Toma Mojo Grill

This was my first time at this restaurant, and unfortunately it was an atrocious experience. What’s especially disappointing is that the food itself wasn’t half bad, but regardless, I will never be returning. My mom and I had dinner here tonight, and the single employee working had one of the worst attitudes I’ve encountered in a long time. We were the only customers in the building, yet it felt as though our presence was unwelcome from the moment we walked in. We barely interacted with him and placed our order through the screen, but the hostility was still apparent. He didn’t hand me my drink, he simply placed it down and told me to come get it. When our food arrived, he slammed the tray down aggressively and rudely. My mom asked for an extra plate since we planned to share the bowl we ordered, and he reacted as if it were the most ridiculous request imaginable, repeatedly saying, “You want a plate?!” as if the concept needed explaining. Throughout our visit, he spent most of his time on his phone and even stepped outside to smoke. Overall, this individual was incredibly unpleasant and clearly miserable, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. My only regret is not asking for his name to include in this review. Needless to say, I will not be returning and do not recommend this establishment due to its horrible customer service. I included of the plate that was given to us but was more of a tray…

Delicious, fresh, flavorful, well-seasoned food. Spicy was actually spicy. Lots of options - great for those who need to cater to many different needs/tastes. They were aware of allergens in items and advised us well. I would make the trek over to Richfield just to eat here.

The service here was very amazing and attentive! The worker went above and beyond to provide a great experience for all people. My friend and I both got grilled chicken tenders 6/10. They weren’t very grilled and the seasoning was a bit off. We both got Brussels sprouts 10/10 they were amazing!!! The best Brussels sprouts I have ever had! I got the cucumber and tomato salad 6/10. It was very fresh but had minimal flavor and was leaking through the little dish it comes in. My friend got Mac and cheese and it was 2/10. It tasted like butter noodles and was very mushy. Overall I feel like they have a great menu but a few items made need more love or we had an off batch.

Tasty, filling lunches, made with very fresh ingredients! They put care into how their food looks and tastes. It's not just thrown together. It looks as good as it tastes! Here, you can get wraps, burgers (including impossible burgers), bowls, wings, and more. As I said, it's all made from very high quality ingredients, and fresh meat. This place is located just south of the Richfield Target. For the size of the restaurant, it feels roomy and airy. The staff was incredibly friendly, as well. I took a little long to order, as there were a ton of great options, and they never rushed me, or looked disappointed or bored.

All the chicken sandwiches were very good. Super tender and juicy. We tried the grilled chicken sandwich, the fried chicken sandwich and the pulled chicken chicken sandwiches. All of us loved our sandwiches. We tried 4 different sides, the brussel sprouts were bomb, Mac and cheese was ok, fries were crispy and good. The tomatoes with cucumbers was a little bland but we loved having so many choices with the sides. Definitely will come back. Mike at the counter was very helpful and accommodating.

We tried this place for lunch for something different versus defaulting to Chipotle or somewhere we always eat. The food was fresh and well prepared, I'm just not sure I understand the niche here. The menu has burgers, some snack wrap value items, and rice/protein bowl varieties. They also have tap beer (Fulton Lonely Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine when we ate there). My rice and chicken bowl had the scoop of hummus in it and I thought it was just ok tasting. It could have used more chicken chunks I think. Would I return here and eat again? Maybe but nothing is really compelling me from the menu or atmosphere.

Come here regularly, but yesterday evening the burger and fries were best I’ve had. Keep it up and anyone reading this gotta try it. Help support small businesses, better than five guys. Rich

I wanted to acknowledge an employee at Toma Mojo Grill, who was working around 9:00am when I arrived this morning. While I'm unsure of her name, I was impressed by her politeness and welcoming demeanor. She prepared the breakfast sandwiches to absolute perfection. Her good service made for a great start to my day.

We love this place, even my kids who are 12/8 years old and rather picky eaters. Prompt and friendly service every time. I'm a spice lover so I enjoy that they have that option on many of their menu items. Pictured are two orders of the 3 piece cx fingers (crispy and grilled), two orders of crispy Brussels sprouts (this is the ONLY place either of my girls will order any type of veggies) and side of fries with four of their sauces on the side (Buffalo, spicy piri piri, piri aioli, toma sauce). They get our order right every time and everything is seasoned to perfection. More people need to know about this place but if I'm honest I'll be happy if it stays a hidden gem

Inside is quiet with plenty of seating. There's a tv you can sit and watch and eat. You can order from the counter or the self-serve kiosk. They serve some beers and sangria in house which was kinda cool. Plenty of parking. I really enjoyed their brussel sprouts. It had that perfect crispiness with a light herby lemon vinaigrette. I also liked the mac -. It was creamy when it was fresh. The chicken tenders were also tasty and crispy! You can choose from grilled or crispy or get it spicy. The sauces seem to be the highlight and you should get a few of them with your chicken. The house sauce was similar to Kane's and it's delicious with the chicken. The bbq was simple bbq. The chicken sandwich wasn't great - its three tenders on a bun instead of one large piece of chicken. The bread was meh and they use shredded lettuce. The fries were meh so I would sub it for one of the other sides.

I tried Toma Mojo Grill for the first time tonight and I did NOT regret it! I needed a quick dinner after a long day at work so I decided to stop in and give it a try. I was immediately impressed by the variety on the menu and the wonderful, patient staff. The garlic grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was like comfort food in the best way. And the brussels sprouts had the perfect savory crisp. They sell a few alcoholic beverages including beer, seltzers, wine, and sangrias. The seating areas were clean and spacious. I decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful evening! I think this is a perfect spot to grab lunch or dinner, especially if you are also making a stop at the nearby Target or Home Depot. I will definitely be coming back to Toma again!

Cool spot for yummy food! I actually went during their grand opening so this review is a little late lol. The service was great though! I ordered a salad & my friends ordered the meal plate which came with roasted chicken, roasted brussels sprouts, and a side of bread. It was pretty good! Chicken was nicely seasoned. Nothing crazy, just simple and yummy. You def need to try all the sauces tho. Those were bomb!! It def adds more to the meal so DON'T SKIP THE SAUCE!

Great service. Very friendly wait staff. Great prices!!!! Quality of food excellent. Great menu. Brussels sprouts are excellent. Chicken moist. Will be back.

The people who helped us today were very hospitable and the food was delicious and made to order. I like the piri-piri sauce and the sangrias are nice too. Plenty of seating and the space is not too crowded.

I'm so glad I we went out of our way to check this place out! It was so good!! We started with the Brussel spouts. They were amazing! My mom got the sample platter. It had a nice variety of food. The fries, pork and chicken were delish! We loved the variety of sauces that came with it. I had the banza (sp) salad. It was pretty good. I really liked the tomato bread on the side. The chicken on top was juicy and flavorful. My son got a sandwich and it was Soo good! My other son ordered a kids meal and it was healthy and delicious. I can't wait to come back. I'm looking forward to having a glass of sangria on their patio!

My friend read about Toma, and we decided to go after a movie at AMC Southdale. Fortunately, the meal was much better than the film we saw. The boys both got the Pork and Rice Bowl. They said that it was a little salty at first (which can happen with slow-cooked pork), then were fine after everything was mixed together. They were ear-to-ear smiles. I got the LaMancha Salad, and wish I still had some of it. The balance of flavors, the different textures, make this a wonderful meal. The piece de resistance was the Loaded Fries. OMG!!! So delicious! This could be a meal unto itself, with the amount of food on top of these great-tasting fries. The fries are fab all on their own, so the pulled pork, peppers, cheese, etc. just add to the yum factor. We split what was left to eat later at home. The service here is friendly, helpful, and quick. We will certainly be back and think that you'll love it, too.

I ordered the Piri Chicken Mac online for pick up about three hours later. When I arrived it was on the to-go shelf so I could just grab it and go, no hassle! The silver and plastic ware are right there on the counter between the o-go rack and the cash register, another easy concept. My food was hot and not good...but...deeeelcious! I am new to Toma so I hadn't ordered it yet and had forgot what was all in the bowl so I was delightfully surprised when I saw the corn and red peppers in it! Thanks Toma for a delicious lunch and a seamless ordering and picking up process. Cheers!

Ordered a chicken sandwich and Brussels, which were recommended. I love Brussels so I was immediately sold. Not the worst but I've definitely had better. They were covered in some sort of sauce that I wanted to brush off and they didn't have much flavor otherwise. The chicken sandwich was just okay. I think I might return to try other things but not at the top of list of places to return to.

The employees were friendly and accommodating as I was able to add grilled onions to the cheeseburger instead of raw. We have been here a few times because my husband said the burger is one of the best. We also really like the Brussels sprouts in lemon herb dressing and the crispy fries. So good! The chicken was well-seasoned and tender and I tried the mac and cheese, which was tasty but could use more cheese. It's a great restaurant!

A fun place, they used to have a great happy hour on appetizers, but now it's just a nice little small plate menu that is affordable and always available. They have nice outdoor seating too, a great selection of different sauces, and a nice variety of foods.

Toma is a Mojo Grill restaurant inspired by Spain and Portugal cuisine. My partner and I bought the sampler which came with pulled pork, a chicken leg, 3 sauces and fries for $14. The sauces are AMAZING. I would buy bottles of the piri piri sauce. The chicken leg was delicious, tender and flavorful. The pork was fatty and had good flavor but might have had too much fat for my liking. The fries were very crispy and well seasoned - my only complaint is for the amount of sauce they gave, I wish they gave more fries. The staff said they'll be adding sangria to the menu soon so I will definitely be sipping wine on their cute little patio when that happens. But overall this place reminded us of Nandos and we are huge fans. Will definitely be back again!

As far as fast food joints go this one was better than many. Sup rising good Brussel sprouts. The fries and burger are not to bad either.

Toma opened a new location near the MSP airport and I had been to the previous location and it was amazing. They had a half off deal for opening weekend and it was packed. I ordered the pork platter for four and got the cucumber salad and navy beans as my side. Our order was ready when we arrived and perfectly packed up. We brought it home and I bought some tortillas at a grocery store and my wife made up a plate with the spicy sauce and the navy beans on the side, She made two amazing burritos with the wonderfully smoked pork and the refreshing cucumber and tomato salad. I can't recommend this place more. The spicy sauce is hot, but it doesn't overtake the flavor. We ordered the beans and rice without the rice and they left out the rice. For a busy day, they nailed everything perfectly! Go here!

Yelp guided us to Toma Mojo. Definitely a great place to eat. Staff helped us through the menu and made recommendation. Atmosphere is casual and laid back. Perfect for the Sunday lunch break we were looking for.

I love it here. It is amazing. The food is superb. The service is more than just acceptable. It is fast and amazing. The ambience is incredible and welcoming. It makes everyone feel welcome. Try the Crispy chicken sandwich or the garlic hummus bowl they are amazing.

Nice fast casual spot with a focus on their 9 different sauces. Large menu and fast casual service with really friendly and helpful employees. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. Their Brussels sprouts are the can't miss item here, they are really good. I was worried with being a fast casual spot, but they executed them really well. Their fries come with one of the dipping sauces and you get an additional sauce with most entree options, you can order additional sauces for a small fee after the free ones. Nice spot for a quick meal.

Had about everything now and it's all solid. Good burger. Chicken sando. Pulled pork. Chicken drummies. Any bowl. You name it. Love the mojo sauce. Bring ya a$$.

I come to Minnesota often for work. Finding a good restaurant to sit down and enjoy a good meal and have parking is always the trifecta I look for. The food was amazing. The service was very knowledgeable of not only the store they worked at but the way they prepared the food. I appreciated him sharing that with me.the brussels sprouts and macaroni and cheese were the bomb along with the pulled pork and the different sauces. I always come back here to eat when I'm in the area.

Service was ok, but a little slow. Food was not very good. Ordered the Beyond Sausage plate with fries and Brussels sprouts. Sausage was over cooked and dry and not very much meat considering the plate was $15. Fries were a little dry, but tasty. Brussels sprouts were cooked ok, but had way too much sauce on them. Wife had the pulled chicken sandwich and she couldn't finish it due not liking it (overcooked and hard bits). Slaw was bland, missing vinegar or something to give it some flavor. Just not very good for the money spent. Won't be going back.

We were so disappointed to see the changes in the menu and service at what had been one of our favorite places for bowls. When this place opened, it was wonderfully distinctive for a fast food place. Great menu, good service. Now, it's like so many places...ho hum and dumbed down. Some of their best dishes are gone. The freshness in presentation, sloppy. Won't be back.

First time visiting this place. Staff was super nice and helpful, gave great recommendations from the menu. Food was incredible! So fresh and flavorful. I got a chicken grain bowl and my husband got a chicken plate. The sauces are yummy, varying from no spice to a good kick. Overall super impressed, will be back!

The GM, Christopher was wonderful! The food is very reasonably priced, very filling, and really good! The space itself is also nice; a great place to bring your laptop, grab a meal, even a drink, and get some work done. We'll be back!

Stopped in tonight for first burger and taste. Brussels were very flavorful and not over salted. Good deep flavors. The piri piri chicken drummers were very moist and cooked perfectly. Creamy herb aioli was a nice compliment. Burger (double) stands up to the best of them and similar great fries like my burger. Will come back for the bowls and platters. Would recommend.

Really good chicken at a good price. Snack wraps are a great value item and all the sauces are great!

Amazingly delicious food! I stopped in yesterday for the first time after my boyfriend and I noticed their storefront next to his new job. We decided to try it out and we're not disappointed. The Piri-Piri Chicken Mac and cheese was so delicious with amazing flavor! We also tried all three chicken wraps and I had the Rancher salad. All were absolutely delicious. We will be back again! The food was prepared fresh and the staff and service were wonderful!

2.5 stars really. We got a platter with pulled pork and it was swimming in grease and a little fatty. The Brussels spouts have no flavor and I understand that sauce can change that but they are also undercooked for my taste (I love and make Brussels sprouts, probably once a week). The chicken sandwich was a little dry and had little flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was the best. The fries were fine nothing great and the cucumber salad was also lacking flavor with mangy tomatoes. Service was slow and lacked the personal experience that was advertised. The half price grand opening this weekend is for takeout only and was disappointing we couldn't get the discount but we decided to stay, wish we didn't pay full price for the mediocre food.

I recently visited the Richfield location. The staff was very kind and it was a very clean restaurant. I wasn't a fan of my food. There wasn't as much seasoning on the chicken. I might have gotten the wrong item, but I got one of the chicken salads and was underwhelmed.

Welcoming and friendly staff, and the food was delicious! The carrot cake was delicious too! Highly recommend!

This place is DELICIOUS!!!! Their mojo chicken with the sides are amazing! The service is great also, very attentive. I'll definitely be back!

We're so excited to have this place in our neighborhood. I had the chicken sandwich; my wife had a chicken bowl. We both loved our meals. Definitely looking forward to when they add breakfast options. We'll be back!
