So...why does this place have such a high rating? Because it has impeccable service. I don't know that it's prices are better or worse than any other, I was in a rush and wanted to take some hard cheeses home (soft cheeses not being permitted to bring back into the USA). I explained I needed cheeses that would be okay not being refrigerated for a while, and the cheesemonger happily walked me through several options, a wide variety of cheeses that fit the bill, giving me samples along the way as he shaved them from the large blocks of cheese. He also took the initiative to vacuum seal it. Great place to get your cheese, especially for a trip home!

Just incredible cheeses in a market filled with excellent cheese vendors. Picked up several and all were wonderful. We tasted each of the mountain cheese offerings. Think of this as a smaller shop that has a concentration of above average cheeses.

To any cheese lover out there: don't miss that place. It is absolutely heaven on earth. They have the most amazing cheeses and the service is unbelievably knowledgeable. They put a lot of effort into introducing you to various cheeses and finding the one which meets your taste. One of the best delicatessen shops in Munich.

Der kleine Marktladen bietet köstliche Käsesorten regionaler & internationaler Herkunft an und wird von mir häufig aufgesucht - vor allem wenn ich eine Käseauswahl für ein Abendessen mit Gästen brauche. Die Preise entsprechen dem hohen Level des Viktualienmarktes und die Beratung ist eigentlich immer ausgezeichnet, wobei man gelegentlich sogar einen amüsant-snobistischen Kommentar ('Den Stilton kann ich nicht beurteilen; als Französin würde ich ja nie zu einem englischen Käse greifen.') zu hören bekommt. Quality Food-Shopping mit Entertainment! Cheers! 😁🍷
