Awesome lunch deal! My friend and I split the soup, BBQ ribs, mussels and chips, and blueberry cheesecake. So much good food for the price – totally worth it!

One of the best restaurants in not just Essex but the UK that we have been to - excellent food, menu and service.

Nice venue but found the price for 2 cauliflower steaks quite pricy (£18). Would have been nice if chips were included in that price. There was also live music ( Friday eve). We had a table in the corner near the toilets which was good as you could still have a conversation. It does get very very loud!

My husband and I stopped by this restaurant on the way home from a road trip for some lunch from a recommendation off the Michelin guide. It was very quiet around 2pm when we went which was nice. Definitely recommend the fresh bread - it was delightful. The food was very good, although I will say that portion size was a bit lacking for the price in my opinion. The true start of this establishment is the cocktails. My husband and I have agreed to come back to try more cocktails once we were not driving home because they really were outstanding. The atmosphere was very nice, nicely decorated. The service was a bit stand-offish. I didn't feel like our waiter was overly friendly which was unexpected for a very quiet time. Overall, would definitely go back and try some more drinks and dishes!

Excellent Sunday lunch, all well prepared and presented. We had pre booked and were shown a choice of tables. Roast beef with a nice paring of wine. Really a London premium restaurant. Highly recommend. About our 5th visit and always consistant. There was a guitar singer as well who added to a great afternoon. We were not rushed off teh table either and stayed for an extra glass and listened to the singer. Thanks !

Simply the best restaurant in Loughton for me! Excellent service, and you can pre-order your drinks so their signature cocktail or Bloody Mary can join you the minute you arrive the place. Outstanding and interesting food. Puppy friendly, so you can enjoy with your dog on the outside terrace or the inside deck. Well done everyone!

A fantastic restaurant and my favourite place in Loughton. The menu is superb as are the staff. All the starters are great but my personal favourite is the scallops and pork belly. My go to main is the lobster but I also love the chargrilled prawns and the black truffle and ricotta tortellini. If you have room for dessert, the Eton mess vanilla cheese cake is great! Almost forgot to say, the cocktail menu is fantastic. Totally recommend TDH.

Tried this place for the first time! Unfortunately won’t be going back as the food was awful undercooked Yorkshire puddings, the meat tasted old, and the roast potatoes looked like they’ve been reheated in a microwave. I spoke to the manager, and told him my concerns however he dismissed them instantly didn’t really want to take ownership or have a look at the RAW Yorkshire puddings WOULD NOT recommend this place. Final comment the toilets were awful brown stains everywhere!!

Grilled octopus w chorizo & chickpea 9 v good Fried squid Cornish squid, togarashi pepper, lime, squid ink mayo 8 v good Leaf salad 4 good Padron peppers 4 generous serving TDH brew Belgium draught 5 good Sparkling water L -complimentary Sticky toffee w ice cream 7 - v good, hot & cold delight Choc ice cream sandwich, choc sponge w passion fruit 7 - decadent -not too sweet (Cherry, almond, pistachio tart w choc sorbet 7 - out of stock) Pot of tea 3 Overall a very enjoyable meal. Music was quite loud though & they were looping the same ethno beat that somewhat annoyed my hubby.

I've had a couple of really good burgers here, and the squid starter with squid in mayo was great. Minimal but decent beer list. I'd say it was mainly for ladies who lunch, and love Rosé wine.

Five of us ate here on Tuesday evening. The food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and had a great sense of humour. The decor is really unusual and festive. Would definitely recommend and we will come back
