"The mic may be switched off for now at this karaoke spot in Troy, but the restaurant is still serving steaming bowls of ramen, okonomiyaki, and sushi to-go. Tomo features several different kinds of ramen including staples such as miso, shoyu, and tonkotsu as well as sankai (seafood). Place orders by phone or online through Seamless, Grubhub, Uber Eats, or Doordash." - Eater Staff, Dorothy Hernandez

Delicious food every time with a diverse menu that offers some more of the rarer options. Previously I've had their soba which was delightful and not a dish I often have the opportunity to enjoy. This recent trip we had gyu don, chef choice chirashi, crispy philly roll, and plum and honey hot tea. Good is fresh, great quality and you get a very reasonable amount of food for the price. Always a strong recommendation from me. If you haven't visited Tomo, put it on your list.

Google
Loved everything about this place. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was excellent. We had the seaweed salad, takoyaki, and gyoza for appetizers. For entrees we enjoyed bowls of ramen, the Tonkatsu and the Shoyu. Both were perfect. We also loved that they brought little platters with pickled veggies and kimchi, and a small house salad before serving our food. That was a nice touch to top off the already great service. Loved it. Definitely recommend 10/10.

The katsu curry combo is a really good deal. It comes with the main dish plus a small bowl of udon. With an appetizer, that really is enough for two people and it's very delicious. The takoyaki and okonomiyaki are both great options as well. I usually get an additional couple of sushi rolls (tuna and salmon) which are about average to above average tasting. Overall there's really nothing to complain about, it's a great place to eat at.

Google
Ordered Tamago sushi and some vegetarian rolls. The rolls were definitely on the small size and were very unevenly cut. AAC roll had some asparagus pieces that were really tough and didn't taste good. I would order again for the kanpyo because it's not easy to find but felt like not as much attention to detail was given in the preparation.

Google
Very pleasant experience. The dining room atmosphere is nice. The service was very quick and friendly. The food was great. I got a Salmon bento box, and it was really good. The price was really reasonable too. I loved how the salmon was cooked. The sushi sample was tasty. I will definitely be going back.

This place is surprisingly good. I said surprisingly because people usually wait in line for the bbq next door and Tomo only have few customers. They have big portion for Japanese entree, so the higher price is sort of justify. Sashimi has thick cuts of fish and they gave you a big bowl of rice in your chirashi so probably it can fill 2 people if you don't eat much. Sushi rice you can taste and chew each individual grain. I love it. I don't have problem with service , waitress was very nice and attentive. If you don't want to wait in line for Korean bbq or conveyor sushi, I recommend this place for your Korean / Japanese food cravings

Google
Very good food and large portions. Have only been here during lunch hours and the service is always pleasant and quick. I always order extra to take home since it's a 30+ min drive (1-way.) I recommend.

We’ve been coming to Tomo for 8 years now I think, we did the math the other day. My friend who recently moved back to Japan would really only go here because her mom wouldn’t go anywhere else really- especially if it was for ramen or anything not sushi. It’s amazing! Huge bang for your buck, great food, great service, and so much to try out. Sashimi is what my father gets and loves every single time and insists it’s some of the best he’s had and always consistent. I always get tonkastu here because it amazing and I know I’ll be disappointed if I have it from anywhere else. That said, there can be a little bit of language barrier if you only speak English (which is fine! The servers are amazing!) so special orders may not work out, it’s best order what looks good to you and stick to it (unless allergies of course). I bring friends and family here every time, and every time we all leave happy, full, and planning he next trip. Edit: A few tips! Stack your dishes and place them on the end of the table when you’re done, we’ve done this every time and dishes are picked up as they go by. The servers are not huge on talking, it’s just how it is, I personally don’t mind at all because I come to eat food not have a conversation. Go IN if you can, I’ve never ordered take out from here just cause I always figured the amount of food I’d get with that would be a pain to carry home.

Yelp
Their service here was very friendly and made eating here a great experience. I tried their udon, tonkatsu ramen, and sushi boat (I forgot which one). Udon, 4/5 their udon broth was flavorful, with a nice homey warm soup that will satisfy your stomach. Tonkatsu ramen, 2/5 There ramen broth was watery and did not taste like the rich ramen broth that usually comes with ramen. Also, their noodle texture tasted like it was not cooked properly. Sushi boat,4/5 the sushi overall tasted fresh and well-seasoned. I only give this a 4 because the different rolls were not taste distinct, they tasted similar like eating the same type of roll.

Yelp
Great fast service Mini salad was delicious with this crèmy ginger salad dressing I ordered the Okonomiyaki and it didn't disappoint. The sauce was great. Smooth and creamery sweet.

Beel K.

Yelp
Great service, great sushi, no complaints at all! Super cute spot in the midst of a busy plaza

Jmv Y.

Yelp
We have gluten allergies. We called to ask if they had gluten free options. We asked if some of their items might contain gluten. The response was very rude and un professional. The person on the phone said that they did not know, they would have to check the packages and then, unbelievably said "I'm not going to bother" Whoa! Seriously?? Nuff said. Done with this place for good.

Connie C.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Tomo because the service was great and the women working were so friendly but it will not be my go-to when I am craving ramen. I had the Tatsuta Age (Japanese fried chicken with spicy mayo) and Tonkotsu Ramen. The chicken was delicious and nicely fried. However, the ramen was underwhelming. The pork and egg were overcooked and as the ramen sat, the once bland bone broth became very watercress-y. With Hmart, Aldi, and Vivi Bubble Tea in the same plaza, Tomo is in a convenient location and worth a try if you're in the area.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. It's quiet and of the beaten path a bit but worth the hunt. They have a sweet potato roll that is just amazing. Highly recommend!

Melissa W.

Yelp
Fantastic Japanese curry! It's exactly like I've had in Japan. Their sushi is excellent too.

Tanni D.

Yelp
This is a good Japanese/Korean restaurant. I've been to Tomo twice. Customer service was mediocre the first time but phenomenal the second time. The portions here are large enough to share with two others. The sushi is fresh, and I love the variety in the Pork Bento Box. My 7-year-old niece loves the Spicy Seafood Ramen (Jjamppong)! The Korean Fried Chicken is flavorful, but the meat is dry. Overall, I've enjoyed the food here.

Chris P.

Yelp
Tonkotsu Ramen is not close to a "Japanese ramen". Broth lacks flavor, noodles were over cooked, egg is a standard boiled egg (yellow yolk) instead of the soft boiled (orange) ramen (ajitsuke tamago). This is served on a humongous bowl that's is way too big and unnecessary.

Aaron B.

Yelp
Bento box is good, and they offer lunch pricing. I always come for the tempura; love me some giant pieces of broccoli or sweet potato fried. Ramen is cheap(er) and decent. More traditional with a hard-boiled egg. Katsu has been good, but I'm not always in the mood for it. Sushi is good too! Nice soft rice. The only thing that stops this from being 4 stars is there could be a little more atmosphere, and warmth from the employees... But the main issue, which has been a repeat offense, is the smell. As soon as you walk in there's a chemical smell. And I'm pretty sure it's the mop water they use, it's leaving a disgusting smell. Change your mop heads or throw out the bucket or something, it's gross and immediately makes you not want to eat

Prince F.

Yelp
The food at Tomo was delicious. The menu had a lot of options and the prices were all standard. I wish miso soup was complimentary with every meal but it isn't with ramen. The portion size for the ramen was also large but it was mostly broth. Still delicious!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Welp, just jinxed myself. Use to be my go to since I live close by, but I'm starting to question the freshness of their ingredients. I've ordered many items from their menu throughout the years. Sushi, bento box, ramen, combos... I've tried plenty. Taste has always been quite good, how you feel after is a different story. A friend of mine has gotten food poisoned a few years ago. The last few times that I've been here I've been regretting it afterwards. Most recent experience was about 5 days ago. I ordered some sushi (cali, salmon, and tuna) for a group of 4. 3/4 of us felt sick right after. My first time getting food poisoned. It was definitely the sushi rolls. Not the most pleasant way to start the new year. Was nice having a sushi place (with solid ramen) to go to close by, but I won't be coming back.

Jason S.

Yelp
This by far is the best Japanese and Korean food I've eaten in a long time. I've been to Japan and they are spot on. Service was awesome!

Saphace A.

Yelp
My sisters and mom and I have been in this shopping center before to try the Korean restaurant next door. This time, we came to pick up Japanese food that we had ordered through Grubhub. There were people dining in (super weird thing to do while it's COVID). We ordered lots of food! Pork katsu that came with beef curry, seafood pancake, bento box (salmon, sushi, edamame, tempura), and udon. We also got miso soup which must've came with one of the dishes. Everything was delicious and lasted 2 days for all 4 of us! I'd return!

Matt C.

Yelp
Fantastic local sushi and other yummy treats. Value is good and never had a bad piece of sushi in 5 yeara Hit h mart too!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
You have got to try this place. I can't remember the name of the dishes that I tried since this review is long overdue but trust me you have to eat here. Between my friend and I we had two huge bowls of Ramen, tempura vegetables, and shrimp tempura rolls. When I'm in the area, I will make a point to return to Tomo.

Yelp
I bought a Groupon for this place and we had dinner here tonight - it's pretty cold out so it was a good night for ramen. I had the Shoyu Ramen and my boyfriend had the spicy seafood ramen. We also shared a Dragon roll. To be honest, I liked the sushi more than the ramen, but you get a GIGANTIC portion of ramen ... that being said, I only got about two pieces of pork in mine, and the rest was fish cakes, egg, and an absurd amount of noodles. If you take a look at my photo, they basically give you a LADLE for the soup, which is crazy, haha. We recently tried out Kaizen Ramen in Royal Oak, and we both agreed that we liked it better than Tomo; however, the portions at Kaizen were about half the size. I wasn't sure if I'd like the Dragon roll because I'm not a super adventurous sushi eater, but it was pretty good albeit pricey; I think it was $12.99 for one roll. Waitservice was good and I never had to ask for a water refill. I also liked that they had booths here. I wouldn't rush back to Tomo, but I might stop by another time if I'm in the mood for a huge bowl of ramen.

Laura P.

Yelp
I love Tomo. I first visited back in 2019, right after my sister had moved to Madison Heights, which is when my picture was taken. Then I moved in 2020 and got delivery from there often. I can't think of a single thing I haven't liked there. The portion sizes are great. For delivery, I really like getting the bento boxes for getting a little bit of everything I love, but sushi and katsu are also top favorites of mine. Their gyoza and dipping sauce is to die for. My sister loves the udon and ramen. My roommates were impressed by the vegetarian sushi rolls. Writing this makes me kinda sad that I'm not close enough to order delivery from them anymore.

Yelp
*Karaoke Only Review* IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Though this place is reservation-only for karaoke, we were super lucky to have a 45-minute open room for karaoke. The rooms could easily fit up to 8 people on the couches, so we had plenty of room for our group of 4. I was very surprised to see that their song lists also included Olivia Rodrigo songs and the new Imagine Dragons song since those are newer and trendy songs! There was an amazing list of Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian songs too! Overall, a great experience and we would definitely come back! It was affordable pricing for karaoke with plenty of song choices. No technological issues AND there were frick'n TAMBOURINES in the room!!!! If you need to go Aggretsuko-style karaoke at the end of a busy workday, this is the place to be.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Very underwhelming ramen and pretty terrible service. I came here for ramen and was super excited. There were only two other groups in the restaurant when we went so there were more employees than customers. We all ordered ramen and it was ok... the noodles weren't normal ramen noodles, the broth was fine but not the least bit impressive and the egg... the egg was over cooked anyways... the ramen was SO spicy, which is so yummy but no one brought us waters after dropping off our meals, we were SWEATING. We went to H-Mart after and bought ingredients to make better ramen at home.

Kenneth Z.

Yelp
Has dine-in. Went there mid-March and the social distancing was good. 3 other groups were inside and they put us far away from each other. All staff (including sushi master and chefs) had masks. Got Tomo Bento (Bulgogi) and my family got the Unagi Kabayaki and Ramen. Got Spider roll and Salmon Lover roll (SL roll favorite) We also got Takoyaki for appetizer and it was the best Takoyaki I've ever had in this area. However, they got order wrong the first time--I ordered Bulgogi Tomo Bento but they brought me just Bulgogi and rice (Bento has more stuff and it's in a box). But fortunately, the waitress was very accommodating and fixed our order, giving the accidental Bulgogi for free! I wasn't starving, so a short wait was totally OK. TL;DR--Good environment, socially distant, masks on staff, friendly staff, **good food!**

Sandy L.

Yelp
Came here with my brother during lunch around 12:15pm on Friday. We were served with the carrot salad, typical. As an appetizer we had the Takayama which is always yummy. I ordered the Bulgolgi bento box that had tempura veggies (sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini), 4 pieces of California roll, and potatoes salad. My brother ordered the pork katsu curry with udon. We were very satisfied and full definitely had to get a to go box for my food.

Nicole E.

Yelp
We have been craving sushi all week. We ordered 5 Cali rolls, 2 with cream cheese and green onion added, a house salad (3x), miso soup. So hungry. Cali rolls were yummy. Cream cheese makes any rolls the bomb. Come hungry. The ramens and sobas look so good, but noodles are too heavy for me. Sushi rice is the carb of choice.

Amanda T.

Yelp
Average. Nothing stuck out like omg that was really good. The presentation of sushi was cool and my bowl of udon was HUGE!! There are so many sushi places around that something has to stick out but it didn't. I was nervous going in with leggings and a sweatshirt but I was dressed ok for the establishment. I really wanted ramen but even though they have it on the menu, and they are right next to H Mart the Asian market they don't have it. We got the Las Vegas that had spicy tuna on top, spicy for me but still completely edible. We also got another tempura sushi but I forgot the name. That one was kind of like a California roll but with salmon. I'm addicted to the spicy mayo and eel sauce. YUM! My udon bowl, I actually ordered chicken ramen but again no ramen so I got it with udon. When I got the bowl it was honestly enough for a small army, so the value was excellent. It came with pork belly on top? See the pictures. It was soo good but udon noodles kept falling off my spoon. ( is that what they are called? The little ladle spoons) Overall, I'd go back. It was delicious. Kind of a run of the mill sushi place. Next time the Korean bbq place next store!! The smells when we are walking up smell so delicious.. Like your mouth waters.

Savannah B.

Yelp
Came here the other day for dinner with a friend. We were both in the mood for some ramen and sushi! I got the shoyu ramen for my entree & some raw oysters for appetizer. My friend got the creamy chicken ramen and then we shared a rainbow roll and a crunchy roll. All of the food was so delicious! The ramen came in a huge bowl for only $13! I was shocked by how much we got! The broth was flavored wonderfully and it came with pork, bean sprouts, seaweed, fish cakes & a soft boiled egg. I loved it so much, had to take it home to finish! Great prices and a great staff, everyone was very polite. Will definitely be coming back for more :)

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Grabbed some takeout and as usual, we over ordered. We got the chicken katsu curry, gyu don, the hana roll, and a crunch crunch roll. Sushi was decent but the star of our meal were our entrees. Boyfriend's chicken katsu curry (not pictured) was amazing. I liked how they packed the curry separately to prevent the chicken katsu from getting soggy. The curry was packed with incredible flavor and even had a few pieces of cubed beef in it. My gyu don was exactly what I wanted. It was comforting and delicious. Each bite had enough flavor to keep me wanting more. Both our entrees came with a side of udon noodle soup (broth packed separately to prevent soggy noodles). The side of udon soup was pipping hot and generous in portion. We definitely had leftovers for the next day. In terms of prices, I think they are a bit on the pricier side, but at least the portions are pretty generous.

Sonyvu N.

Yelp
Tomo is usually the place I pick when I'm not sure where to go and just need a sushi/Japanese fix. It's usually a safe choice and they have tons of variety of Japanese and Korean food. The portions are HUGE and you always get extra food with your entrees (e.g you get a side of udon with your katsu don or salad and miso if you order a sushi combo). I never leave Tomo without feeling full! The food quality is pretty average and the service is usually great! They just remodeled so the place looks more updated and inviting. There is a karaoke bar in the back that I have peeked into when I have to walk to the restroom.

Aditi Y.

Yelp
Takoyaki.. where were you all my life! We have this each time we order from here.. they are fried octopus balls in the appetizers section.. a must try from our side.. Apart from that all sushi's are also good.. this has been our go to Japanese takeout all this while

Bernadette B.

Yelp
I've been going to this place for a few years and now the food hasn't disappointed. I like that they have a wide variety in their menu, though I usually stick with ordering some kind of udon and one sushi roll. In this case, I ordered the Haru Udon and spider roll. It was a lot of food, and I was stuffed. The only complaint I have with this place is the service. We were a decent group size with a reservation, and it took over half an hour for a waitress to even approach the table. This seemed to be the exception and not the rule, but when you're hangry, you're hangry.

Rodrigo T.

Yelp
If someone walked up to me and asked, "What's your favorite Japanese food item?" My immediate answer would be Okonimoyaki. Hence whenever I see this appear on a menu, It would be without a doubt that I order this item. A close second would be Takoyaki. Since they have both, I had the server fetch me plus a ramen bowl. The okonomiyaki is really good here, trust me on it. I think when I was ordering it, I could see the excitement from the server that she was about to hook it up with the good stuff. Plus their Takoyaki is the closest thing to what I've had in Japan. Totally gives me flashbacks from all of my trips to and from. The restaurant is really nice. I definitely enjoyed the decor and the openess of the setting. Plus the service was really really good. They took real good care of us. I would totally love to come back. And if we did, I would be totally excited. Thank you so much for reading my report. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Patrick V.

Yelp
When in need come here for some good ramen or udon. Always has new options that they are trying. Also, they have sushi which looks pretty good. I am more of a sashimi type of person so never done their sushi. The service was good but got busy in the restaurant and the servers were running around to keep up. We order some fried gyoza and some takoyaki. Can never go wrong with fried gyoza but the takoyaki seemed a little doughy and not enough octopus. I do not remember what king of ramen I ordered. It was good. Love the broth. The place sell beer, wine and other types of alcohol. Overall, I would recommend this place if you have never tried udon or ramen.

Patricia P.

Yelp
This place has incredible food! First time in a Japanese place so asked the waitress for a recommendation. The curry was insanely delicious. My husband got the bibmpap (spelling is off) and he really enjoyed it. We both ordered the noodle soup with mine over his broth, but both were very nice. Little salad had a dressing that we had never seen before and it was great. Totally felt like I had an authentic meal. We will drive an hour out of our way to go here. Great service !

Ashley Z.

Yelp
I've had my eyes on Tomo for a while, since I saw it was a hot and upcoming restaurant on Yelp, and finally, after many failed attempts to dine there (they're closed on Memorial Day fyi), I finally made it this past weekend! I was SUPER excited to try the ramen, because noods are literally my favorite food group and Troy has been sorely missing a ramen restaurant, so my mom and I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with a little bit of spice, and it was pretty good! The one star is docked from this review, because it wasn't as amazing as I expected. Maybe my hopes were a little high, which is kinda unfair, because I've had some REALLY good ramen (Ichiran still haunts my soul), but for Metro Detroit, it was pretty good! The spice level was perfect. The surprising star of the show was the Fire Cracker roll with shrimp tempura, crab salad, masago, scallions, and spicy mayo. I was BLOWN AWAY by how delicious it was -- the shrimp tempura was so fresh and crispy, the rice a little warm and soft. The whole roll worked in beautiful harmony. It even tasted good a couple hours later from the fridge (I brought some home for my dad, but I couldn't resist eating the leftovers, oops)! Overall, it was a great meal. We both got the Japanese salad with the classic ginger dressing and a seaweed salad as well. Overall, awesome meal!

Cheyenne M.

Yelp
Unfortunately I wasn't able to grab a photo before hand because we were so hungry food was absolutely delicious, we ended up getting spicy tonkatsu ramen, and the spice was just enough, a little spicy for my boyfriend though, even mild, but I love spice so it was perfect for me. Also got a sushi roll and takoyaki which were amazing also. The reason I didn't give five stars is because the water tasted a bit like bleach and when I ordered a soda instead, it tasted a bit off. Otherwise, amazing food, we will continue to come here

Gena T.

Yelp
Ingredients were of poor quality. Service was subpar. Place smells dirty inside.

Alexis N.

Yelp
Delicious food and great customer service. You can't go wrong with any of the sushi options and the Pork Katsu here which is really good and tender.

Nick B.

Yelp
Tomo is one of the best places to eat in downtown Ann Arbor. Excellent sushi and ramen, and while I haven't tried much else, I would trust almost anything they serve based on the handful of meals I have had here. Highly recommended.

Michelle N.

Yelp
You walk in and an employee immediately gets you seated if theres availability. They were so sweet and patient with me. I got the andiamo (monkfish liver) and sashimi plate. Andiamo was a very interesting and new flavor that I've never has before. It was given to me partially thawed, so I guess that they keep it in the freezer until someone orders it. The sashimi was absolutely wonderful, none of the fish were fishie smelling/tasting. They were all smooth and well prepped, the octopus wasn't chewy' and the plate looked delicious. I cant wait to come back and visit.

Lily Z.

Yelp
The last few times I've been here, I have not seen the staff wear masks while coming out. They only put them on once they see a customer... makes you wonder what's going on in the back. Food is mediocre during this lockdown and I feel portions have gotten smaller. Charging $20 for Katsu curry when it's a lunch size makes me not want to come back.

Michelle C.

Yelp
I had a huge craving for some ramen and sushi while I was at Somerset Collection, so my friends and I looked up a sushi restaurant nearby. I heard that they changed names from Tomo to Haru, but I couldn't find a Haru nearby. It's convenient because it's right next to a Korean supermarket called H-Mart, and also because there's a huge parking lot. When I walked in, I was greeted by a hostess. The atmosphere is quite nice and there is a sushi bar on the right. They also provide a place for karaoke if you feel like singing. I ordered a tonkatsu ramen with a deep fried pork cutlet and a soy sauce broth, apparently they have two types of tonkatsu ramen. I also ordered a salmon sushi roll and okonomiyaki. The ramen portion was huge! I only finished half of it and took the rest home. It's topped with bean sprouts, half an egg, seaweed, green onions, etc. The broth was quite nice but a little bit too salty for me. The salmon roll was pretty good and fresh. The seaweed wasn't wrapped all the way so it kind of fell apart as I ate it. Other than that, I enjoyed it. As for the okonomiyaki, I didn't know how it tasted because they forgot my order. I realized halfway through my meal that I had everything besides that. I was a bit disappointed because I was really looking foward to eating it. The service was good, I didn't know who was my waitress though because there were two different ones coming to my table. They were both attentive and refilled my drink when I had about 1/3 of it left. Overall, I would come back if I was around that area again. Hopefully I'll get to try the okonomiyaki next time!

Polish K.

Yelp
Love this place. It was my first time here and I will for sure be coming back regularly. The ramen was delicious- noodles on point, broth tasty and not too salty. I got the salmon sashimi and it was maybe the best I've ever had. So fresh and buttery. Really fair price too. But the dumplings were my favorite part. They're gyoza, and I really love that they give you the option of choosing fried or boiled because I'm a big soft dumpling fan! I also got the green tea and was impressed that it came with a full pot. Some places do this, some only give you a cup. At the end of the meal, the woman in charge (owner? GM? Not sure) came and asked how everything was, and even gave us two coupons for the karaoke room in the back. Really sweet. Will have to check that out next time.

Candice Y.

Yelp
Pretty decent restaurant. Serving is so huge, when the waiter served my food, I literally asked if the ramen was for one person. That bowl of ramen could have easily fed two to three ladies. Anyways, overall a good experience. The waiter noticed that I really liked the side dishes and kept replenishing it. Would go again but definitely order less or share with someone.

Natalie S.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place i've been going here since I was 10 ish never been disappointed. This is probably one of the only restaurants that hasn't made my stomach hurt. I can't get enough of this place. The food is always amazing. Aswell as the service too mt waitresses has always been amazing. I love how the interior is lowkey and a chill vibe (I always go during lunch don't rly know how it's like for dinner)

Reneh G.

Yelp
Haven't been here and three years and had a great experience. Came in around 3pm on a Monday. Our server was very sweet. A different tables food came out first before ours even though we ordered first but we didn't mind and the waitress apologized. Ordered the Cha Su Pork appetizer, Haru Don , and for sushi the Crab Castle, Tornado, and the salmon roll. All were well made. The salmon roll was freaking delicious. The fish was so fresh. Also ordered a bottle of soju, $13. Paired well with the sushi and was very fresh. Everything came to $52, pretty good price was three speciality rolls, some noodles, an appetizer, and a bottle of soju. Our server was so nice that she gave us kimchi and daikon radish to eat with the pork! Will be back very soon!

Yelp
Best sweet shrimp nigiri I have tried so far! Love how they fry the shrimp head too! Delicious! Very first time I went there, I had the spicy tuna salad I believe and I did not enjoy it, no flavor the tuna was mushy, I was hoping for diced tuna. Though now, I would go to this place for other things! I forgot what it is called but they have this eel dish and it is so good! I only had their simple udon but the udon is yummy, it's simple. I only had katsu curry from this place and I dig it. I still come here. Though it took me a bit to come back here after the first time I was here. I love this place now. Oh they have karaoke too! Sadly they don't have the fried whole fish no more. I really wanted to try it! I bet it was delicious!

Yelp
This place was actually so good! I bought a groupon and dined in (precorona) and it was a great deal! They had a bunch of combo sushi options that were inexpensive for 2-3rolls. The service was fine and the quality was really good for the sushi and their menu was large and had Korean options. I would come back with a Groupon again for sure!

Yelp
I should've known this entire shopping plaza was a red flag when I got to hmart and realized there wasn't a food court inside. Apparently I not only manage to attract men with red flags, I also manage to attract restaurants with red flags. I have truly attained new heights during my two years in this freezing cold state. I came here with my friend; the only reason why we ate here was because there wasn't a food court inside the hmart. When we walked in, everything was fine. However, the menu was unclear because my friend wanted to order the sushi combo, but she couldn't choose her sushi rolls even though the menu sounded like she could. The menu was almost as confusing as my computer architecture exam last year that I got a 52 on. The waitress asked if we were ready but we weren't and asked for more time, so she stood there looking at us for a while until she slowly walked away. Later she came back and took our order. I ordered the curry rice which sounded good on paper, but I was thoroughly disappointed when the dish arrived. The curry was very salty; if I wanted to eat salt blocks I would've gone to Kroger and bought a bag of salt myself. In addition, there were barely any vegetables in the curry. There were only 4 pieces of carrot. This restaurant is as stingy as the Chipotle on State St with guacamole! My friend paid $9 for her sushi roll which consisted of 8 tiny pieces of sushi. Also, the sushi was lukewarm. Lukewarm sushi is guaranteed salmonella and probably would've failed multiple health inspections. The kimchi was mediocre at best and the side dishes were minimal and not very good. It took a long time for the waitress to give us our checks and my friend ended up walking up to her and giving her our cards because she never came to pick them up. It was quite funny when she asked if I wanted a box for my curry (spoiler: I said no). Overall, the service was average, the food was underwhelming, and the entire experience could've been a lot better.

Yelp
Perfect lunch spot for sushi + ramen if you're in the Troy area! I always come here for lunch.. and I love it. They have good sushi and ramen!! They've changed the menu multiple times, but I've been coming since they opened a few years ago, the food is still the same and still good. The sushi chefs and staff is very friendly!!

Yelp
The best place Korean food and SASHIMI in town. Quality best with very good price. Recommend. Love it!
