A South Memphis standard since the 1980s, Tom’s is beloved for smoky rib tips, sandwiches, and the show-stopping smoked bologna—familiar to fans of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It’s unpretentious, generous, and unmistakably local.

I ordered the chopped chicken plate with potato salad, deviled eggs and baked beans. I also Got the sweet potato pie. The chopped chicken was good.l they just put too much sauce on it. The potato salad and deviled eggs were just ok……the beans had so much pepper that I couldn’t even taste the baked beans. My mouth was on fire 🔥 from the pepper. I think pieces of brisket were in there as well. The sweet potato pie was horrible! I prefer my pie crust a little more browned but overall the taste was bad!!!! Too much vanilla flavor and I couldn’t tell if it was pumpkin or something else but definitely not sweet potatoes 🍠. I spent $25 and was very disappointed. I am a truck driver and was passing through next time I’ll just pass by!

Google
The short ribs were my favorite. Grilled to perfection and very tender. The BBQsauces are average, didn't taste extraordinary. The brisket was average too, it was tendered and mashed. However it barely had somke in it. Same with the other beff options, It needed more Smoky taste. Prices are affordable

Great bbq! See it on diners drive-ins and dives. The bake beans are amazing. Good food and nice service.

Didn't let the looks of the building or the location deter you from trying one of Guy Fieri's favorite BBQ restaurants in Memphis. There were no customers the day we went, but it was also a rainy, stormy day. The owner came around and explained the menu to us. We had pulled pork shoulder with deviled eggs, a pulled pork sandwich, rib tips with potato salad and greens, and a turkey leg. It cost a little over $80.00 All the food was hot and delicious. The turkey leg was huge and the meat slid right off the bone. Amazing.

Google
So I went in today. I ordered the jumbo sandwich plate with double seasoned fries. We sat down. My coworker order the same sandwich but got fries and spaghetti. The food was really good! They brought it out to our table. All in all the experience was really good. Maybe there were some AC issues. It was a little warm but not super hot. We did sit by a fan the had oscillating. I will be back. It is worth stopping by!

Google
The owner, Adam, was very kind and answered all of our questions. Everyone was very polite. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but don’t let that stop you. The food and service is excellent. I loved the deviled eggs. We ordered rib tips, spare ribs, and beef short ribs. It was all amazing, but our favorite was the beef ribs. They were so juicy and flavorful.

Google
Owner was present as he has been every time I've ever gone. He's taking time to express appreciation for our patronage. His staff was polite as always. And the quantity of food is quite satisfactory. The quality more importantly wa's good. I brought a friend who had never eaten there before and he enjoyed it.

Some of the shadiest-looking places can be the most surprising. This place was a perfect example. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the beef ribs, and they were cooked to perfection—so tender the meat just fell off the bone. They offer a variety of sauces, which were all good; however, I honestly felt the ribs needed no sauce whatsoever. We chose two excellent side dishes: the coleslaw and the barbecue beans, which were probably the best I've ever eaten. And you can't forget about dessert! I ordered the strawberry shortcake and was not disappointed. Looking forward to seeing you in Miami Beach for the food festival!

Yelp
Never had Memphis bbq so we were super excited to try this place that's been on triple D Also, my rating might be a little biased due to spending lots of time in TX Owner was extremely nice, ambiance felt homey Staff was attentive Pretty slow when we got there, not many patrons as it was mid afternoon but the two customers that were there looked happy eating their meals Sandwich was severely dry, but a GREAT portion size, the thing was huge. They def didn't skimp on the protein so I give them that. Next time I'll just put a lot more of their spicy bbq sauce on it Disappointed in the sandwich, & didn't get the onions/pickles I asked for but the chopped chicken, & sausage were pretty good Coleslaw was surprisingly pretty good as well But their spicy bbq sauce was GREAT!!! will definitely be back to try their ribs this time

Yelp
I have to start by acknowledging the incredible hospitality at this establishment! The entire staff made the experience truly memorable--I felt like I was at a family BBQ. As a Texan and a BBQ lover, my rating of 3 might be a bit biased. I also believe they could have easily earned a 4 or 5 if I had visited earlier in the day. I stopped by about an hour before closing and ordered the Riblet Plate with baked beans and mac and cheese, adding a 1/4 lb of brisket on the side. The baked beans had a bit more black pepper than I typically prefer, but once mixed with the mild BBQ sauce, they were a home run. The mac and cheese was well-executed in terms of texture and cheese ratio, though I personally prefer a creamier consistency. The riblet was slightly dry but still flavorful--I suspect this was due to the time of day. However, I sampled a piece of the baby back ribs, and they were fall-off-the-bone tender and absolutely delicious, reinforcing my belief that freshness plays a big role here. My dinner mate had the sweet potatoes and couldn't stop raving about them. I'll definitely give this place another try the next time I visit Memphis! BTW: the grill master is also an excellent singer

Yelp
Out of over 35 rib joints we tried on our crawl this place ranked number 1 in my eyes and a few others from the group. We tried the meat ribs. Smoked for almost 18 hours and fall off the bone delicious. The pork ribs again fell right off the bone. We had the bologna sandwich. Very simple, but tasty as well. The shredded brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. The banana pudding was one of the lightest we had. Three cookies on top and a few bananas inside. Flavorful pudding. More bananas inside would have been nice. The owners were super friendly and even took a photo with the group. We will definitely return here on our next trip to Memphis.

Yelp
Best BBQ! The pork ribs fall off the bone. The beef ribs fall off the bone. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Was thrilled to eat here as the beef and chicken were rumored to be halal and this is an established place for memphis bbq. Wasted $30 in ubers to come here and find it CLOSED during business hours.

Yelp
Ok, so I was leaving Memphis and my flight was showing 90 minute delay... i didn't want to travel too far (since I was already near the airport)... I began scouring Yelp. I came across a bunch of different places with varying reviews. I finally settled on Tom's Barbeque. The tldr is I'm so glad to have enjoyed my meal here. It's in what seemed to be a local working class neighborhood. I'll be honest, as I was driving there I second guessed where I was going. I pulled up to the parking lot and sat there a couple minutes further contemplating if it was a good idea. I don't know the area, maybe I was just overthinking it and there was no reason to be apprehensive(?) I eventually went in and it's a cool little building. I was warmly greeted and had a nice brief chat with the folks behind the counter. I didn't see exactly what I was looking for on the menu...so I finally just asked him for what I wanted to see if it was an option. He said no problem and got me hooked up. I have to say, it was the best pulled pork I've ever had. The combination of flavor and texture was out of this world. I seek out barbecue places all across the country, and I can definitely say this was the best pulled pork I've had. I got a side of mac & cheese, which by appearance I didn't think I would love. It looked a little little bit like nacho cheese sauce... but much like this place, don't judge a book by its cover and take a bite. The mac & cheese was awesome. When I was done eating, I had the chance to chat with them for a few more minutes. Awesome folks, very welcoming and a pleasure to meet them. Next time I'm in town, I will certainly go back. The quality of food here was far better than any of the touristy, bougie barbecue places I've been in Memphis. As a side note incase anyone is bored and still reading this... just because your flight shows delayed by 90 mins doesn't mean it will stay that way. As I was pulling up to the airport, I got a notification it was only going to be a 15 minute delay (not 90 like the prior notification said). My first reaction was UPSET, like darn, I'm gonna miss this flight. My next thought was "oh well, I already know that Tom's is open tomorrow :) " ended up making the flight, but if I hadn't, I would've certainly come back for another awesome meal the next day!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find Halal BBQ options in Memphis. I called ahead to arrange an order for pickup on my way to the airport. Tom's BBQ is conveniently located nearby. I ordered beef brisket and smoked sausage. Everything was wrapped and ready to go when I arrived. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The brisket and smoked sausage were perfect.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am not a pork lover. since moving to Memphis... all I come across is bbq and fried chicken (no shade). Also, I must admit- I haven't been wowed by bbq here. Anywho.... I have a weird obsession with the gristle on certain types of ribs.... So, I was advised to try some rib tips. Since this restaurant had so many good reviews I decided to give them a try. I'm glad it did. The gristle (don't judge me) on the tips were so tasty and super crunchy! My only complaint is I felt I had more bone than tips (GRISTLE). I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back to try something different or maybe for more rib tips...

Yelp
Had to do a day trip to Memphis over the weekend and as always, no trip to Memphis is complete without BBQ. Rather than going to one of the more tourist centered BBQ places, I decided to venture out and find where the locals ate. This is how I ended up at Tom's. To level your expectations, this is hole in the wall restaurant. You will be eating BBQ in a room without AC and cleaning up after yourself. The staff will "lovingly" yell at you for your order number when it's ready for pick-up. You will also eat the BEST BBQ in your life. I got the rip tibs platter. The rib tips were absolutely incredible with a charred, spice outside and tangy bbq sauce. The coleslaw and potato salad were also incredible additions with each one having a unique, homemade taste. The whole plate with a drink cost me $15, which was also an incredible deal. This trip made me fall in love with Tom's. I will be back during my next Memphis trip!

Yelp
Literally the BEST BBQ I had while visiting Memphis. I ate there 2 days in a row it was THAT good. Day 1 we had their pulled pork and chopped chicken catered for a work event. Too bad I didn't snap photo of it then. The Chopped Chicken was AMAZING. I liked it better than the pulled pork! So moist and perfectly seasoned. I could eat it all day! 2nd day I drove there for lunch. Service was out of this world. I wanted to try everything basically but would have to order quantities that were available. The workers looked at me like GURL THAT NOT ON THE MENU. But Tom, sweet sweet Tom...my Meat Angel stepped in and and HOOKED IT UP!!! Rib Tips, fried Bologna, Turkey Leg, and more pulled pork. I think I died and went to heaven. Rib tips and turkey leg were my favorite (besides the chopped chicken). That dry rub on the rib tips?! Amazing. Turkey leg? Awesome smoke flavor and fell right of the gd bone. Ambience is truly authentic, lots of open seating, very clean. Save yourself the other recommendations and just eat here every single day.

Yelp
I am so glad I got to stop in at Toms and get lunch! It was awesome. Friendly staff and getting to meet a really cool guy who I imagined was Tom. Oh and the BBQ - Smoked chicken, ribs just falling off the bone, Brisket and delicious sides! When in Memphis ya gotta eat here!

Jayda G.

Yelp
The food was ok. Small dinning area. Air conditioning is needed at the dinning area by the main entrances.

Denise B.

Yelp
Amazing food! Very delicious! Can't wait to return with family! The ribs and brisket is delicious!

Yelp
Adam smokes everything and everything is so good from BBQ to wings to bologna. Perfect

Yelp
I loved this place! Adam was very welcoming and helpful when it came to making decisions on what to order. I will be back!

Yelp
Tom's is the only place to get bbq on a consistently superior level. I used to work at Memphis International airport and we ate there a lot. Adam used to the owner and the ambassador of customer service. The man doesn't know the definition of "stranger". Never had a bad meal and I've tried most of the menu. Next time I drive up from the Mississippi coast, I'm going down memory lane and visiting Adam and staff at Tom's BBQ!!!

Yelp
We chose this place after watching Season 3 Episode 9 of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. It was a tough decision because all of the places looked great. I'm glad we chose Tom's. I dont know why but the bologna was my favorite. The owner was there and it was really neat meeting him after watching the episode 3-4 times. He let us try the Rib Tips too. The experience was all around really great. Another place that Guy Fieri recommended and it didn't let us down !

Yelp
Good flavorful BBQ. Got the pork bbq sandwich and a jumbo brisket sandwich. Both good and moist. Sauce is good. Order at the counter and get your food at another counter. Seating is self serve. People are nice and helpful. Place is definitely off the beaten path unless you're a trucker or work in the area which is southeast Shelby County. Neighborhood consists mainly of trucking and industrial businesses.

Mateen I.

Yelp
Halal bbq at its finest I come from Alabama just to get this. Amazing food, amazing service, great people. Make sure to support them. I'm a big fan of the beef ribs and beef volcano fries but they don't miss on anything
google avatar

Calvin L.

Yelp
Pretty good bbq, brisket sandwich was hearty and stuffed full of brisket, not sure if you can order with or without the sauce, I ordered with sauce which was tangy and flavorful. I thought the brisket presented very, very well however the taste was more roast beef than brisket, it lacked caramelization, burnt ends and a deep Smokey flavor, still a good hearty sandwich for the price, it may depend on if you like sliced burnt end brisket or shredded which is what this establishment serves.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
Looked permanently closed, because it was. Teachable moment, if there are no recent reviews, you may be wasting resources to drive there.

Yelp
The food was so tasty. I got the rib tips, the spaghetti and the macaroni and cheese. Super good. The service was great very attentive, and very nice. The ambience was cool.

Yelp
Been here quite a few times..Been to Memphis a lot! Great place for BBQ. If your a person that don't really mess with pork this is your place...Greens are decent and so is the Max n cheese.. By far the best Beef ribs I've ever had. Decent brisket but the worst chicken wings I've ever had in my life but they looked good tho.

Yelp
Heard about this spot from the Food Network so we had to stop while on our road trip to New Orleans. I order almost one of everything! Ribs Tips favor was very good but were very meaty. Smoked sausage is pretty good but salty. St Louis ribs were good and real seasoned Bologna sandwich was a NO GO. Baked beans were not good as well. Which goes for all the side...not good at all. Fried Catfish was VERY greasy but it was good. Brisket was extremely good. I had the nachos with brisket and it was the best thing I order by far. The volcano fries were a hit also! With pulled pork and brisket. Separately BBQ sauce the one bright spot. Sauce was very good Staff was friendly. There is ABSOLUTELY NO social distance at all. No mask required so that was a minus. Probably wouldn't revisit

Yelp
The Good: The service was fast. The Bad: Food, cleanliness, eating area. Tom's BBQ has left Flavor Town. I've been going to Tom's for about twenty (20) years, but haven't been in the last five (5) due to a job change. I decided to go today (3 July 2024) because I have not been in awhile. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich. When it came the bottom bun was soaked in vinegar from the slaw and the top bun was soaked in BBQ sauce. There were chunks of fat in the BBQ - about 1/3 of the BBQ was chunks of fat. I ordered pork ribs with potato salad and cole slaw. The cole slaw wasn't bad. The potato salad was typical lower end food service product. But what you go for, ie the BBQ, wasn't good either. On the plus side the ribs were cooked pretty close to the proper "doneness". But there was almost no flavor - no smoke, no seasoning - it tasted like unseasoned oven roasted pork. I did finish the roast pork, but threw away about half of the sides; and my wife threw away about 1/3 of her sandwich It was pretty close to a 100*F day in Memphis - and there was NO air conditioning in the eating areas (the cooking/order area had working A/C). And while Toms has never been the cleanest place - the eating areas were worse than usual. Overall, it was an awful experience. I will not be back, and can't recommend anyone to ever go there. I was later taking to the friend who introduced me to the place, and he said it was terrible the last time he went there a few months ago (and he isn't going back either).
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
This spot is a winner! You walk in and you instantly get a comfortable, homey feeling. The staff is friendly and helpful. COVID-19 protocols are enforced here. The restaurant is clean, there is space between the tables. You can dine in or takeout. I had the beef brisket platter, with mac and cheese, and french fries. I also had a small cup of banana pudding for desert. Everything was pretty good. Everything is made on site. This restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy Fieri paid a visit. Cash/Credit and Debit are accepted here.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
I have driven by this location a few times and today it was right around lunch time so I figured that it would be the perfect time to try this place. First, you can't help but notice the sign is a huge testament to the fact that Guy Fieri and "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" had visited this location. Other than this sign, the place looks, well, the polite way would be to call it is to describe it as a humble establishment (lesser kind descriptions would say it leaned towards the "dive" part of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives"). However, barbecue is not supposed to be fancy and the food should be the ultimate test of a barbecue joint. This food is very good. I ordered a jumbo pork sandwich plate (which cones with two sides and a drink) for just under eleven dollars. For my sides, I went with greens and potato salad. The greens were not too amazing, honestly, they were not very good at all, but the pork and the potato salad were both excellent. The ordering process is simple. You go in, irder, pay and they hand you your food. The only difference between a to go order and a dine in order is that they give you a tray if you are eating in their somewhat ramshacke room with several tables. This is what a barbecue place shoukd be about. Great food in a setting that can be called humble by some, divey by others. But I am confident that they will all describe the food as excellent.

Yelp
Last review several years back was wonderful - back ten years ago would recommend to my out of town friends that wanted to sample "Memphis BBQ - no more. Service - only several customers there in what should have been their famous lunch rush hour back in the day and I would not very few mistakes in their ordering system of writing on the bag for the food. So no one behind me and I give this order - Counter help wrote this order on bag - jumbo beef combo with fries after I requested one jumbo pork shoulder sandwich with an extra BBQ sauce along with one large spaghetti. Shining moment was the cashier was able to sort things out. Maybe if when the counter help is writing the order on the bag he should read it back to the customer? Food - Jumbo pork sandwich I got has about one half the thickness of meat on the sandwich as I used to get there. Spaghetti may not have been fresh-used to love it, sweet with some BBQ flavor. Now it is tart almost sour - with a strange aftertaste. And the tips were wonderful - only option on the menu now is if you purchase the tip platter for about $19.00. Used to just buy it by wt. Enough warning - out.

Yelp
Tom's BBQ was a mouthwatering revelation! Tender, smoky meats, rich sauces, and a true BBQ paradise. A must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts!

Yelp
Twice we've been to or through Memphis and went out of our way for this spot! Fantastic barbeque and we'll be back any time we're in the area. If you're in Memphis, don't sleep on this spot - it's worth going to. Staff was super nice, quick service. Just remembering the last time we were there is making me crave it all over again!

Yelp
Very nice restaurant in Memphis, as soon as I got inside walking to the register I already knew I was not going to be disappointed, they had pictures all over the wall so I already knew it's a popular meet up spot, I ordered the beef baby back ribs with corn on the side, the wait was actually not that bad and the food was great they definitely give you a lot of meat I was just pissed I did not ask for more Barbecue sauce but I was satisfied regardless.

Yelp
12/26/19 Visiting Memphis means trying authentic southern BBQ. I researched Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives and found that Tom's BBQ was not only near me (while I visited Graceland) but also open in the early afternoon. The place really is a dive. They also have the best spare ribs I have ever had in my life. The flavor and texture were perfect as was the BBQ sauce on top of it. I only had a plastic spork and didn't even need it. The ribs just melted off the bone. For my 2 sides I ordered Mac n Cheese, and Cole slaw. The sides were also perfect in flavor and texture. I had sweet tea to drink to complete the experience. Prices are reasonable. I am still dreaming about those ribs...wish I could have them again now...

Yarom L.

Yelp
Awesome. Best bbq on our Tennessee bbq crawl. Beef ribs pork ribs n bologna etc. Absolutely great. And owners are super nice

Yelp
My group went to this restaurant based on a local brother's suggestion. He said they sold halal barbeque. Halal barb-q in South who heard of such?!? So we were definitely on board with trying this place out. It's located in an industrial type of area. The parking lot is kind of tight, so if you have a large SUV be forewarned. There are about 10 to 15 ac units around the building, but it seemed none of them were working. If you are looking for a 5 star clean joint, this is not the place. This is a hole in wall which I dont have a issue with as lot as the food is good and the service is ok. The owners are Muslim, and they asured us that the halal items are not cooked or handled with the swine... Yes, they sell Pork.. So be forewarned. The hamburger I order was a 2/5 . A processed freezer patty that was a little too salty. The brisket with coleslaw on the sandwich and fries 3.5/5. The fries were hot and delicious. The brisket was tender and hot. The coleslaw was just right ,not to sweet or overly creamy. The price vs portion ratio just didn't match up. A little too expensive for the amount of what you get, especially for a hole in the wall. Side note: if you drive South about 2 or 3 blocks from the restaurant , you will be in the state of Mississippi.

Yelp
I was in Memphis for management training. On our lunch break we stayed close to the facility. Luckily Tom's was a short drive. It was on the list of suggested lunch places from our company. It is where I first got to taste and fall in love with pulled pork. Lots of great menu choices. I got the pulled pork nachos with jalapeño. It was tough with all their choices, but I usually gravitate towards nachos. They were featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and they are not afraid to promote it. Definitely stop in here for lunch if you are in Memphis.

Yelp
BBQ was great-- met the owner Tom, very nice Got the Brisket, cold slaw & beans--Tom hook us up with Rib Tips & bbq bologna We were visiting from New Orleans---his BBQ was off the Chain Sorry Adam--thank for your hospitality---the food was great

Yelp
I'm so glad we decided to have BBQ while in Memphis and I'm even happier we chose Tom's. First off everyone is so friendly and the owner was engaging and you can tell he cares about the food and his customers. I like my BBQ charred. So I decided to try the rib tips as I read they were like beef jerky but also moist and that was accurate. So much flavor in the seasoning and the sauce. This was probably the best BBQ I've ever had. My wife had the ribs and they had so much meat on the bone, again the seasoning was spot on. My son had the BBQ nachos and said they were the best he's ever had. If you are in Memphis you must stop here for BBQ!

Yelp
Best rib tips you will ever eat in your life!!! Great Sauces and sides! Fresh lite bread on top and spaghetti as a side!!! Also Tropical Punch Kool-Aid on tap!! Say whaaaat????

Yelp
The BBQ was on point! Came here with family due to hearing about this place on DDD. When you get here you feel like it was originally a shack that was built around as it got more popular. Either way, the food was good. I got the brisket sandwich with fries and it was great! The host was so happy for us out of towners come in that he gave us some riblets on the house. Very nice of him as they were delicious! When around, make sure you give it a try.
google avatar

Yelp
So the obvious, it is hot as hell in here. They need about four more window A/C units. The ribs were great. Probably some of the best I have had. The pork chop was OVER cooked. I could barley chew it and gave up after the second small bite. Reminded me of tuff beef jerky. Corn on the cob could use some butter on it. Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy. For $31 I expected a lot a better experience.

Yelp
First time to Memphis and just had some bbq from here. We just went to yelp and looked up good bbq places and Tom's is where we ended up going. So glad we did! So damn good! We tried a bit of everything, rib tips, catfish, chicken, pulled pork as well as the green beans, Mac and cheese, turnip greens, and potato salad. It was amazing! So good I didn't want to stop eating (even though my body wanted me too haha). We are only in town a few days, but we are already trying to find a time to go back. Also, the staff was great. 10/10 for sure!

Yelp
Being from out of town and wanting good BBQ I figured I would give the place a try. I was not blown away by the sides however the chopped brisket was good. The big thing for me was the value for what you got, $24 for a drink, sammich, fries, and mac n cheese is a little pricey for what you get. IMO there are other places in town where you can get great tasting BBQ and better portions for your money. For me I doubt I will be back.

Harry L.

Yelp
I stopped by while in town for a wedding and had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. This place is an absolute gem for anyone looking for delicious BBQ, especially for those looking for halal options. Upon asking, I was told they have 100% halal meats and sides. I've never had beef baby back ribs before and had to try them. The ribs were so tender/juicy on the inside and well-charred on the outside. Everything fell off the bone and we had 0 leftovers. We also got the beef brisket which came in a pulled form. It was very tender but not greasy at all. It paired perfectly with the cole slaw (also very yummy) in a sandwich. We got to sample both the mild and spicy BBQ sauces and they were both amazing on their own and especially when slathered on the meats. Even the corn on the cob was tender, easy to eat, and flavorful. All the portions were very generous and we were stuffed to the brim by the end. The staff was attentive, courteous, and friendly. As newcomers, we were given helpful meat and portion recommendations. We came in on a cold/rainy January afternoon and they had warm and clean seating indoors. Also, they do open on Mondays despite what Google Maps says. We are so happy to have found this place and will be travelling back to Tennessee for their halal beef baby back ribs and brisket and to sample the other items on their extensive menu.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff. Adam the owner is a great guy! I came with a large group and we were all impressed with what we ordered. The spare ribs are great, and I was told the catfish sandwich was the best they had ever tried! Fun dive atmosphere with authentic Memphis BBQ, you must try it!

Yelp
Well, it's not much to look at. As a matter of fact, don't look. Just close your eyes and go in. Walk thru the funky dining room, go down the stairs to an even funkier part. Don't worry. They got the MEATS!!! I ordered Baby Back ribs, potato salad and baked beans. Also a TURKEY LEG!! THE FOOD: Tried the baked beans..well done, tasty, sweet, hearty. Done right. Tried the potato salad. Very good. A little sweet for me, but good flavor. Potatoes just right. I didnt eat more than a fork full of these because those baby backs were staring at me!! The baby backs were meaty, a little fatty, but fall off the bone, tasty. The sauce is a sweet, thick addition of flavor. The ribs stand by themselves, but the sauce adds good flavor. The Turkey Leg... I've had many, many turkey legs from across the country, at fairs and fests and pubs and joints, and homemade, and this one was THE BEST!! Smoked to perfection which made the meat pink. PINK! You could see the flavor on the meat at first glance. I picked it up by the end and EVERYTHING fell off. Meat, tendons, the knob at the top. It just fell apart. I could just pick up pieces with my fingers and dip it in sauce. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The owner was very friendly, and greeted me like an old friend. The employees were friendly and I enjoyed my time here. CAUTION: You will be a messy mess. My hands, face and wrists were covered with sauce and meat juice. After wiping down, I still had to wash up in the washroom.

Yelp
One of the top barbecue restaurants in Memphis. It's a great place to eat. Thank you.

Yelp
Fist time here...quickly became my new favorite spot when visiting Memphis. Not recommending this place (lol), telling you to make it a point to get here. Brisket sandwich was excellent! Save room for the warmed Sweet Potato Pie, it was ridiculously good. Mr. Adam, thank you! We will see you again...and yes, I highly recommend your restaurant.

Yelp
Very disappointed, asked for rib tips and got rib Letts. they were old and over cooked. Would've taken them back but drive wasn't worth it. So the search continues for some decent rib tips.
