"A Royal Oak staple, Tom’s Oyster Bar has served seafood since 1994. Through a few chef changes, one thing has remained the same: the commitment to quality seafood in a town in a casual atmosphere. This spots serves for Chesapeake Bay oysters raw for $1.50 each or $2.50 in Rockefeller form. When to Order: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; $1.50 raw oysters and $2.50 Rockefeller oysters" - Mickey Lyons

Our server Emoni(I think I spelled it wrong) was amazing. She was very informative about the menu. She was always asking if we needed anything and kept our water glasses filled. When the food came out, I was a little disappointed that the fried oysters were not hot, but they were still delicious. The Rockefeller Oysters had more bacon and cheese than oyster. You can never go wrong with a tequila shot . The passion fruit margarita I would not recommend. The seafood jambalaya was spicy, but there wasn't enough sausage or shrimp in the order for the prices they are charging. Overall, I would definitely go back.

We went here for a pre-holiday dinner and it hit the spot. It's cozy inside and there were multiple holiday cocktails available. The rotating chef special menu was outstanding. I had scallops which melted in my mouth. The Rockefeller oysters were exactly what I was expecting! Highly recommend making a reservation on open table to ensure you get a table.

Visited Tom's Oyster Bar for their Lobster Lover Menu. This is available for the month of February. I tried the Love Potion #9 cocktail - it comes with dry ice so it is very pretty when served and it is sweet, so a very lovely drink to start the meal with. Oysters are always served fresh here and a must order if you are dining in! We tried the Lobster sushi roll, and lobster roll, I actually lik the sushi roll better thanks to the spicy sauce so I recommend going with that to share if you only want one. The Surf and Turf is a big portion, fresh Maine Lobster which was the star of this dish. The Sirloin steak was alright but frankly I ordered this for the Lobster, which I really enjoyed. The Lobster Tacos we tried was great too and another dish I would recommend. We also ordered the Lobster and Waffles Tower, not quite a true dessert, but it came with hot honey to pour over and it just works as a whole with the waffles and fried lobster+shrimp. Overall, if you want an OTT dish that dazzles and tastes great, order this!

Google
Tom's Oyster Bar offers an excellent surf & turf experience, and the service was above and beyond. The atmosphere is also great. Don't forget to try their amazing key lime pie for dessert! Highly recommend!

Google
Stopped in for Lobster Lovers and received amazing food and service! Our server, Lacey, and the managers went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dinner. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Google
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Service is always good and so is the food. I love their bourbon cheesecake(which I get for free every year for my birthday) lol. The whitefish was a little bland so I added salt and lemon and it was good after. Tried oysters for the first time and they were great! If you check in on here you’ll get a free oyster. The atmosphere is always fun and friendly! I visit about 3-4 times a year.

Oysters 🦪 and Anthony are just 2 of the exceptional elements that make Tom’s Oyster Bar stand out! The bartender/server- Anthony consistently delivers unparalleled service with a warm smile and a pleasant demeanor. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that each of my carry-out orders is accurate & satisfying. He epitomizes the essence of what a bartender/server should be!!! But the pleasures don't stop there; these oysters are a culinary marvel. They're fresh, succulent, & expertly shucked, capturing the essence of the sea with every bite. Paired with Anthony's unmatched service, they create a harmonious blend of flavors that linger long after the final sip & slurp. Give them a try!

Super tasty food with the most incredible staff. Thank you so much to my waiter John who was so kind and attentive. The lobster lover menu was incredible and I highly recommend.

Yelp
I came in and there were two empty tables for 2 which sat empty until I left and had to sit at the bar. Luckily I did because I received terrific service from Ionia. She is terrific. The 5 of the 6 oysters were excellent and I was surprised since even the ones I had on the Chesapeake weren't that good. The Lobster ravioli had a wonderful sauce and vegetable though I couldn't taste the seafood. I enjoyed the meal and will go back and order something different. I thought the service was great. The bar is very very loud.

Yelp
Tom's Oyster bar has been on my to-try list for years, and I finally made it there yesterday! We had a reservation at 6:30 (we made the reservation a few hours beforehand) and we were able to be seated right away. We ate on the patio, which is a small area between the sidewalk and the street, which is a bit loud, but great for people watching and enjoying the weather. The menu is only front and back, but they have a lot packed on there! We asked our waitress for some recommendations, and everything she mentioned sounded amazing. For my meal, I ended up starting with oysters. I chose the blue point, chesapeake, and the malpeque--all were very good! And for my main, I had the lobster roll which was fresh and flavorful. I had a great time here! Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable, the food was tasty, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was nice and welcoming. With such an expansive menu, we'll definitely have to come back to try something new!

Yelp
We've been to this place several times so this review encompass our many visits. The ambiance is loud. This isn't some place I would take a date or for a romantic dinner. We've sat at pretty much every table and it isn't any quieter anywhere. Now you could sit in the front window which is somewhat better. That way you won't have drunk patrons at the bar bumping you in the back of your head with their butts. The food is pretty good. Oysters and lobster corn dogs and lobster bisque are a must. They had really good chicken piccata. I didn't see it on the menu this last time though. Their Power grain salad I enjoyed as well. This last time, I had the crab cakes with mashed potatoes, sweet corn relish and a side of balsamic Brussel sprouts. All was very good. The only issue I had, is the crab cakes were over cooked and had a slight burnt taste to them. Our server, Kim was a delight and made some great suggestions and was always attentive, even with the chaos of the numerous people who were there that evening. I would say this is a better place for a lunch date rather than for dinner. Plus, it's much less expensive at lunch as well.

Travis B.

Yelp
I used to love this place but the food seems to get less interesting and quality is just not what I remember. The service was very good. I had the mussels, they were good, not great. They don't come with a bread for dipping which is a little annoying. My husband loved the clam chowder and that was the best thing we had. My daughter thought the seafood po'boy was ok. Not great. The coleslaw is dry and an afterthought. The worst thing by far was the paella. The shrimp were on the dish and seemed to be leftover from shrimp cocktail. They were not hot and looked like they had been boiled and just put on top. This was definitely a disappointment.

Loletha B.

Yelp
Food and service always amazing and delicious. Oysters always fresh and great quality. Service is always friendly and welcoming. It's like you've known everyone for years. Always clean even the kitchen. We never pay much attention to pricing, everything ordered is always good so prices really don't matter.

Michelle W.

Yelp
After hearing mixed reviews on this restaurant I decided to give it a try myself. The restaurant is small on the inside with some outdoor seating. Once seated our very kind waitress Kim quickly took down our drink orders and food. The drinks were not very good and tasted watered down. I tried the clam chowder and it was very good lots of flavor. Then came my lobster roll. It was not good at all. It tasted like imitation lobster with mayo. No flavor at all! Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing because my friends enjoyed their food. I will come back because I do want to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
At Toms Oyster Bar, my boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick bite and some drinks. I had 7 amazing oysters, while my boyfriend opted for the house salad. The salad, however, left something to be desired. It seemed quite basic, consisting of whole cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and assorted veggies on a plate with a side of ranch. I couldn't help but feel that it lacked some finesse - perhaps if the vegetables had been cut more thoughtfully and the tomatoes were a bit too mushy for my liking. On the contrary, the oysters were absolutely fantastic, and I'm already looking forward to the next opportunity to have them again. What truly elevated our experience, though, was our exceptional server, Tyreek. He went above and beyond, addressing all our questions and making our visit truly memorable.

Yelp
While I normally love what I get, scallops since I was there for lunch, I got a cup of lobster bisque and tried their sushi by ordering the volcano roll calmed down. While the lobster bisque was good, the sushi was a big mistake. Instead of the fried shrimp rolled in it, but covering it. I didn't even eat the half I took home. Others with me enjoyed theirs, I learned my lesson. The service was even a little slow because the server had too many tables and there were empty tables mid day lunch. I will come back again but not until the spring and I will just get my usual.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Great experience from the moment we walked in. Excellent service! We had the spinach artichoke dip, fish and chips, and the dynamite shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious and plentiful.

Jamie G.

Yelp
Amazing meal at Tom's Oyster Bar. We had Kim as a waitress and we did not want for anything. She gave us all the recommendations and suggestions and they were all spot on and delicious. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night. But not too loud, and while the seating is close together, all of our neighbors were very friendly. The food was beyond amazing. We started with Berried Treasure and the cucumber tom collins and ordered the lobster fries and oysters. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. We had the bourbon scallops and shrimp tacos for a main course, and the scallops were huge, but incredibly tender. The shrimp tacos were also delicious.

Renee J.

Yelp
Stopped in afternoon. Ordered glass of merlot and bowl of lobster bisque $11. It had a few lobster bits on top of bisque. It was very thick soup, but lacked in flavor. When I asked server between their clam chowder or lobster bisque, the response was the chowder, buy because they were out of oyster crackers, which he considered very nice with the chowder, he would choose the bisque...will return to try chowder.

Yelp
Tom's is an oldie but a goodie. It's Dad's favorite place to meet up. Whether or not he admits it he's going up there and likes to stay close to home. So to Tom's we go for his birthday and Father's Day. It's always decent. It's mostly good. Falls short of great. The services is always on point. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if I could.

Yelp
Laid back, perfect location for Monday night football. They had an amazing looking platter, service was great but they seemed to be out of Malibu and Jack Daniels, I was kinda shocked being that the bar looked fully stocked. The waitress did her best to make sure we were accommodated. Would give them another try.

Karol C.

Yelp
A big disappointment for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was never around when we needed her. It took forever to receive everything. We waited at least 20 mins after finishing our food to receive the birthday dessert. Same with the check. We were there for almost three hours. All of our food items arrived warm or cold. None of it was hot. Opinion by item: oysters Rockefeller - taste: fair lobster bisque - taste: good lobster fries - lobster chunks were tiny and fried way too hard; they were more like crumbles of croutons crab egg rolls - minimal meat/mostly filling steak - cooked at right temp; fatty The wait for food and service was ridiculously slow. Our drinks were really the only redeeming quality. By the time I received my cheesecake with sparklers, I was sad. I couldn't enjoy it.

Nina M.

Yelp
The service from the bartender was stellar. The host(ess) was not as I was placed on hold to make a carry out order. After 5 minutes I had my other party just drop me off to place the order. I walked in to the host(ess) just standing there. All the food was great except the spinach dip. It tasted like it was heavy on cream cheese. It's a small space between bar seating and tables. Reminds me of a road with a bike lane: just enough space for everyone if you pay attention. The crab cakes are worth trying and the presentation is stellar. The Spanish coffee is a staple and they sale a lot for a reason. Try it if you like a warm, subtle nightcap kind of drink. The only thing I did not like was the spinach dip. It was heavy on what seemed like cream cheese and not a blend of cheese. The pricing is too high to toss out food, but that ended up in the trash. The chips were seasoned well, but this is an appetizer I'd skip. Carryout -faster at the bar than calling. The hostess placed me on hold for 5 minutes and never came back. I went inside and she was just standing there. Bartender got me together in two minutes and a cocktail within 5. This is a decent spot if you like seafood. The lobster bisque soup is great btw.

Yelp
I always drive past this place and yesterday I finally decided to go in and give it a try. The service was amazing I have no complaints but the food was disgusting. I always feel so bad for sending food back so I usually try to just eat it but I could not. I got the seafood paella and it was absolutely terrible no flavor at all and the rice was so mushy like oatmeal. Even the seafood tasted bad. So I returned the meal and got scallops as the server suggested to be the best thing on the menu. The scallops were HIGHLY disappointing as they came covered in maple syrup... MAPLE SYRUP!! I don't think anyone in their right mind should be eating seafood with syrup.

Yelp
Update to many previous wonderful post. As you can see that we're over baked. Received 2 additional that weren't any better. This has for as many year's Tom's has been in business for Oyster Rockefeller never, ever again last time we we're there I had a similar issue. Which was corrected not This time stick a fork in me I'm done just like Tom's over done dry oysters.

Stacey S.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was delicious and my margarita was perfect. Small restaurant but very cute and clean.

Yelp
Visited Tom's at the end of August and dined al fresco. Started with Spicy Tequila Gimlet and it tasted great! Went there for the Oysters and they have plenty to offer Dined on a delicious Lobster Bisque bowl, Salt Life Sampler, Raw Oysters and Oysters Rockefeller. Tom's is Oyster Heaven! They have quite a few raw oysters, too many to remember the area that they came from and the 3 different kinds that I ate there, but their menu of course tells you what the locations are Washed THEM all down with Dragonmead Final Absolution Tulip. Can't wait to go back to venture deeper into their raw oyster menu

Yelp
Everything was just ok. For the price, I should be saying everything was great. We ordered the sushi roll on special. The fish tasted fresh, but it was a mediocre roll, not much flavor. The po'boy consisted of more bread than anything else. It also lacked flavor and was pretty dry tasting. The dynamite shrimp tacos were also plain tasting. There was nothing "dynamite" about it. I imagined it would be spicy, but it actually didn't have much flavor at all. The cabbage slaw on it was dry. It should have been tossed in some sort of sauce. The sauce that was on the tacos was nearly non-existent, so I had to order an extra side. The broccolini had no seasoning or anything on it. The service was atrocious. The restaurant was not that busy, but it was taking forever to get anything, even water. Our chowder took 25min to get to us. My friend ordered prosecco, which was served in a single served sealed bottle, and it took 10minutes to get served. What should have been an hour dinner turned into 2.5 hours. The price does not reflect the quality of food and service. Everything was way over priced.

Tony S.

Yelp
Better off spending your money at Hazel's. Tom's just isn't what it used to be. The oysters were good but expensive. My wife's Srimp and Grits was okay, but nothing great. My tuna boul lacked any creativity (and taste) at all, and the drinks are overpriced. That said, the staff was nice.

Yelp
We had a nice dinner here. We ate out on the patio which was pretty nice but there was a little bit of noise from the road with loud cars. I had a pei oyster that was very good. But my dad loves oysters but found that the price point was too high he wasn't willing to pay an average of $5 for one oyster. That was kind of disappointing because that's the main reason why I picked this restaurant. I had the lobster bisque which was very good. However it was way too thick. I have eaten this at many restaurants and it's never been served this way before. We also had a house salad that we tried to share but for 9:50 it was incredibly small and even though it was very good that was disappointing. My stepmother had a sushi shrimp roll that she really enjoyed and was bigger than she thought would be. My dad had the seafood pasta which was really delicious. So we had a mixed experience the food was very good but found the prices to be a little too high. Our server Heather was very good.

Jona R.

Yelp
Toms is my happy place. Sitting up at the bar, getting a dirty martini with oysters is my favorite kind of relaxation. I have a gluten allergy and they are very knowledgeable and have a dedicated fryer in the back. The lighting is low and just has great vibes all around. Coming here for dinner is great but coming and having cocktails and apps is even better.

Dawn H.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch Friday before Christmas. It was fairly busy at 12pm but we quickly found seats at the bar. It became clear that there was only 1 bartender working and the restaurant became busier the longer we were inside. I ordered the spicy lobster roll and sirloin tips. The food came out fast and was seasoned well. This is when it became evident that the bartender was overwhelmed. I had to ask for soy sauce. He just brought the bottle, not the little dish it normally goes in, or chop sticks. The roll was good but eating with a fork was difficult. The sirloin tips were delicious. Cooked perfectly and the sauce under them added a layer of flavor. As my friend and I ate and conversed the other patrons began getting frustrated with the slow service from the bartender. At one point a guy began yelling that he had been waiting 45 mins for service, then stormed out. I felt bad for the bartender because the managers kept walking through but no one offered to help him. There didn't appear to be a bar back working that day so he was taking drink orders, making drinks, taking food orders, cleaning glasses/cups and restocking the liquor. I would go back but just during a less busy time.

Yelp
Haven't been here in 10+ years. Tonight I realized why....the food, the service, the warmer air inside the restaurant all translates into a weak dining experience. Whole table joked about the mediocre taste, quality and overall poor experience. It really was awful. Here is what the table ordered. Food: 1. Sushi rolls are tiny I mean small of small. And all have a weird sweet twang to them. Just odd. 2. Soups. I mean goop. They were not warmed up but who cares when your waitress is impossible to find. Lobster bisque was so damn thick almost like mayo. Disgusting honestly. 3. Shrimp Tacos - 1/5 slopped with sauce. 4. Perch - worst tasting ( no flavor) whatsoever 0/5 5. shrimp and grits. Come on guys. Serve this piping hot not luke warm. Wtf. 1/5 6. Mahi BbQ. Probably the worst mahi I have had. Super sweet seems to be a consistent theme overly cooked and such a small piece of meat. Didn't matter I didn't eat it as it tasted like ribs.... Skip this. Not worth it as we tried but struck out here BIG TIME. What happened, Toms???

Ash P.

Yelp
Came to this location to eat lunch with my son and found little gnats flying around everywhere and that to me is disgusting. we orders oysters rockafella and a array of other oysters and a martini was he food was good but having to wave a away gnats and eat was not delightful at all we will not be returning.

Kaylan C.

Yelp
Ordered the Baja fish tacos, fried oysters, and lobster fries. I absolutely loved the mini Tabasco sauces that were passed out as requested.

Michelle O.

Yelp
Greetings and salutations yelpers. Visited during a weekend getaway to Detroit. It's located on a chic trendy block of bars and happenings. Our wait staff was very friendly and engaging. Good value for dining. Food was ok. Basic bar food a level higher. Drinks were yummy and on the strong side. Soup was delicious. We ordered the sampler appetizer. The shrimp pretty tasty and had a little kick. The crab cake was ok as was the artichoke dip. Oyster Rockefeller was a bit disappointing. My main dish scallops was good. For me the Bourbon glaze threw it off. Sweet potatoes were a bit undercook. The lobster carbonara needed a bit more seasoning. But all in all good time had by all. NOTE: it pays to check in on Yelp. When checking in, I received a complimentary oyster. Heck yeah I redeemed immediately. Smooches all!

Yelp
My husband and I came in last night, and I'm very sad to say how disappointed we were in our trip here. We have come here many times before and liked it but last night was just not good. The main reason we came here was because we were craving the grand tower. When we looked at the menus we were shocked to see how expensive it had gotten! The small size used to be 69, was now 99. The large size used to be 99, was now 149. So we decided to get other items. We checked in on yelp and both got a free oyster. In the past we have got to pick what one to get, but she informed us last night that we were both getting the Chesapeake. Which was not the worst thing, just different than usual. We ordered the Wagyu Sirloin Tips to split and they were absolutely awful!!!! We ordered them to be cooked medium rare. They came out looking more medium to medium well. So disappointing! The flavor was terrible and there was maybe 5 measly pieces, for $17. Not at all worth it. I got a bowl of the lobster bisque. It was also mediocre at best. I was really looking forward to this but it was a let down, and I have had much better at places that do not specialize in seafood. We also split the spicy tuna roll, which if I am being honest was the best thing we had. And it wasn't even anything that great. Mostly just tasted like spicy mayo. The salt life sampler was something we have gotten multiple times before and have liked so we decided to get it again since we were not having much luck with anything else. But last night we just did not care for it at all. Just didn't taste like it used too. Not sure what happened to this place. The service was ok - a little on the slow side. And they had multiple tables open. Sad to say that unfortunately after this trip I don't think we will be rushing to come back any time soon. Will definitely try other seafood places in the area first.

Sergio H.

Yelp
As someone who's not a seafood enthusiast, I reluctantly joined friends at this restaurant for drinks. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. However, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and tried the crab cake, and I must say, it was a delightful surprise. The flavors were on point, making it a standout dish even for a non-seafood person like me.

Nick B.

Yelp
My colleague and I had lunch at Tom's Oyster Bar yesterday, and I was very much looking forward to the clam chowder as she told me how good it was. We sat at the bar, and the first thing I noticed is how nicely appointed the bar and restaurant is. The bar stools are a very nice leather in a light blue color with nailhead trim, and the surrounding booths are covered in diamond tufted black leather upholstery, which looks really elegant. The shelves of the bar are back-lit which illuminates all of the spirits inside the bottles and looks beautiful. The bartender who served us our lunch was awesome. He was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about all of the menu items. They have a special lobster menu (we were told only for another day or week) which has so many delicious sounding items on it such as lobster bruschetta, and lobster mac and cheese. We ordered the clam chowder, and the lobster carbonara, both of which are on the regular menu. The lobster carbonara was delicious in every way; the pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was creamy, light, and filled with Pecorino Romano cheese which is what real carbonara sauce should be made with. The lobster pieces were succulent and generous throughout the dish. It was one of the best seafood dishes I've had in a long time. I would return just to have that dish over and over again. It was absolutely perfect in every way. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for the clam chowder. I was disappointed for the following reasons. To begin with, it was not freshly prepared. I could tell it had been prepared in advance and reheated. It had thickened to the point of a pudding-like consistency, the potatoes in it were overcooked, and the temperature was just warm. The flavor was good, but the temperature and texture were bad. In my opinion, a restaurant that specializes in seafood--and is known for their clam chowder--should serve freshly prepared, steaming bowls of chowder every day they are open for business. If the chowder was freshly prepared, I absolutely would have ordered some to take home. I cannot recommend the clam chowder, but I can recommend the atmosphere, service, and lobster carbonara. I also want to return for a lobster roll, which is reasonably priced, and sounds delicious.

Maysa Z.

Yelp
Kim was our server and she was fantastic! The service was good the food was AMAZING!!!!! Every single thing we ordered was so tasty! I just wish they weren't skimpy on the shrimp with the pasta. Can't wait to go back and the more stuff!

Shana L.

Yelp
I went to Tom's this afternoon for lunch. The server was courteous and attentive. The clam chowder was a little thicker than I like; but the spinach and salmon salad was sooooo good. I'd definitely recommend. The servings were large for a great price :-)

Kate M.

Yelp
Great food and service! Highly recommend! Can't wait to come back! (Parked on street)

Nina M.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! The food hadn't even hit the table and we were talking about what to get during our next visit. The atmosphere, staff, and drink selection are perfectly placed. Our server, Deanna, was attentive, professional and sweet. The appetizer that we ordered ( salt life sampler) exceeded any expectation that we may have had. We shared the lobster carbonara and perch and it was perfect They also have outlets and USB ports at every table which is a huge bonus!! We 100% will be back and 100% recommend you visit SOON.

Julianne H.

Yelp
Amazing food! Amazing service! Amazing drinks! The best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had!

Rick G.

Yelp
Had Blue Point oysters, excellent. Also had the Volcano Roll, very excellent! In general all the menus items are great. Not to be missed is the Spanish Coffee!

Detroit M.

Yelp
Had a reservation for dinner and was seated promptly. Kim was our server and she was amazing. It was very busy night but she was always available to her tables and super nice to everyone. The drinks were delicious and strong and the food was amazing. Can't wait to return.

Laura H.

Yelp
This place is a vibe after dark with a group of friends. The waitress brought a plate of raw oysters free after buying a few plates and a round of good liquor. They were great and would go back for the great experience!

Jagger K.

Yelp
Just wanted to let everyone know this is by far the best seafood restaurant that I've ever had. I got the lobster tacos and the New England lobster roll. Holy shit. This is amazing.

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Tom's is a consistently good place to grab a drink and app before a show or after work. The Spanish coffee drink is so fun and gets lit on fire. The homemade cream they put in it is so delicious. The bartenders are always super cool. The oysters and apps are good. The sushi is pretty decent but just doesn't fit with the menu very much. I love the barstools too. It is a tight and narrow restaurant so not ideal for big groups and usually always pretty busy.

Philip A.

Yelp
Had dinner here recently. It was frickin amazing! I was lucky enough to see an open seat at the bar when I walked in and quickly snagged it. Ordered a beer and a bowl of clam chowder, a Spicy Lobster Sushi Roll, and a side of fries. I absolutely demolished it and almost ordered another of each. The bartenders were busy af bustin their butts and still gave me great service. Best dining experience I've had in months. Lacey is the best server ever!

Yelp
Really great place. The Spanish coffee is so good and they have a huge and diverse food menu with the options ranging from ousters to sushi. Overall just a really solid place to hang out and have a drink.

Yelp
Overall did not have a good experience here. I felt like our waitress was just super dry and unfriendly, not a smile not a good mood or anything. That's not even the worst part, the food was awful. The fact that the cooking staff had the Audacity to give me uncooked and rotten food was beyond me. The potatoes and fish were bland, gone bad and I literally cut them all open to show my waitress what they had given me, it was soo bad and I will never be back here. The perch was so dry and shriveled up it, did not taste like anything at alll. The sad little coleslaw was not bad but seriously? My cat needs more coleslaw than that. Pathetic.

Yelp
We had a reservation on a Tuesday night - they weren't really busy and we were 5 min early to our reservation. Ended up waiting 10+ min. The hostess was not the best and set up our tables incorrectly so three of us were mushed (however a lovely server who understand table set up adjusted the tables so we would be comfortable -i thanked her profusely) We had 5 people at our table had multiple drinks (first round of the same drink only because three of the drinks were sold out. (Drink delivery wasn't until Wed) Three surf and turfs all three were very good. Another scallops were amazing. One shrimp and grits really good but only had 4 pieces of shrimp. Toms Spanish coffee I highly recommend I wish I ordered two of these instead of the berry ginger beer first. We celebrated my sons birthday and they were great and gave him a key lime pie as a celebration!

Yelp
Our experience was so great. We always have wonderful service here but today Anthony killed it. I highly recommend this place. Thanks to Deanna for coming by, that's one good manager

Yelp
Overall good. It's first time an OpenTable restaurant took note of our booking request and had our table ready before arrival. Only problem was that the sushi came with imitation crab but the menu didn't specify that. However, I should have asked prior to ordering. Good service and atmosphere!

Yelp
We normally have a great time at Tom's. The evening didn't start well. Part of our party checked in early and didn't like the original table. After asking the waitress to move, they started to move to another table. The second group was walking in mid move. The hostess literally freaked out, started circling her face with her hand and repeating multiple times "I'm the hostess". No apologies for the extreme response. Later as food came out, there was a clear mix up and fish tacos were being served when someone ordered a large fish and chips. Almost everyone was done with dinner when the fish and chips came out. Then when we received the bill, the fish and chips and the fish tacos were on the bill. Needless to say, the multiple issues definitely marred a usually great restaurant experience at Tom's.
