A bakery that clearly understands it's on the Oregon trail and shows that with it s historic offerings and memorabilia in the gift shop. This place used to be really cheap, and now it's on the low end of the high side. Excellent food, especially their sandwiches which are reasonably priced. I've heard people rave about the coffee, though I've never had it. They have an astounding collection of candy from a long time ago. Stuff you haven't seen probably since the '70s. However bizarre your candy was, like candy cigarettes, or pop rocks, or just flat out Necco wafers, they'll have them. Plenty of them. The gift shop changes for the season, and has an excellent selection of Christmas decor. Pre-order your dinner rolls for Thanksgiving or Christmas and you won't be disappointed, but they do need to be eaten within 3 days. If you like cinnamon rolls, he won't be disappointed. They also have whole cakes and pies as well as slices available daily. This is one of the most popular spots in Sandy, so if you're there in the middle of the day or in the early evening, it's going to be busy. The waiting line can be fairly long, but they move as fast as they can. You won't find employees standing around in this bakery. There are a couple of tables to eat there, and there is outside seating as well.
