiskeys, sakes, and beers." - Tamara Belgard

Just what the doctor ordered. Mushroom soup, gyzoya, sushi. All fresh and delish. The sushi had peanuts and avocado, interesting combo I had never seen and it was really good. My server was attentive and kind. Gave suggestions and answered questions. Prompt. Interior clean and cool looking. Absolutely loved the design on the leather booth seats. Not overly huge- maybe seating for 60? Easy access from I35 in Ankeny. Cost was $20, I had a pop, too.

I just left there.. if I could give a zero star review I 100% would. The rice wasn’t fresh, it was clumpy and stuck together, it had zero flavor. The shrimp were well overcooked and hard to bite/cut through. The chicken was also flavorless and had a rubber like texture. When I told the owner he refused to take the food back and refused to take it off or give a discount. Since I paid full price I took the food with me and threw it away. The owner and the waiter we had were both very disrespectful, the owner said “no it’s your food you have to take it”. Kept repeating disrespectful remarks and one seemed very colorist. I wouldn’t feed this to an animal honestly. I should’ve known when the place was empty not to give it a try. Very terrible first experience.

Went for dinner on a weeknight. We didn't need a res. We were seated quickly. The server was friendly. The menu has a lit of choices with pictures. We ordered crab rangoon, several rolls, and chicken/scallop fried rice. The crab rangoon were ok. The filling was average and scant. The rolls were delicious, but all tasted the same. The fried rice was great. The scallops were surprisingly well-prepared. The chicken was bland and a little dry. The special sauce they offer helped with the chicken. I would return to try other stuff.

Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I liked her a lot. We got the Tokyo Supreme (chicken, filet mignon, shrimp, scallops, lobster, vegetables, fried rice, noodles, soup, & salad) for 2 and it was a lot of food for $58. I thought the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and it was the best part of the combo. The rest of the items were seasoned very lightly, I would’ve liked a little bit more flavor.

Tonight we ordered to-go but usually eat in the restaurant. When we got home we took our food out of the bag and to our suprise, the Little Tokyo roll we ordered was 1/3 of the size it typically is in restaurant. I got a sushi roll and salad as a meal expecting it's normal size only to be disappointed by a snack sized roll. Definitely won't be going back for sushi anytime soon. Which is sad because typically it's great.

I've been here twice and had the same consistency both times. Last time I had just sushi, this time I had their bento for lunch. They just opened at 12 and I was seated with food in under 10 minutes. The salad was good, but the miso soup was not. Working in restaurants myself I know that sometimes opening doesn't go well and I didn't hold it against them. The rice was perfect, terriaki was as well. The vegetables were fresh and cooked on the grill with good flavor. Bento comes with sushi and deep fried veggies that were also perfectly cooked. The addition of pineapple paired perfectly with the fried shrimp. In my opinion this restaurant is the perfect spot for lunch as it's not so crowded around that time. They also have hibachi and friendly staff. I love Korean food and their menu is extensive. I'd love to stop by regularly.

Google
I have been their customer for years, because of their good sushi. Today is my last time going to this restaurant due to poor and very rude customer service as well as dishonesty in their food preparation. I ordered "East roll" that says it has "Shrimp, avocado, tomato and mango" when I opened the box there is no tomato! (Attached photo). Another thing was in another sushi that I asked to replace cream cheese with avocado. I was aware I will be charged extra if I "add" something but not "replaced"! The extra charge was over $1, which I don't care about. The matter that they don't deduct the cost of removing tomato from my order and add cost to the order that I am "replacing" item not "adding" doesn't make sense. The response of the mid 20s lady in front desk to the cost addition was management decided to do it and "this is what it is". They didn't even bother calling me and ask about cost addition and item removal from my order. Yes your food is good but when customer service acts like "this is what it is" then I am not going to do business with you anymore!

Ordered hibachi fliet and chicken, Very Good, perfectly cooked. Waitress was polite and attentive. Will be back again

Yelp
Had a great later evening dinner with a friend here at Tokyo Steakhouse last week... I'd never been, but my friend had eaten here a few times before with her sons... From what I can tell it's similar to Ohana's, but more like Taki... Tokyo Steakhouse offers a tableside menu without having to sit around the grill. Definitely the way to go for more of a quiet dinner. We were greeted and seated right away when we walked in. The booth was comfortable. Our server Danish stopped by within a minute or two and introduced himself. He took our drink order and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. My companion ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi dinner that came with soup and a salad. I ordered the firecracker roll and shrimp tempura roll off the sushi menu. I really enjoyed both rolls and was able to try a little of the steak and shrimp hibachi plate. It was really good too. Make sure you order a side of the yum yum sauce for the fried rice! Danish did a great job throughout our visit. He was polite and personable and our drinks never hit empty. The food was all on point! A great first experience at Tokyo Steakhouse!

Yelp
My first time here. I called ahead earlier in the week and put in a reservation for 4 for the hibachi. We arrived on time and waited a little bit for the rest of our party. I got a little nervous as they had us wait for the rest of our party and group after group came in and went back to hibachi tables. The restaurant dining wasn't packed for this time of the day and week. My friend is the one who said they had been here before and never had a problem and enjoyed it. When they arrived, the host took us right back and seated us, no problem. The hibachi part in the back was bigger than it appears. There are three big cooking areas and get ready for a show! H - Hot grills at right at your table. Food show and flipped into your mouth! I - I got to take a shot of sake from a squeeze bottle. B - Bet you don't leave hungry -the serving sizes are huge. A - Affordable for the entire family. C - Children welcome and entertained at the grill. Lots of laughter. H - Had the scallops and chicken but I could have eaten a tons of the scallops. I - I will be back, this is a fun date night spot.

Yelp
Lunch prices are so affordable! 3 sushi rolls $14. Everything was fresh and really fast for our lunch hour.

Yelp
Fun show comes with your food at hibachi. Staff work hard to keep you satisfied and all and all great place for a birthday and great spot for any night. We left with some yummy leftovers which is always awesome. Make sure you tip your griller

Yelp
I don't have any pictures, but I've been coming here for years. It's changed quite a bit unfortunately... Food and drinks are good, a little overpriced, but it's worth it. The place is clean, smells great, and has music on for diners in the front. In the back, where you do hibachi, there is music too, but hard to hear while you, or tables near you have their food made I recommend making a reservation for large groups, they won't seat you till the entire group is there, so beware of that. If you do hibachi, you may be seating with other people, so if that's not your style you can get it to go or order from the front of house and sit in the regular dining area. As far as service goes, they used to be really attentive, nice and quick to help. Now it seems like they're short with you, don't even make eye contact half the time, forget drink orders and get annoyed if you don't finish the soup and/or ginger salad they give you with hibachi. Which is awkward... but, I love the hibachi options and drinks so I'll keep coming back... till I find something better.

Yelp
Love this place!! The staff is always so warm and welcoming! Service is always very prompt. I love the sashimi and sushi combo, and we almost always get the calamari for an appetizer. Sometimes we opt for the Love Boat because it's loaded with all best sashimi and sushi! The restaurant is always very clean, and the staff are all so friendly! This is my go-to sushi place. My son loves the hibachi, and enjoys the show you get when sitting on the hibachi side. I personally prefer a booth on the main restaurant floor, but it's nice to be able to choose.

Yelp
Had snow crab salad, Iowa roll, seafood fantasy roll and Gangnam roll. That is the order in which we liked the roles. I don't like the spicy tuna at all. Otherwise, it was all good but not amazing.

Jody S.

Yelp
Wonderful wonderful!!!!! Our waitress was great and the food was outstanding! I had the steak and shrimp and had my leftovers for lunch the next day and it was all just as good! We will be back!

Yelp
Seems that they are cutting corners on everything. Hot tea is microwaved diluted a good few times water. Service is Marginal. We were hoping to have our anniversary dinner there.... I'm extremely disappointed... hibachi meats are tough and tasteless ..

Yelp
It has been over four years since I last ate at Tokyo Steakhouse with my favorite dining companion. We had a great experience then, so we had high expectations for our return visit. We came in mid afternoon, around 2pm. The restaurant was fairly empty, but that's to be expected at such odd dining hours. We were hungry now and in Ankeny, and Tokyo Steakhouse is quite literally on the way back to I-35, so it was a logical stop for us. We were seated quickly by our server Aaron. He confessed that it was only his third day on the job, but he was giving it his absolute best. No worries, Aaron. We are all newbies at one time. We got some glasses of water and began to peruse the menu. We noticed the Sky Roll on the Specials board. It immediately looked like a winner. Our other choice was the Sashimi Deluxe. 18 pcs of Sashimi for $27 is a very solid deal in this economy. My favorite dining companion also opted for a Peachtini, as she does love Martinis. Our food took a little longer than expected to arrive, but I can forgive slightly slow ticket times, for exceptional food. That was absolutely the case here. The presentation was very nice, and the cuts of fish were beautiful. We especially appreciated Toro Ahi instead of your run-of-the-mill Ahi. Also present were Yellowtail, Salmon, braised baby Yellowtail, and Escolar. All of the Sashimi was excellent. The Sky Roll was so good that I wish I had ordered two of them. Such a satisfying combination of so many flavors. Well done, gentlemen. We gave our compliments to the sushi chefs.. Aaron was a great server. He provided excellent service, and was very polite. He even very carefully boxed up the leftovers for my favorite dining companion to eat later. So after four and a half years, Tokyo Steakhouse is still extremely good. We will be back again for sure, but a lot sooner than four and a half years from now.

Yelp
the waitress won't even say hi to us. horrible. Maybe shes having a bad night. The chef was great! Maybe be cause its Monday.

Yelp
I want to start this review by stating that the food was pretty good. Besides a few pieces of chicken and vegetables that were charred, the hibachi was decent. That is about the extent of the positives. The restaurant is not very clean. The floor is sticky, the walls and ceilings soiled, and in general, it needs some work. The hostess staff tried to be pleasant, but was somewhat rude and thought it appropriate to speak down to our party. Not a good look. All of that said, the place was pretty busy. With the availability of Japanese cuisine in the area, I find this surprising. If you are simply looking for decent hibachi, this may be the place. Looking for an experience, maybe not...

Yelp
This is now our go-to restaurant when we want to impress our guests! The food is always phenomenal and the environment both fun yet casual-elegant. The service is of the highest quality and the server always puts on a high energy show - we love them! The amount of food and the quality of food keeps us coming back for more!

Mikhael H.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Hibachi is consistently of great quality, and that is considering I have eaten there for over a decade!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience here! I loved their sushi?? This is my first time not going for their usual hibachi grill options which I cannot commend enough! The lady taking my order on the phone was a delight, my order was ready in 10 minutes & again, the service has always been incredible - whether take out or sitting in. Love the environment & will continue to go back for both special occasions & trying more of their rolls!! Lovely!

Yelp
The Food was great and such fast service. Quiet atmosphere where we could talk and enjoy ourselves.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, bland and tasted old. Server Samantha said a swear word at me and my family to " just effing take it with you" and slammed a box on our table, I told her to get her manager and no one ever came to our table so we left. Terrible experience and I will be telling everyone and every platform about this.

Yelp
Food was great, fried rice was my favorite. The place is very clean and not too loud. Service was very quick and friendly.
google avatar

Adel N.

Yelp
Food tasted awesome but portions were horrible. The price was still hefty. Never have I ever seen a hibachi chef count the pieces of meat before serving you.

Yelp
My husband and I decided we REALLY were craving Ohana...unfortunately since they are extremely difficult to get into lately we had to settle with Tokyo Steakhouse in Ankeny. We got there and immediately the hostess seemed extremely hostile. She was harassing the group in front of me because they now only had 7 people instead of 10 that their reservation was for. She refused to seat them until their entire party was there and honestly wouldn't even give them the opportunity to explain that it is now only 7 people and not 10. She finally seated them and I stood at the hostess stand being ignored for a good while. She finally got to me and I informed her we had 3. Very angrily she ran to the back room to check and said "I can seat now." PERFECT! I called my husband who was waiting in the car with our toddler to come on it. He got in and we waited another good while before she even acknowledged that we were there. She took us back to where she was seating us and it was apparently this little scrunched up spot not even close to the grill (borderline infront of the other grill) at this point I was questioning if it was even worth it and the hostess said "sit down or leave" uhm.... excuse me? So of course when we asked for a high chair to put our toddler in she sighed and LITERALLY shoved the chair in our direction and ran off. Good lord. Whoever she is....she needs a lesson in customer service. Anyway, food was ok...definitely not Ohana level but it satisfied our craving. We were sat with the group that was harassed by her before me so we got to have a good "discussion" about her attitude.. Waitress seem overwhelmed but overall was great and the cook clearly had skills but I could tell that he was most likely being told from management to get in and out and not take the time to interact much. Tbh.. we probably won't go back due to the rude behavior of the hostess and the fact that is just wasn't at Ohana level for flavor of food (they don't offer the chili garlic and chili oil and my Lao hubby needs that flavor ). She needs to check her attitude at the door.

Yelp
After reading through some reviews and seeing that most of the low reviews were service related and not food related we decided to try Tokyo Steakhouse out and I thought it was good! We had Shumai, a bento box and a sushi sampler. The Shumai was great, and the sushi was good; seemed to be good quality. I believe this is a great suburban option for sushi, it's not the best I've ever had but by far not the worse. We also had very good service. They were quick and thorough, but not pushy.
google avatar

Sasha K.

Yelp
Went with the family here for a birthday party! Overall experience was underwhelming as we were extremely rushed and felt like we were in line of the "soup nazi" episode of Seinfeld. Server was extremely impatient and everyone even the kids noticed how rushed we were. The actual food and hibachi experience was decent, although our chef did not do a lot of entertaining as we are used to with this type of experience. The fried rice and the different meats including shrimp, steak, scallops, and chicken was done well. Will not likely return here due to the service but maybe it was just an off night for them as they were busy.
google avatar

Yuanzhou L.

Yelp
Tokyo Steakhouse will open on 4/23/2020 Thursday! For carry-out only Mon-Friday 3:30-8:30 pm Sat-Sunday 12:00-8:30pm
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
The servers and hostesses were rude and rolled their eyes when one of us asked for a food suggestion. The food was fine for the most part, but the rice was undercooked. I guess we were just looking for more of an experience paired with good food. I don't like leaving negative reviews so maybe we will return in the future to see if it was just a fluke!
google avatar

Kat B.

Yelp
My husband and I needed to have dinner and kill time while our house was being shown. We chose to try this place out for dinner. I had the beef yakisoba and a sweet potato roll while he had the spicy maki combo. I loved the sweet potato roll! I would have loved my noodles more had I remembered to order them with no veggies. My biggest complaint about this is there are always SO many veggies and barely any meat and noodles. My dish had an excessive amount of onion as well. My husband seemed to enjoy his dinner and he ate all of his salad and soup. I thought the food to price ratio was very good! I would definitely return or recommend to others!
google avatar

Yazmin S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the hibachi show here and the food was delicious. Fun atmosphere and friendly service. The rice was delicious as was all of the hibachi meats. The hibachi chef squirted sake into everyone's mouths, gave everyone extra food, and was very fun and accommodating. I will definitely be back. Only complaint is that it could have lasted longer. The appletini was sour and delicious too.
google avatar

Stacia E.

Yelp
First off you don't get what you pay for. I ordered the hibachi chicken dinner and received a plate with 2 shrimp, a spoonful of rice that I couldn't tell if it was authentic fried rice and veggies that obviously came from a frozen pre-mix bag that they added onion to. The chicken was about 85% cooked all the way through but the fact that I only received 2 pieces of shrimp was the what made me upset the most. The kicker was when I saw my bill and they added 2 more dollars to the price of everything than what the menu said and my waitress said that it said it on the menu....‍
google avatar

Ruby Q.

Yelp
Meh. We went for Tampenyaki , you know the hot flatiron grill where a funny chef charms the table and cooks dinner for you. Well, our dude wasn't funny. He barely spoke. The food came out so fast that I never even touched my soup. Bang bang. We were in and out in 45 minutes for dinner. I personally think Ohana does this better.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Went here before prom in 2022. The chef threw zucchini at me like 4 times but that's because I can't catch zucchini in my mouth I guess. My bad. Food was good, but my friend got food poisoning and so we sat in the school cafeteria during after prom because she felt like she was going to throw up for the entire night.
google avatar

Yelp
Great welcoming from the staff. Good food and meal presentation. Great services. Definitely recommended..
google avatar

Yelp
Always a solid place. Sushi was good as always...love every seaweed salad I eat. Tempura veggies and udon noodle bowl good as well. Little bit of slow service but other than that another good visit!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a tough critic when it comes to Sushi. Stopped in with a friend today for 3 spicy tuna rolls Crab,Tuna,Salmon They were ok; if you are going to make sushi make the very very best. Could have been colder and wrapped tighter The soy sauce was super fresh I consider it average, but good
google avatar

Cole R.

Yelp
The hibachi experience may be a pretty penny, but these guys deliver the full experience plus amazing food. During COVID, they do have some restrictions, such as keeping your mask on when you're away from your seat and having your party seated one chair away from other parties in either direction when possible. I'm coming back tonight! Second time this month!
google avatar

Patrick T.

Yelp
Who would think you could great great Sushi in Iowa.. But actually Des Moines and the surrounding cities have some really great spots! Tokyo Steakhouse, fits the mold. Great daily lunch specials, you can get 3 rolls and a salad for under 12 bucks! That rules! The veggie rolls were fresh and the avocado tasted really great! Cheap domestic beers. The staff was attentive with filling up waters and the bathroom were clean! I dug the layout and look of the spot including cool mural on window! All in all not the best in the area, but what a great spot for an affordable lunch right off the interstate!

Yelp
I took a work colleague from out of town here for lunch this past weekend. We were in a rush and let our server know right away. She was fast and friendly with all of our order and we definitely appreciated it. We ordered the gyoza appetizer. Omg was it good!! I would come back just for this dish alone. We also got a California Roll, Mango Lover Roll and the New England Roll. I stuck with the New England Roll and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm always looking for rolls with no fried or tempura components and so I appreciated this option. The fish was chilled and fresh. The spicy tuna was the right amount of spicy and not overly wet (you know how some places put too much mayo?) and it tastes great. My lunch companion also really enjoyed her lunch. I will be recommending this restaurant to people in the Ankeny area and can't wait to go back myself.

Megan G.

Yelp
The food is the best and the chicken is the bomb and the customer service is amazing they got my food out quick and tasted amazing would go back and recommend

Yelp
Last time I came in here with a friend and it was fun! The food was VERY good. Clean. Family friendly. Friendly staff. Prices are a bit up there, but average for hibachi grill around the area(like Ohana). Lot parking. Decor is nice here. Marcy'sDinerTantrumScale 5/5- NoScreamingKids.

Yelp
This is the second time we are here. I wanted to talk to the manager but seems like it's useless. The only thing they are doing is to give people food as fast as possible to get you out and have the next batch sit around hibachi. We have been to many Japanese steak houses and we have never seen the restaurant cut the scallops in half!!! To make it look more!!!! This is rip off and I will report this to small business administration. They don't give you more, they give you half sliced, overcooked, thin, awful scallop pieces and charge you for the whole serving. My shrimp was half the amount it was last time!!!! Because it's Friday they rip people off very seriously. The food is substandard at best. The sushi was awful. The soup is watery taste and everything is over priced. Very very disappointed. I will contact the manager to make sure they know what is going on, but my fear is that the manager has the same attitude.

Paula L.

Yelp
The food is GREAT, the service excellent and we got our food very quickly. It was fairly busy yet quiet enough that we could visit easily. The vegetables and chicken were expertly cooked! Can't say enough nice things about this place!

Sumita B.

Yelp
This is my second time here. 1st time sat in the regular dining room. This time we sat on the hibachi side. I think this place is smaller compared to other hibachi places. The server we had was very loud and rude. Not sure if she realized how she was talking, but she just seemed to very stressed and angry during entire meal. Sushi is mediocre here. My hand rolls I ordered were very sloppily put together and had rice sticking on the outside of the cone and very few ingredients inside. I ordered the philly and salmon skin roll. Very little filling. Would not order again. Tonkatsu with rice - fried okay, but very oily. Pork was overcooked. Chicken hibachi - onion soup that comes with it is very bland. Like warm water and fried onion pieces with a few mushroom slices. Ginger salad - only greens no other vegetables. Fried rice, vegs, and chicken were decent. Make sure to check your bill too. They do add gratuity to larger parties. They also overcharged our party for extra hibachi meals even though we did not order. We brought this to their attention and she said we did not pay for the other parties meal. We showed her receipt that we had been charged the meal and plus we paid for it. She ended up removing the charge. Overall waitress was rude and yelled. Or maybe that is how she talks to people. Either way not very inviting. I think there are better choices for hibachi and sushi.

Shannon M.

Yelp
We had the rocket, dragon, amazing maki and seafood fantasy rolls. All we're delish. Probably the best dragon roll I've ever had. We also had calamari. Yummmm! The restaurant was warm and inviting, the staff friendly and helpful. A great experience all around. We've found our new favorite sushi restaurant!!!

Ed W.

Yelp
Traditional Japanese hibachi. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. if ordering hibachi and you want teriyaki, garlic butter or sesame finish on your hibachi grilled food it is not something they automatically ask you about so you need to request it when ordering. place fills up extremely fast after 5:15 pm so get there early to get your seat at one of the many grills they have!
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
This place has great sushi and really great lunch / happy hour specials. I recommend the Crunch Roll or Gangham Style - they are great! I like the atmosphere here, the booths are quiet and have high backs. It's a good spot for dates that way. Frequently, I eat here for lunch. The Bento Boxes are good value, I like the salmon best. The past few times I've had the chicken it was dry. You can also have Teppenyakii. The chefs are inconsistent - we have had great ones, and a few that were light on personality. It's not bad, but there are better ones in town The best part of this place is the sushi, specials and quiet atmosphere.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
I am a fan of sushi and have eaten almost every item off most common sushi menus. Tokyo Steakhouse is split into a hibachi seating area and regular dining. I have been to both. I've eaten here countless times and have enjoyed it. I would say the Hibachi is nothing amazing, taste is standard. The sushi is also average, nothing premium. The staff is friendly and the decor is nice. Certain hours they are very busy and other times a bit slower. Price is higher because it is a sushi restaurant, but standard for a sushi eatery. I would like to point out this is NOT a high class sushi restaurant with premium grade food. Now, I've been to high class sushi places before and they are good but at a much higher cost. This place is good, but not a luxurious date place.
google avatar

Troy Patrick F.

Yelp
They made me a Jalapeño Bomb (not on the menu) & the hibachi was great! Ask for the white guy!! Serious - ask for Bud... Nice tall Sapporo's, tender meat, killer shrimp and he made 4 custom orders of rice.... Due to dietary restrictions. Great personality, awesome showmanship and most importantly a great chef!!
google avatar

Nam K.

Yelp
We have been to Tokyo Steakhouse several times. The sushi are good. Service is attentive enough. I think i had their Ramen, but don't remember exactly what it tasted like. ha. I need to try it again. Wednesday nights are sushi and martini special nights. You can get 2 rolls for 17. Not a bad deal. I think they make them smaller. Martinis are 4 each. They are weak compared to other places. If you're in a hurry, sit at the bar. The chefs can finish up your rolls in less than 5 mins. Overall it's a great addition to Ankeny dining scene. I haven't been there on the weekends, but the parking always looks full.

Genevieve W.

Yelp
Love this place for sushi. Come here for their lunch specials! 2 rolls for $9 or 3 for $12 served with soup and salad. Service is super friendly and they remember you if you come in often. Sushi is well made and delicious. So are the drinks. This is a nice place to come for lunch! Especially for the price!!!

Yelp
I have to say this is my favorite place to go out to eat. Whether it's hibachi or sushi, the food is always amazing. And the wait staff are always there to help you decide on something new to try. Tonight we tried two different sushi rolls and like always they were delicious.

Yelp
Actually disappointed I have to write this but yesterday was such a bad experience I had to write this. went in valentines weekend and they had one lady handling seating, take out orders and rsvp. My girlfriend and I had rsvp at 6:00 along with 30 other people and didn't get sat and noticed till 6:40. For my vegetarian girlfriend wanted tofu hibachi and we were told they didn't have tofu at an Asian style hibachi which was a lie after we've been there before and got tofu. Service was eh. Then brought our entrees and had meet in my girlfriends dish after specifying that she was vegetarian. Sushi wasn't fresh. Most likely won't head back after a horrible experience.
