This was an incredible visit. I got the chicken the brisket pulled pork mac and cheese and potato salad. My least favorite thing is probably between salad. I prefer more of a mustard style. It's not to say it was bad just not up my alley as much. The brisket here was fantastic. Incredible flavor and moist and tender. The chicken had a little bit of a dry outside skin which is expected but the inside was so moist so delicious. The mac and cheese had good flavor and the cheese stayed melted without getting all coagulated. I wish they had a couple more sauce options. Especially a mustard-based sauce. And the pulled pork also was tender with lots of delicious smokey flavor. Little bit high in the price side but the quality was fantastic and I would definitely come back here. Excellent job all around guys.

I've been here a couple of times and I've enjoyed the food here. The portions are good the service is great and they have plenty of meat options and sides. The ribs are flavorful and smoked . The links are delicious and perfectly cooked.

Barbecue is excellent. Really good sauce. Mac and cheese needs a little help, dry and tasteless. Other sides are great! New Year's Day was the first time I was really disappointed. I ordered the one way and had it delivered. Got two Full bones and two small ends and very little sauce that barely covered the meat! That's very unusual. The ribs at the bottom of the plate had no sauce at all. I actually had to add some of my store-bought sauce. This is the first time I was very disappointed. I am a loyal customer and have recommended Tommy's to everyone I know. Great customer service and generous portions. Hopefully this was just a mistake.....

Everything was delivered hot, fresh, and packed with care—you can tell these folks cook with love and pride. Let’s start with the sides. The collard greens had a slight zesty kick that was just right—totally satisfying. The coleslaw was equally delicious, with a lightly sweet flavor and the perfect crunchy texture. Both paired wonderfully with the main dishes. Now, the meat… oh man! It was so tender it literally fell apart with ease. Every bite was flavorful, and the BBQ sauce might just be one of the best we’ve ever had. It brought everything together perfectly. The delivery was smooth, and the packaging was thoughtfully done, keeping everything fresh and ready to enjoy. We’re already looking forward to ordering from them again. The family and I went here for our first time recently. We want to see if it was as good as the reviews said. Well it is a very good BBQ spot. Its fair priced for BBQ and we try the Brisket, pork ribs, and chicken. All of them were cook wonderfully and tasted delicious. For side we tried the mac and cheese, cold slaw, potatoe salad, and BBQ bean. They were all good as well. The customer service is very friendly and nice. Plus free refills on the fountain drinks. We will definitely be going back! Thanks Tommy's BBQ!

Went back to get BBQ since I was in the area. Disappointed they don't have the brisket tacos.. that needs to come back. We tried the smash burger and a 2-way. Food was ok but super disappointing to find my potato salad literally drenched in BBQ sauce. I tried to eat it anywat but it didn't work it was just all messed up. I don't know why there was bbq sauce since they gave us a tub on the side. Epic fail today to detail and attention. I guess for future ask potato salad on the side. It's our first time here.   We found this place on tiktok.  The place has a pretty chill vibe.   For a Saturday morning/ afternoon when the opened it wasn't a crazy long line. They have a lot of items that I didn't see online.   One was the beef rib which they only have Friday and Saturday.  The other one was desserts like key lime pie and banana pudding cheesecake. DJ was the person who took my order and helped me.   He was super nice and gave me some recommendations.   Service was fast and easy.   While I waited for my order you can see someone cutting the meats for each order.  I thought it was pretty cool to see.   My order was ready within 5-10 minutes.  It was well packed and handed with care. We ordered: 1.  Brisket tacos - $9 taco was kind of pricy but it's worth a try.   It was a pretty big size and a nice starter to the meal.   We ate this prior to the ride back home.   The crunch from the cilantro lime slaw, picked onions, and brisket was perfect.   I think it would have been even better if they chopped up the brisket instead of one whole slice.  You kind of just end up with a salad on top.  I recommend trying it and I will definitely have this again when I come back. 2.  1lb brisket- They didn't ask what cut I wanted, if it was lean or fatty.  This was deliciously fall apart tender. 3.  Beef rib plate w/ mac n cheese & corn -  I love the juicy dino rib.  Mac and cheese was perfect.  I liked that the corn was buttery and garlicky. 4.  Chicken plate w/ mac n cheese & potato salad - Chicken was nice and juicy.   Potato salad wasn't bad.   I liked that it was simple and has nice sized chunks of potatoes. 5.  Key lime pie - Filling was good, the tartness was on point.  The crust was just off.   It didn't compliment the key lime filling.  It wasn't a crumbly graham cracker crust.  I don't know how to explain it. 6.  Banana pudding cheesecake - I was excited to try this but sadly I we disappointed.  It tasted like banana pudding but I couldn't taste the cheesecake.  It tasted more like a hard whipped cream on a cake or something.   The crust was delicious. I definitely recommend the meats and sides.  No complaints on my end.  I leave it up to you to try the desserts.   Let me know how you like it.  I'll be back soon.

Enjoyed my brisket sandwich, the pieces of meat were tender, juicy and nice thick pieces. I appreciated the lean cuts that were not full of fat or overly salty. Will be back to try their BBQ plates and sides

Very smoky beans with tender, not too lean brisket made fot a satisfying meal. Courteous service by everyone! Order the hot bbq sauce. Not a peppered concoction sauce!

3rd time here. Had 2 way brisket point. Ribs. Greens and bbq beans. All were superb! You have to get here! And to boot the team here is super hospitable!!

I got the 2 meat combo with double brisket, Mac & cheese and greens again. All of my food was great! The brisket was tender & delicious. I consider $31+ for a plate to be on the pricey side for readymade food to go. However, if you want delicious barbecue and a good variety of sides. I recommend!

Was meeting my friend for dinner and he suggested this place to go to. I am always down for BBQ, so I decided to give this place a try. Ordering is simple, you ask for what style of food you want (plate or sandwich or something else) and you choose your protein and side. I went with two meats of Chicken and Brisket, with Mac and Cheese and Coleslaw as my side and a drink. 2 meat plate: The brisket was very tender and juicy. The right amount of sauce and seasoning was perfect for me. The chicken was also big as well. It was like eating a half whole chicken and the seasoning was a bit salty on this one. The Cole slaw was crispy and refreshing and the Mac and cheese was good. The slice of bread was also a nice touch. Overall, a nice dinner with my friend, although very pricey for what I paid (close to $30). Still, I enjoyed my meal and would come back again.

Unsure about this place. The meat was overcooked and over seasoned. Had high hopes for the brisket tacos but they had way too much cilantro and crema sauce to be enjoyable. They are trying the smash burger but it was really not good :( Staff was friendly and the place is chill overall

I've been here a few times and I came for dinner. I ordered the ribs, links, collard greens and mac and cheese. The service was quick and friendly and my order was ready within minutes. Everything that I ordered was delicious and juicy and perfectly cooked. I will definitely return soon.

Value and FLAVOR! Worth the drive and toll to get this. The plates are generous with their serving portion. Brisket MELTS! Meat has a good hint of smokiness. Staff is friendly and fast. Clean restaurant with seating inside and out. Staff were very and friendly and welcoming. Everything I had was good though I wouldn't say spectacular (hard to find spectacular bbq in the bay). That being said I would definitely go again! The brisket was tender and juicy, the ribs too. Though in my humble opinion everything could use just a touch more seasoning.

Bought a tub of potato salad from Costco and forgot to bring it out for a party. What in the world are we going to do with this much potato salad? Wash it down with BBQ! Been wanting to check out Tommy's for a while and we found an excuse to go. Bought a pound of brisket and a half rack of ribs. My whole family thought the ribs were fantastic. Meaty, smoky, tender, but still have some chew. Close to BBQ perfection. I like the sauce. They gave a ridiculous amount to go (two tubs worth). The tomato based sauce is not too sweet, with a good amount of tang and heat. The brisket is good, but we all liked the ribs better and thought the ribs were a better value. 1 lb of brisket was 4 thick cut slices lathered in brisket drippings. Excited to come back and try some of the sides.

This place is pretty good! The smash burger was delicious, it comes with their special sauce, grilled onions, and pickles. Their pickles were sweet, which I typically don't care for, but they worked well and I enjoyed every bite. I got a single patty and found it filling but most people would probably find the double to be the perfect size. My partner got the loaded baked potato and that thing is huge!!!!!! He did it with the brisket and asked for no green onion and no jalapeno (booooo, those would've definitely set it off even more). They were NOT stingy with the meat and the brisket was tender and delicious. There were some fatty pieces but they were far and few. For me it was less than I would expect for this type of place. I don't like baked potatoes but I definitely kept helping myself to this one. We also got the one-way combo with ribs, mac, and potato salad. My partner loved the ribs, neither one of use liked the sides. The potato included beans so from what I tasted on that those were good, cant speak to them as a side. I don't consider this to be southern style BBQ, but BBQ is subjective and what's important is if it's good and if you'd eat it again. Our takeaway is that we will definitely be back for the ribs and brisket (we'll skip the sides and order by the pound), the burger, baked potato, and to try their quesabirria style tacos. It's in a shopping center so parking is easy, we did not order ahead and the wait wasn't long, and the customer service was really good. One small thing that I appreciated: When we ordered the baked potato the cashier stopped to check that they still had them, we ended up with the last one. This seems super minor and like it should be standard procedure but it's not. More times than not I have ordered something somewhere just to find out after the fact that the kitchen was out of it.

Dang... the beef brisket and mac n cheese are hella good. My son and I were inhaling the food. Flavor is amazing and the meat melts in your mouth. This will be my go to for BBQ from now on.

Been wanting to check out Tommy's and last night was the perfect opportunity as I was in the area and had to rush home to help out with the "trick or treaters"...ordered an online 2-item plate...some of the best smoked brisket and ribs I've had in awhile...very tangy and tasty mild sauce, but the sides....mac&cheese and cole slaw did the job but will probably try something different the next time...DEFINITELY coming back for more, and hope it's soon...!!! Fast, easy and convenient online ordering....easy pick-up, all ready to go when I arrived...thanks, Tommy's...!!!

Ok so I saw a video about this spot! I had no idea it was around! It looked good! I wanted to try it! So I pulled up! Nice little spot hidden in a strip mall not a ton of sitting room but there is some! I ordered on line and the customer service was attentive and got to me pretty quickly. So from the time I pressed send to pulling up was about 15 minutes and my order was ready pretty soon after I walked in. The ambience was nice menu was on the walls and it looked good and clean inside. Now to the food I ordered a two meat brisket and ribs and a pound of beef links! The brisket was pretty good fork tender, the ribs were not little they give you your moneys worth! I really like the links they appear to be made in house. The bbq sauce is ok, I asked for hot and it's not really that at all! I had coleslaw and potato salad as my sides! I believe I'm a coleslaw connoisseur and they have a banging slaw! If you like coleslaw I recommend! I also really liked the potato salad! Overall this is a 4 star spot! I'm glad I know it's here I'll be back!

Came for some bbq on my birthday. This place never disappoints. Got the tri tip beef rib and brisket. Phenomenal bbq.

While the service was friendly & efficient, the food left a lot to be desired. The brisket was fatty to the point of giving me nausea & my partner heartburn. The greens weren't very green-y. I can't believe I'm going to write this, but they are flavored with too much pork. The mac & cheese was heavy. I liked the potato salad & corn best, & they weren't spectacular. Just OK.. We ended up here because I searched for "cornbread." Tommy's doesn't have cornbread either.

BRISKET - Tommy's BBQ is delicious! We discovered our local favorite and wow it was delightful! Hubby and I came on a Saturday night ! It was fairly busy with a few patrons inside. We were greeted immediately and we ordered the one way combo with Brisket, potato salad and Mac n cheese. They also gave us extra bbq and 2slices of white bread . It was delicious and clearly stood out ! Potato Salad was great too. I would pass on the Mac n cheese!! Good ambiance and picnic style seating . Highly recommend and look forward to coming back to try the rest of their menu. Portions were pretty big too .

I like GOOD BBQ!! Grandson playing baseball at Pinole today. I typically hit Yelp to see what's around. I am really happy we chose Tommy's. You walk inside and it's very clean. The soft smell of smoke is present. Young lady at register was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a 2 way with ribs and brisket. BBQ beans and Cole slaw. First bite was a rib. This is the best rib I've had in years. Moist, toothy but soft, nice smoke flavor. The brisket was so moist, nice bark and smoke ring flavor is amazing. I'd order beans again but would try collards next time. I will drive from Vallejo to Tommy's in a heart heat. Entire staff knew their jobs and were very efficient. Ya Gotta Try, Tommy's!!

Ordering online was a breeze and adding to the order in-store was not a problem. Folks working there were very nice, considerate and professional. Restaurant was clean. Food was very good. The " hot" sauce was really rather mild but very well done. Lots of good flavor. My chicken was done just right, son enjoyed his brisket and hubs was satisfied with his pulled pork lunch. Gotta say, beans and coleslaw were very much on point. When we're in the mood for more BBQ, we'll be coming here! Nice to have a quality restaurant in Hercules.

Very impressed with Tommy's BBQ. I ordered the 2 meat, 2 sides plate. I heard some locals say the price was not worth the food/too expensive, so I was pleasantly surprised to see such huge portions! If you were also wondering if this is better than Kinders, I would choose this over Kinders 10000%. $30 was my total but I added $5 for great service and suggestions by the cashier! I ordered the recommended brisket and some ribs with two sides of beans. Both meats were SUPER tender. I think there was about 4 oz of brisket (not pictured, it's under the ribs but they're 5-6 thinly cut slices of brisket about 4 in long) and 3 ribs (pictured). Rib meat was falling off the bone with the slightest tug. Brisket was not dry and cooked to perfection. Taste of each meat were distinct -- sometimes I go to BBQ joints and all the meat tastes the same. BBQ beans are smoky and have a little kick to it which I enjoyed. They have a mild and hot BBQ sauce on the side along with an untoasted piece of Texas Toast (I think). Improvements I'd like to see them make are adding mashed potatoes, yams, and/or cornbread as sides, adding beer to the menu even if it's canned, and do something with the untoasted piece of bread (even just throwing some garlic butter on it would suffice). I was happy there was somewhat of a palate cleaner with the bread, but having a plain piece of bread is kinda random. Also having wet naps available would be a helpful convenience. I would come back here again for sure. Might even have them cater my birthday in the summer.

I've always loved the food from back in the days where they were inside the Assemble restaurant in Richmond. Brisket and Pork Ribs are my jams! Always delicious...without any sauce! Service was quick and easy. Tommy's is open from Wednesday thru Sunday. The eating/restaurant area was full today and EVERYONE looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Had this a couple times now, it's between a 3.5-4 star rating for me. The links are legit, I really liked the links. The brisket I had twice was too fatty for me. The ribs were fall off the bone and tender but lacked flavor, the sauce made up for that, I really like the sauce, sweet with a little kick and not too thick. Get the sauce on the side though, the first time I tried this place I got sauce on the meats and it was too saucy. The Mac n cheese was decent, I really really enjoyed the greens cooked to perfection, that and the links were the highlights. Not a fan of the beans. Overall the place was good not great, it came highly recommended by my clients so I had high expectations. I would eat here again. I would not do the brisket again though. Worth a try.

Brisket approved by this texan bbq snob. Sides are great; nothing fancy. I like the low-key vibe -- feels right to me for a bbq spot. Only nit is that they don't have fresh brewed ice tea but maybe that's just me. I've been here a couple times now and love it.

Got food to-go and it was good! I tried ribs and brisket. They gave us a very generous portion of bbq sauce to go with our food.... So much sauce leftover that we're trying to think of creative ways to use extra bbq sauce. Glad this place came to Hercules! Kinder's got competition now....

VALUE & DELICIOUS! I cannot tell you enough good things about Tommy's barbecue. They are consistently good and never disappoints. Juicy melt in your mouth brisket. They run out of bbq ribs. They surprised us by adding burnt ends without asking for it. They continuously are generous. Love their Cole slaw! They changed their bread from the Texas toast yellow bread to a thicker kind of wonder bread which was AWESOME! I hope they keep the white bread because it's not dry. It's soft and taste good with bbq. The restaurant is small and clean! Nicely decorated. This is our go to bbq in Contra Costa!

A friend recommended this restaurant to us so we decided to give it a try. When you walk in, omg... it smells so good!! We ordered the 3-way combo plate with brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. We enjoyed the food, and I do recommend supporting this small business. The banana pudding cheesecake was good, but wished they had the key lime dessert. Service was good. The person that took our order was very helpful, being our first time there. Do check this establishment out and support small business.

Phenomenal! I tried the three meat plate with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. All the meats had a delicious smokey flavor and were incredibly tender. As for sides, we got the Mac and cheese, greens, potato salad, and beans, all BOMB! Although , what stole the show was the smash burger. I can't wait to go back for another! Inside the restaurant was very organized clean and the staff were very sweet!

Picked up our food to go. Ordered the rib and brisket combo with baked beans & Mac n cheese. The meat was actually really good. I liked the brisket and it was very tender and flavorful. The ribs were good but slightly salty for me and not as tender or Smoky as I was hoping for. Also this is personal preference but I really prefer my sauce on the side so I can taste the bbq in its true form. The sauce was already all over the bbq and as pretty as it looked I didn't really like the flavor. I did not like the sides. They were not horrible but I gave most of the Mac to my toddler and I barely touched the beans. Also they didn't really have anything good to drink other than fountain drinks. It would be nice if they had maybe like a house lemonade or something refreshing to go with their meats. Would order the brisket again but wouldn't get the sauce.

Grab a two item plate for lunch. Got the ribs and brisket along with the Mac and cheese and potato salad. Cost $30 but it was enough food for two meals. Food was good overall. I preferred the ribs over the brisket but both were good. Nothing to make a trip for but good lunch. I would say it has a slight edge over kinders in term of taste and value.

The beef rib and beef brisket were extremely salty and the beef rib tasted like propane gas... or had the flavor reminiscent of a gas grill! No smoke flavor just salty and propane. The pork ribs were ok but I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. This doesn't taste like traditional bbq AT ALL! Two thumbs down I gave a one star rating because the meat WAS tender but TOO SALTY!! I ate the beef over 20 minutes ago and I still have the propane gas taste on my palette.

They've been here a year and I finally tried them! Gotta be the best BBQ in all the Bay (not that I've tried many). Brisket Sandwich comes on a soft & hardy potato bun with freshly crisp slaw. They pile on the meat that pulls part with just a touch and melts in your mouth. Sauce cup is included and all you need is a drizzle to get the bold flavor. Got a side of potato salad and it's up there in my top 5. We also got the 2 meat combo, Ribs & Brisket, 2 sides, & a slice of bread. The Brisket is cut thick, holds up when picked up, but pulls easily apart. The perfectly rendered fat makes for a moist bite of the best Brisket probably in a 200 mile radius. The ribs are meaty spareribs, tender and plenty smokey. No sauce needed, but definitely makes for an even more irresistible bite! Sides of BBQ beans and mac & cheese were good compliments. The BBQ beans are almost like a chili, but cleaner sauce with a smokey sweet & savory BBQ flavor. I could eat them for a meal on their own, but soon would find myself on the moon. The Mac is more cheddar forward and has a nice ratio between the cheese and pasta. Pictures are unnecessary as you definitely will be getting your fix here! By the time you even think of taking photos, it'll all be in your belly :P

First time here, and so glad we tried it! Soon as we walked in we were welcomed in, was informed about there new item the Smash burger and there brisket taco. Everything was delicious Ribs was seasoned well tender and juicy doesn't even need bbq sauce Chicken was juicy as well. Potato salad tasted delicious, and the Greens was great, not a fan of Mac and cheese but there was actually good. The Brisket taco was different but in a good way everything that was on it blended well together the brisket was juicy and seasoned well. Ended our meal with the banana cheesecake rich and creamy.

After passing by this place on my way to Home Depot I gave Tommy's BBQ a try. I had the Mac & Cheese and Coleslaw. I have to admit the sides were good. I definitely love the Mac & Cheese...much better than Panera Beard version. The Coleslaw is alot better compare to having it at KFC. Is Tommy's BBQ a threat to Kinders? I don't see both Tommy's BBQ a threat to Kinders since both serve different BBQ. I check out how they slice the brisket which was marvelous. I am upset that my eating habits has change. Tommy's BBQ is the place to eat at if you want good BBQ

Hi all, finally got to try Tommy's BBQ in Hercules. This is a local bbq shop to me in a town which already has Kinders. I placed a take out order of a two item plate which consisted of ribs, pulled pork, bbq beans, and potato salad. We also ordered a brisket sandwich and a side of macaroni and cheese. We had lunch with some friends who ordered a three item plate (ribs, brisket, pulled pork) and two sides bbq beans and potato salad. We got a chicken nacho as well to share. The food was ready to go by the time we got there about 15 mins later. The shop was open, clean with plenty of seating area. The staff was nice and they offered us some extra bbq sauce. The great: pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken. The bbq beans and potato salad. All these items were delicious and the portions was generous! I was feeling quite full with plenty of leftovers. The ok: the chicken nachos with jalapeños were soggy. I usually chalk this up to the to go container and the item being really hot. We also thought the macaroni n cheese side was nothing to rave about. All in all a great first experience. I definitely think Tommy's has the better bbq than Kinders in town. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious compared too other bbq places, it tasted a lot fresher than most. It was my first time going with my family members and we were all pleased! The service was great and fast, they people were attentive which makes a difference. It is a bit on the pricier side but you are getting a big portion of food, depending on your appetite you could even split a plate.

I remember this place when it was in the Rosie the Riveter location but that was before covid so I couldn't remember how the food was. In any case, I thought I'd go again to see. I ordered the 3 meat platter with ribs, brisket, links, and the sides were mac n cheese, and collard greens. The ribs were very tender but lacking smoke and bbq flavor. I don't think they smoked them only but I could be wrong. The brisket was a little dry except for the fatty part which is a given for brisket. The links were good, nice flavor to them and the bbq sauce was okay. The mac n cheese was lacking some cheese and seasoning. The collard greens were okay, could've used some more seasoning and smoky flavor.

Omg the Greens were delicious! The ribs were great too and with the great Customer service it's a 10/10 highly recommend!

I'm in the middle of eating my food right now and I'm extremely impressed. The brisket is so tender you can pull it apart with barely any force. The meat is super soft and tender on the bite it melts in your mouth. The sides were pretty solid as well, Mac and cheese isn't anything too special but it's tasty and cheesy and pairs nicely with the bbq like Mac and cheese should. The sauce is great too, mildly spicy/hot, smoky, sweet and just goes very well with the seasonings on the meat. though I think next time I'll ask for it on the side so I can appreciate that nice smoke ring on the brisket more. I really wanted to try the ribs so it sucks that they sold out early but maybe next week or next month I'll have the free time to stop by right when they open to pick some up. I hope this place sticks around for awhile, would love to continue coming here to support and have great bbq

First time trying this and the turnout was pretty well. An actual bbq restaurant, there meats are soft and tender. Brisket was not dry but fresh. Ribs had the meat falling off the bone, and sausage links had two different types of flavor. I'm a fan of texas toast but to me this texas toast felt like it had too much batter, thick, and bland without the garlic butter. Mac n cheese was great! The service was organized as a crew. Meat order is placed, one person cuts the meat, the other prepares the meal, and lastly person at cashier handles the orders being taken and hands food to the customer. Quite busy on a Saturday night, although prices are a bit high but the quality of meat matters.

Tommy's BBQ is a welcome addition to Hercules. I had them bookmarked for a long time. I just never got to their popup inside the Assembly Market in Richmond. When I saw the opening soon sign in Hercules I drove by regularly to see if they had opened. All I could think about was BBQ. It seemed to take forever. Every time I have stopped here they have been busy. The last time there were two different food delivery services picking up. Even midday and midweek the restaurant was busy. A big plus is it is easy to park. I peered over the counter to look at all the smoky meats. The brisket looked tasty; brisket is not my favorite cut of beef. I wanted to try the links. When I placed my order I asked if they made the links in-house. They did. I ordered the 1 meat plate with two sides each time I have been here. They now have two different levels of spice in their sauces. The links have the perfect texture. When they are made in-house there is a noticeable difference. I also enjoyed the sides. I have had: corn, potato salad, and coleslaw. I am not much of a fan of beans. However, It did seem that every order that passed me by as I was waiting had beans on the plate. I have enjoyed everything I tried. I am not sure if this will completely replace my favorite spot in Berkeley I have been going there for years. The advantage of that location is a sandwich is just a smaller order, not an actual sandwich. The disadvantage is fewer leftovers.

This is my first time here. Food: the briskets are decent. The pork ribs are much better than the briskets. The garlic corns are salted too generously. The baked beans are so so. The Mac and cheese is ok, and the coleslaw is ok too. Overall, it's a okay meal. Service: it is a go and order spot. There are seats inside the shop. Once you order they will bring your food out to you. The service is on par. Ambiance: family and friends spot.

The tastest thing I ltried was their burger. Very good. I still think about the brisket nachos I ordered last time. Enough for 3 people. Ribs are delicious too. Great service, clean tables, good food.

Insanely perfect brisket. Ribs are super meaty. Flavor of ribs: I have had better, but these are quite good. Chicken is a hard pass- next time double up on brisket. The beans are super delicious with a chile flavor. The slaw was so good! Corn was bad tasted like generic canned corn with a ton of added salt. Bbq sauces are tasty- hot is not too hot. The Texas cut bread tasted stale and tasted a bit moldy. Soda is one size - pretty small, but you can get refills. Seating inside high and low tables and a few tables out side in front too. Servers are outstanding and the most welcoming and caring!

The meats are pretty good. It's not the style of BBQ I'm used to but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The baked potato with brisket was delicious, next time I will either say no beans or light beans though. My girl got the burger and she enjoyed it. The sides here are not popular at my house but I'd def be back to enjoy a baked potato or try some brisket tacos.

Went back cause I had a grab something from Home Depot and been craving bbq.i know my last review of this spot wasn't too great but like I mentioned I like to support small businesses if I can and I like bbq.all I got today was brisket.to my surprise,was very tasty!had the right smog smoke,nicely seasoned (not too salty)and very tender.so to put things into perspective,I ate it when it was cold(room temperature)because I completely forgot about it.will continue to buy bbq from here as life gets too busy for me to cook my own,also with meat being so expensive,I don't wanna smoke a whole brisket cause my family won't eat it

We had food to go. The two way plate was downright tasty with the beef links and plenty of meat on them pork ribs. This $28 meal fed a huge man and his smallish wife with some left to enjoy tonight. This is the first time in 30 years that my wife praised everything about a meal and you earned four stars. Congratulations Tommy. Want that coveted CHAD P. fifth star Tommy? 1) Offer steaming hot cornbread to take your BBQ flavors Pow To The Moon! 2) Get rid of the cashier screen that tries to shame your customers into tipping your company for allowing a customer to purchase a meal to go. Next thing you know the Home Depot cashiers will be expecting tips. smh

Wanted to try a new (to me) bbq place. Decided to check out Tommy's as it's local and seemed on par with other bbq restaurants offering combo plates. In the current economy, $27.99 for a 2 way with 2 sides seems reasonable. Their smoked brisket which seems to be the star of the menu is cooked perfectly; and has a great smoky flavor and is very tender. Wish they offered "burnt ends." I also got their beef links, which were good, but the star is definitely the brisket. BBQ baked beans have a nice kick of spice to them. Collard greens cooked well with a bit of pulled pork sprinkled on top. My one-star off is because I found the mild bbq sauce to be a little too sweet. It could use a little more smokiness or some acid to take the sweetness down a bit. I might try their hot to compare next time. I'm personally a fan of more savory and vinegar kick or N. Carolina mustard based bbq sauce. They give a big piece of Texas toast bread - but not toasted- to sop up any sauce.

I had the two meat two sides combo. I elected to have double order of pork ribs with mild sauce. Inflation has caught up with prices. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of ribs you received but again at a price. I also had mac 'n cheese and potato salad. I think the ribs here are among the best. I especially like the ones with a nice amount of fat. I elected to eat half of my order and save the rest to another time. Two meals make it more bearable. I ate outside. When you arrive you order and wait for it. They had some outdoor entertainment this afternoon. The quality is good.

Tommy's BBQ & Company located in Hercules is one of my new favorite spots. My sister took me and my hubby there for a quick lunch. She has raved about their Brisket sandwich as well as the ribs. All 3 of us decided on the Brisket sandwich along with a side of potato salad and collard greens. The brisket sandwich is served on a potato bun & stacked 3 inches high and it's topped off with a layer of coleslaw. Every single bite was pure heaven with just the right amount of BBQ sauce, the meat is so tender, seasoned to perfection and the crunch of that coleslaw added texture. The potato salad was delicious and the Collars greens were meaty and delicious as well. I would loved those greens on rice. The service was very good and fast. You place your order at the counter and your food is brought to you in dining area which is clean as bright. We were so hungry we didn't take pictures of our food, however there are some good pics already on Yelp. My only regret, I didn't order a rack of pork ribs to take home for dinner. I will be back soon. If you are a brisket lover, this brisket will "knock your socks off". I cant wait to head back to Hercules for more of Tommy's BBQ yumminess!
