Was there with my friend to get lunch after shopping at Dillard's, June 15, 2025 around 3pm. Ordered fried rice and Boba drink. Tried to pay with a $100. bill from the atm but was refused because they can't break a hundred so I immediately paid with my credit card, cost was close to $40. But I didn't leave a tip.
After getting our food and eating, they called our order number so my friend went up to see for what since we're already eating our food.
They told my friend that the $100. was fake. I ignored what they said and continued eating. They again summoned me to come over which i did. They asked to see the bill and started scanning it in their cheap looking bill scanner and they can't seem to make up their minds...they said it's fake so I said, before you tell me it's fake, you best be real sure that it is.
They said they have to keep the bill to report it.
My thoughts were, if they were sure it's fake, why not call mall security and report it??? I told them I got that bill out of Wells Fargo ATM and I must take it back to them to make sure their not giving out fake money.
I do believe, in my opinion, this girls were trying to swindle me.. I asked for them to use the pen but they said their manager has it and not there.
IS THIS A NEW WAY OF RIPPING CUSTOMERS??? I asked for their names but they refused to give. One has a black hair, the other has red hair....there's a 3rd that said she's the manager....SO WHERE'S THE PEN TO CHECK THE BILL??? I was just told the manager has the pen and not there????
Again, IS THIS A NEW WAY OF RIPPING INNOCENT VICTIMS???
Furthermore, to sound accusatory to a customer who just paid for their food and doesn't owe you money is unbelievable. Sounds to me like you discussed what and how to keep that $100. for yourselves before calling the customer back.
You're both young girls and I hope you live an honest respectable lives. Crime doesn't pay.
