Tomo Tomo

Located inside a food court, tried their soy ramen on a rainy day. Ordered online and picked it up with no problems. The ramen was good but the broth was a bit salty for my taste. They packaged their ramen to go nicely, broth at the bottom of the bowl and the ramen noodle and toppings on a separate container to mix when ready to eat.

We thought the food was good. The broth of my soup was very flavorful. Everyone loved what they ordered and we would come again. Upstairs is a better place to take the food to eat.

Great spot for a quick bite to eat. I got the cold summer tan tan ramen noodles. Great service, fast and really tasty! Will definitely go back the next time I’m in the area 🧡

I got the gyu-don (beef rice bowl). It came with red ginger and scallions. Food was good enough for grab and go. Nothing to brag about. I wanted to get the ramen, but takeout ramen is no good. Food was pre-made. Could use more dashi since they gave me so much rice. Beef was overly done and dry. I paid a little over $15. Not worth. It's 80% rice. Toppings cost extra, and for gyu-don, it's just not worth the extra cash. I would only eat here if you're in a rush.

Gyudon is AMAZING, super juicy and authentic- probably the closest I’ve gotten to a classic Yoshinoya or Sukiya bowl in the US. Huge portions and they also weren’t stingy with the beef. (Onigiri is… meh, karaage had a weird gaminess to it but it was still passable)

Food was good. Got the tonkotsu ramen. Good flavor broth, nice chewy noodles and packed separately from soup for take out. Only strike was that the broth was a little too salty to consume on it's own (for my taste), but good with the noodles. Karaage chicken was really good, lots of flavor and good batter. Midtown prices, decent food, good quality. Also gets busy during the lunch hour rush.

New outpost of Tabetomo in East village! The dipping ramen (tsukemen) is just as tasty as their original location, but this one has riceball options too! Love the new Urbanspace food hall that this is a part of as well - always plenty of seating upstairs.

Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious and the staff were super nice and really happy. I'm sorry I was wrong and they were awesome to deal with. My heart goes out to them for the thoughtful response they gave me. Highly recommended

As a big fan of TabeTomo, I was excited to see TomoTomo in the food court we are in. I stopped by around 8 PM on a Wednesday evening and it seemed like everything was closing up but we were still able to put in our order. I got a tonkatsu tsukeman. Flavor was great and the noodles were cooked very well. The only thing I wish is that the flavor of the broth could have been stronger and be a little bit richer like it is at Tabetomo. I also got a side of gyoza which was nice and a good app. All in all, a great choice if you are in the food court.

Spicy salmon pokèbowl was amazing!! I would absolutely return and try something new. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and eager for me to try the food. The ambiance was great, it's located in the urban space food hall and there's a very dynamic social scene. Shoutout to the guy behind the counter who I was chatting with. Ordered Vegetarian Ramen Food: very salty and not very comforting. Felt gross and bloated after. Not many options. Limited menu. Service : fast orders so good for lunch pickup Ambiance: meant for to go so it's not really known for ambiance. Chaotic feeling.

The tonkatsu is top notch. It is authentic and so good and the food court overal if just a great place to stop. The seating area is roomy and it's a unique place to stop by and eat!

The tsukemen (dip ramen) here is great too! We usually save the broth, cook more noodles, and enjoy again! Easy to order online and pick up, but usually ordering there takes abt 10 minutes.

First time coming here, it's located inside the urban space food hall and I spotted a ramen shop so I came here to try it out. I was looking through the menu and I was having trouble deciding what I wanted to eat, so the manager named Lee recommended me to either get miso or tonokatsu ramen. I let him decide for me and it was absolutely delicious. The broth had such a rich taste in it, and the pork belly was amazing. The chili powder balanced everything out. I love my ramen spicy and it was soo good. It's get crowded here especially in their lunch hours. But the wait is worth it honestly. I definitely would come back and recommend everyone to try! If you are having a craving must try ramen spot. Noodles were really fresh too. Very friendly people who worked there. The serving portion makes it worth it even more. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Will be back soon!

Located inside the Urban Space food hall, you'll find Tomotomo, sister restaurant to TabeTomo. It is a take out restaurant so you'll be able to grab and go if you happen to be craving ramen for lunch. You have the option of getting their tsukemen (dipping ramen where soup and noodles are separate) or ramen. My friend and I opted for the tonkatsu tsukemen as their seafood one was sold out (they only sell 50 bowls a day). The broth was rich and balanced out with a slight touch of vinegar that cut through some of the fat from the pork broth. Noodles were cooked perfectly - I would advise you to start dipping your noodles into the broth right away so that the noodles don't start to harden too much! Perfect amount of broth to noodles but if you have leftover broth (which you deff will) you can always order an extra serving of noodles. Like to add some spice to your food? Definitely get their chili powder ($1) to spice things up! We ordered extra porkbelly, chili powder, and eggs to our noodles! It's definitely worth making your ramen/tsukemen a combo! I'd recommend their pork bun or karaage! While it doesn't have the perks of the hot stone to heat up your soup when it gets cold, Tomotomo is the faster take out version so that you can take it to go and eat in the comfort of your office or home. Will be back soon!

Very good 'fast' food type of ramen and rice bowl. Surprisingly hearty and tasty soup. Different than other ramen that it has a bit of tangy salty combo which I really enjoyed. Rice bowl wasn't anything to write home about but ramen def made up for it.

Excellent tonkatsu ramen in an otherwise lackluster food hall! Excellent broth, nice and rich, very good pork and perfectly cooked, well packaged noodles. Piping hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend - by far the best option in the urban space food hall.

Enjoyed the ramen greatly at this place. We stopped in after flying into town and were staying at a local hotel nearby. The broth was rich and flavorful and the noodles were fresh and had a nice bite. Only ding'ed a star for two reasons: 1) The partially runny egg that I ordered was slightly overcooked and whereas it was soft, it didn't run into the soup as I'd hoped. 2) On a more physical level (vs. taste/food) the seating left something to be desired. We were able to sit outside only because we ordered beer from the local vendor there who "controls" all the outdoor seating. Otherwise we'd have to eat upstairs or somewhere else. Less than ideal. Also would have loved to have been asked if we were eating in or to go. It was assumed to-go and it created a lot of waste when there were clearly bowls and spoons we could have used instead of deep covered paper/plastic containers. Overall meal was enjoyable and would recommend. Just scout out your seating and ask for 'eat in' if you know you're going to.

Super friendly guy working behind the counter recommended his favorite dish, the Cold TanTan (pork mince with Japanese chilli). I am glad I gave it a try! Though the dish is prepared cold, the savory and spicy broth truly warmed my heart. The noodles were chewy and each strand was magically coated in the delicious broth. Location is a bit pricey, but that's what you get for quality and corporate Midtown.

It was past 2:30 down midtown Manhattan and hunger started to set in. Wanted something not too heavy but warm and soupy. Ahh, ramen would hit the spot. Yelp and maps brought me here to the Urbanspace for Tomo Tomo ramen. Urbabspace is sort of a hipster food court, but I was intrigued by the choices here. I opted for the tonkatsu ramen with char siu. Noodles were perfectly cooked, great toppings ( seasoned bamboo shoots and diced scallions), dashi was hot and tasty. Hit the spot goodness! Lots of seats upstairs by the way. Itadakemasu!

Was excited to see if this place would prove me wrong about take-away ramen... but it reconfirmed for me that ramen/ tsukemen should only be eaten at a dine-in restaurant. While TomoTomo does a good job of making their noods just chewy enough even in a take-away container, I was disappointed by the broth's flavor (way too salty, no depth) and the broth's temperature (cold to room temp). There was a surprising amount of pork belly (80% fat tho) that came complimentary with the seafood tsukemen, but not much else besides a few small pieces of bamboo. You can order additional toppings like an egg for an additional fee.

I've been waiting for TomoTomo to open ever since I tried their sister restaurant TabeTomo in East Village. Though there are no hot stones at this location, it's a great option for lunch if you work in the area or takeout on your way home. They've packaged their takeout tsukemen in stacked bowls so you have less containers to carry and everything still stays warm. They also have some new menu items that I hadn't seen at TabeTomo. I ordered the crab croquette and the gyu don (beef rice bowl) to try something new. Crab croquette was great! Beware it's VERY HOT inside, even if you wait for it to seemingly cool. Perhaps that's why they served it to me in a huge takeout bowl, so I could cut it open...but otherwise wish the container wasn't wasted on one single croquette. The gyu don was super flavorful and much more FILLING than it lets on. If you were curious about their new seafood ramen, they were sold out by dinner time, so get there for lunch to try it.

Had the tsukamen delivered this time. Still quite disappointed with the quality. The noodle portion is huge which is great but when it arrived most of them are sticking together, had to use a bigger bowl to break apart to be able to pick up to dip. The broth tho is not thick enough, doesn't stick with the noodle well, in the end will have a lot of soup left. Topping only comes with egg, pork, a tiny bit spinach and some bean sprouts at the bottom of the soup. I was disappointed at how little topping it comes with and the water down broth, tsukamen usually needs to be thicker but when I dip it the noodle doesn't not grab much flavor on

So glad to have found this place! It's located inside the Urban Market housed in a much larger business building. The Urban Market is composed of 9-10 food stalls in an inside eating area. Communal tables and group seating are found in the perimeters. Looks like most of the population are working professionals in a rush! We ordered 2 Tonkotsu ramen bowls with a soft boiled egg in both. Total came out to be $33 including tax, which is a bit pricey, but it's New York. They had a few options as to what broth (tonkotsu, veggie, seafood) we wanted and a noodle choice. I was a bit confused reading the menu since "toppings" such as chasu, spicy seasoning, seaweed, bamboo shoots were additional $2-3 each and it seemed like a standard bowl only had noodles and nothing else. But later I found that each standard bowl with no extras already comes with 2 pieces of chasu, a handful of bamboo shoots, and green onions. You really don't need to order any extras if you're trying to be super minimal! This ramen though is still on the expensive side though, and can easily be up to $18-20 per bowl. Though we dined in they gave us the bowls to-go. Their packaging is awesome, the noodles & broth are STACKED cups that fit inside each other so you don't have to carry multiple cartons! Overall portions are fair. It definitely fills you up and is served piping hot. The flavor was rich and good, but I definitely wish we had a spicier option that wouldn't cost extra, like some complimentary chili oil. Final rating is 4/5! I enjoyed the ramen, it was a good experience, and the ambience was awesome, but I wish there were a few more options when it comes to specialty ramen, or at least a free alternative to varying the spice level without increasing your bill. Would visit again!

Was contemplating the different options at the Urbanspace W52 location and decided to try tomotomo since I've never had tsukemen before. No regrets at all - the tsukemen tonkatsu broth was hot and so damn flavorful, both the crab and the corn croquette had a perfect crisp, and the noodles had a good chewiness to it. Apparently this is the sister location of TabeTomo, which I'll definitely be looking to hit in the future.

Ordered ahead and it was 15 minutes early! Great service and yummy food. Highly recommend their house special broth.

I remember reading somewhere that Tomo Tomo has a location in East Village and opened here. Something like that. Anyway if you see a Japanese person in line with you that ought to mean this place is solid. Urbanspace is crowded during lunch as always. I would say I waited approx 20 min from when I got on line to getting my food. I read reviews of people trying so hard to make it in time for seafood but it ran out. That's why I decided to order seafood ramen instead of the original tonkotsu. When I ordered at 12:25 there was still seafood...gud I also got gyoza as a side because it's only $2.5 more in the combo and I was craving it yesterday. Idk why I had the idea that gyoza is less filling than karaage. Appreciate how all ramen comes with pork belly, bamboo shoot, spinach, and finely chopped scallion. Packaging I appreciate how they use a separate container for the broth and the ramen+toppings. The "dry" container sits on top of broth container under the same lid. This is good for space saving and preventing noodles from getting soggy. It also provides enough empty space to reassemble the ramen. The problem with this is how the broth sloshed on the bottom of the dry container. When I took out the dry container, I didn't realize how the bottom was wet. Good thing I placed it on the paper bag so it wasn't too messy for me. The outside of the bowl was also oily which was an unpleasant feeling when taking out from the paper bag. Broth The seafood broth was the thick type. I like how it clings to the ramen. The portion they give vs the amount of food and the size of the paper bowl work out in a way that the broth exactly reaches the top of the food. It has an obvious dashi base. The rest of the thickness probably comes from the pork. I'm not sure what else is there. When it said seafood I was hoping for more obvious sweetness whether from fish, shrimp, clams, etc. Also note that even though I commuted less than ten minutes after picking up my order, the broth was lukewarm when I ate it. A thin film formed in this short timeframe too which did help insulate a bit. It's also a good sign of how concentrated this broth is. Noodles It's thin and wavy, very smooth and strong egg flavor, chewy. This is probably my favorite type of ramen. The only complaint is with how it comes out after bringing it back. It sits as a cake kinda shape in the container. I had trouble loosening the ramen disk within the broth. Blame it on the wooden chopsticks lol. Regardless they did a good job in cooking it at a consistency that won't be too soggy by the time you eat it (not immediately) Toppings I didn't get additional toppings nor do I think I need it. Surprised I saw a lotta ppl add tho. Pork belly - too fatty. It's like 80% fat. I don't even know how to describe the flavor because all I had was chunky fat. Good thing the fat was the solid type and not mushy type. The spinach was a bit too mushy and oxided but understandable. Appreciate the addition. Bamboo shoots were over taken by the broth so no comment. Gyoza I was craving it the day before and voila I'm getting it the next day. Jk I didn't come just for the gyoza. I noticed that they have prepackaged gyoza ready to be cooked. They're in trays of 15 or something. I wonder if they buy it or it's made in some centralized kitchen. Anyway they're not memorable. Lunch combo comes with 4 pieces. There's one nicely brown pan fried side. It's not crunchy anymore by the time I eat it but I won't blame anyone. Otherwise the texture of the skin is soft, not mushy. The sauce that comes with it actually tastes like a liquidifed hoisin sauce or a thin version of what's given with cheung fun. The brightness is nice to give some character to the gyoza. Service Although the line for ordering and picking up food got long, the cashier tried to get as far as possible in the line to get people's order. At the food prep counter there's this Japanese guy who does the bagging and handing out orders. I'm wondering if he's the owner. Anyway he was super energetic and thankful when handing out orders. He'd say "[Name] here is your order of [food], thank you so much for coming!" I also noticed when they move from touching food to touching other things they'd change gloves I was happily and surprisingly full with the combo but I probably would be satisfied with just the ramen. I can try tonkotsu any other day...and I probably will. I'm more interested in going to their sit down location. Regardless this is a very solid place but it's small things added up that make it not 5*.

I mostly come here for the Veg (Vegan) ramen. The broth is very flavorful, it has good fresh veggies, I really like the lotus. The noodles are standard ramen noodles. I add some chili powder to it and it's just perfect. I prefer it over the bone broth ramens. Good stuff.

Was super excited to try this place after seeing all the great reviews. However, I was left disappointed. I got the original seafood ramen here that comes with slices of chashu and bamboo shoots. Overall, it's an ok bowl of ramen but everything is just too salty! The soup is very flavorful but heavy. The bamboo shoots are extremely salty and I could barely finish them.

I had two Omsubi - pork and chicken. Good price and good taste. I like how they blend the meat, sauce, and rice before forming the patty.

Loved it! In town for business when I happen to find this great Ramen Place. All the ingredients are fresh, and the food is delicious. The gentleman tending Tomo Tomo was courteous and efficient, he both cooked the great food I had and was tending the cashier, and had my meal quickly. I had the Karaage Don, the Takoyaki Balls, and the Tonkatsu Ramen; and I look forward to trying out more next time I am in town.

Located in the UrbanSpace food court on West 52nd Street. This place is a hidden gem, I didn't even know there was a food hall here! My coworker and I ordered the gyudon, tsukemen dipping ramen, and both types of croquette (corn and crab). Overall, very affordable and quite the bang for your buck for Manhattan prices. Our orders came out to $30, so $15 per a person, which is pretty cheap compared to the other ramen spots in the area. Food: Tsukemen was quite yummy and flavorful. Not too salty as well since it's a dipping noodle. Gyudon was just alright. Still yummy but doesn't wow me. I highly recommend the dipping noodle though! The croquettes were nice and crispy. Although, my coworker and I both preferred the corn flavored one. A solid 4/5 Overall, I recommend coming here for a quick, affordable, and delicious lunch. It does get quite busy but there are plentiful seats available if you choose to dine in the food hall. I arrived around 12:30pm, peak lunch hours, and there was still open seating.

Delicious! Great ramen, the broth is fantastic but the soy braised bamboo is out of this world. Great lunch grab!

The Miso Ramen here is really good~! One of a kind! Me and my gf get to try it earlier today at lunch and it was the best! 10/10

It is a little surprising to find Ramen this good in a food court. With the many choices at UrbanSpace; the unassuming TomoTomo could be the best option on the menu. Authentic is a word that does not often describe a food stand in a corporate setting. It fits here, right down to the over cordial staff members to greet you for your order.

Legendary! Chasu was fully flavored, and the soft boiled egg was just right to balance the flavor, makin' ya wanna nom nom nom nom nom nom Gyoza was also definitely top in Gotham!! 叉燒和湯底都超入味的、讚讚讚！

Second outpost of Chef Tomo's East Village gem. It's been open a week and half and I've already been 6 times. The menu here, despite being in an UrbanSpace, is absolutely enormous! 5 different varieties of ramen and their specialty tsukemen - each different and as tasty as the next. You'll have to come back often to try each one. I'll be back a ton and am so thankful they now have a location in midtown.

TomoTomo is the sister location of TabeTomo -- we've heard great things and decided to try it out. Tsukemen is one of my favorites, and there are so few places in NYC that serve it. We ordered the ramen and tsukemen, and both were delicious! The tsukemen broth was really flavorful, and the whole package comes in a special stacked container that keeps the noodles and broth separate so the noodles stay fresh and perfectly chewy. Everything tasted great and I'd recommend getting the extra egg! Pork buns and karaage were also delicious. There are lots of food stalls in Urban Market so it's easy to pair with beer and/or other snacks if you swing by for dinner. The fact that TomoTomo is in a food hall also makes the experience super fast if you're doing take-out or are looking for a quick meal. Also a lot of upstairs seating. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our ramen. It was my first time trying Japanese ramen. I loved the simplicity of the choices, meat in the ramen was delicious. All the family was fed. My twelve year olds enjoyed this cuisine as well

The perfect way to satisfy your mid-day (or any time of day) ramen or tsukemen craving! TomoTomo is the real deal. The seafood broth was rich and delicious, the pork belly flavorful, the noodles perfectly textured. Perhaps the best part is that Chef Tomo himself was behind the counter when I visited, prepping orders and making sure even the container lids were tightly in place. I could tell he was a perfectionist, which is maybe not the best trait for a boyfriend but EXACTLY what I want in a chef. Side note, I think the tsukemen containers they use are genius! TomoTomo is convenient for carry-out, or to eat upstairs. No matter where you eat it, don't make my rookie mistake of not taking a photo first. You will want to look back on this incredible meal!

I'm so stoked TabeTomo opened up a location in midtown. This spot is perfect for work lunches and they make sure your dining experience is the same as being at their location in east village! Noodles and broth come in two separate bowls, and just like the original, the broth is rich and flavorful! The new seafood broth is amazing, but is made in limited quantities...so arrive before the lunch rush to snag it up! Can't wait to go back and try out everything else on the menu!

This establishment is located inside the urban space for everyone who is looking for it. I got the breakfast combo which for 6 dollars, you get two seaweed rice balls, and a miso soup! The Karaage was marinated properly and gave an excellent compliment to the seasame and seaweed. The chashu was somewhat cut into smaller pieces so it had a different flavor than expected. Still filling! The miso soup, be warned, is instant mix.

One of my new favorite go-to places when I crave Tsukemen and ramen. The broth is flavorful, noodles are delicious, pork and toppings are high quality, with a good portion, just as their sister restaurant Tabetomo in East Village. My recent favorite dish is the Crab Croquette Dish and Classic Cold Tan Tan with their special Japanese chili. I couldn't get enough~ Highly recommend it!

Pretty good ramen but not better than others. Expensive for the fast take out stall and food hall atmosphere. I paid 30 something bucks for one bowl of Ramen and 3 pieces of Gyoza that I ate out of plastic Togo containers.

Just tried TomoTomo after hearing about its connection to TabeTomo in the East Village! I was pleasantly surprised to find TomoTomo was offering a variety of broths. I decided to try the seafood broth and it delivered, the flavor profile is different from TabeTomo's signature broth, but just as rich and flavorful. I'm definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu and I'm really glad to have this place close to where I work in Midtown.

Had a meeting in Midtown so I dropped into TomoTomo with a friend for a quick dinner. Wasn't expecting much because it is in a food hall and not the part of town for amazing food, but was very pleasantly surprised. Quality broth and noodles which always seem to be hit or miss with ramen restaurants. I haven't been to the sister restaurant but will definitely be trying to go soon. Really excited to see where these guys take this concept.

Starting off by saying, I was super excited to be one of the first to check out the new tomotomo! I've been following the updates via TabeTomo and was pumped when they finally opened this week. Tomotomo is the perfect fit for the nyc food hall and the ramen matches that of its older sister spot. Enjoyed the ramen here even more than I thought possible!

The first location's amazing and so is this one ! Get the milk tea it's delicious The other menu item that's really good is the seafood ramen. I also had the karaage and liked it

Had such a delicious lunch here that I find myself daydreaming about it and I can't wait to go back. The ramen, tsukemen, dumplings and bao buns were the best I've had to date. The amount of flavor in each bite was spectacular. Definitely need to try the TabeTomo now.

This is my favorite place to eat in Midtown! You HAVE to try their Gyu Don. So freaking good! They have really quick service, and the food is super fresh. The packing is very well done, so you're good to bring the food up to the seating area upstairs or to your desk if you're busy! Prices are great-- such a good value for what you get! Unlike all the other places in W52 UrbanSpace, you feel FULL after paying $10. I'm so happy I found this place, will definitely go back!

When I found out that this was a spin off of Tabetomo in East Village, I knew it was going to be good. And it did not disappoint! Great takeout experience, the way they deal with tsukemen in sectioned containers was pretty smart. I personally prefer the normal tonkatsu over the seafood, but that's up to preference. You can also make a combo with the karaage for a great deal.
