The best tsukemen I've ever had 🍜 I heard about Tomita Shokudo from the Visit Chiba website and discovered that this is a very famous tsukemen restaurant in the prefecture! I ordered the mini rich broth tsukemen with cha siu and boiled egg toppings. Honestly, I was completely blown away with the taste of the broth! I've tried other tsukemen before but I found the broth a little too light for my linking since I personally like strong and salty broths. The noodles was also exceptional and paired very nicely with the broth 😋 I was pleasantly surprised as well by the cha siu. I was worried it would be hard to chew but it was actually quite soft with a decent amount of fat 🤯 On the other hand, the gyoza was so crispy and not at all overwhelming 🥟 The customer service excellent too because the staff who welcomed me to the restaurant was very energetic and cheerful 😊 My advice is don't order too much food! Although I ordered the "mini (ミニ)" size the serving of noodles was extremely generous 😆 I wasn't even able to ask them to add stock to my broth so I could drink it because I was so full 🤣 I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Chiba!

If you’ve never had Tonkotsu Ramen this is the most authentic and highly rated place to go. BUT, it’s not for everyone - the noodles come cold and the broth is thick so as you dip your noodles the broth gets colder and it’s VERY HEAVY. You order from a kiosk and the larger the portion THE MORE NOODLES not protein. The fried rice and gyoza were delicious, pass on the shumai. We obviously over ordered :)

Visited around 2pm of weekdays but quite some people. Got in without waiting, but waited for 20min until the tsukemen is served. Not sure if it is normal but felt it is a bit late considering the place was not full. Tsukemen was good as expected, thick fish flavor dipping sauce, thick chewy nice noodles that go together very much well. One thing I did not like, while I was waiting I could not help but notice that the staff in the kitchen cleaned table cloth, then without washing or at least rinsing hands, directly started work with pork chashu by bare hands which I did not like much.

There was no lineup on a Friday at 1:30pm. The server came out to help guide us inside to order on the machine (we at first thought the frozen take out machine outside the restaurant was where we were supposed to order from!). Got the tsukemen dipping noodles (one of the pork pieces was smoked), two eggs, shoyu ramen, and three gyozas. Order came to about $27 CAD. Will be going back for the gyozas alone - they are like soupy dumplings with more meat to wrapping ratio, and damn delicious (also big! See hand for scale). My favourite of the soups was the shoyu as I’m not the biggest fan of miso base and prefer more soup/sauce over noodles. Great first time trying this famous ramen!

Tomita Shokudo elevates the dining experience by introducing a tantalizing twist—dipping ramen. The innovative addition to their menu provides a delightful departure from the ordinary. The kiosk ordering system seamlessly guides patrons to this unique culinary offering, allowing them to savor each noodle in flavorful dipping broth. Amidst the generous portions and accommodating seating options, the dipping ramen stands out as a must-try. It's a savory journey that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience, showcasing Tomita Shokudo's commitment to redefining traditional flavors with creativity and flair.

My daughter's favorite is the shoyu ramen (smallest size) and I looove the tsukemen (medium size). Our airbnb was about 350m from this place. We ended up eating here for 3 consecutive dinners. The gyozas are also huge and yummy. Fairly big place so if it's busy, it wouldnt be too long until you get a seat.

Went there at 2pm and managed to skip the queue. Tsukemen was satisfying and delicious, but i think everything ended up being a little too starchy. Toppings weren’t my favorite as well. On a whole this isnt bad and worth a visit but im not sure if i want to go back for the noukou tsukemen or get the tokusei. Probably might go back to check out the morisoba or niboshi soba next time

One of the best Tsukemen in Japan! The noodle and the brooth is very fragrant, as for the brooth, it is flavourful, fatty and light at the same time, with a hint of yuzu.
