Tom's Watch Bar - Pittsburgh

The house is packed for the Steelers playoff game and was delighted to find great service and an enthusiastic crowd!! A great view of the game from every angle! Highly recommend and would def come back again!

Sam was our server and she was just perfect! Helped us answer all our questions and even helped me pick out my meal.TVs are everywhere so you always have a spot to watch the game and it was the perfect lighting. Our cocktails were so deliciously made by the bartender. First time here and we will sure be back!

I can totally see why this place is 4.9 stars! Huge unique menu. Not your average sports bar fare. So much better. Great beer selection, tons of TV’s in and out. It was a slow chilly night in November but the bartender Christy was on her game. Made great beer and food recommendations and made sure I always had a cold drink. Can’t wait to. One back.

Christy was the vibe supplier and Pops was amazing in the kitchen. Pops went above and beyond. We asked if we could spice up the honey bbq wings. He came out of the kitchen and made a special sauce that had a bit more kick just because we asked. He even asked before hand if it was to our liking. In hospitality, this price point is unsusal to see this level of service. I only eat their prime rib sandwitch with gravy. I am quickly becoming a regular due to the sandwich and service.

Went for a tailgate before Packers Steelers game it was so fun and the food was amazing!!!!! Really good salad, wings, tenders and Mac n cheese!!!! Yummy sliders as well😍

Food: ordered the calamari for my appetizer & was highly satisfied. I haven't had calamari in years and they definitely did the dish justice 🦑 For my main dish, the avocado bacon burger was good; the avocado half was sizable, but to my personal liking. The perfect mix of tangy & meaty was in effect Service: my wonderful server was Chelsea and she made me feel like a regular. I asked about her personal recs bc I'm indecisive about new foods. She explained the fan favorites & why they earned the reputation. Also, when I got a water refill, she not only left in my lemon, but generously added another. I'll be a regular customer now, Tom's has raised the bar (literally) for North Shore life 🙌

Went here during Picklesburgh, and it was super good. I ordered the Birria Nachos which was really good and well portioned out. I do wish however, they gave more meat as that was a little sparse but the flavor was good. After the nachos were finished since my boyfriend and j shared we ordered the Adobo Chicken tacos and they were supposed to be corn but came out flour. That was the only issue we experienced being there. They give the big cans of High Noons too for a decent price. If I am ever back to the north shore, I would definitely go back! Plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. Also the service was super friendly!

Our server, Autumn, was super friendly and attentive! Very generous portions and fun crowd!

starting with the host, they were really friendly, our group can be a bit much, but Mackenzie is and was very patient with us she very knowledgeable with the menu with really picky people like us, the cocktail I order was really good & Im very excited to try the food! Thank you for your service !

Party of 4 adults . Food was good, I really enjoyed the French dip. Our server was nice. We waited about an hour and the bartenders were friendly during the wait. We asked for first available seating, aware this could mean outdoors in 20 degree weather, but it was Steelers night and we were bundled so let's go! We had seen some tables on the side that looked cold, but still cute. Well lit. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table at the very back of the outdoors where it was dark - no lighting at all, tvs were off, no music, no chairs at the table at first, staff constantly smoking and vaping and cussing and talking on their phones right by our table - it was miserable. There were multiple indoor tables available so I'm not sure why we got this one. People who came after us were seated at so much nicer tables, it made me sad. I should have said something, but as an older white woman I'm worried about being seen as a "Karen". Then the bill had a service charge on it, it's all on the screen so I didn't have time to study it, but wondered after what that charge was, idk, I feel they should have discounted our bill for the terrible table. The waitress noted that she always feels so bad for people seated at this table. Edit - I've come back to lower my review a star. It was really unacceptable. I challenge management to spend over an hour at that table in 20 degree darkness and see what it's like. Edit again to say: maybe I am a Karen, because what was that service charge? Why don't they hand you a receipt? Was it added gratuity that I added another 20% to?? I need a manager!! Luckily the night ended with the Steelers beating the Ravens and going to the playoffs!! So it didn't ruin our night!!

Crazy, hectic, and exciting place to watch the game. Big place, lots of beer choices, TONS of TV's, and decent food. A good place for people who love to watch sports.

Our crew was visiting from out of town for a hockey tournament. We were able to find street parking very easy on a Saturday. It appeared there was a pregame event for the Steelers game (which was the next day), so I was surprised parking was so easy. We were seated at a high top and our server was excellent! Attentive, checked in frequently and friendly. We had the typical "bar food." Burgers, fries, wings, wrap. Everything was good and hot the spot for a late lunch. TVs are everywhere, every angle. Patio! Clean restrooms All in all, it was a great lunch and great service. Lots of beer options too. ;)

I had the Poké bowl for dinner at Tom's Watch Bar and honestly, I wouldn't order it again or recommend it. I understand the concept of serving cold rice with Poké, but this rice was refrigerator hard cold, which really threw off the entire dish. The fish, avocado, and other toppings were fresh, but the temperature of the rice made the whole meal less enjoyable. I should've gone with the burger and fries instead of trying to be healthy late at night. On the positive side, the ambience was great -- lively and fun with plenty of beer options. It's in a convenient location too; I was staying at the hotel across the street, so it was an easy walk over. Great spot for drinks and atmosphere, but I'd skip the Poké bowl.

While, we was in Pittsburgh We had the pleasure of stopping by Tom's watch bar to have a Saturday evening dinner. The atmosphere was great. TVs were everywhere fun, sports bar. We got to watch SummerSlam on a giant TV with you. I really truly appreciated and loved. The food was fantastic. I got a giant beer the largest beer I've ever seen and it was awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this place and I will be back the next time. We are in Pittsburgh.

Food was delicious! But service was not amazing. The bartender was too focused on the game (which I understand) but it took us 20 minutes sitting at the bar to get our beer and it wasn't super packed. Besides that the bartender was nice and the food was good! Definetely best place to watch the game! Lots of tvs

What a great place to watch a game and have a great time. Tons of TVs and got to meet the owner who was very nice. White staff is tentative and very helpful when deciding what you want to eat. You will not be disappointed if you make your way down here.

Food was ok but the service was awesome and the ambiance was as expected for a sports bar. Prices were a little steep. For my husband and I to get two drinks (Tom's mar-great, topo-Chico--also great) and one app (pot-stickers -eh) it was $50 with tip.

CR was the very! Great customer service and great food. We are visiting from CA and would definitely come back!!

Pre-Pirates Game - Fried chicken and pancakes: The pancake looks like a doughy mess, but the boneless fried chicken pieces are thick and fun and delicious. The crispy coating is excellent and the chicken was cooked properly. - The burger is pure food service. Edible, but barely. This store could easily do better. - The tots that came with the burger are good; classic. Nothing special, nothing inspired, but solid tots. - We loved the prime rib/dip sandwitch. The jus is good. One of our group would come to this restaurant specifically for this sandwich. - Happy pre-game vibe; probably under-staffed for volume. Our server took great care of us.

The ultimate destination for watching all your favorite sports!! I checked out Tom's recently after 1 other not so great visit- I had been to Tom's one other time previously, right after they opened, and didn't have the best experience (it was mobbed and we didn't order any food- so couldn't judge on that) but it took forever to get a drink wnd the prices were outrageous- this time it was awesome- still an expensive spot but very cool and service improved. The food is elevated bar food. Everything was great! My favorite was the lobster & shrimp mac & cheese- unreal. Tasted better than what half of the fancy steak places around PGH serve. I also loved their prime rib dip sandwich and the nachos! Everything was delicious and I was very impressed For drinks I stuck with a glass of wine and also tried a fun shot. The wine pour was very generous! I will definitely be back after this experience

Writing this review mainly to highlight the Prime Rib sandwich. It is so consistently delicious every time, and I'll never stop recommending it. The meat is perfectly cooked, the bread is soft but sturdy, the cheese is mild, and the demi glace just takes it to the next level in terms of flavor. I get mine with fries, which I find to be really well seasoned, thin, and crispy! I tried the fried pickles on my most recent trip, they were alright, dipping in ranch helped enhance the flavor for sure! They were a bit oily for my liking.

Friendly service, cute decor, and a chill vibe. Plenty of choices for seating. A huge food selection.

Fun sports bar, but they give out free swag to people who leave 5-Star reviews (there's a sign at the front door for it) so don't believe the skewed high ratings. It feels a little sleazy that they do that. Service is quite slow & drinks are very expensive - deserving of an average sports bar rating but not 5 stars.

I know what we're all going to say... it's a sports bar and we don't expect it to be amazing, BUT with that said, I expect to get what I am paying for. The food was fine, portions were skimpy in regard to the poke bowl and the nachos. For the birria nachos, and considering the price point, I would hope to get more than a half scoop of birria. This is a prime location for a drink before a sports game, or to watch the game considering the overstimulating amount of tvs, but for what you're paying for I would just hope for a little more bang for your buck. Positive note! Shout out to our waiter, it was a busy night and it was only his second day and he was delightful and knowledgeable of the menu!

This is a perfect place to go before or after a game or even an event at AE. They have an open concept with a lot of TVs showing almost every game being televised. I will say it is rather loud. But, it is a sports bar. This was my second time here. And the food and service are great. With a nice selection of drinks, you can't go wrong. I may have been a party of two, but, I observed many larger parties around us. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. With good food, good drinks, good music and wall to wall sports, Tom's is a great place to go and meet up with your friends and family.

I attended my cousin's college graduation party and I was pleasantly surprised of how well the staff accommodated the reservation! The food was set up buffet style and I couldn't get enough of the fries and mini sliders. Fun party atmosphere that felt welcoming to all.

Excellent sports bar! Much bigger than it looks on the outside. Great TVs all over for your sport viewing. Good draft line and cocktails. Friendly bartenders who stay on top of service. Great place to watch games!

We always try and stop at Tom's Watch Bar when in Pitt! Great service and amazing food and drinks! Highly recommend the Prime Rib Dip sandwich! To die for!!

A lot of 'drink specials' but be careful of the fine print. We were told about all these discounts and even double checked the price with our server but still had a bit of a shock when the bill came. Apparently the $4 happy hour doesn't always apply to all draft beers. Lots of TVs which is great for sports.

Tom's had the quickest best service we've had in a while! We brought all four of our kids and got our appetizers in less than five minutes. Jocelyn is a stand out waitress and was super professional really really fast. There were really great sports on TV and we enjoyed the bar overall. Highly recommend!! I would leave pictures of our food, but we literally ate everything .

This place is super lively to watch Steelers games! I'm shocked it's taken us this long to check it out. Solid apps and drink selection and there's plenty of seating. Gotta love Tom's!

Wow!!! The Prime Rib sandwich truly lives up to the hype! I would come here again just for that . Also enjoyed the atmosphere. We were able to eat outside on the patio . Our waitress was super sweet. We enjoyed the chicken nachos, which had very generous portions with lots of yummy toppings. My husband had the hot ,buffalo , crispy chicken sandwich with loaded fries. He was so full because he couldn't stop enjoying the yummy meal !This is a fun spot to watch a game or to have a meal before going to a game. Lots of drink options as well.

Omg! LOVE Tom's watch bar. My husband and I came to watch the Bama/Auburn game and Joselyn gave us THE best service! Drea was so much fun, has the best smile, and was so so attentive! The food was incredible and the vibe was unmatched. We will be back!

Wow, I'm impressed! The food is so good. The ahi tuna tower is absolute fire. So many different flavors and textures to it. It also comes with a side of a garlic aioli. The nachos and fried calamari were also really good. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the service was just a little slow but she was still super nice!! It's also a pretty cool sports bar. It's very open and there's lots of TVs to watch from. It's a nice and chill place to hang out during game days.

This sports bar has a great atmosphere, tons of TVs for every game, and amazing cheese curds--crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. The service is friendly, the drinks are cold, and it's the perfect spot to catch a game with friends. GO PIRATES

Absolutely atrocious. Made a reservation at 12pm during a Pitt game. At 2:30 we were on deck. At 2:45 I asked where we were in line after watching a party of 4 get seated who had just walked in (we were a party of 5). I was upset and was asked to leave the bar at 3pm. At 3:08 I received a text that our table was ready. My friends were still there as I had some place to be- answered with "1" to confirm. They still Cancelled my table. Friends (including 1 from San Diego) out of luck. Good look folks!

This place is chaos, but so worth it. The service is incredible, the food is really good, but its yinzers on the north shore, so the crowd on game days will definitely keep me away. However, on non game days, I would definitely come back for their nachos, drinks and their calamari is probably one of my favorites I've had in the burgh. Tom's plans great events with giveaways, sports celeb appearances, and watch parties, too, when the home teams are away. Nice way to still get the experience without the travel. Came in the day before the game. The table was sticky and all the wait staff was busy either hanging decorations or talking to each other at the bar. My wife ordered a Moscow mule that she liked, I ordered an IPA off the limited beer menu. I get it, there are lots of tvs and it's in the N.S. but there wasn't anything that looked appealing on the menu. We only ordered chips and queso which we barely ate and then got our check and left. It's honestly not worth going to as there are way better spots on the North Side.

The restaurant was super crowded when we were there before a Pitt night game, so I didn't expect good service. We were very pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was great. We had a party of ten abc only one drink was missed (she got it quickly). The food was ready amazingly fast and was good. The pickle chips weren't crispy enough, but the tuna tartar was very good & so was the calamari. The burgers looked over cooked, but friends reported that they tasted good. They also said the fries were good and they looked crispy. The sound was crazy. There was a DJ, the TV sounds, and people. It was so loud. Almost impossible to hear anyone. If you just want to watch games, it's great. So many TVs everywhere & good food & service. If you want to talk to the friends you're with, you might want to try another bar.

It's 11:45pm. My friend and I closed out of the tab. We were confronted by our server, Ty. She says "Yall gotta go." I respond "I'm sorry I thought you closed at 12." She responded with "Yall gotta go because I gotta go. The TV is off sir." Not sure what kind of hospitality/management this place accepts but this is not it. I would not recommend this establishment due to hostility from servers.

Everything needs improving. I was here prior to this visit, and another bad experience. From the dirty front door to dirty bathrooms, sticky dining room floor im guessing hasn't been properly washed in months. Food like warm, dirty glasses with finger prints and lip stick on them. Draft beer was flat, no creamy head I was expecting. BAD, BAD, BAD !!
