Very good sushi. I did enjoyed it. Got the lunch special 3-6pm something about king sushi I forgot the name and they took the menu of special so I couldn’t took a picture. Less than $10 dls and alcohol drink $6.50 very affordable and delicious would come back definitely.

The steak had the best Smokey/ charred flavor that I love. The sauce was perfectly sweet and savory. And the rice was perfectly seasoned. I have been coming here for over 10 years and it’s always delicious. Super quick service as well

Sushi rolls was made very sloppy and the taste was very average. The sushi rice was way too sticky. Appetizer had too much sauce and the yakitori was overcooked. Overall, don’t recommend. Better off buying from Safeway. NOMO TOMO

A lowkey spot in Goodyear with amazing sushi for a great price point!! This time we ordered the Achikochi (crispy sushi rice with spicy tuna and avocado) and it was sooo good. I love to order the Phoenix roll, King Kong, Baked Mussels, Yakitori, and the Chicken Karaage. You can’t go wrong.

Been coming to this location for over 10 years, however the last two visits have forced me to consider looking elsewhere. In speaking to one of the waitstaff, it appears they’ve changed owners again. I’m not sure if this is number three or number four we knew the first two at least and the place was always known for quality. On our most recent visit while the Sushi itself was fine. The rice was hard undercooked and warm. Rolls didn’t taste the same. The quality was off, drinking water tasted off, soda mix was off. I’m sure it could be easily corrected if someone was there who was actually in charge because that was another problem no one seemed to be. Owners in absentia seldom have successful restaurants. Boots on the ground may be in order.

Tonkatsu Ramen was delicious with a wonderful brother and good, chewy noodles. Mango sunrise cocktail was bright and yummy. Service was poor. Asked for lemons with water and they bring me out two slime-covered thin slices. Asked for new ones, preferably cut fresh. Got two more slime covered slices. So gross. Runners delivered my food and drink and so I had to wait until my server came by 10 minutes later to get a straw for my cocktail. On top of that, it was the kind of dark that doesn't add to the ambiance- just makes you feel like they're hiding grimy floors. Low-seated shallow bar so not the sort of place you want to just come have a quick happy hour lunch. Might order the Ramen for takeout going forward, but won't be back for dine-in. Prices were fine and in line with current trends.

Very disappointed after multiple times going there. I don’t know if ownership changed, but the food quality definitely did. The server is amazing, but the chefs are not, to serve food like that, especially for the price. Not okay. Get out together. sesame chicken no sesame, asked for the seeds so I can add, very small even though the picture looks like it’s large. Tatsu totally burnt not good hard to eat. And I wish I got a picture of my daughters Crunch roll with no crunch on it. When is consistency going to show up instead of being disappointed. Another time Had an issue with the staff the week before with rudeness when my daughter tried to get food one evening. It was like they didn't want to serve or work. So she left.

Tomo has consistently been one of my favorite sushi joints for over 20 years. They never disappoint, the have amazing bento box lunch specials, yummy appetizers like the ninja jalapenos, a wide variety of tasty rolls and some of the freshest quality seafood in the whole valley.

Terrible service. The server was so rude.... The food was pretty bad. The rolls were massive in an unappetizing way and the ratio of rice to fish was so off. They also smelled bad. Overall super off putting.

I've been coming to Tomo's for almost 10 years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. The sushi selection is incredible, with fresh, delicious options, and everything is reasonably priced. It's one of my favorite spots! The spicy ninja roll is my favorite

Hamachi Kama was perfect, fresh and moist, not overcooked. We ordered a giant sushi boat, probably the biggest sushi/sashimi order on their menu, and it came in lots of pieces and was decent. Service: they literally just drop the food on our table and took off without looking at us or saying anything. Our giant sushi and sashimi boat was huge, probably the biggest order on the menu. No ginger or wasabi on the boat. We tried to flag down our server, any servers at this point for some ginger and wasabi but the waiter and waitress just buzz right by. My husband had to walked up to the counter to grab ginger and wasabi for our table. Then came the dessert that included in the meal, right when we are still only halfway through our meal. We kindly told them that we are still eating, the fried ice cream will melt by the time we are done. We asked if they can bring it back to us after we finished our meal. The lady server actually rolled her eyes. When we finally were ready for the dessert. The same lady brought it to our table and said we fried you a new one. But then I found Saran Wrap on my dessert, between the ice cream and the batter. Wrapping our dessert is acceptable, but founding a big Saran wrap, the size of a 1/3 of a dollar bill between the ice cream and the dough was not nice. Plus, that Saran Wrap would not have survived the frying machine. Hmmm

I like this place a lot! I love the sake martini drinks and the happy hour prices are great! The wings are so so good and the sushi is fresh, made to order.

Almost didn't write this review because it took 4-5 staff to get me the waitress' name and honestly, I don't know how to spell it. Nee? The bill/receipt didn't say a name, just "cashier". The food was so delicious and fresh. Omg. I'm so satisfied. Whoever worked on that playlist, I couldn't stop dancing. Props cause I could've stayed longer. Anyway, Nee was so sweet and took care of our table well. Checked in on us multiple times. Other staff also came to check on us and helped as needed. Different staff came to drop off plates as well. Props to the entire team for working together to help each party. I live in LA but hope to come back again. @angelepatino

I've been coming to Tomo for a while now since I live nearby, and I've always tried to support local but lately, I've noticed some inconsistencies that have made me reconsider. The food quality has been hit-or-miss. Rolls have been coming out way too large, with the rice-to-fish ratio completely off. I recently ordered a spicy salmon hand roll, and it had barely any rice, just one small piece of cucumber, and a large scoop of salmon that made the whole bite feel off-putting. When I let the waitress know after just one bite I was hoping they'd remove it from the bill, especially since I didn't eat the rest. Instead, they offered a small discount, which honestly rubbed me the wrong way. As someone who has supported this small business for quite a while, it felt dismissive. I get that dining out is a luxury, and I respect that, but I also believe restaurants should hold themselves to a higher standard especially for loyal, returning customers. Tomo has potential, and I know they can deliver great food, but lately it's been inconsistent enough that I'm not in a rush to return.

Attended this location without reservation on Valentine's Day and we got in at the bar perfectly. The place was super busy but we got our food in a decent time and the food was awesome. My kiddo loved the meat on a stick and I enjoyed several sushi rolls. The only problem was it just was not the cleanest at all. I was a bit grossed out when I went to get my purse and all the stuff that was on the ground. I would like to go back on a time when they are not so busy because maybe it will be cleaner?

My family always loves going to Tomo's! The sushi is always fresh and delicious, the drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming. The staff makes you feel like family and the service is always spectacular. They are so accommodating to the picky eaters in my family too. Definitely give this place a try - and happy hour is a great time to go too.

I was planning on giving 3 stars because the service was great until receiving my bill and was overcharged for Sake which I never ordered. When I arrived the place smelled. I almost left but I felt awkward after sitting at the sushi bar so I just went with it. All food items seemed like leftovers. The edamame was cold and soggy when biting into it. The roll which contained shrimp tempura came out in less than 3 minutes and the shrimp was SO soggy like the roll had been pre-made and stuck in the fridge. The spicy tuna on top had a film over it in which you could tell it had been sitting. I did not finish any of my dishes and am very grossed out. Then to be over charged for something I never ordered on top of that is so off putting. Will never be back.

Great food. We ordered sushi rolls, bbq beef, chicken yudon noodles and soft shell crab. Everything was fresh and well made. Service was quick and friendly. It exceeded our expectations. Give it go.

I love Tomos! Regina is a great server. We come in for her service often. My wife and I get the Tokyo roll and share a teriyaki chicken plate. Great music, typically have sports games on, and great environment. Highly recommend!!

The noodle dishes we ordered were very delicious. Half of the Sushi rolls were ok, the other half were less than ok. The waitress was really nice as well as the host . The Saki (hot) was the absolute worst I've ever had . I think ordering Sushi in Phoenix is like ordering in a gas station. This is the third place we've tried . The worst so far , even worse than the T all you can eat .and the rotating place down on Camelback. The service made up for the fake tasting fish. 3 stars is fair . All these 5 stars here make me wonder if these folks have ever had good sushi .

I've been coming here for years. Oddly enough not for the sushi but for the other Japanese fare. They serve consistently delicious food because the food is just as good after all these years. Start off with miso soup and then honestly you can't go wrong with this menu. Their udon, tempura, yakisoba, katsu, and curry are my personal favorites. Don't forget to get mochi ice cream for dessert! The restaurant is tucked away off Dysart. You've probably driven past many times without really seeing it. Plenty of parking. The interior is very date night chic. Dark at all times of day with plenty of cute colorful lights suitable for their happy hour.

I don't know what happened to Tomo's. Did someone steal all their metal forks and the ceramic ramekins??? The rolls we ordered were NOTHING like the pictures in the menu. And they were TOO SPICY to enjoy. I keep saying we won't go back but this experience in the straw tha broke the camel's back. We also brought our own drinks because they only serve Coke Zero as a diet beverage, that stuff is awful! Will not return.

every time I go here, I love it. very consistent food and cocktails. Pooki (bartender) is amazing! Owners are wonderful always around trying to make everyone happy and they do. :)

Terrible Service. Arrived at 9:17 pm was told the kitchen closed at 9:15 pm. Why market your closing time at 10 pm if your kitchen closes at 9:15..? Spoke to the manager and was told that I could wait to place a to go order. Mind you I came out for dinner with my family all the way from Chandler. Also Google maps informs that you close at 10 pm. Other options Sushi Love just down the street we called and spoke to a lady spoke to Andrea which took very good care of us. They made the exception of taking care of us despite there kitchen closing at 9:30pm Not to mention the food is very good I would definitely give this a try.

Delicious and clean sushi! The emerald roll was perfection. We shared two rolls and a chicken dish, which was the perfect amount of food. The matcha sake was tasty! Friendly and quick service. The going rate for sushi in the area, though the chicken dish is a great value. Can't wait to go back.

Good local spot for food and drinks. The wings are soooo good! And the chicken teriyaki is delish!

We came here for a happy hour date night. The prices and food were very good. The ambiance is a little lacking...from the pictures I thought it looked dark and upscale but I was wrong lol. We dressed up and felt a little out of place. Everyone was super casual. But, regardless, we still enjoyed ourselves and the sushi was very good. Cured my craving, that's for sure. We'll come back!

The food was good, their fried rolls are the best. I really loved the Phoenix roll (shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and completely fried), I think it's absolutely the best. I also got salmon nigiri and the pieces of fish are big. The emerald roll was okay, I think there was way too much crab meat and would taste better if there was spicy salmon or tuna inside. The restaurant itself is a bit dark and gloomy, it could definitely use a renovation but it's not run down. The service was excellent, despite it being busy, the employees were always busy and there was never any food left at the window, it went to the tables right as it came out. I just wish they had refilled my water before I finished it all.

Regina was our server and provided fast and helpful service. Regina provided us with amazing recommendations, like the teriyaki chicken. Would come back here for not only the amazing food but our amazing server.

Our server Jeungbing/JB made our dining experience memorable. It was our first time & he recommended a must try appetizer; Achikochi along with the Sashimi Combo. His immediate service & hospitality made our night. Definitely enjoyed eating here & will be back again!

Love this place so much - as do many others!!Definitely make a reservation if you can, they get full fast but if you get a chance, this place is always a 10/10 experience for me :)

Terrible service terrible customer service, not welcoming at all. I had two questions for the host. She told me to direct it to the server, who seem to be the owner. To be honest, I will never ever ever come to this location. I know a lot of people like it for the cheap seafood, but is that really a good idea? Rude customer service, and rude ambience. I don't need it. I'd rather go to Nakama next door. At least they're friend me as soon as I walk in the door I supposed to this place that absolutely has no manners no customer service and not a single smile. No thanks don't waste your time on a cheap place in Arizona that sells seafood.

Price and quality is great here! The sashimi and nigiri pieces are decent sizes and you really get a good moneys worth during happy hour too. The fried rice is seasoned to perfection so yummy!

This is our family favorite! We come to this restaurant at least once a week to get a little taste of home (we are from Guam) and we love our ramen! This is the closest ramen we found to Guam style ramen! But I'm really writing to rave about the service we get there every single time!! We have never had issues or a bad experience! Can't say enough about the restaurant but the real reason we love going back is because of the top tier service we always receive from Jeshua! We can always count on walking into a welcoming restaurant with amazing food and five star service by Jeshua!

Happy hour menu is great and all the food was very good. Might become our new go-to Japanese place!

I got their lunch special of the Tonkotsu Ramen and gyoza. The tonkotsu ramen was really flavorful. I ordered it spicy, which was the right amount of spice. I wish there were more potbelly meat pieces. The gyoza was really crispy. I went in before peak lunch hour so I didn't have to wait long for my food. The staff were great throughout my dining experience. I will definitely go back to try their sushi options.

They have the WORST sushi in Arizona customers service was horrible. The owner of the place has no clue what she's doing. I've even seen that they just leave their chicken and other meat out for HOURS. Do NOT eat here!

Meeting a friend "on the road ", this seemed like a fresh but quick dinner option.Tomo really checked those box's ! Tomo does daily happy hour 3-6'with food and drink for a Special discount price! We got lots of "basic rolls" (Salmon & tuna& yellowtail &Regular & Spicjy California rolls & also Eel/avocado/cucumber roll .the entire selection was very fresh and caused no "indigestion " issues. We thought the miso was especially "rich" & very worth just $2 . Monkey balls were a terrific appetizer that we would recommend!

First time here, the food was a solid 9/10. My server was super cute and sweet lol and all our food came super fast and hot. The vibe is pretty dim but super cute and chill; i went around lunch time and it was a great break from the heat. Definitely going back to take my man here

What a nice place. Dim light that sets a nice mood but not overly romantic. The staff are always wonderful. We order sushi Togo and it was packaged nice and safe. We ordered miso soup with it and again packaging was good so no leaks on the road. The flavors of the sushi were fresh and tasty. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Tomo has such a good happy hour! The sushi always taste fresh and their crispy tuna is to die for! The staff is always super welcoming and the vibes in the restaurant are super family friendly. There is also a bar you can sit at if you want to chill and drink.

Loved the sushi!! We had it for takeout so will have to be back in person dining. The rolls were so great, loved the miso, and loved all the fun selections! We really enjoyed!

The food was delicious!!! We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, it felt comfortable and authentic. Our server's name was Liana, she was so bright and bubbly!! We overstayed our welcome a little but she never once tried to push us out, always making sure we had plenty to drink and plenty to eat. We can't thank Liana enough for the wonderful service! If you're looking for delicious, traditional sushi, Tomo is the way to go! ​

Food is always in large portions, The service is great, ambiance is alright! Our waitress served us real quick, food was was nice and hot! Everything was perfect!

Considering that there are so many Asian food & Sushi places that claim to be the best this truly is one of the best options to explore. The affordability is top notch. I had so much food that there was plenty for leftovers. My friend and I got two full course meals, and appetizer , and dessert for 50 dollars. I loved it! I would only like to say that the garlic not being minced and instead dried like a chip I did not care for.

I really love the food here. It's much more authentic than many of the other sushi restaurants in this area. They have a great selection, great pricing, and most of all, their customer service is SUPERB. Customer service isn't something a kid noticed usually, but even my 8-year old son is enchanted with the staff here. They're friendly and funny, and they go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied. I'm particularly a fan of their sashimi. Fastest cuts of fresh fish in the west valley. I just need to take even more people here!

not a trustworthy company. website and sign on the door states happy hour everyday 3-6 but inside the restaurant decides what days they don't hand out happy hour menus - despite any notice. for example today because it was labor day they stated they were not doing happy hour. makes no sense how a business can market "everyday happy hour" but on their own whim decide not to do it. not trustworthy or accurate advertising. not worth it

We had amazing service, they accommodated our big group (we made a reservation weeks in advance) and the sushi was perfect. It all flowed so seamlessly, I was impressed and had to leave a review. I wish I took pictures of the food but was too busy enjoying it. Golden California (fried roll) was slightly heavy towards the end, shrimp tempura roll was delicious!

Food was ok....service was awful. I would not recommend. We had to remind multiple staff of our missing items more than 3 times. No apologies for the hold up whatsoever. Plus the staff expected you to pass out your own drinks and plates, and to top it off, expected you to reach over the table, over others to hand them the check. And still expect you to pay 20% gratuity for their bad service and errors. Not cool and won't be returning.

In Arizona to celebrate my 65th birthday. I wanted sushi so my wife's cousin Celia said we had to go to Tomas. With the help of our server we ordered the following rolls sashimi and drinks. Smokey Phillie Alaskan Beauty Californian And A plate of sashimi Tuna, yellow tail & salmon. Saki bombs and cocktails. We ate like kings & queens. It was amazing. Food was good, service was better and my 65th birthday won't soon be forgotten. Great job Toma.

Had a great time! The location is easily accessible with plenty of plenty parking. Some of the best ramen I've had and the rice used for the sushi was just the right amount of moist and sticky. The restaurant has a nice and dim atmosphere and music is not too loud. The wait staff was attentive and quick to correct a mistake when I pointed out that my side was forgotten. Will most definitely be back.

Tomos is always a good time. The staff are friendly, food is fresh and delicious. Love all of the sushi roll options and the happy hours appetizer prices are amazing! Highly recommend.
